I get the point you're making, but lets not pretend like the island was steeped in realism. The game introduces itself by allowing you tame unicorns and fight literal dragons on the first map. Then graduates to phoenixes, death worms, and wyverns on the second map. this is 99% due to include console players for mods and give them an avenue to download them in what has been a historically strict environment with consoles. I don't believe for a second that premium mod pricing is a lucky coincidence here though.
