AnnoyingGamer
I just finished the latest update of ARK on Epic. It was 11.4 GB. and my friend only got 2.87 GB. We both have the same free DLCs and same epic ark accounts (free once). Why did I get a bigger update than him? How can I reduce it in future updates? Moonie1
Mine is only 686.2 MB and is taking way too long to install for being on my SSD. Out of all the games I play, ARK is the worst one at patching, updating and installing even tho its the only game I allowed on my SSD.
CanisLupus
ARK is literally drinking my HDD space for some reason and its honestly getting more and more obnoxious every time. This game takes up absurd amounts of space for what it is. Like Moonie said, ARK is horrendous at patching, updating and installing as a game. Which could easily be fixed if WildCard simply fixed their game and actually optimized it, but we all know they won't do jack about that. They just care about making new content for money rather than providing a game that has been properly optimized. Even DoD is better than this, and that says a lot about WildCard to put it frank. zero064
Ark updates have been "epic" in size since long before the Epic version was thing. Last year I got sick of always juggling space and picked up a 2TB NVME drive just for Steam stuff. Problem solved, for now at least.
