  1. titanoboas should get a whole new tlc They are way to small in ark.. and their abilities and animations.. yeah.... they could to so mch better now I would like to see a REAL titanoboa. One that can wrap itself around its victims, that can "curl up", pose threateningly or something similar... that would also be a hot candidate for a Tranq Overhaul Dilos, scorpions, titanoboas, maybe the spiders... megalanias... all could be made into passive poison producing creatures, where you could then build your tranq arrows from. different poison strengths for different hard to reach creatures... It's such a shame that you only have the narcoberries and then the jellyfish afterwards... and the jellyfish are practically non-existent <.< without the Glaucus mod we wouldn't find any on my server. A sandviper skin for scorched would also work so well with the snake! The insects also need a TLC... actually almost every not yet TLC dino from the basegame... There are so many cool creature submissions with spiders and similar creatures... if you don't want to do anything completely new, you could get soooo much inspiration...
  2. Would love to see some more informations in the Community Crunches.... like the A&Qs back in the days Like: Did we get new TLCs in the future? Did the Scorched Earth map specific dinos any new abilities? perhaps little sneak peaks from center and scorched or stuff you did this in the first months of ASE.. little dossier sneak peaks and stuff... this was great. of course its time taking to rebuild 2 whole maps from ground up and making 3 new creatures (or even more).. for me its okay that around 40 people cant do all that stuff beside bug fixing the main game. But those little chunks of meat gives a warmer feeling for us what we can expect in the future and die crunch doesnt feel this empty
  3. ASA has the potential to become really good, but ASA content is currently lacking. existing content from ASE and, above all, new content. FREE new content. MORE content than just 1 new dino per map! So Wildcard... PLS do the right thing and add more new stuff the map, so there is more reason to play ASA in this early stage The Map The first DLC map. The First Map we got with a very special new challenge, survival in a desert. Scorched Earth was new, was harder and quickly felt the same every time because its a sandy place which looks quite the same over the whole map. Now you have the chance to create a stunning new enviroment. ASE Scorched have different biomes, but I didnt felt this way because everything looks the same. We have the dunes. the late game sandy graveyard. The biome which Fasolasuchus will live. The dunes was nearly perfect in ASE and very outstanding from the rest of the map. Only the citie there could need a touch. We have the Canyons... which need to get way more love! in ASE they were not really noticeable and were merely a difference in height Pls make them as outstanding as they are in RL... different rock patterns, echos, falling rocks, an oppressive feeling and the feeling of being tiny... THATS Canyons. We have the Mountains.. in ASE they always felt a bit out of place. they had a completely different texture that didn't match the rest of the map at all. If we look at the rocks and mountains on Island, I think we can expect a lot more. Mountains which will fit in the world! We have Oasis... The elixir of life for all players on the map. The special ability helper for Morellatops. One if the most dangerous places on the Map But outstanding? not really. They dont have any outstanding flora there and dont feel that special as they should. they should be the place where life flourishes. where you feel relief, where you can see from afar "this is not the desert, this is LIFE" But the Flora is spreading on the whole map... plenty of trees and stuff are everywhere.. so Oasis arent anything special, beside the water... We have the low and high desert.. which both arent really deserts.. there are plenty of green trees, bushes and even flowers. More bushland than desert. Thats kind of okay, cause I know there are deserts which looks like this... But survival is pretty easy than and it feels to much green flora for a desert map. There are some unique places.. a masive skelleton, sharp rock formations and the high desert even has two forests! An arid place with dead trees, dry bushes and plenty of sand, rocks and death would feel much nicer. and its something new! Instead of 80% green places there culd be more smaller oasis with green trees and stuff. A place where its hard to survive even without the different storms! We have the Badlands.. the place where the big bois live. where danger is right behind you.. The rock formations are a amazing idea and they are some of the few outstanding things on the map... A more special look of those formations would be awesome.. like the picture below And the last biome.. the Caves... this caves are AMAZING. For me the most beautiful caves on all maps!.. the fallen cities, the egyptian-inspired things.. lovely! Add more of this pls!!! More buildable caves with things like this. Buildable like Fjodur buildable, so we can place stuff inside this buildings without having our own foundations ❤️ these things would mean that the map would differ significantly from the ASE varante, the different biomes would stand out much more and the map would not become monotonous so quickly. The Weather I love the SE weather.. heatwaves, sandstorms... i wish they were more deadly and that there were more ways to avoid them in the lategame The Items we got some amazing new items to survive there... The Tent, to wait until sandstorms or heatwaves are over. A water well, the boomerang or the wind turbine.. But we have plenty of items, which we dont really need and should be in the basegame, instead of being map specific engrams.. a mirror, a chainsaw (should be a lategame method to harvest wood) .. Instead of this more map specific stuff would be great.. amored desert cloths for late game for example. The Dinos something i already found sad in ASE was that 90% of the time we only have the normal ark dinos on the