Merging tribes pve

I have been asked to join another tribe by means of merging but what should my governance settings be prior to merging to allow me to access all my resources after merging and what would happen to said structures/dinos if we unmerged at a later date. I can't see this happening as I get on well with the tribe (boss battles etc) and have known them for a long time. I just want to know the options available to me as I cant find any info on the forum, thanks .

Set dino and structure to personally owned, unclaim any dino that doesn't have your name on it and claim it after setting personnal ownership.

You cannot unclaim structure, so if you built with tribe owned, it will be theirs unless you replace everything once you set it to personnally owned.

The accepting tribe won't change the ownership of the dino/structure unless it was tribe owned before the merger.

thanks paroxyde, so no settings needed on my tribe prior to merge but when merged unclaim and claim any dinos with new settings. that helps.
