Short version : Tame low, Breed High. ---------------------------------------- I Am just getting back into playing after a long break but I would think that taming hasn't changed much while I was gone. I used to play on Official 432 (The Island) a long time ago, The person there who taught me to play never bothered to tame high level dino's, He found it to be more effective to tame low/mid level and level them up putting points into stats you want the high level dino to have, then breed them, take the offspring and do the same thing until you had high level dinos. This gives you high level dino's with the stats you want. It takes some time that way but it's much easier in my opinion than trying to prep to tame a high level alone, plus you should get a better dino. For example, we would tame a Rex, put points into Health, Weight, Stamina and Mele, once it and it's mate were maxed, breed them, then put points into the same stats of the offspring, rinse and repeat. Once we had a high-level offspring they would have better stats in those area's than any we could tame at the same level, especially if we managed to get the bonus' while raising the baby. Often there was nothing that spawned on the island that the final rex could not take. That said, it's been my experience that there is no "one size fits all" strategy for taming, if you give more info about what dino's and what kind of problems you have, it might help people to guide you on how to get better at taming it. If your playing on a server with experienced players, they might be willing to help teach you better strategies for taming the dinos your having problems with.

The system I play ASE on is about 5 years old. I can run ASE on high without too many problems, they did a free weekend not long ago for ASA so I downloaded it, I didn't get to play much, but I had to set the graphics down as low as they could go, (Made it look like crap) but I was able to run it, best I could tell, It's the same game, just updated graphics. I spent a lot of money on ASE and all the DLC's to help fund the development, never played anything other than the Island and SE until now, and maybe I just didn't get to spend enough time playing, but I just didn't really see enough differences from ASE to ASA that would convince me to spend the money to buy it and start the cycle over. Just my Opinion, I suggest keeping an eye on its store page for another free weekend and check it out and decide for yourself if it's worth buying.

90 views as of this post and no one so far knows what to do. Looks like this is an old problem that I guess never got fixed or a solution found for because I found a few reports of this happening to other people as far back as 2017 but no solutions.

ARK: Survival Evolved - Single player I was attempting to use engram overrides to unlock all the tek gear at level 100, However, 11 pieces of tek will not unlock including the tek chest piece and pants (Gloves, boots and helmet unlocked fine). I have removed all mods, Removed the engram overrides for the tek armor, used a mind wipe and let a dino kill me. then I used cheats to try and unlock the tek armor, as with the engram overrides, the gloves, boots and helmet unlocked, but the pants and shirt will not (no message saying that it did). Hoping someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong here or how to make them unlock. Thanks. engram override used: EngramEntryAutoUnlocks=(EngramClassName="EngramEntry_TekPants_C",LevelToAutoUnlock=100,RemoveEngramPreReq=true) EngramEntryAutoUnlocks=(EngramClassName="EngramEntry_TekShirt_C",LevelToAutoUnlock=100) Also used: EngramEntryAutoUnlocks=(EngramClassName="EngramEntry_TekShirt",LevelToAutoUnlock=100) This unlocked it so it can be worn, but it has no tek function. Cheat used: unlockengram "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Items/Armor/Tek/PrimalItemArmor_TekPants.PrimalItemArmor_TekPants'" unlockengram "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Items/Armor/Tek/PrimalItemArmor_TekShirt.PrimalItemArmor_TekShirt'" Edit: I have tried verifying the files, removing all mods, removing the unlock code from game.ini, deleting my player profile and deleting the island map, but the tek shirt and tek pants will not unlock. I used a mod that was supposed to unlock the tek but it still didn't unlock the shirt and pants. Using "Unlockengrams" does unlock it, but you can only put it on, if you try to use the tek jetpack for example you get the message "Tek Jetpack: requires Tek Chestpiece Engram to use." Edit 2: Tried installing Mods like "No Tek mod" that lets you craft and use Moded armor that looks and works like tek, I still can't use it, I still get the error "Tek Jetpack: requires tek chestpiece engram to use"