maps... and of course the dlc creatures themselves. one idea for the paid DLC would have been to give these normal ark dinos a replacement. Similar to the ARCaeology skins for pachy, bronto and trike... just not skins, but creature replacements. Instead of an Anky, for example, a Tarchia. Instead of a Sabertooth a Smilodon. The abilities remain the same, but you just have something different on the maps and not always the same creatures. This as free content would be also great.. and its a fast way to give players something new and a different look Ankylosaurus - Tarchia Argentavis - Haast Eagle Hyaenodon - Dinocrocuta (could be a larger ridable verson) Megatherium -Nothrotheriops Direwolf - a desert version Rex - Tarborex Sabertooth - Cave Lion Doedi - Panochthus And so on And you could give the unique SE creatures a little touch up and TLC to their abilities. Jerboa - Could dig for meat, seeds, other consumeables like insects or even ressources. Would help beginners to dont starve so quickly. - Could sniff for water and mark water springs or oasis on the map.. or yould dig water out if the sand (like you do in Atlas) so you can get a little bit of water.. around 10 perhaps. - Could have burrows there player could find their younsters to tame, berries and other ressources like thatch, fiber or wood. together with a more arid enviroment this would help a lot without being useless or OP Vulture Pls make the inventory accessable like every other creatures and whistable to attack targets! - Could spoil meet faster, which would be a great addition for early and mid game. - could have a dead tree as a spawn (like the confuciosornis mod in ASE) where the whole gang chill and looking for food... and having their nests there - could have a corpes as a spawn with a cicle fly animation... could work as a way to get spoiled meat faster.. like the dead creatures at ragnarok beaches. making the vulture more useful against players and creatures and a faster(easier way to get spoiled meat and even to gather eggs faster. Jug Bugs they alrady useful for water, but you could make them way more interessting - make them tameable, give them different colour regions. - could passivly produke water or oil and could be "mliked" every now and then. - could come in diffeente sizes. bigger ones holds more water/oil.. smaller ones could be shoulder mounts Lymanria I never got why I should tame one in PvE.. they cant grab anything, they arent that fast and they cant fight... - could passivly generate "moth dust" in its inventory or players could geather it from tamed ones.. works as silk. - needs to have the ability to gather its foodsource! - could have thermo vision like snow owl - could be a passive air fresher... tell it to flap wings (cant move and attack than) and making the air around it a little bit colder.. could be helpful to incubate eggs. Morellatops its a quite nice mount for beginners until lategame. - could irrigate crops - should be immune to sandstorms as a desert creature Mantis - breedable - should be able to jump normaly - should have weight reduction on certain ressources cause its a havrester mount Thorny Dragons - spines from the spine attack should scale with meele and should have a crosshair to aim - should get less dmg at from everything attacking its armored back. Bleeding attack should cause no bleed than. - some ability to curl up like a doedi to get more ressistance against attacks or become invisible (dont draw any aggro) from wild aggressive dinos Deathworms Should be DEATH. But was weak "have to kill it for trophys" creatures in ASE. - WAY stronger - could have babies or different sizes.. babies are aggressiv too, could grab unmounted player under the sand and "drown" them. - Bigger sizes could to this with matching dinos too. - could be attracted with explosives and other loud sounds like war drums... or steps from larger dinos like gigas and carchas. - could drop bio toxin as there are no jellyfishs on the map Rock Elemental - should have weight reduction on certain ressources as they harvest from rocks and stuff - should get FULL dmg from doedis.. of course - could have a special C attack to harvest stones, crystals and stuff like this - should be immun to all elemental effects BESIDE fire and water.. could change between varaints in the future - But should take NORMAL Dmg from wyver breaths as the lore says. - should have no Oxygen stat. Phoenix - should be much stronger, as its very hard to tame and whould worth it. - give it the ability to land!! - weight reduction for certain ressources as it can harvest much of those things. - more accurate aiming for attacks - heater for eggs to incubate Just ideas of course Would make some of this creature more worth it to tame at least in PvE or in general. and provides some new things for players. I really hope this map which all its items and creatures will get the love it deserves and which ASA needs to show people, that its worth to buy it

    it nurses the two dinos in the bags.. or.. they draw food out of the gigantoraptors inventory if there is fitting food. but I would prefer a general nursing ability too
  5. In ASE we have a leak between metal tier and tek tier and some stuff who shuld be in the basgame, are in DLCs.. So you have some kind of weird progression SO here a few things I would like to see in some ways, to get a more smooth gameplay experience while progessing Taming Helper - Removed the Taming Helper from the Menue and added it to the new "Taming Observation Tablet" - added the "vital bracelet" and "Obersavtion Tablet" learnable with lvl 50. The vital bracelet is only equipable for unconcious dinos in the Saddle Slot! While taming, the bracelet will send datas to you Observation tablet about Hearthbeat (how long until waking up) and serotonin content in the blood (taming progress) After a creature is tamed, the bracelet will lose contact and mostly get lost in the nature. - added the "Tek Obersersavtion Tablet" and the "tek vital and protection bracelet". learnable after killing the spider at gamma. Its quite the same like the non-tek ones, but the Tek bracelet make a noise which