Welcome to the club!BTW. Im still love Ark franchise, Im still play Ark, Im still believe WC is able to do great things. I just dont believe Snail games.. All started to get worse since they came. And they came (correct me if im wrong) after Extinction with Atlas. Wildcard Studios have true geniuses when it comes to game design but this artists deserve to have better management imho.

Weird think is that they are surprised that they have decreases when literally nothing has appeared in ARK in 2022. If you don't care about the playerbase, don't expect profits.

Lets hope Snail will sell the Ark franchise along with the great Studio Wildcard to another major company as part of cutting losses.

You're right, I don't know exact percentage of people playing with Epic Settings. However, I know that many players deliberately turn off the bells and whistles to Low Details to have a faster and more visible game (the vast majority of PVP players do this). It's just that for many players, the graphical change doesn't matter much.
The case of the mysterious DLC, which would be created this year, is different. I'd gladly spend a few bucks on that. However, I think that such a general statement is intended to confuse our minds. Just another unclear promise we should not trust.

Maybe developers can give us some option for example:
- create new official premium paid servers connected to free official cluster
- set up good affordable price for it - better than typical Nitrado, because of mass customers discount
- make premium paid server much more stable
- make special "exodus" engram - kind of transfer storage box with unlimited weight and storage space - that will help to carry stuff from free to paid servers in more convenient way that dumb transmitter transfers
- wipe out free servers whenever they want to
But it need some effort and to have good will.

Im still waiting for official statement if its April's Fool joke or not.. because Im confused if i should now wipe out my 2 bases and dinos and free ~400 GB disk store. Whats the difference between me doing it now or Dev wipe in August.

For me its clear that WC / Snail / Whatever Company is completly broken and we are now see disassembling of ARK. Yes its over, no one will wait FOREVER for Ark 2. And many, many big games are soon released. Its very sorry for best game ever - ARK Survival Evolved.
Best news could be to sell Ark franchise to some agile game company to continue this beautiful story. -
I've been peeking at every Community Crunch for last 2 years. Everything that is happening here is a big lie that something is being done, that they are adding something, that they are working on something. The truth is that even this news is simply pushing the inevitable - further waiting for postponed things.
Has this company ever kept its word? Did they do something on time? NO! They keep making promises all the time.
I envy fans of other games that their developers care about the players of their games.
In my opinion we will NOT have anything new this year.. We will receive month before deadline information that due to the desire to create a better game, we need to announce new release date ... In the meantime, we will be shown spiders, tigers and immortal crunch filler - fanart.

Ark 2 will be released when modern games will be made with Unreal 6 and ver.5 will be outdated technology.

If this is not an April 1st joke, then what I wished in the comment to the previous Community Crunch is being implemented. And I wished for a paid DLC based on Ark 1 with new dinos, engrams and new mechanics. As it was with Aberration, Extinction, or Genesis. I honestly more expect that kind of DLC over Ark 2.
Dreams come true. I'd love to buy this DLC.-

Honestly i could be more happy with new paid DLC map for ARk 1 than the whole Ark 2. I mean paid DLC with quality, quantity of new engrams/creatures/features like Aberration or Extinction.
I think theres more people like me, if not majority!

Player base and social involvement is a bit dead, because how to explain only a lively discussion between a complainer and addictive facepalmer on the official website, and there are no masses of people literally eager to discuss spectacular ARK news.
And if there was a new map for Ark 1.... then I wouldn't complain, you would have peace, people would liven up.

I got active game since 5 years. But i think its dying.
You should take care of your player base developing faster rk 2 or releasing new TLC and maps for Ark 1.
I dont whine, Im just worried of my favourite game. -
