  1. Update: Before this issue started, I wasn't experiencing any major bugs or crashes.
  2. Apologies for the generic title, but I am currently unable to get into my Island save file. I've reset and checked my files via steam, redownloaded the game as a whole, unloaded half the dlc and mods I had installed beforehand, and I swear I don't know what to do. I've spent about a year on it and beat the broodmother. I'll try practically anything at this point,
  3. This is Mamenchisaurus, Extinction’s last bastion against the corruption. This powerful creature is one of the strongest tames known, rivaling even the Giga and Charchar in terms of use. Let’s get into her, shall we? Design In real life, the Mamenchisaurus was a large sauropod found in Jurassic China. They had few predators due to their size, and had one of the longest necks known among dinosaurs. On Extinction, they boast a coat of protofeathers on their backs and tails, as well as the element-infused underside shared by Velonasaurs and Managarmr. When empowered by eating a corrupted heart, the spines along its back will glow blue, much like the “good” element color on its and most Extinction creature’s underbellies. Dossier “Common Name: Mamenchi Species: Mamenchisaurus Interfectorem Corruptionis Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Herbivorous Temperament: Defensive” Wild ”The wild and unnatural wastes of Earth are oftentimes too much for any creature, much less any herbivores. and yet? the righteous and gigantic Mamenchisaurus stands tall against the waves of opposition. These huge sauropods use their weight and mighty tails to combat the hordes of corrupted creatures in the wastes, sometimes even fighting Titans and winning! They make a unique use of corrupted nodes and hearts they pick up, turning the former into a tame-enhancing applicant, and the latter into sheer elemental power, the beast being near unstoppable when under its effects.” Domesticated “While not exactly easy to tame, Mamenchisaurus offer immense utility to anyone who can wield its power. It’s among the only creatures I’ve seen fight those Titans and hold its own, meaning that, next to the MEKs, they’re arguably the best creature for taking on those abominations. Earning one’s trust, on the other hand, is a whole ‘nother beast entirely.” Ecology Mamenchisaurus are massive herbivores found wandering the Wastelands of Extinction. Despite being herbivores, they will relentlessly attack and kill hordes of Corrupted Creatures, leaving most other species alone. Due to their immense size, they are rarely, if ever, attacked by predators such as Rexes or Spinos. Taming Mamenchisaurus are tamed strangely. A Wild Juvenile must be found and interacted with to begin the process, as it will follow you after being interacted with. While it is following you, you must kill Corrupted Creatures (Or Titans if it is more convenient for larger tribes) and ensure the Juvenile’s health never drops below 50%. If it does, the Juvenile will become aggressive to you. After enough creatures are slain, the Juvenile will warm up to you and sit down, allowing it to be fed a single Corrupted Heart to tame. The larger the creature slain, the more the taming bar goes up. Abilities Mamenchisaurus offer a wide range of abilities meant to fight off the rampant corruption. For starters, the species passively deals 2x more damage to Corrupted Creatures and Titans, are near impossible to knock back from Titan attacks, and can rotate in place. Their main attack is a directional foot stomp, allowing them to hit all directions around them. Their secondary attack is a neck sweep, giving them far more range than their primary attack. Their third and strongest attack is a charged and targeted tail whip, so precise as to accurately impact corrupted points on Wild Titans and dismount riders. Lastly, Mamenchisaurus can convert Corrupted Nodules into a paste that empowers tames against corrupted creatures, and can consume Corrupted hearts to gain an even further damage boost, enough to also damage metal structures. The main drawbacks of such power is the beast’s terrible speed, high demands for food, lacking attack power against non-corrupted creatures, as well as the substantial cooldowns/recoil that all of its abilities have. Uses ~Mass Gatherer Though not its intended purpose, Mamenchisaurus’s Neck sweep can harvest trees and bushes, gathering immense amounts of wood, thatch, fiber and berries. ~Wave Defender Due to its buffs against corrupted creatures, Mamenchisaurus is a must-have for OSDs or Element Veins. The one catch is due to its large AoEs and damage, the Mamenchisaurus must be placed away from the defended position to avoid it breaking the target itself. ~Raiding/Raid Defense Due to its large health pool and size, Mamenchisaurus can somewhat effectively drain turrets of their ammo, and breaks down defenses due to being able to break