causes TAMED and WILD to avoid getting near to it. Keeping your tame save! Tools and Armor - added a new sickle to the Stone-tier "bone sickle" - added Chainsaw and Mining Drill to the Metal-tier Egrams from TheIsland and removed them from DLCs - added the "TEK Omnitool" which provides a holographic tool for every situation (a chainsaw and mining drill, a skinning knife and other stuff), chooseable via action wheel - added Tek Glider -> provides more controle as the normal glider and have a little booster for longer gliding sessions - added new modes to the tek gauntles and tek boots -> the climbing mode! with little claws and ice pickles you can run up every cliff! is faster than the jet pack. - added Binoculars to metal tier set. Provides a better view than the spyglass and also launch some more informations (like awesome spyglass) to you. - added Tek Binoculars they are the same like the non-tek ones but with the tek Binoculars you can tag up to 5 creatures and get a ping on the map until they die, untagged or falling unconcious - changed the whole clothing system, to make it more interesting on map with only one biome - removed all armor sets except fur armor, ghillie, chitin and desert. - added a primitive fur throw to the early game. has the apperance of the killed animal and is equipable in the shield slot, to provide some extra isulation. - added a sheep whool stuffed metal armor to the metal-tier which is way better than the fur armor - added light silk armor to early game. a early game armor to provide some heat protection. - added fivermesh armor. provides a nice high armor stat with a light and airy mesh - changed cloth armor to leaf armor - re-added cloth armor to stone-tier with a better protection and look - changed the name from hide armor to leather armor - added the studded leather armor to the early metal-tier - added the metal armor (way heavier than flak) to the metal-tier - added the mesh armor to the late metal-tier - added fish-scale armor! the whole set let you recover stam while swimming and consume less air while diving - added a seaglider to the metal-tier - added tek suite upgrade for diving (expand some fins to get way faster underwater!) Illness - added food poisoning chance to raw meat and berries. aswell as a very high chance to spoiled meat. Drains your health and stamina, increase torpor! - added "overeaten" effect if eating while full food stat. Decrease your food- and waterstat, slows down movement! - added "vomit" after eating while under the "overeaten" debuff. drains food to 0, drains water extremly for the next 60 seconds. vomit can apear the next 3 minutes which stops movement while vomiting and attract some dangerous dinos to you! - added "soaked" to most armors after getting in touch with water. had a chance to evolve to a cold and lowers your hypothermic isolation - added "cold" can appear after getting soaked or freeze. increase torpor, blur you view and can infect other players AND some dinos. Can also attract aggressive dinos to you after sneezing Cooking - added fat! harvestable from phiomias, daeodons, diplos and other fat creatures. - added a few new crops (all mushrooms, rare mushroom and flower, pumpkin, beans, grain and some other stuff) - female mammals are milkable now. - added "meat with berry porridge". which can be crafted with every berry and meat (gives torpor or stam drain with narco/stam berry and more food with cooked prime and mutton). Provides some water and full your stomache. Also provide a little healing boost (non-stackable, only with hungeer not fully full!) - overhauled the cooking pot. doesnt consume a whole water storage anymore. milk also works as water. - ALL crafting recepies for buff food are now available in the cooking pot (like S+) - added more variance to raw food to provite more options for recepies. So you now wich item adds what. for example 10 berries gives +20 water to a recipe. 5 Cooked meat 50 food. Honey 20 sec better health reg. and so one. - added a dinosaur version for most of the buff food, cause whos fighting alone?!
  6. I think AB doesnt need really a new creature and definitely not a water dino! So I think about my favourite mod in ARK Survival Evolved: The Confuciosornis. As we have just the Maewing for babycare, this could be a nice early addition. Dossier: This little birds live in flocks near the lakes ob Aberration and build their nests on small trees or cliffs. They dont seems to be aggressive unless you touch their nests or attack them first. They are omnivore, eating plant seed and fish. As to little to ride them and to weak for combat, Confuciosornis is a favourite tame for all survivor because of special preference for eggs! You can find eggs from surrounding creatures in their nests. Confuciosornis seems to be the perfect baby carer cause they collect fertilized eggs, hatch them and take care of the babies. But they will give everything for the babies, so take a good look onto your birdo! Taming: Drop a fertilized egg on the ground, if a Confuciosornis sitting in a nest. It will collect this egg and start to hatch it. Now you have to find your way in the nest, feeding it Plant Species Z seeds. Its the only thing wild ones take. Taming effectiveness determined by egg size. Rock drake eggs are the best (if basilisks are breedable in ASA they are better than Rockdrake eggs). After taming they also eat fishmeat. Tamed: Confuciosornis is a shoulderpet, but the best use is in your base as a nanny. You can build a nest in their inventory. Once placed, they can collect eggs, fertilizes and unfertilized ones. They can hatch eggs in their nest (if a cinfuciosornis hatch a egg, he will sitting on this egg in this nest and will not do anything else until the egg is hatched!), they can claim babies, gives them food and imprint them. Everything toogleable on the actionwheel. You can also take them with you and let them locate eggs for you! They even can launched to collect them and return them to you, like oviraptors. But be careful, this birds give everything for the babies, as they take care of babies or hatching eggs, their foodstat drains very quickly!
