Please add a video quality setting on console, or INI because i can not play the game if i am soaking turrets running past turrets looking at a built cave breeding dinos. i take 3 minutes to load into maps and have a 50/50 chance of crashing when i load it. please add video quality setting as its the only reason people heavily prefer computer over console. i average 40 fps just playing the game aswell

Mods for ARK Console Editions Dear Studio Wildcard, Even if I love ARK,I have to say that its quite boring to play it on console. And because I don't have a PC,that's good enough to play ARK,I have to use a PS4 to play that cool game.I wish there was a way to mod the game on consoles,so that we can also enjoy an extended ARK with all the features of mods like CKFR,S+,Eco's mods,Pimp my home,Primal fear and so on.I'm sure I'm not alone with this wish and I'm sure all console players would love this. It would good to be able to have multiple saves of each section. By this I mean, for The Island, one save I can play on my own, and another I can play with friends. This would be for single player mode. At this stage I can not find a way to do this. Also please remove tethering of players joining other games.

Let tribemates see the green light of another tribemate dead body
C0nan posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
When you die only you can see the green light of your dead body. Sometimes if you crash when get back to the game you are dead and can’t find that green light of your body. Would be awesome if a tribemate could see it too to find it faster (even a different color so they know it ain’t their dead body incase both players died).- 31 replies

I hoped for this for year and I am finally gonna ask: Could you please add a scale or any other way to increase stack sizes on console? Yes I know that I can do that with a Nitrado server, but I don't want to have to pay, just to craft a good saddle blueprint or a high quality swat peace. Please upvote this, this change is really needed

So me and my tribemates need to do Gen2 to finish the game, the issue with it is is that we are unable to beat all the missions ( just the race ones left to be exact) due to both server lag as well as our consoles being unable to meet the demand of the game to run smoothly throughout the missions, causing us to lose due to lost time. So I am curious if the Devs changed the requirements to enable the Gen2 boss fight? When I say that I mean can we get someone to start up the fight for us if they have all the missions unlocked or do we have to accept our fate and beat it at the lower difficulty?

So as the title suggests, I think there needs to be an official way for console players to get mods. There's a game I used to play called Skyrim SE. In that game you could get mods on every platform that game was. Some mods would only work on certain platforms due to certain restrictions, but at least there were options for everybody. Originally mods were PC only, but then the developers of that game added official mod support for all platforms. They then slowly but surely starting porting mods that were originally PC only to other platforms. There was also the ability of modders to develop mods for other platforms from the start. Also if dev kit was available on all platforms that'd be epic. Imagine playing something like primal fear or having the latest mod map on console. Certain mods that are on the more chill side might make it to official while more extreme mods might be unnofficial. I don't how much of what I said is possible but still I'd definitely love to see modding options available on all ark's platforms.

Some SIMPLE changes that would go a long way for Console Ark
Rossnvnw67 posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
Console Ark has always been a struggle, just because of the (lack of) power that consoles have. Here are some REALLY SIMPLE changes that could be made to make a console player's life much easier. 1. GRAPHICAL SETTING OPTIONS. For real guys, why can't console players turn off the godawful light shafts, shadows, and bloom quality from the game menu? Every time I log onto Ark, I have to first go onto my single player, type in these commands and then log into whatever server I'm playing on, and then do it again when my game inevitably crashes while I'm playing. I don't know if anyone from the Dev team has played Ark with high gamma, and then flown up into the sky. Your screen literally turns white, you literally can't see anything. Not exaggerating. Allow us PLEASE to tune these settings. As well as that, if it's at all possible, give the option to change resolution settings. Console players don't need textures to look amazing, we’re playing on an xbox and a $100 TV from Walmart. We just want to get above 5fps inside our bases. Please Wildcard. 2. MOUSE AND KEYBOARD. I know this one is a longshot, but Xbox just gave the capability, and Ark is such an advanced game. It could be made a lot more fun, competitive, and just convenient by allowing mouse and keyboard. Xbox Small Tribes servers are already loaded with people playing on mouse and keyboard because they are Cross-platform. Anyone who's played console will understand the struggle of making gunpowder. *Press and hold* "One stack of sparkpowder" *Press and hold* "Two stacks of sparkpowder". It's excruciating. 3. TRANSFER ITEM OPTIONS. On the subject of making gunpowder, the whole “press and hold” to transfer one stack this is horrid. Making bullets requires you doing this hundreds and hundreds of times, whereas PC players can hold down T and wave their mouse around to transfer stacks super quickly. If we can’t have mouse and keyboard, something that would be great would be a “transfer x amount” feature. Or even a “transfer x stacks”. Small things, like when you added LB to take all, go a LONG way to making the game more convenient and streamlined for controller players. 4. DINO MOVEMENT. Jeeeeez guys this is brutal. I loved the “disable ally looking” option that you added, I’m asking you to take it a step further and give an option to turn off passive dino movement. I don’t want 100 wyvern tails dancing all over the place, I don’t want massive Bronto tails pushing me around. I don’t want my dinos to have an aneurysm every time they eat food. I know that it’ll look weird just having all your dinos sit there like statues, but its so worth it if it would help the framerate, even a little bit. If it’s simply an option, that puts the power in the players’ hands to decide if it’s worth it. 5. ACCOUNT LOYAL IMPRINTS. This isn’t a console-specific suggestion like the others, but still this needs to happen. You guys obviously feel pretty bad when your players lose characters. But rather than you having to deal with thousands of tickets, why not just give us what we wanted in the first place? I’m going to tell you right now, if you made dino-imprints loyal to an account rather than a character, people won’t care about lost characters anymore. Very minimal people care about losing tek engrams. Everyone on Ark knows someone that can get them another run through the Boss Fights. The biggest hit when you lose a character comes from the fact that you now have Dinos without imprints. On PvP servers, imprints are everything. Back when you guys set imprint timers to 8 hours from 3-4 hours, you cited that you were making the game a little healthier. If that’s still something you care about, you should give people the ability to hold onto Imprints. I’ve had tribemates lose a character and lose upwards of 500 imprinted tames because of it. That’s hours of work, wasted. Unlesssss, you guys come through for us on this. I know that the community agrees on this. 6.FIX ARGIES PLS N TY. Yeah I almost forgot, also not a console-specific thing but holy hell. Fix the Argent's picking issues.- 49 replies

