Sinstr1
I've read the wiki and believe that the better the Crossbow, more torpor is delivered per hit. Is this correct? I few of my friends have suggested otherwise. This in particular: "Since the torpor level deliver by a Tranq Arrow scales with damage" Making the 1st attempt at a Megalodon, any suggestions. Thanks First post, but have been lurking for a while
Jghake
The weapon with higher damage will do more torpor. Source: http://ark.gamepedia.com/Tranquilizer_Arrow
Sinstr1
Referencing this part, correct? "Upon hit, they instantly increase the target's torpor by an amount equal to 200% of the weapon damage"
Bain
Not sure of the finer mathematics behind it but the more dmg on the weapon- the more torpor it inflicts. Shoot ur tame in the face with both and check btw- meant already tamed so you can check the torpor lvl after shooting
Reese33
the higher the melee% the more torpor inflicted over the 5 seconds that tranqs cause torpor so yes the mc will knock it out way faster than a primitive ad even if did the same torpor its way more durable
Zadira
So, does this mean that you need to count higher if the damage inflicted is higher? I get so confused at how many seconds to count between arrows. I know that we were finally able to tame a dire wolf by counting to ten between arrows, otherwise we kept killing them. If we use a higher bow next time, do we need to count longer?
Sinstr1
^^^^ I would like to know this also.
BigChainsaw
Pretty sure the torpor just scales with the damage. So that if with a primitive crossbow the torpor rises by 10 for 5 seconds then with a mastercraft crossbow the torpor will rise by 20 for 5 seconds. Idk what the actual torpor stats, but using a mastercraft crossbow is much better.

BigChainsaw
There's taming calculators to do that for us.
Detswit
Yes it does increase torpor. For torpor numbers check out my recent post:
Sinstr1
Thank you all for the replies. I have since noticed the calculator's bottom half of the page can have the melee value changed. Thanks again, Sinstr
