  1. The baby Argentavis in the trailer come to mind for this suggestion. Docuseries showing the imagined lives of ancient creatures, pteradons taking their frist risky flights from their clifftop nests. This isn't a new suggestion, but a rather proposed method of implementation. Instead of spawning the parent and randomly spawning babies for the flyers, instead randomly spawn nests in preset locations. Kind of like Beaver dams. Then have the "parent(s)" spawn and be set to either remain near the nest or periodically return to the nest. The nest can have an inventory of nesting materials and keratin (suggesting perhaps broken eggs or a non-surviving brood). The nest can randomly have eggs that can be stolen or babies that are nest-bound unless tamed (which would otherwise work like the other wild babies ingame). The nests would be challenging to get to, atop cliffs and giant trees amd mountains. Maybe hidden away in seaside caves or little nooks. It would be a fun little side hunt, and just a bit more atmosphere. I'm not experienced on all the coding in this game. I don't know if the wild parents and babies could be setup with a unique class to give the custom AI for this, and then they would tame to the normal tamed class versions. That is what I'm imagining with this suggestion though...
  2. I think instead of bringing back the old system, sprucing up the new system with more pieces/options would maybe be better. The wiring and piping was not ideal, and if aesthetics from that are something people miss then mods could likely add the look back. I don't know all the logistics, and this is just my personal opinion on this! For the plumbing, having a ground water "well cap" or "pump" available as a smaller aesthetic option to extend water supply systems would be nice. Instead of collecting rainwater it would tap into groundwater, giving intake water access anywhere on land also. Perhaps with a level & power requirement for balance. I've had wells in real life so this just makes sense to me. The above ground cap part is pretty small. Sorry for lack of accurate terminology. For the electricity, perhaps some sort of transformers could be added to extend the range. Larger pylons for larger radius and smaller ground extenders for smaller extensions perhaps. Just no sparky effects, a simple green/yellow light indicating it is powered would be much better (in my opinion anyway).
  3. A suggested method to achieve this is having an optional ingame login to an "Ark" account. Similar to the system/method used by many gaames. The login would then link to the character on the server and as long as you login on whatever platform you would be linked to your character (on servers only). For security it would be better to require account linking so it only works if you login with a linked system account. That way 2FA can be active for the "Ark" account and will keep outside players from using others accounts. Could also link survivetheark account to it as well
  4. Apparently if you hold A and press RT it transfers the stack.
  5. Apparently you can hold A and press RT to transfer between inventories.
  6. Hello! I have been playing Ark for a long time, across various platforms. With the launch of ASA and crossplay support, I am looki g forward to the ability to continue playing how and where I choose. My suggestion is to have some way to link your player accounts (at least the IDs) from Steam and Xbox/Windows. This way if you are playing on a cross-platform server you can freely play from whichever platform you wish and switch between them as desired. While maintaining a single character, of course. So not necessarily a way to transfer saves across platforms, as the player is saved to the server itself... A way to link to your existing player login info from another platform. If that makes sense. Not so much cross-save as cross-login I guess? This would hopefully be useful for some people. In my case, personally, I have a lot of health issues, and while I prefer playing on PC/Steam, it is often easier for me to play on console. The ability to maintain the same character regardless of being able to sit at the computer or having to be somewhere more comfortable would be amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! Have a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful holiday! EDIT: I wanted to clarify my main and only really worthwhile suggestion. I had a couple other suggestions that were either redundant or just really not important.
