The adapatable temnospoyndyl of the rivers! Common Name: KoolasuchusSpecies Name: Koolasuchus bombora (Kool's Sea Wave Crocodile)Time: Early CretaceousDiet: CarnivoreTemperament: Docile but Aggressive to Sabertooth Salmon Tameable: YesRideable: YesUtilities: Hunter, River Transport, Prime Fish Gatherer, Water Purifier Wild: Koolasuchus is a very unique creature, as it is one of the few amphibians on the Island. However, it is quite massive for an temnospondyl, being almost as big as a Sarcosuchus. Despite its size, Koolasuchus is unusually friendly towards humans and will ignore their presence unless attacked. Perhaps it is because of its rather unusual diet. Although it can consume any type of fish meat just fine, it is quite obsessive over prime fish meat, due to its higher quality. This has led Koolasuchus to actively pursue Sabertooth Salmon and its massive schools. As a result, it has adapted to make its skin harder to penetrate so it can reliably hunt without being in mortal danger. Domesticated: While this hardened skin has made them much more difficult to be tamed, a persistent tamer can still manage to knock one unconscious, although it requires more arrows or darts compared to other creatures. However, they are exceptional aquatic creatures, as they can pull off many roles. They are very decent hunters, as they are both deadly and very fast in the water, similar to the Sarcosuchus. In addition, they are very adaptable, as they have evolved to tolerate most conditions in the seas and in the rivers, as they have special glands where they constantly filter out toxins and salts from the water that they absorb, allowing a survivor to have fresh water from simply swimming in the oceans or in the swamps. Lastly, Koolasuchus's obsession can be put into good use, as they can easily kill an entire school of salmon in order to get a delicious piece of prime fish. Additional Info: An additional quirk about Koolasuchus is that it can actually live in the colder regions of the Island. Although they can't penetrate into the inner parts of the polar biome, where they would freeze to death, these amphibians are quite hardy and can live in places where Prionosuchus and Beelzebufo would normally avoid, like cold rivers. Sarcosuchus also usually avoid these regions as well, as they like to remain in the southern parts of the Island. This has led Koolasuchus to become the dominant aquatic creature in the northern parts of the Island, even with the presence of Spinosaurus and other aquatic threats. Author's Notes: It's time for a new dossier, and this time it is the Koolasuchus, the adaptable temnospondyl of the rivers! This rather strange creature lives primarily in the rivers of the island, especially in the northern regions, where they dominate the landscape, as they are hardier and more tolerant of colder temperatures than other amphibians like Prionosuchus and Beelzebufo. A person could say that it is the amphibian equivalent to the Sarcosuchus, and they would be right, as it is almost exactly the same size and has similar traits to the rough-skinned crocodile. However, Koolasuchus is far more passive in temperament than its counterpart and will mostly ignore humans unless they're attacked. The primary reason is that they usually hunt fish for their meals, although they can also attack smaller creatures who try to enter the water. They especially love prime fish and will actively seek out to eat a Sabertooth Salmon in order to consume their succulent meat. This has led Koolasuchus to adapt by hardening its thick skin in order to prevent the fish from biting into them. Its thick skin has made taming this animal much more difficult, as it resists damage from darts and bolts, which leads to lower torpor. However, persistent tamers will eventually knock one unconscious. Once tamed, they are very versatile creatures. For one, they are capable hunters and transports, being comparable to the Sarcosuchus. However, Sarcos have more health and damage while Koolasuchus is faster. In addition, they have a unique trait where they can purify the water that they absorb through their skin, allowing a survivor to have a free mobile water tap (Not saying where the water comes out.... ). This mechanic could also be useful in case the oceans become salty, since they could survive in the oceans for quite a long time. Lastly, they are exceptionally good at killing Sabertooth Salmon, as they resist their blood draining attacks. They could even do this autonomously, so a group of Koolasuchus can easily rack in tons of prime fish for a potential tame. Thanks for reading!
