PREADATOR X: REVIVING THE FEAR OF THE OCEAN.
baryonyxA239 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
INTRODUCING PREADATOR X :THE FEAR OF THE OCEAN Arks oceans are a very dangerous and scary place early on in Ark. but as you evolve, it becomes less and less daunting. The concept is here to change that. Pliosaurus or Preadator X is a creature that is to be feared. As soon as you enter water up to your waist, you better hope you forgot to put food away, because it’s minions commonly known as ENCHODUS will seek in on you about 3 at a time and drag you under to your doom. The living room that is… so that was a brief intro on my creature, but here is a more in depth analysis including a longer “story” I couldn’t fit in the dossier. ABILITYS (wild) Preadator X’s first and most notable ability is its minion ability. If you enter water deep enough to drink from, depending on the type, any food will give a smell that Enchodus can laser in on. They will then drag you down to the approaching Pliosaur and gnash you in process. The only way to escape is by killing all of them. If you fail to escape, they will bring you close to the Pliosaur and release you and leave. The Pliosaur will then try to suck you in using a powerful whirlpool like ability. In this state it becomes stationary and swimming out of the whirlpool (if you can) will secure your life. The second way is while the whirl pool is sucking you in, toss in a poison grenade to falter the Pliosaur and deal torpor. This is only way to apply torpor to tame this creature. However if you don’t manage to escape, the Pliosaurs mouth will snap shut, dealing massive damage, disabling tek, and applying bleed. If you are lucky to survive this, you will likely be too far down and drown or the Pliosaur will suck you in again. Preadator X concept ABILITYS (tamed) Once tamed, Preadator X has a very tanky saddle and many abilities. It’s first is the same as the wild ability to suck in nearby creatures with the effect as wild. It’s second ability is to summon enchodus that while are tamed by the survivor, but loyal only to the Pliosaur. They will flank the Pliosaur like a living force field that when the Pliosaur is attacked, the enchodus take the damage instead. They can also be commanded by the Pliosaur to attack a single target and if it goes below 15% health will be taken back to Pliosaur and the Pliosaur will heal some health when it eats that target. However Preadator X’s most powerful ability is after charging up energy by killing, it will gain the ability to control enemy and wild tames and they will knock off and damage the riders and swim towards the Pliosaur becoming passive. After being uncontrolled the Preadator Gains 25% of each creatures damage (the limit of controlled creatures is 8 )and it will take the damage for its own lasting 30 seconds but will take 50% more damage for this duration. Pliosaur can also go on land but it has a water stat that the higher it is the faster it will go on land and water. Being on land will lower it, wear-as being in water fills it. Enchodus concept HELENA NARRATION I have encountered many dangers in the oceans of many Arks but none surpass the threat and fear of Preadator X. It is feared by all due to its nature of ambushing with low chance of escape. I have however seen a tribe take one down, and an even more fearless tribe manage to actually tame one. I was very puzzled on how they managed to do it but after a lot of watching, and a lot of injuries I managed to knock one out and tame it. It is done by the little used Poison grenades thrown in the mouth when the opportunity presents itself. Once knocked out any kibble will do, but for some reason enchodus flesh works much better. A tamed Pliosaur is very useful in many situations but one I can remember is when I was corned by the shoreline by and enemy tribe and my tamed Preadator X leaped out of the water and kills the leader sending the rest fleeing in terror. -Helena Walker quick side note: my original plan for this creature was to have it on Val or lost island or fjordur, but this is mostly to. Raise impressions so don’t feel obligated to vote this time, save it you can for another map. Thank you reading - Baryonyx A239 -
abilities: m1 bleed effect, m2 charged bite attack that builds more damage the longer it's held (with a pack of 4 max.) You gain 15% bonus damage reduction, speed, and attack boost. While holding shift, you can leap out of the water to gain a huge amount of distance. To be tamed, you would have to ride on its back for a certain amount of time. It'll eat out of your hot bar but will not gain taming effectiveness; it'll prevent it from eating you (they spawn in packs, so beware if you're solo). To breed, they'd act like your average dino on land; they just lay their eggs in the sand like modern-day sea turtles. That's all. Please vote for Dakosaurus if you find it cool for the center. ❤️😄

