My suggestion is because sometimes killing the fish with the spear and instatly grabing him is troubling combat inside water when we get attacked by a creature, we become unable to attack mid combat (because is holding the fish) and have to release the fish to attack with the spear again, and if we acidentaly kill another fish, we grab the fish again and have to repeat the process. Also sometimes we just want to kill and harvest the fish immediately.
So adding an option in the options menu for people to choose if they want to hold fish after killing it with a spear or not will help for people who wants this mechanic to be kept and people who wants it disabled.