Metal structures in its empowered state. On the flip side, Mamenchisaurus can effectively counter raiders using Titans due to its powerful anti-corruption abilities. ~Titan Hunting/Taming Due to its power against Titans and Corrupted Creatures, Mamenchisaurus is best used to fight these gargantuan threats. It can even be used for taming the behemoths due to its targeted tail whip attack. It can easily compete with Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus against any of the Titans, including the King Titan. The one caveat is the creature’s inability to properly attack the Desert Titan when wild, due to the Titan’s tendency to fly high out of reach of most creatures (this can be circumvented by building a large enough platform on a Quetz Platform saddle, much like how one flies a Giga up to the Titan). Notes -I submitted the Mamenchisaurus due to the lack of variety in most community votes. While many different species (some good, some bad) have made it into the top ten, the winners are mostly the large carnivores (Charchar, Fasolasuchus, Gigantoraptor) or flyers (Desmodus, Sinomacrops, Rhyniognatha) and I wanted to introduce something new. Specifically a herbivore, as the last herbivore to be introduced was the Amargasaurus on Lost Island (unless the Andrewsarchus eats berries but I don’t recall it doing so). -The Mamenchisaurus was designed as both a PvP and a PvE tame to appeal to both crowds. While it doesn’t have distinct utilities angled toward either party like the Laeallyenasaura (My last submission), it’s unique abilities make it an valuable tame for late-game Extinction, for both PvE and PvP tribes. -Mamenchisaurus was partially designed to shake up the meta, given its anti-titan abilities and its precise and powerful tail whip. -While titan-opposing dinosaurs have been proposed before, I made mine a sauropod to differentiate itself. -The Mamenchisaurus’s taming method, particularly the feeding of a Corrupted Heart, was meant to dissuade the taming of early-game. -Mamenchisaurus’s main counter would be speedy player-controlled flyers or gliders, which can easily get hits in without being struck themselves. -If targeted right, the Mamenchisaurus’s tail whip can very easily put Managarmrs or Rock Drakes out of commission, swiftly killing the beast or its rider with its immense power.
  4. This is Leaellynasaura, the Center’s new all-terrain support Dino with applications for both PvP and PvE purposes. The medium-sized Ornithischian gets a size boost to be completely rideable, and hails from Prehistoric Australia. The Leaellynasaura is designed as an excellent forward scout and army-support, as well as an all-terrain alternative for Flyers. Let’s get into her abilities, shall we? Design Leaellynasaura are originally small, bipedal ornithischian Dinosaurs from Early Cretaceous Australia and Antarctica. Theorized to be covered in feathers of some kind to aid in temperature regulation. ARKs Leaellynasaura is similar. A naturally albino creature with light blue hues, the feather covered Leaellynasaura is hard to spot amongst the icy places it calls home. Unlike its real world counterpart, the ARK Leaellynasaura is larger, just under the size of a Utahraptor, and has significantly larger front limbs, boasting gripping claws. Dossier “Common Name: Leaelly Species: Leaellynasaura Aquambulatio Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Herbivorous Temperament: Passive” Wild ”Leaellynasaura Aquambulatio are unique little fellas, found in arctic regions. Since they’re lower on the food chain, they can oftentimes be seen by the coasts, where they are the safest. Their fluffy coats offer them protection from the cold, and keeps them relatively dry from chilly waters. They keep to the shores due to the unique method they use to escape predators: walking on Water! Much like Basilisk lizards, they can run on the waves, though unlike them, Leaellynasaura can move at several speeds and even drift! They can even clamber up sheer cliffs if need be. They can often be seen near to the Mammoth herds that wander the Tundra, as they often defend the smaller critters from the ravenous Direwolves and Yutyrannus.” Donesticated “Leaellynasaura Aquambulatio offer unique attributes few tribes out here can master. Particularly, their impressive mobility on both land and water allow their riders to move at significant speed across most terrains, acting as top-of-the-line forward scouts and exploratory mounts. Interestingly, some tribes have been able to coax out a frosty armor from the air trapped within the fuzzy friends feathers, coating their Allies in a frozen armor of some kind, greatly increasing their defenses. If one can master a Leaellynasaura, they can potentially master the entire region.” Ecology Leaellynasaura are found in the north and south arctic regions, particularly around the coast. They are (mostly) herbivores, meaning