  1. v36.8 server (36.7 PC Client) (36.4 Xbox and Playstation Client) - 03/11/2024 - Major version for servers and clients Patch Notes "Fixed "crease" lines in Character pixel painting" PLEASE reverse this so-called "fix"!!! The crisp edges of pixel art on characters made colors pop and designs flourish with precise painting placement and defined edges. After this most recent patch, the pixels work like they do when painting a tame, in that the edges are blurred, the colors are muddied, and the leap from single pixel line to double pixel width is catastrophically hideous. PLEASE PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS!!! I had so many intricate designs that now look like they're made of felted dryer lint! And worse, the seams between body regions, where the pixels change directions, now have jarring gaps in previously seamless designs, and fixing it requires not only guessing the correct color to use (a near impossible task now that the edges all haze into eachother and warp the hues) but also clicking the correct spot to fill in the area without the pixels leaping into other unintended regions. This change has KILLED the artistic opportunities of the 127 dyes and spat in the face of creatives. PLEASE fix this ASAP!!!
  2. Don't forget to try painting your tames! The pixels work very differently from painting a human, but if you work carefully, you can land some fairly crisp designs.
  3. More art! Be sure to reach out once servers open if you would like to commission a tattoo or tame paint job.
  4. The ASA dye assortment is PHENOMENAL and makes war paint/tattoos all the more fun to design, but there are some known issues to be aware of. - The Industrial Cooker will only auto-craft up to one stack of each dye. Once the dye stack is full, it continues to CONSUME berries trying to craft it, but no dye is made until the stack is removed. [This is most easily tested by crafting greyscale dye with auto craft. Any narco/stimberries beyond 1200 will get wasted once all ten dyes reach 100 crafted] - Reload your paintbrush outside the painting HUD. When you drag and drop dye to a brush while the painting HUD is open, whether you're painting structures, tames, or people, it eats up to 11 dye to fill the brush, but if you drag the paint to the brush in an inventory instead of the HUD, it only consumes 1 dye. This does not alter the amount of paint on the brush. Paintbrushes also count as empty once it falls below 10% dye left on the brush. - Brushes will not reload dye when painting structures. [Leave the HUD to refill it so it doesn't pull 10-11 dye for one brush] - Brushes will sometimes reload the WRONG dye color [random] when painting warpaint too quickly on a tame or avatar. - "White" coloring is transparent. Use an off-white dye to paint something white. - Rhynios [possibly other tames; untested] will sometimes block the ability to paint them or load templates. This can be corrected by podding and unpodding them. HOWEVER, once painted, the paint job will sometimes not be visible to some players while others can see it fine. There is no known pattern for who can see it and who cannot, but it will alternate, so just be patient or try leaving render and coming back. While the paint is not visible, the Rhynio will also reject new paint/templates being added. Best of luck navigating the wonderful world of painting! Just for fun, here's two of my favorite projects...
