The ability to craft cool armor

We need the ability to collect certain materials and pelt to craft special armor that as your crafting it you can apply different skins and paints to make it your own design. Also depending on what materials that are used will decide on the type of stats the armor has like the more metal you apply the heavier it is but the more defense it has and or durability. And you can then allow people to create a whole system for designing armor. You can even go into as much detail as possible like down to what holds it together like rivets or leather strap. Also how many plates of armor and where they are located and how thick the plates or where the leather parts are located etc.

Cosmetic stuff is pretty meh. If it had some actual purpose like different stats then it might be interesting.

Conan Exiles has an excellent system of sideways progression armour along with tier progression which provides both cosmetic and stat variation would could be used as a basis for Ark 2's brainstorming.