they are oftentimes on the run from stronger predators such as the Yuty or Direwolves. They have developed a unique taste for Organic Polymer however, and will prey on Kairuku is pressured. They have a unique relation with the Mammoths of the region, oftentimes using their unique abilities to boost up the mammals in defense of their territory. Taming Leaellynasaura are tamed passively, through gaining their trust. Survivors must keep hostile creatures (including tamed ones) away from the Dino long enough for it to develop into a calmed state. Once it is in this state, it must be fed berries, crops, Veggie Cakes, or their favorite, Organic Polymer. If a hostile creature enters a certain radius, Taming Effectiveness and Taming level itself will begin to decrease, and any nearby Mammoths will become hostile. Abilities Leaellynasaura have a wide range of abilities designed to aid survivors in both PvP and PvE environments. Firstly, they are adept at travel, being faster than most other species, similar to the Galimimus. Due to its claws, it also has notable climbing capabilities, identical to those of the Deinonychus. The signature ability of the Leaellynasaura however is it’s ability to run on water, much like the real life basilisk lizard, yet with fewer limitations. Leaellynasaura can move at either speedy or more controllable speeds, allowing it to effectively evade predators or forage for food. While they can’t properly stop on the water, they can quickly drift to get into a new direction. Their traveling capabilities are only supported by their fur insulating riders from both heat and cold. What’s more, is they can provide an icy armor to Allies, increasing defense significantly. This does not heal like that of a Snow Owl, but the Leaellynasaura remains mobile and can reapply the effect when out of harm’s way. Uses ~All-terrain Exploration Mount The Leaellynasaura is a must-have for traveling The Center on foot, and potentially even for caving. Its unique set of skills allow it to be an amazing land mount, where Survivors can quickly escape a bad situation and keep moving to find their next target, and due to its thermal regulation, survivors can worry less about the environments they chose to explore. ~Forward Scout Due to its small stature, natural camouflage, unique skills and impressive speed, Leaellynasaura works amazingly as a forward scout prior to a raid. Few creatures can keep up with it, and it’s capabilities allow its rider to get a complete view of the enemy prior to any assault. ~Bossing/Defense Support With its Icy armor buff applied, Leaellynasaura easily pairs well with Yutyrannus or Mammoth buffs for both Boss fights and Raid defense. It excels especially due to its mobility allowing it to dodge and weave through attacks, making up for it’s relatively small health pool. ~Caving Dino while not as physically powerful as contenders such as the Baryonyx or Thyla, Leaellynasaura makes up for it with its impressive mobility, only matched by Deinonychus and Megalania within most Artifact caves. Notes -I submitted the Leaellynasaura due to the lack of variety in most community votes. While many different species (some good, some bad) have made it into the top ten, the winners are mostly the large carnivores (Charchar, Fasolasuchus, Gigantoraptor) or flyers (Desmodus, Sinomacrops, Rhiniognatha) and I wanted to introduce something new. Specifically a herbivore, as the last herbivore to be introduced was the Amargasaurus on Lost Island (unless the Andrewsarchus eats berries but I don’t recall it doing so). -the Leaellynasaura was designed as both a PvP and a PvE tame to appeal to both crowds. while I’d generally expect more PvE use based on its abilities, It can almost certainly contend among other PvP support Dinos. -I specifically submitted it to The Center due to the map’s wide variety of environments and conditions and the lack of a proper all-terrain creature on the map (that isn’t a flyer). -While it is inferior in several ways to other creatures (Bloodstalkers, Deinonychus) I believe the Leaellynasaura is an excellent mix of several unique abilities that fits into a unique niche on its introduced map.
  5. Yeah, this needs to end. WC has said nothing regarding the CharChar getting in or not, hence no proof that in either way. PvE is very much get tek and progress. I only play PvE and with boosted stats, and I want tek for one main reason: Convienience. I would assume that’s what most other PvE players want it for too. Bosses are integral to progressing, and tek is a beneficial side effect to beating bosses.
  6. It’s still a rideable monkey that has been in game for a long time. I get the abilities are different, but you saying that we haven’t had a rideable monkey before is factually wrong.
  7. I wish the Charchar had won, but I’m fine with this because thank god they removed its ability to use guns. that was super dumb.
