So this is my concept for the Ark aberration community vote.

This is Hallucigenia, a Palaeozoic Lobopodian that crawled forth from the primordial depths of the Cambrian era. Their abilities are as every bit alien as their appearance. Mutated & magnified by the extreme conditions of the Aberration they adapted & thrived to become one of the most successful predators in a radioactive wasteland.

Hallucinatory hazard

The Hallucigenia are specialists in foraging & consuming dangerous mushrooms that grow within Aberration. Sequestering spores of unstable mushrooms the Hallucigenia has the ability to hoover these spores much like a vacuum, in which the worm can utilise them against prey or enemies. Passively the Hallucigenia absorbs spores released from Fertile red, Bioluminescence cold & Element branched mushrooms leaving the worm & its rider unharmed, indicated by the colours emanating from the siphons on its sides. This allows the Worm to utilise the mushrooms effects in the form of an iridescent fog emitted from its pores in the style of the Gasbag or from the creatures maw as a breath attack.

Blinding lights

The Hallucigenia has evolved to become the predator of the Seeker. The head stalk of the Hallucigenia is capable of emitting a  bioluminescent glow in which the worm uses as a lure to attract these winged fiends, similar to that of the esca present in Deep sea Anglerfish. As predators the Hallucigenia deals extra damage against Seekers, additionally the worm is capable of metabolising Seekers & converting it to charge where it stores into its back spines. These spines enables a Survivor to collect & recharge lost charge light in batteries as well as aid Light pets.

As an alternative attack the Hallucigenia is capable of using its head stalk to charge & produce a blinding flash that stuns & blinds threats for several seconds depending on how long the charge, longer the hold the longer the duration. This attack comes at the cost of collected charge light.

Love the idea! But I think it strains a little too far from the actual creature, but makes sense as it evolved to suite aberration.

I really wanted to put something out there that was weird enough to fit with the map and have a deep love for cambrian and precambrian weirdos.

Hallucigenia would be a companion that would shake up the PVP meta and also be a fun light source. In PVP having wiggly mine fields of vomit worms would be great defense and in PVE they would simply be a tamable light source and a taming aid.

Obviously the plan for any submission is to pack it full of features and let WC reduce but the abilities of it being on you can range from:

- Oxygen increase
- Radiation reduction
- Immunity to mushroom patches and other hallucigenia
- Light pet

The turret offspring would be a blueprint (like blood packs in a desmo or argie crafting) and would fall under turret limit in PVP. The range of the hallucinigenic field would be increasable like a light pet's stats with breeding (a better blueprint from the parents) for those in PVE that want fun RP stuff it could have a separate blueprint just for lights.

The base lighting effect could be one solid color or while it's hypnotizing, a sickening rainbow (or a sweet rave!) and would pulse like a slug parasite (the weird eye one)

I love this creature and the design, it is very original and amazing!

This idea of the original is seriously great and a fresh air to the creatures that are possibly going to be published, it is my favorite at the moment, although I cannot vote for it yet, I will do it when I can!

This little critter will be a common site slowly moving through water and lands of the bioluminescent zone, though it can move quite fast if provocked. It can be passively tamed through petting it while having a light pet equipped, as it is attracted to charge light.

It is the size of a hyenadon and while it can't be ridden or inflict much damage , it can deal massive torpor by shooting it's back spikes repeatedly like a porcupine or velonosaur, helping tame many other creatures. These spikes also cause severe hallucinations for humans.

It is a filter feeder of the various spores and air particles on the ARK and thus has no food bar. Though if a survivor places a red, blue & green gem its inventory it will consume these items and transform them into a primal substance that can mutate other creatures when fed to them!

A creature that its own discoverers thought they were hallucinating when they saw it...
From an era lost in time...
A creepy worm with giant spines, clawed tentacles, and toxic bioluminescence... that's your new friend!

🌟Hallucigenia!!!🌟

Hello to all the Survivors!!!👋
It is a pleasure to be able to present a creature for the Ark votes, you don't know what excites me, I wanted to participate for a long time and the opportunity finally came, Hallucigenia is a fascinating being that in my opinion fits very well with Aberration, and I would love to be able to to see this eccentric worm helping the survivors of the Ark, if you would also like to see him you would be super grateful for your vote for Hallucigenia.😁
(Sorry if you don't understand something, my English is very bad).

📖Basic information
Hallucigenia is a prehistoric worm from the Cambrian that has a tubular body, tentacle-like arms, legs with a hooked appendage, and large spines on its back.
It inhabited the Cambrian oceans 500 million years ago, where it was primarily a scavenger.
After joining the Ark that suffered from the Aberration accident, Hallucigenia underwent certain transformations due to high doses of radiation: it mutated to a larger size, developed biotoxins, and gained luminescence.
Hallucigenias is an omnivorous creature that often hangs out near water in places like the Luminous Marshlands, being ignored by small to medium-sized predators due to the toxic load of its glowing spines. It has a neutral behavior, although it is curious towards light sources.

🌏Habitat
Hallucigenia are found mainly in environments close to water, be it ponds, swamps, or oceans, where they feed on vegetation or small prey.

🐛Behavior
Hallucigenias has a neutral behavior, it usually walks calmly in front of the water's edge in search of food or a partner.
It becomes aggressive only if it takes damage from some other creature, which is rare since predators like Ravager or Raptor often ignore it.
Although larger hunters are a threat, this one has an ace under the tentacle, when it takes major damage it spews a toxin into the air that causes the predator to become poisoned, causing the animal to behave erratically, wildly and run away. In humans it produces very violent hallucinations.

🍄Domestication
Hallucigenia passively tames itself with different types of mushrooms that it will ask for as the process progresses, but Danger! You must be careful, with each feeding Hallucigenia will expel its toxic gases as a chemical process from its varied diet.
Hallucigenia, is a great shoulder companion, once tamed, carrying it will generate a symbiosis where it bonds with you and adapts to your body like a living backpack.

🔰Skills
🔆Light (Anti-Nameless/Reaper Ambush)
Its spines have a high luminescence, giving us a Light that debases certain predators that hate it like the Nameless.
💪Weight reduction
Due to its large number of limbs, it reduces the weight in your inventory by 70%.
defense against enemies
Its spines also have the ability to grant us 40% damage reduction and reflect 40% of the physical damage received.
🏔️Climbing
Hallucigenia will allow us to climb both natural vines and artificial zip lines and has the ability to help us scale walls and ceilings in a similar way to a Bloodstalkers but much more limited. Also, if you slip and fall into the void, it acts as a lifeguard against falls, holding on to a nearby wall or ceiling.
☢️Radiation Immunity
Hallugenia grants you radiation immunity as long as you have Plant Z seeds in your inventory.
🏅Status Effects
The most curious thing about this creature is that depending on the food we give it, it can expel its toxins, immunizing us, intoxicating enemies or expelling gases that grant us certain momentary abilities.
Thank you for reading!!!💗