Hello. I'm on a (Nitrado) cluster server for Xbox. The servers will be shut down due to lack of players. One map will run out of time before the other. I'm wondering if it's possible to cryo some really liked tames and transfer/upload to my single player file?... Even if it means starting over on my sp file. I'd be fine with that.

Two Things to Add to console ark (graphics settings) (keybinds change)
primflak posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
I think i can speak for a decent amount of the player base in saying that lag on the original Xbox is terrible. some people dont have or want to spend 500-1000 on a new console. With the lag, Personally, I don't think I could even count the amount of times I've crashed, disconnected from the server, or completely freeze-lagged for a good few seconds, only to find that ive been killed from something I can't do anything about. sometimes console servers, doing even very simple tasks can make things take wayyy more time than they should. If like on pc, you could change the different values for your graphics settings on Console would make a lot of sense. adding customizable graphics to console would not only save the players time, but it would also be a much more enjoyable experience. many people would gladly sacrifice for the much needed fps boost. The next thing that console could greatly use would be to have the ability to change what different buttons do, this could make pvp much more competitive, and more fun. manual change Keybinds on pve could also make things more efficient, and faster. Have a feeling both these changes would no doubt make the game better, and much more fun to play -
qol Allow to drop all (filtered) items from inventory from console
iKore posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
In a game like CS:GO, it is possible to use the console to perform certain actions and to bind those actions to keys. For example bind "f7" "buy vest; buy smokegrenade;" will buy body armor and a smoke grenade if you press the F7 button on your keyboard. Something similar would be (IMHO) quite useful for ARK. (I'm not sure if this will have a negative impact on PvP, hence I mainly propose this for PvE. But it might be useful for PvP as well.) Some specific example where it would be useful: When I'm gathering resources with a dino (an Anky for instance), I generally pick up a lot of resources that I'm not interested in. Like stone or berries when I'm trying to gather metal. Right now I have to pause the gathering, go to my dino's inventory use some search terms such as "berry" and "st" (for both stone and crystal) and hit "Drop all" in order to lose some weight. It would be really nice if we could have some kind of command such as bind "f7" "dino-inventory drop *berry*; dino-inventory drop *st*;" that allows us to drop all items from the inventory that matches such a filter (the "*" here being a wildcard), hitting the F7 button. Alternatively some kind of "opposite" filter to drop everything except for something specific. bind "f7" "dino-inventory drop-all --exclude metal;" (The commands themselves are just the first things I can think of and are open for debate.) This way I don't have to perform the same repeated action manually, which would be a nice quality of life improvement. Naturally, it should also be possible to undo those binds. I'm looking forward to your thoughts. -
I don't know if this is just something that could never happen, but I would really like to see a console update where you could use the console from the main menu. Would also help if there was a predictive text and error display. I'm looking at source games for my suggestion, but even if it didn't have the qol update I still would love to see the console in the menu. This would be a better option than joining a single player world every time before being able to use it.