Speed 600 weight(selica and black pearls weight less in its inventory) About: Rhizodus gigas is giant fish that terrorizes freshwater, sometimes saltwater and even land fauna that got unlucky being near water while Rhizodus is around. Even tho Rhizodus gigas is a fish it can crawl on land to catch its prey, but prey on land is fast so it uses it slimy belly to charge at it and have better chances of catching it. Original Earths Rhizodus was only a Freshwater fish but Rhizodus gigas can also be found in oceans. Abilities: 1. Grab When Rhizodus catches small prey it swallows it whole but when it catches big prey it takes it as deep as possible and drowns it, in fear preys oxygen drains way faster than usuall. If you tame it you can use grab ability to grab your own tames or tribemates and take then underwater without worrying about them drowning cuz Rhizodus will provide them with oxygen. If it grabs another water creature it will start mauling it with its powerfull jaws Deals 70 damage doesnt matter if u grab wild creature or your own tame 2. Tail slap Tail slap stuns small animals in water and does huge knockback + bonebreak(20 sec.) on land. Deals 50 basic damage 3. Charge Charge gives Rhizodus speed boost for 7 seconds and deals 5 basic damage to everything that gets in the way 4. Slide Rhizodus can use its slimy belly to slide on land like a penguin, but can use it only 3 times, if all 3 is used it will have cooldown 10 minutes until you can use it again 5. Fire resistance Slime protects Rhizodus from getting burned or take damage from fire 6. Thick skull Rhizodus will take less damage from being shot/hit in the head Gender dimorphism Males have large payara like teeth to fight and atract females and long snout. Those teeth are large enough to land deadly wounds and cause massive bleeding even to animals bigger than Rhizodus itself. Females have short but wide snout with catfish like teeth to protect their eggs by hiding them in their mouth. Wide mouth suck in multiple of small creatures Taming method: 1. Use repelant and let it swallow you after which it will spit you out and take some torpor(will drop very slowly) and then wait for it to do it again to knock it out, Rhizodus will eat any sort of meat exept for spoiled one but its most favorite is lamb 2. Become Jeremy and use fishing to tame it! 3. Make it swallow something poisonous to make it fall unconcious 4. Make it swallow carbonemis so it will choke and fall unconcious Can farm: Selica pearls, Black pearls, stone and flint Cant shoot from saddle Thanks for art to ArtSaturator on twitter (probably gonna recieve some changes, most likely fins)

PYTCHODUS: THE MOSA CRUSHING SHARK
Eclipsomations posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Temperment: Aggresive Rarity: uncommon Size: Similar to a plesio yet slightly larger Diet: Meat Location: The aquatic pit under the flying island on the center Encounter: While some see the water under the flying island the center has become known for as a relatively peaceful area of ocean, those people have not encountered this beast. This creature attacks anything and everything that comes near it, grinding their bones (and armor) to nothing but a mushy paste in a couple of hits. This results in these creatures being feared by most survivors who like their flak armor (and more importantly scube tank) intact. Taming: These creatures are too aggresive and strong to just shoot with tranqs, they have to be in a weakened state. Survivors more daring than myself have figured out just the key to that. By giving the ptychodus its favorite chew toys (armor pieces) they have found it can be won over as opposed to the more violent method of tranqing. The key component of taming is the armors durability (what creature wants a weak chew toy) Tamed: Once won over by giving it its favorite chew toys this creature offers a unique property, the ability to act as not only an (all be it less efficient) industrial grinder, but also, a proficient gatherer and fighter. This creature has a 6th stat replacing the oxygen stat most aquatic creatures are missing in favor of a "grind" stat, this not only increases the speed it grinds down objects but also it allows it to harvest more of certain resources. Bonus resource table: Organic poly, chitin, keratin, boss drops, bio toxin, oil, and metal. (However this creature does NOT gain a weight reduction for any of these, meaning a dunkleosteis is recommended to bring along.) MISC: Ptychodus is immune to the effects of cnidaria but still takes damage from them and electrophorus. Their stats are comparable to a basilo with slightly less focus on health and more on damage. They are breedable and clonable. -

Badboydes posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Luminaris is an creature that thrives in the otherworldly environment of the ARK Aberration map [Blue Zone]. It possesses a mesmerizing, bioluminescent glow that emanates from its sleek, aquatic / lizard body. Movement: Luminaris can crawl up and down like a megaliana and jump / glide like maewing gracefully through the subterranean caverns, its elegant tail leaving trails of shimmering light in its wake is also usefull for swimming make it pretty versitile. credits to Val for helping =} Main Skills: Attack 1: Bite R2 Attack 2: Tail whip or Tail spin. can be used underwater and stuns like a bary. L2 aura Infusion R3 button Luminaris possesses a unique resource gathering buff called Aura Infusion. By utilizing its connection to the bioluminescent energy found abundantly in the Aberration map, Luminaris can increase the gathering of resources. When activated, Luminaris channels its aura into nearby recource nodes like metal nodes / crystal nodes / gem nodes enhancing their quality making them take longer to break and increasing the amount u farm. Bioluminescent Aura [passive] Light Source: Luminaris provides a radiation-neutralizing light, illuminating dark areas, making it easier for survivors to navigate the treacherous underground terrain. Aura Shield Luminaris creates a radiant field of energy around itself as a shield once below 20% health, the shield will detonate making enamies in the surrounding area temp blind and stunned for 10 seconds. Pack bonus: If Luminaris is companied by another of its species, it gains a small health regen buff. Basic statistics Health: 650 Stamina: 500 Oxygen: 750 Food: 1000 Weight: 600 Melee damage: 100% Movement speed: 100% Torpor: 850 Taming method: Bioluminescent Bonding Introduction: To tame this fascinating creature, a unique taming method called "Bioluminescent Bonding" has been discovered. This method requires patience, stealth, and a deep understanding of this creature. Requirements: To embark on this taming journey, you'll need the following: Ghillie Suit: This specialized suit helps you blend in with the surroundings and reduces the chance of alerting Luminaris to your presence, once spooked it will attack. Charge Lantern: This lantern emits a soft, calming light that will attract Luminaris and create a bond between you and the creature. When the bond is complete u will be able to start passive taming using a diffrent variety of edibles. [the better the charge lantern the faster the bonding goes / higher taming efficiency] Taming Pen: Construct a small, enclosed area using either metal or tek to protect from the wild dangers.-
