The mounds will spawn near you on the beach. Don't fly over the beach, they spawn in near proximity so just wander around beaches and i'm sure you'll see one or two after a short while. I don't know if they are confined to beaches yet, that's the only place i've seen them so far. Tek Rex's are rare spawns I believe. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Corrigan Posted June 17, 2018 Share Posted June 17, 2018 Tek rexes are indeed rare. It Took us all night, the first night, and then some until we had finally found one. Sadly, it was a lower level. The fossils spawn anywhere. They've been spawning inside our base, along beaches, when I'm out farming for stone inland. They do seem to just spawn around you. I would take my griffin and fly along the beaches looking for them, but I figured out that I've collected more juat by walking around doing my normal activities. The fossils with the red/orange glow contain goodies, blueprints, etc. I'm on an unofficial so I can't confirm if the red glowing fossil mounds are on officials too.
