Silx
Linux Server Problem (every 2 minutes ping peak) Hello, im looking for some advice concerning a linux server with a minor ping problem at exactly every 2 minutes / 120 seconds. The machine we talking about is a:HP DL360 G9, 8SFF - 2 x E5-2680 V3 - 128 GB ram - p440ar controller, + cache/fwbc. - Dual psu Started a 9 map ARK cluster on Ubuntu linux (works perfect) except every 120 seconds there is a ping peak going from 15 to 70-80. (shortly) Players dont really experience it but its there wich should be not. Changed OS from Ubuntu to Debian (works perfect) but still every 120 seconds exact there is a ping peak going from 15 to - 70-80 ping. (shortly) Its not a worldsafe btw. Hosted a new server for testing on my own machine in the same network using Windows 10.. Ping peak is gone. Have tried alot of things to solve this ping peak on the server machine but i ran out of options / ideas. Everything works really well but this is hurting my head lately so i wonder if some other Linux server host had a same like issue and might have a solution for this? Not interested running it on Windows so lets scrap that answer There are plenty Linux servers online without the issue i have right now. Best regards Silx. Zhandroid
If you're having ping / latency issues, then you need a new hosting provider or open a ticket with them. There isn't anything you can do on the ark server to fix that.
Larkfields
Try to narrow the problem down. Is CPU, network or disk access causing the problem? Do you have anything else running on the computer?
