How to translate the game?

Hello.

The official translation for my language (italian) is complete garbage, to the point the game is tedious to play and some stuff is barely playable because you literally can't understand what a thing is because the words are all mixed up.

Even the menu texts are very bad, misleading, and mislabeled.

I think this situation is also generating a revenue damage for Wildcard games, they could sell literally more in my country if only the translation was correct: many young people do not know English very well and will try the game in our language first, it's also the default when you download it from steam.

I do not want only to complain and I prefer to take action: do any of you know if is there any translation project going on?
I see there are many mods, maybe I could make a translation as a mod?
How can I get involved in a community translation of the game? I myself would do much much better than the translation that is there right now.

If the game's Italian translation sucks, hit up the game forums or support and ask if there's any cool project fixing it. Some games let fans help with translations. Check out modding communities too—they might be onto something. If there's no plan, suggest starting a gang to fix it. Making a dope Italian translation mod could make the game way better for Italian players and catch the devs' eyes. Keep tabs on official news and forums for updates on translations. Team up with others and use your language skills to make the game awesome for Italian gamers.
