    ASA & ARK 2 suggestions and upcoming game updates

    Please follow the submission guidelines.

     

    • One thread per creature
      • If someone has already made a thread with your creature suggestion, feel free to upvote the thread and post your own ideas and thoughts into that existing thread
    • Must be a real-world extinct/prehistoric creature (dinosaurs, mammals, reptiles, etc)
    • Developers are disqualified from posting their own ideas
    • Supplemental information (wiki links, images, art) is preferred.

    ARK New DLCs

    Yes they mean new ones. One at least is confirmed to be coming in Q4 2023, could very well be based on Arat Prime, but then again could be anything.

    A second DLC is like to be decided based on how well ASA takes off. So that one won't be guaranteed.

    That's the same question asked twice but worded differently! 🤔

    The mods will depend on what Mod creators come up with. For a start a lot of the active mods on Steam workshop will likely be on ASA too.

    Unfortunately there is no specific way to do it, pretty much it is luck of the draw (which is why you see so many of the same names constantly appearing).

    The ways i'm aware of to get your content viewed by The Community Devs are:

    • Posting your content on this forum, in either the Gallery, or Creative Chat, depending on the type of content it is.
    • Posting your content in the official ARK Discord in the 'Fan Arts & Screenshots' channel (they don't allow Videos)
    • Posting your content on Twitter and tagging the likes of Cedric and Svala and hope that they ever get the chance of seeing your Tweet.

    Besides that I don't think there are other ways really of doing it. I've posted multiple screenshot images in the Discord and on Twitter in the past and never get in the Crunch, so lower your expectations quite a bit.

    But good luck, I hope to see you in there one day.

    Because they've already said ASA is being developed for people that don't want to move on to ARK 2. It is to be developed in parallel with ARK 2. So they are hardly going to wipe and close ASA servers when ARK 2 releases.

    People need to stop treating ASA as a stop gap until ARK 2 releases.

    Are you sure it's going to be early access? I didn't think they had stated that?

    As long as you're trying to sell two of the same maps as a different game, it's ridiculous.  If it was already a completely different map then I'll admit it's a different game.  You will continue to retouch more DLCs and sell them as new but they will still be the same DLC

    Gen2                   ->        Gen2

    Scorched earth  -> Scorched earth

    Theisland -> Theisland

    Etc.. 

    They aren't selling it as a new game, they are selling it as a remaster.

    Plus ASA will get brand new content with new DLCs. ASA is bringing ARK out of the 2015 dark ages into 2023. It will be glorious. 😂

    Maybe take the time to do a little research before you post. They have already spoken about the issue of it previously being claimed as free and the reasons as to why it is no longer free. They went into it in details after the roadmap. All it takes is to read through the community crunches properly.

    Besides it wasn't the CEO that said it was going to be free.

    Where's the Rhyniognatha? We're halfway through May and still haven't seen anything more than a dossier. You're REALLY giving the guys on official (ultimately this doesn't affect me because I play on a private server cluster), very little time to play with your new creature before they're forced to abandon ship.

    They've previously said Rhyniognatha is coming with ARK's 8th Anniversary which is early June.

    As for ignoring the mammoth in the room, well there's not much else for them to say because nothing's going to change. People either got to accept it for what it is or move on. May sound harsh, but life is too short to complain and wait for something that won't change.

     I am trying to speak on anyone's behalf that doesn't like what Their doing. From when Wc/Sg stated this. There Were Ark players who were talking about how this was wrong and got met with hostility. I've  experienced this first hand. I understand what you are saying. I'm not on here voting or anything. I speak for those who got shot down when they tried to speak up too. True I can't make those decisions for those people. 

    It's best if you drop this white knight drama because it's not going anywhere. Speak for yourself, not others, that's all you can do.

    If other people that are unhappy chose not to come to this forum to complain then that is their choice, if they can't be bothered then that's their choice. Not sure why anyone would waste their time and effort to speak for those that can't be bothered to do it themselves. 🤷‍♂️

    I'm speaking for Most of the players that don't agree with what WC/SG are doing. If you want to say that on behalf of the players who want ASA fine. That's your choice and opinion. Also I'm not telling or showing any hostility to anybody either. Check the forums it's the ones who so called want the ASA game.  I have a right to explain concerns etc.

    You then said "most players, I don't think so". So this means that you think most of the players that are happy about it are posting on this forum?

    Obviously not, so i'll put it down to you struggling to understand what I said.
