AlmondLKECP Posted April 13, 2023 Share Posted April 13, 2023 I have some problems with losing a character in my dedicated server, After I was ascending the game it asked me if I would like to download a character or cancel, So I clicked download character and spawn in the map. Suddenly when Helena's cutscenes begin my game crashed. I reconnect to my server but I can't download my character. There is nothing in my character list like I am the new one on the server. what can I do is just create a new character. I try to put my old character file into SavedArks Folder but when I launch the server, it always generate INVALID.arkprofile and change my file to a new one. Larkfields Posted April 13, 2023 Share Posted April 13, 2023 I've seen that happen when the character's inventory was full before uploading. The only way I know to get your character back is to restore from a backup. Alternatively, start a new character and use admin commands to give back your levels and ascentions. Larkfields Posted April 14, 2023 Share Posted April 14, 2023 I doubt you'll get anything else back if Recuva failed. You need to start keeping regular backups.
