I don't think alphas have their own spawn container, so you should just be able to use code to increase their spawn weight.

    Thanks!

From the article you shared, I think an Alpha Wyvern would be called a MegaWyvern since it refers to the Alpha Raptor as a MegaRaptor.  So I'm thinking add something like this and see what happens:

    DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=MegaWyvern, SpawnWeightMultiplier=10.0, OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,  SpawnLimitPercentage=0.1)

  2. Playing Unofficial right now on Xbox. I've played both official and unofficial over the years and never seen this issue before. Spamming stimberries always caused them to drop a ton of poop. Now he will only drop one at a time, sometimes 2 max.  I just tried it again and yep same results. I even pumped up his food a ton after uncryoing him and spammed regular berries, then stims, messed around a bit. Nothing. it seems broken.

It works. Maybe your Phiomia was out of food and you kept on spamming in Stimberries. Happend to me as well and I wondered for a few seconds... ?

Nope, brand new phiomia and he had full food. When I'd spam the stimberries the food wouldn't go down either like it used to. I remember having to be careful not to kill them with too many stimberries and always leveling food. I'll jump on here in a few and try it again though to see if it was a glitch or if this is a new thing.

  4. Yep happening to me too after the 21GB update. Man that was a big one too!!! I guess they'll need at least one more before this is fixed. I've never had the dashboard thing happen until this Summer Bash event.

  5. XBOX ARK dashboards everytime I play now

I'm on an XBOX One X and I never DC where my friends do all the time. That has now changed. I will play and just be running along and screen goes black and then back to the dashboard. Anyone else experiencing this? Should I delete and reload Ark completely? I hate to do it but if it actually fixes it then worth it!

  6. Metal spawns on Extinction. Did they change them?

I just started playing on Extinction again after 6 months or so of taking a break. Did they move the metal spawns? There was a great spot right outside the Show Biome towards the desert and I went there today and there were hardly any. Did they change the spawns?

  7. Love the Theri, my favorite tame!  Sure is a pain finding a decent saddle BP for them though.  When I did find one it was an ascendant BP which you would think is amazing right?  Well the mats for it being 35K hide, 16K fiber, 14K wood, and 6500 metal ingots.  Needless to say I didn't have anywhere to actually make it let alone gather all them mats LOL.

not complaining they did it.  was complaining that it seemed like an inelegant solution to allow lower levels to craft cryopods.  I have no problems with non-tek users crafting them.

In keeping with the types of things that you can craft in a replicator it kinda makes sense.  I was looking at the list and everything you can craft in a replicator are basically realistic items from modern day and not futuristic items like the Cryopod and fridge.  If you look at it that way it makes total sense.

this is really cool but it seems like a overly complicated work around. either make it tek, or make it not tek. ya know?

I can't see complaining about it.  I have a small hidden base and my owls all cryopoded.  I had 1 day left before I needed to figure something out and without the ability to transfer back to Extinction it was going to get real. Being able to quickly craft 4 cryopods in a nearby drop was pretty amazing.

So let me get this straight you are against this ability and you don't think that it should be a thing yet you actively engage in doing it. That's like saying that you hate meshing and think that it should be fixed but until it is you continue to mesh yourself.

It's called balance. An animal that can hide needs an animal that can uncover it.

Comparing meshing with carrying a Parasaur around to find hidden bases isn't comparable, try again.

Nobody is suggested that the Parasaurs ability should be removed, only that it's currently way to easy to find hidden bases and creatures.  One thing that drew me to this game was how you could make a hidden base in the woods and it could be hard for someone to find it.  If you have even a dodo at your base this tactic is over.

it seems kinda dumb to have hidden creatures but no way of finding them.

    Makes a useless tame useful.

If you've actually followed the thread you'll note that folks have come up with very good ideas to counter the crazy bad mechanic that currently exists of flying around a Wyvern or Argie with a Parasaur looking for hidden bases.  Yes, this is happening all the time thanks to Youtubers like HOD gaming for sharing this mechanic it's happening more and more.  If folks are determined to find hidden creatures and bases let's not make it all so easy for them shall we?  Most folks hide bases because they don't really have any good defenses up yet and choose to hide instead.  It's a cool tactic that's alot of fun and is completely ruined by the new Parasaur carry meta.

Weigh In: Legacy, New Servers, and New Modes

We've been receiving feedback that the community is looking for new adventures. This may come in the form of new servers with the original experience or new servers with a twist.  You've been heard!

Let's discuss some relative numbers.  Consider the amount we have servers now as 100% of the servers available for discussion.  In order for new servers to be established, we'll have to take from that 100% (what exists today).  Currently, we look for low population servers or legacy servers when we want to open new types of servers - as we did recently.

Legacy servers won't be getting support (mesh detection, enforcement, maps, etc).  There will be mixed feelings on this but do not expect legacy to be around forever.  With that in mind, what types of new modes/servers would you like to see?

Legacy players, what makes you stay on legacy?  The community you've built up?

I've love to play the new Classic servers but I'm on Xbox.  Creating some on Xbox would be fantastic.
