IDNeon Posted February 19, 2016 Share Posted February 19, 2016 I'm confused by the guides on using metal pillars to build a shell around the raft so the raft cannot be directly damaged and definitely not by dinos? Because, I have also read that foundations are damaged before the raft takes damage. Was there a time that was not true, and so encasement was necessary, but now it is changed so that foundations protect the raft and encasement is unnecessary? Cymas Posted February 19, 2016 Share Posted February 19, 2016 I had a sarco chase my raft yesterday, he definitely damaged the raft and the structures on top of it. It sounds like that's more of a PVP raft build to keep people from being able to get an easy kill on the raft, since it's only a wood structure. If you're playing on PVE it is probably unnecessary.