  7. that would be great. they added the heatwave, thunderstorm and sandsturm to Scorched and the earth quake to aberration.. I think the last think was in Genesis1 a snow avalanche It would be awesome to see more weather and effects on players/dinos in ASA Rain soake players so they could get ill for example.... a storm could cause power outages.. a heavy stormstorm could appear where you barely cant see anything and get a intense could without advanced fur armor.. they would have so many possibilities to increase the survival feeling with that, could make a way for more special dino abilities, more ways to get sick and cure (we just only have rabbis and swamp feaver ingame )
  8. why you dont wait until ASA is out? Buy him an 8 year old game who shut down in a few months doesnt worth it if you wanna play ASE, look onto a keyseller side like keysforsteam 15 bucks and you can write the key on a giftcard or something
  9. Most ASE dinos are useless and exspecially older dinos dont have really useful abilities at all.... With ASA there are so many ways to overhaul this... here some examples for new abilities for creatures: Vanilla Ankylosaurus: - Tail swing attack deals normal dmg to rock golems - tail attack dont gather berries anymore, just with its bite - auto gather on wander until 80% weight - weight reduction for metal, obsidian, crystalls, all kind of gems - returns 15% dmg to damage causer (spikey!) Achatina - breedable - eat berries if tamed Anglerfish - attracts fish with his "lamp" and can insta kill them - with UE5 now a very helpful light source and the only tameable one (atm) until late game Archaeopteryx - now sits on shoulder like sinomacorps - wild archaes now sitting in smaller Redwood or Yoshuatrees instead of running on the ground or flying at a tree all the time. to move they sail with their wings to other near trees - taming reworked -> drop chitin on the ground to attrac one, insta tame after it eats one. - can auto scare small critters like pegos and Ichtys (like sinoma but only small critters) Araneo - C -shoot webs who acts like bolas - crtl - creates a web on the ground which slow down creatures and as longer stay stay in, the slower they get until they fully webbed (like rygnios resin) - x - perform a taunt with frontlegs - passive produce silk - able to climb walls and ceiling Argentavis - now neutral to other dinos until attacked (like the dossier say) - only found at mountains top or middle mountain reagion, sitting in their nest or on rocks, looking for death corpses. - wide attractive range to death bodies. They carries corpses to their nest to eat them - able to dive like snow owl but with a higher stamina drain while diving. - can to a dive bomb to deal increased dmg to enemies - can walk backwards Baryonyx - now have a 5sec cooldown on their stun attack, even unridden and wild ones! (no more stunlock!) - heal quiker with fish meat (which should be, but seems to be buggy?) - now have a "SEEK fish at low health" toggle to get more use of their quiker healing from fish meat - insta kill fish Cnidaria - massive reduced aggro range - can me "tamed" with special ocean fish baskets - tamed Cnidarias breed via Budding and can be killed for their biotoxin. But they dont hear to any wistle. They are aggressive to other fish and wandering around, so keep them serperatet in a pen Beezlebufo - can attack while jumping/falling - able to pitch up and down while swimming - can do a better jump like procoptodon - can harvest cementing paste from ALL chitin creatures, even scorpions - take no longer fall dmg - can grab player and smaller creatures with its tongue which slowly increase torpor but dont deal dmg Brontosaur - can now run instead of just faster walking (only without platform saddle) - can do 4 different stomp attack equal to the way you look. right stomp looking right forword, right backstomp looking right backward and left side also (this is now the right button attack) - high knockback - now have a heavy foot stomp with left click which causes bronto to stay up on hindlegs and crash down with frontlegs (only without plattform saddle) - high knockback and dmg but cooldown - C is the tail swing which geathers berries and dmg critters behind - high knockback - x is a ally call which buffs other greater herbivores and let them attack the enemie. - immune to any kind of knockback - can turn in place (but slowly) - way higher healthpool and weight Carbonemys - can hide in its shell (like doedicurus) to take massive reduced dmg - faster swimmpeed and better turning radius in water - can turn in place Carnotaurus - new foodstep sounds - has a rhino style charge with bleedingbuff - gets faster while sprinting like direbear - dont draw aggrssion from smaller carnivores - left blick bite - right click headbutt - C charging (cann load up while standing or directly use while running) - X tail swing Compys - passive tames instead of KO tames (drop prime meat), chompys will fight for it until only the strongest is left. - Tames shouldered and wild compies can do a scream with alerts other compys and they will run through the call to assist (summons compys which run away after a certain time) Dilophosaurus - different sizes - Sexual dimorphism - females have way smaller frills, males frills are bright and colorful - turret ability to shoot/scare other small agressive dinos - frillscare to scare away raptors, other dilos under own size, and smaller critters like pegos or Ichtyhornis - able to "milk" for dilovenom (a new narcotic between narcoberries and normal narcotic) Dimetrodon (I would replaced them with arizonasaurus to be more usefull) - can toggle overheat which buffs other scalie creatures - can be passive tamed to be an early game warm upper Diplodocus (only tamed ones) - left blick - bite - right click push - c tail slap - X "roar" to be more useful than just would transport 10 players Dimorphodon reworked attacking - now dive down to bite enemies and fly back up to to this again instead of flying above enemies - can be always found in swarms - can be passive tamed because unless provoces its neutral/friendly