    Both the artwork and the abilities absolutely sing on this, I think it would be favored by many who prefer creatures that aren't used up and tossed aside for sure as these would be an essential part of our playthroughs. ❤️

    I really do love this guy and I would love to see different variants of them ingame! I wanted to throw an alternative taming suggestion out there, similar to what crabs do Crabs will, when turned over, be hypnotized, they go into a sleep state so I was wondering if an alternative taming method could be the lobster could either be shoved and could tip over, and when tipped over you get a certain amount of time to feed it before it goes concious again, and if it catches you as it's turning back over, well you'd be in for a world of hurt! This might be worse but I just wanted to throw that out there! ❤️

    So so happy that this one has come as far as it has, such a terrific idea for a creature and I'm loving the different depictions of this creature, yet another I did not know even existed in our world at one point. ❤️

    This one is right in the top of the suggestions on it! I think it'd be totally fair as we would finally have free grapples and it'd make getting around Aberration a blast for sure ❤️

    THIS! this is why I slapped the zipline icon onto the dossier! I also added webbing coming from their rears too in the artwork with the display because even during mating displays they always gotta be safe incase they need to get away quickly on their web! Temporary would be more than fair even, or if it had a cooldown of some sort, plus this one could make dealing with loot crates rather fun as well as they are so high up!

    Thank you! I will say that this spider could climb vertically where others cannot. It has webs, zip-line making capability, net projectile capability, and was an intended tamer, which people could make breeding lines of and specialize it for! Ark is in dire need of a really good taming helper, these guys jump so fast / lock on so quickly that they could latch onto a managarmr mid jump, the traits do matter actually, because some of them do get implimented sometimes, but not to the extent of relying on it for sure! The thing with smaller creatures is, it's a mind-set, particular people will enjoy their breeding lines of rexes, gigas and rockdrakes, where they will use whatever else and leave it to rot, meanwhile there are plenty of other people who play this game that actually adore breeding the unfavored creatures and the smaller ones, and this alone cannot be dismissed. It's completely fair to dislike it but please try to consider that some abilities do make it to the game, and to dismiss them is an unfair judgement overall ❤️ I was relying in heart of this idea so that it would not crush the potential Araneos have, the potential TLC which could make Araneos absolutely terrifying, use their webs to kill while the Jumping spider would rather have its webs as more of a utility means! I know that WC would pick and choose what's what, but I do truly hope they would stick with at least a bit of the direction it was intended for

    Beyond fair, you have to stick with yours! It really is silly that they relate ours just because it has extra legs and such, just because we have one of one certain type of creature doesn't necessarily mean that others shouldn't have the chance to be implemented as well, the voting event was never about 'we have 30 mammals, 30 insects, 29 birds so we need a bird not xxxxx, it's about what people love the most and want to see make it to the game!

    I feel that those with arachniphobia might be the only one thing truly keeping this from making it into Ark if it doesn't and that alone is totally understandable since spiders and snakes have the worst reputations on earth. Far too many have told me it belongs on Aberration specifically, it feels like it's the one best chance that it has I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to check out the concept despite your fear! It does mean a lot, and I know those with the phobias cannot help it, maybe a costume of some type added later on in the game would however! ❤️ Fortunately there is no need for a mod as you can just disable them in your .ini settings and will have nothing to worry about! You can do this as well with the Araneos so you could go into the caves finally! You could even take and replace them with something harmless!

    Thanks for asking! I wanted those like you who stand with Maevia to know that you are free to post her any time forward past Aberration in the case that I don't, it has certainly been a bit of a toll on my mental health with all the stress and anxiety throughout the contests! I will have to wait and see, and if anyone wants to post it definitely feel free to for later maps ❤️Sadly I do not know what the future holds for me as I am in a very rough spot right now. I can only hope that the feel, ideas, and peoples suggestions are preserved in the post on later maps, as too many alterations can have a dramatically negative impact on maevia and it can ruin it, causing a divide within the community between those who love maevia, and we definitely don't want that!

    Unfortunately for them in their case, it's completely wasted time out of their lives, as all of these downvotes get entirely erased whenever the top 10 move over to the finals forum section, which I guess in a way is a bit of karma. Their downvotes thankfully have no actual effect on the post itself aside from allowing them to exert their pent up frustrations, and all the upvotes made by supporters allow the important comments to be seen instead on the front page here, regardless of how many downvotes there are! ❤️

    To say this must mean you weren't even there for the previous voting events because if you were you would know the sheer amount of votes some creatures had compared to others is nothing like this time around. 'Why we can't have nice things' might perhaps just be because there are those who will do anything they can to attack and show hate for what they don't like rather than consider that with the way Wildcard has altered how we can and can't vote with first rank, it has changed up the entire system to be more fair and just according to what people prefer. This isn't even including the cancelation process that could axe this spider out of the final 10 in a heartbeat. Please try and give it thought before jumping to hateful conclusions ❤️

    it has a very fair chance of losing with the way the voting system works, especially since it is on the top of the list and it may get hate currently I feel like at the least if this was that way and didn't become a shoulder pet, the chibi of it being able to sit on your shoulder would be absolutely the cutest thing! Or better yet the babies even, which could be utilized in the way that was asked!!!!

    Firstly, it's kinda messed up really to give me a negative reaction aka the facepalm you put on my post while asking for people including myself to not give you anything negative. Next, Wildcard is going to do what they want with it, the least you can do is say how you want it to be as a suggestion and they might read that and take it into consideration and they might even find it to be such a great idea that they do it instead, this is why I ask everyone for suggestions because I do not stand above the people who love maevia, I stand with them. Those of us who are here for a jumping spiders chance for being implemented into Ark all want the same thing, how they want it done however is not even something that I get to decide, all I can do is ask as suggestions on my post which I have listed multiple wonderful options from other people here. I did suggest the zip-line, it's on the dossier image itself hinting at the capabilities behind that, though these suggestions are so limited due to the chance they may never even make it. Even as the other suggestion others had made about having the male as a shoulder buddy which could provide the unlimited ammo for it and I did suggest with balance from beforehand when I was talking to other members who did want it as a shoulder buddy. Why can't it be a tamer? Why can't those be redesigned with a TLC to make them infinitely better, and why can't we have multiple tamers? Also, you did not read the dossier because it does not just utilize webs to be amazing, it can latch onto creatures mid-jump, making it an excellent and potential candidatate that could counter managarmrs and even aid with taming them! It was suggested that the venom could be used as baby food for rockdrakes, much like the nameless venom, and even as a substitute for it for a bit of balance. Spiders make webs, and webs have a tremendous number of ways these webs can be utilized to make a fun and immersive experience with the creatures we love that make them, why not incorporate fun things using them behind the idea, it's literally a spider after all. These guys are totally capable of way more than I could think of myself. The whole 'we already have this' was thrown out the door even for our most recent win, the giant oviraptor. We already had an oviraptor, we already have a salamander so why Koolasuchus, we already have scorpions so why bother with Yingi? We already have a frog so what's the point in the lamp frog? The point is, not all frogs, salamanders, scorpions, oviraptors, or anything else has to be the same, they can be entirely different. I know that when WC decides to spice up the poor araneos they are going to be amazing, if they are similar, it's not a bad thing ❤️

    No worries! These are only a collection of ideas, Wildcard gets to snip and pick any they might want for it in the end! They may only pick one out of the batch or even none and do their own thing with it!

    These are both great ideas! I did mention the zipline ability in the dossier just with a little picture though so it's not obvious at all (my apologies for this!), I will add the thick fur torpor resistance to the suggestions, thank you for putting your thoughts out here! ❤️
