From a distance, this creature can be mistaken for the monstrous t-rex,
but getting closer to the creature shows its slimmer build and massive jaw.
The more interesting thing about this creature is how it attacks,
picking up other creatures and draining life from them. After it has taken a few victims,
its sides and eyes seem to glow red and cause an increase in its already furious behavior.
Domesticated
Once a death reaper has been tamed by a survivor, it can offer many uses.
This being its incredible smell being able to detect nearby enemies hiding in the dark,
or its ability to pick up creatures and help with taming instead of building expensive traps, and overall great speed for a creature its size.
Dino Abilities
- Pick up dinos with its mouth and players off tames(Max creature size would be the stego)
- Normal bite attack
- Tailspin attack
Special Features
- Health Tracker
- Trace ability where the death reaper will be able to track nearby dinos
- Two different modes
- Blood Rage
Health Tracker
-The Death Reaper has the special ability to track a creature's health once damage has been inflicted. It displays the health symbol with a visual representation of the amount left with a percentage.
The Trace Ability
-How the trace ability would work is the Death Reaper would do a sniffing animation an the creatures in the surrounding area would be highlighted with a red outline for a certain amount of time for the survivor.
The Two Different Modes
Regular Mode
-In the Death Reapers' regular mode, the creature will have its basic bite attack, The tailspin attack, and be able to pick up dinos and players off mounts. The overall benefit of this mode is the faster attack rate than in blood mode. It will also have all the special features mentioned above.
Blood Mode
-When the Death Reaper is in its blood mode, the creature becomes a completely different threat, with its basic attacks doing a blood drain effect for a few seconds lowering the target creature's health. The dino pick-up will slowly drain the creature's life for however long it is in the Death Reaper’s jaw. These drain effects will slowly health the Death Reapers' health over time. It will also have access to all the special features mentioned before.
Blood Rage
-After each kill the blood rage meter will fill up, and this meter would level up to a max of 5. This ability would work similarly to the Carch. Each level will increase the death reapers stats by 1% until 5% at max. The stats that this would effect is movement speed, damage, and heath. The Death Reaper will also have a visual representation of this blood rage with the sides and the eyes of the creature glowing red. Each level would increase the brightness of this glow.
Passive abilities And Utility
Radiation Resistance
-The creature will not be effected by the radiation zone
-Mate boost
PVE
-good travel mount due to the good speed
-Use this creature on its reg mode to help tame up to creatures as large as the stego by it holding the creature in its jaw
-The Death Reaper can also help with getting reapers to low health for taming(Mutated/high level will be needed to survive this encounter)
-Can also help find creatures in a nearby area
-Can take into Boss Fights
PVP
-Able to grab enemy tames, stopping their attacks
-Able to grab the rider off a tame
-Find hidden loot dino storages
-Find nearby enemies
-Able to track enemies you have damaged
Taming
-This creature can be found all over Abberration
-Once the creature is found, you will have to let it attack some of your tames, increasing the blood rage meter. Which for wild ones will cause the pickup and blood drain ability. Once the blood meter has reached max level, the Death Reaper will let out a roar letting you know it is ready for taming. You will then need to sacrifice another creature for the Death Reaper to grab and drain. Its favorite creature would be the Roll Rat causing the fastest taming speed and best effectiveness. Stegos being its second favorite.