towards humans Diplocaulus - can be ridden on land - can be set on auto harvest which let them insta kill trilobites (only aggressive to them!) - can be tamed via dropping a special bite on th ground so it matched more the role a early game dive possibility Direwolf - can equip a leather armor to increase armor/instead having a natural armor like shadowmanes - wild direwolves only howls if they attack first. otherwise they directly attack back/ just the alpha howls Doedicurus - C - bite attack to harvest berries - auto gather until 80% of weight - rolls down hills fasterroll faster Dung Beatle - auto collect poop while wandering Dunkleosteus - 60% weight reduction on pearls, metal, stone, oil, obsi and crystal Gallimimus - new taming method -> catch it with a lasso until its to weak to fight back, than passive feed it - flocking ability for faster movementspeed - only spawns in groups - flee it it spots near carnivores Giant Bee - Beekeeper armor is back! - drones now fly around the beehive and attack eversthing near it Hesperornis - reworked taming to be an easier tame for early game - dont drop organic polymer anymore - cooking unfertilized eggs gives oil still but fertilized hersperornis eggs gives you organic polymer instead (getting cooked after this) - can be used to catch fish for fish meat more improves (like ichtyhornis) - their eggs CANT be eaten or used for recepies, they are toxic for humans - can still drop golden egg Ichthyornis - stolen weopns and stuff now shimmers if falling on the ground, so you can locate it way easier - flee after getting damaged - ONLY attacks if players wear something made out of metal - can be "milked" for their salvia to make dino healing portions out of it Liopleurodon - is a permanent tame now - can reverse and strafe - left blick is a bite which deals also bleeding dmg - right click will launch it forward and performing a strong bite - C can grab other creatures - riders consume less oxygen - can heal like daeodon underwater Manta (now Manta birostris to fit a specific animal instead of just a whole animal class) - is now a Planktivore to fit the creature and dossier better. Cant eat meat anymore. - resized and way bigger now - solitary now and swims near the surface in the ocean - instead of territorial now skittish and flee if attacked or near humans/predators - doesnt need a saddle anymore to ride and you can hold on to wild mantas if you can catch them (cant control wild mantas!) - you can craft a more suit like saddle for protection and aerodynamic to move faster in water. - passiv tame with a Plancton bite (new ressource) Mesopithecus - now like in groups on trees - territorial in groups - they throw poop if you get to near - still passiv and skittish alone - group spread if attacked - can spot humans and other enemies like parasaur Megalania - can be "milked" for a strong pison which can put on arrowtips and meele weapons - inflicts a new sort of illness - dont attracs aggro from smaller and other medium carnivores Megaloceros - new model for female - female megaloceros can be milked - male inflicts bleed dmg to all creatures with antler hit - C click is a grazing animations with harvest berries and fiber - male megaloceros can gather thatch from trees - female megaloceros run faster Megalodon - always on groups up to 5 - NEUTRAL unless you have any kind of bleeding bug, not full health or any kind of illness. - attract from corpses over a huge distance - getting a feeding frenzie after killing large creatures or some smaller creatures in a row - feeding frenzie makes all meglos aggressive for the time. roaming around in caves at night to eat moss and mushrooms - tamed Onyc having a echolot which spots enemies like parasur, 3x radius at nighttime - Onyc can grab smaller enemies and players, lift them up in the air (drains a lot of stamina) and let them fall - can suck bood out of corpses for faster healing and blood packs Oviraptor - gather fertilized and normal eggs while on wander (can toogle to only gather normal/fert. or both) - player can craft a nest where oviraptor store those eggs - eggs slowls uncubating inside of these nests Ovis: - milkable - C - grazing animation which harvest bushes - male can perform a ramm attack which stuns smaller enemies Pachycephalosaurus - can harvest stone, flint and metal (not as good as anky) and has 30% weight reduction of those items - can charge like trike and deal a good amount of torpor and a high knokcback Pachyrhinosaurus - can toogle between more different pheromons (food drain, XP boost and the normales ones - can gather wood with a 20% weight reduction Pegomastax - wild pegos only steal food Pelagornis - can walk backwards - able to dive into the water for a short amount of time - can insta kill fish - able to sail above the ocean which increase flying speed and reduce stamino consume Plesiosaur - ASE is awesome, but we still have some real annoying bugs and fails there, that needs to be fixed in ASA - range weapon reloading - Spawners (for example on Aberration) - cave creatures spawned/stucked in walls - walling through the world if using ghost command and than walk command - some cave drops (for example on scorched earth) which spawns behind a alpha wall - stucked baby dinos in their moms or structures - singleplayer (to much stuff to count) - joining servers, exspecially with many mods - remake dossiers to fit the current creatures abilities more - water creatures dont kill themselves anymore by beaching Some improvements for ASA: Housing/Crafting - adjust crafting materials need of BPs to what we can put at maximum in a workbench - make housing structures look "endless" ---> you can see every tile for its own. every ceiling, every wall, every foundation. It woudl be great to have no gabs between them - gables for each housing tier - more meele weapons - more different structures and weapons from primitive until TEK.. primitive fridge (hole in the sand/earth with leaves on it), tek fridge. a wether warning tag for scorched arth and stuff like this Cooking and Farming - a new cooking system with way more cookable stuff... different