Meat Posted February 2, 2017 Share Posted February 2, 2017 Introducing the No Fly Center PVE server (216.105.170.26:27060), physically located in Chicago, US. Breed/Mature 5x; Tame 2.5; XP/Gather 2x. The map started wiped 1/31/17 so is wide open for new players’ exploration and adventure. Difficulty level is standard 5 (max wild dino level 150). Mission: We’ve found that once you can fly, the map becomes smaller and the game much easier; you lose a great deal of the fear which is one of the things we love so much about the game. We would like to encourage and develop a server that promotes trade between tribes. We tried this with moderate success on a Primitive Plus No Flying server and I think it can be done here. Breed super creatures and band together to defeat the Bosses. One guy wants to breed super parasaurs that are fast, can carry a lot and have high health for caravans. Another is breeding super carnos as escorts for such caravans. Me…I’m partial to Paracers…but I digress… Gigas are on the map but not tameable; the reason for this is, as a good friend of mine states: there should be something in the world that is so terrifying that all you can do is run and hide…or band several tribes together in cooperation to defeat it. Gigas fill this role on this server. There are no Titanosaurs as they are just too clunky and get stuck everywhere. Server rules could be as simple as “don’t be a sausage” but some specifics are spelled out below: 1. Don’t grief new players. 2. PVE server so try to see other survivors as potential trade partners, NOT as a target. 3. Please don’t build structures that block or hinder other players’ access to large resource nodes, or are intended to claim land for later development. Meat Posted February 7, 2017 Author Share Posted February 7, 2017 In your Steam menu, check in the upper left corner click View/servers then choose the favorites tab. Add 216.105.170.26:27060 to your favorites and it will show up there when you next log in to Ark. Hope to see you there! Incidentally: added a walkway at Skull Island so walkers can get to the back of the lower level for resources. Impact on resource spawns was negligible.