meat, berries, mushrooms and crops with unique uses.... Per recipes or free cooking - recepies -> like now fix recepies and way more than now, so we have more use and ealy game use for this. Costums recipies can use the free cooking way - free cooking -> each cooking item has a different value for different stats.. berries give more water, stimberries recover stamina, meat give more health back and so on. So we doesnt only use cooked meat every time and creature more bufffood - wild crops to harvest and getting seeds for With this change people are "forced" to tame different creatures and plant different crops for ingrediens and some creatures would get a new use. Also we could craft dinofood (buff and healing) and it opens the way for a massive taming improvement. Dinos - New Ressources for dinos to harvest. Like Dilo venom as weaker early game narcotic, scorpionvenom as mid tier narcotic and titanoboavenom as a stronger late game narcotic. - megalania poison and Onyx saliva to put on meele weapons or arrows to cause poison dmg and troodon venom for a engame stronger venom - Kentro spikes, megaloceros antler, trike horns, rhino horns, therizino claws and other stuff like this to create new weapons out of it - give creatures more idle animations in the wild which matches with certain enviroments and needs.. drinking out of rivers and other water sources near by, eating corpses or bushes with a eating animation, cuddle their babies or pack/herd members, protect babies and laying on nests.. scratching animation and stuff like this - sit/lay down ability for every dino - make them able to drag corpses (like the rex top in the TLC spotlight) - New abilities for dinos, cause most are useless in PvE and PvP. most poeple dont use early game tames cause you can lvl up a character quite fast.. for example: Dilophosaurus - different sizes - turret ability to shoot/scare other small agressive dinos - frillscare to scare away raptors, other dilos under own size, and smaller critters like pegos ir ithys - able to "milk" for dilovenom Hesperornis - reworked taming to be an easier tame for early game - dont drop organic polymer anymore - cooking unfertilized eggs gives oil still but fertilized hersperornis eggs gives you organic polymer instead (getting cooked after this) - can be used to catch fish for fish meat more improves (like ichtyhornis) - their eggs CANT be eaten or used for recepies, they are toxic for humans Manta (now Manta birostris to fit a specific animal instead of just a whole animal class) - is now a Planktivore to fit the creature and dossier better. Cant eat meat anymore. - resized and way bigger now - solitary now and swims near the surface in the ocean - instead of territorial now skittish and flee if attacked or near humans/predators - doesnt need a saddle anymore to ride and you can hold on to wild mantas if you can catch them (cant control wild mantas!) - you can craft a more suit like saddle for protection and aerodynamic to move faster in water. - passiv tame with a Plancton bite (new ressource) Maps - Overhauling oceans at older maps to make them look better and no more so empty. place new ressources in it to give players more reason to dive and tame water creatures. Like place element ores in TheIslands deep ocean to give a little bit better access to element. - place more harvestable ressources like wild crops to get crops and cropseeds for farming, rare flowers and mushrooms and stuff - place more DLC related plants and stuff onto other maps like laines and stuff General - More Skins.. At the beginning of ARK we got some really nice skins. The Scorched Earth Manticore skin stuff, the ABerration skins, some saddle skins. But than, nothing.... Just 3, 4 new skins (beside events)... I would love to see way more different saddle skins, different skins for tools everyone use like hatchet, sword, firearm... Map specific ones like a - add some fitting mods through the game like you do with modmaps... for example Prehistoric Beasts or ARK Additions.. Crysta give rare and not often seen dinos a stage like Postosuchus or Dearc. Together with balanced abilities and awesome taming methods... Garuga make stunning unique dinos too. With this you dont have to creature dinos all for your own and just need to improve some textures or small things to add them to the game. Also you would be able to give us way more map specific dinos... for Example Paleo ARKs Tarbosaurus for Scorched Earth instead of the normal Rex or Dearc as a Scorched Earth flyer instead of pteras. - more reallife friendly serversettings so people dont have to spend days to raise babies.. or the option to let a dinos make this - more balanced progression.. as I said, lvl up a character isnt hard... with things like foundations or cooking pot you get so much EXP, that you dant have to rumble with starter items and dinos... A way slower progression would be great and would give items and some creatures their use back. - reworkd supply drops.. Scorched Earth for exmaple has terrible Containers... they give you stuff like spino saddles without any spino spawn on this map
  11. Tired of taming a Rex for bossfights over and over again? Try Daspletosaurus! Dossier: Daspletosaurus inhabits the hottest ecosystem of Ragnarok: the desert. With their feathered bodies heat doesn´t seem to affect them. More than that, I was able to observe Daspletosaurus half burying themselfs in the sand to take a nap several times. Although Daspltosaurus seems to be quite rare, I could once observe the meeting of two Daspletosaurs. The rather violent fight of the two suggest that they are solitary. At first you might not think so, because Daspletosaurus is not much bigger than Allosaurus, but they are the top of the foog chain. Their small size, compared to their cousins the T-Rex, they make up for with a strong biting force! But they are not really aggressive. Their aggressions seems to be directed only against other Daspletosaurus and their favourite food: ceratopsians. Their neutral nature made me wonder if they could be tamed. During my research I made some very interesting discoveries. Daspletosaurus builds its nests in the desert sand by moistening it with its saliva, creating a kind of clay. This prevents the eggs from getting lost in the sand. At night, the mother lies permanently on top of the eggs so that they do not cool down. I have observed how a mother briefly left the nest to drink and this short moment was apparently sufficient for the eggs to become too cold and the embryos died. Unfortunately, this seems to happen frequently, which probably explains their low numbers on the ark. If only there was some way to help them? Taming: The mother defends the eggs during the day to the blood. Strengthened by the sun and the will to protect her children, other dinos are too afraid to get too close. (daspleto plays a threatening gesture, so that the player knows where the border is. If he crosses it, she roars and creates fear like the yuti, only with 100% direct fear) At night, however, the mother sleeps on her clutch. You can gain her trust by sneaking up on her (ghillie) and dropping a piece of high quality meat from a ceratopsian on the ground in front of her and create distance again. Wait a while until she falls asleep again and repeat the whole process. (again, threatening gesture if you get too close. If you are too close, she stands up and attacks you or fearroars you. in both cases she leaves the nest and the eggs lose 1/3 of their durability (3 chances)). As soon as you earn trust, she puts down her head and opens her mouth. In this mouth you put a piece of meat OR water (0 slot) depending on what she asks for. She swallows and does not put her head down until she is hungry again. You do this until she reaches "Taming" 100%. Once that is reached, you be able to get ONE egg of the clutch. Breeding: Daspletos are breedable. But they ONLY mating in the desert at daytime and their eggs only hatch their too. If a superheat appears, the eggs hatching 5 times faster. non neutered Daspletos are aggressive to each other. You have to turn on mating by the female first, than get the male to her. they will mate and the female will scare away the male after. If the female have cooldown and you put a male to her, they will fight. they will also with other females, so no cluster mating! Abilities: Because Daspleto have a very unique taming and breeding process, they gain several strong abilities to make it worthwhile to tame them. - Can dig itself into the sand and thus protects itself and the rider from sandstorms, super heat and other dangerous weather effectsThey can. - can either create clay passively in inventory or must be set to wander, picks up sand from the ground and spits out clay again (like the achatina) - daspletos do not tolerate conspecifics in the same range as gachas. If two Daspletos get too close, they will attack each other (making them uncryobar in combat would be a consideration) - you can neutere a baby to avoid the aggressions to each other, so you will be able to use them in bossfight. Neutered Daspletos will not draw aggro from other Daspletos! - gets a buff for several real live hours when taking a sand bath. The buff gains damage resistance, a small health reg bonus and better stam reg. - Bonus damage against all ceratopsids and conspecifics. - can lie down to heal a bit quiker - dmg and health reg bonus at super heat and/or in desert biomes Attacks: Left click: Bite (higher base dmg than a rex). If you look infront of you it will normaly bite infront. But if you look back Daspleto will turn like Sarco to bite the enemy behind it. Right click: Tail swipe if you look behind or footstomp if you look infront. Both doing a bit less dmg than the bite but provides a high knockback and slow down enemies. X (single click) - dig in. Can move like Basilisk and Players oxygen drains while burrowed. Click x again to splash out of the sand with a anklebite which do a bit less dmg than the bite but sow down enemies and giving them a bleeding debuff. (digging has a cooldown) Also this attack blends riders with sand in their eyes. Comsume a good amount of stamina when moving under the sand! X (holding) - get ready for a sand bath! Get the Sandbath buff ctrl - Females WITH mating cooldown: Fearroar similiar to Yuti fearroar. Non neuteres males get the courage roar instead alt: Crunch. Higher base dmg than the bite and cause a strong bleeding debuff
  12. ASA should coming in about 2 months and we already got a list of stuff it should have... And there are a few things, that I would love to see in ASA as a better version of ASE and the option for WC to run the old ark feeling with new stuff and dlcs for all who dont wwanna play ARK2 or just waiting all this years. - Item Meshes! as we should actually get them in ASE. No more boxes! - Overhaul of Dino Abilities! most older dinos are useless in ASE because they are to weak, have no needable abilities or something like that. Some are just for PvP and useless in PvE. AND compare to newer creatures they oler ones dont have any special ability or that vaiority of attacky and abilities. So I would love to see an overhaul for all non TLCd dinos to give us a larger amount of more usefull dinos. - reworked dino taming and optic TLCs most older dinos are KO tames. even the biggest ones like bronto or giga. most of the ofter ones are passive tames. Thats okay tho, but now for around 90% of all ARK creatures! Newer dinos and dino modders like Crysta with Prehistoric Beasts, Additional Creatures from Garuga of some creatures from Shadlos mods have very unique taming ways which is so inspiring and fun. I would like to see more of this onto ASA creatures! I also would love a visual rework for some dinos like the Giga, bronto, Ptera, Pelagornis, quetz and so much more... AND all of the water creatures! There are still some awesome mods like Horders dino TLC, Hoffimans Mosasaur, Megalodon Surpreme and Paleo ARK which did a great job at ASE - More use of waterbioms! At the start, where just TheIsland was out, we could only get oil and pearls out of the sea. then other maps gave us the possepility to get those stuff easier. Beside Gen1 there is no reason to do anything around the ocean and water creatures. There are no bosses, there are no artifacts after TheIsland. Watercreatures dont have any special use mostly.. I would love to see a reborn ocean with reworked water dinos and ressources you only geather deep into the ocean or just there with special water dinos. - reworked caves! caves are one of the worst things in ASE. all creatures there are frozen, until you near at them. Most of them are behind the cavewalls so you even see them.. some dont even can come out and you just hearing attack noises. AND special cave creatures like Onyx or Araneo are totally useless for everyone. Some drops are behind alpha walls and stuff like that.. The look of the caves are amazing in my opinion.. all of the SE caves, the swamp and underwater caves from TheIsland... But the loading and deloading of every cave compare to the useless buggy creatures and textures there, caves are a mess.. also I would love to see new ressources in them which are only in caves. - structure rrework! ASE structures are to small. If you place a window frame, hour head is above the winods.. it feels klausthrophobic inside a one wall high home. fitting hights would be a nice thing Also a little rework of the textures. Thatch and Wooden structures look the same so you didnt see the door between pieces are little spaces so you see every piece for its own. every ceiling, every foundation. even walld. a more fluid texture would be so great. - New gates, fences, storage and deco items a new size beween the small and the behemoth gate would be awesome.. or just a dynamic gate like in S+ oder SS so we can choose by our own ❤️ More storage boxes and items, just for a more different look... a weapon storage, a closet, and stuff like that... perhaps with dynamic look like the ammonition box which displays a item you put inside it. more realistic fences would be awesome so PvE (and also PvP) players could build little creels for the sheeps, equus and stuff with fitting gates. more decoration items like ECO show us in his many mods - reworked story Maps! Genesis 1 and 2 are so amazing work, they are the best story maps in terms of visuals! but the older maps are borinjg and repetitive which lots of buggy parts... There are many places on TheIsland you can get stucked between non destroyable rocks. the vulcano area is awefull, the area between vulcano and redwood river is worst to travel. the lavalake looks great but the way to the top and to the Overseer gate is chaotic... you cant get up there with all 40 possible boss dinos. they get stucked every second and fall off the way. the little path at the top beside the lavalake has just a tiny spot where the dinos dont get damage by th lava. The entrance to the Overseer is very small for spino, rexes and modded dinosaurs in this size and 5 minutes are not enough to put them all into the cave as a singleplayer... also there is not that much space in ot to store all the dinos savely until you have every dino inside. Scorched earth is actually pretty nice. It feels just a bit repetitive which alle th same textures. Same with aberration. A bit more foliage and textures to give this maps a little kick would be great. extinction is a special kind... I love the idea with the city, the domes and the wasteland... I would love to see a bit more genesis biom vibes in "aberrant" and boh biodome bioms insteadof more TheIsland efford. City and wasteland need a whole remake in my opinion.. wasteland just looks boring, repetitive and kind of aweful, the city just doesnt feels like a city... more real buildings instead of just blocks of tek like stuff would be great. There are some freaking awesome modmaps with tons of creative examples. - ressource getting overhaul and new items for getting them you have to punch trees to get wood... why? why there arent any twicks or palm leaves on the ground to geather to craft the axe? same with other things like punching dead bodys for meat and stuff. Get materials with the right tool or straight of the ground would feels more fitting, especially for a survival crafting game! And if we have the stone axe and pickaxe.. there is only the metal versions after it... where are the swiss pocket knife like omni-tek-tool?! more different tool and perhaps workbenchs for geathering and crafting could be a idea.. so you need a knife for harvest dead bodies, axer and pickaxe still the same (wood, thatch, stone and stuff like this and after the metal tier you can craft a tek omnitool which contains all tools in one item. like a swiss pocket knife. Also some more ressources would be great.. different kind of meat and fish (would be an option to give creatures different taming ways) and stuff like this - more map native dinos! with every story DLC we just got a very few native dinos. it feels boring to see the same dinos over and over again... especially if there are kind of useless. more different dinos for each map would be so awesome.. you even can split some of the existin ones! I would love to see a feathered tarbo rex instead of normal rexes on scorched, aswell as other desert native dinos.. or juswt scorched variants with different patterns or some different shapes... or just reskins like pachy to stigymoloch and bronto to brachio! so we dont see the same dinos on evry map over and over - more skins, trophys and stuff! first we got new skins over and over for free (without any event like winter wonderland)... but after aberration we dont get anything new I would love to have more skins for saddles and weapons.. not just like the event ones... just dofferent options... more map specific skins like the scorched eath one would be also great and would be a great thing to add them to dinoloot, lootcrates or special new crates. Also you only get a very few trophies like from alpha wyv, bosses and alpha rex. and of course a lot of bug fixes... the reload bug for the rifle... hitting bug for dinos (the case you shoot and a creature and it doesnt count), swim fix for pelagornis, bary and other water creatures so they dont make circles.. thy bugfix and all the other ones which we have over years and dont getting fixes
