    Today, ARK: Survival Evolved has made its transition from an Early Access title to a full Digital and Retail release. As a studio, we are incredibly excited about reaching this milestone. It has been a challenging and emotional experience for everyone a part of the ARK world; we're overjoyed about finally being able to hold the complete ARK disc, and want to thank each one of you for joining us on this journey.

    ARK started out as a very ambitious project, in terms of scope of content, features, and the story. It was no secret that we were in for an adventure with what we were hoping to achieve alongside the community. It started out as a basic open-world survival game, with one ARK, one boss, about 30 creatures, and approximately a bazillion bugs give or take. It was hard to say where the game would lead us, regarding its story, and its development. Those of you who were with us for the Early Access launch had many questions about how the world came to be, why you were here, and where we were going. Today, you can begin to discover the answer to those questions.

    Over the past 26 months, the game has undergone massive improvements thanks to feedback from the community. We now launch with four ARKs - including the Norse & Scottish Highland-Inspired "Ragnarok" -, five bosses, over one hundred creatures to tame and encounter, the inclusion of the Primitive+ alternate game mode & Procedural ARKs, hundreds of mods, total User Interface overhauls, general performance enhancements, bug fixes, quality of life improvements, countless additional gameplay plus story elements, and... a toilet.

    With the “1.0” release version, you can experience the full story of ARK: Survival Evolved! Can you make it to the heart of the ARK and discover the shocking secret that lies buried within? While it may seem strange for a survival game to have a “single player” mode with an “ending”, we’re happy that surviving the ARK provides a measure of closure should you seek it, while also pointing the way to what comes next.

    Rest assured this complete version of the game will still be receiving regular updates, and this is not the end of the ARK saga, but only the beginning of the next phase, for great adventures and awe-inspiring new experiences are just around the corner…

    It won't be long before we add two new members to our ever growing family of critters (with the Otter joining us today on PC, with the Phoenix and additional Tek Gear coming later this week!), as well as items, additional gameplay elements and more. ARK has only just scratched the surface, and there is a long future ahead, survivors everywhere will get to experience something out of this world.

    Early Access hasn't been an easy or straightforward process; there is no established guidebook or instructions on how to take a game from early access, and into the full digital and physical retail release. You could say that we now understand why so few have done it. ;)

    Having the community by our side, through thick and thin has been a key component to achieving this milestone. Sometimes we've made mistakes, and have had different opinions, but we truly appreciate each and every one of you. Your feedback, ideas, support, and passion through our Early Access journey have been vital to the development of the game and will continue to be invaluable to us. The community has undoubtedly influenced ARK for the better and contributed to its success and the landmark of reaching full digital and retail release.

    We encourage everyone who has ever wanted to ride a T-Rex, soar across the skies on the back of a Pteranodon, fish from their boat as the evening sun fades over the horizon, or explore the deepest caverns to encounter terrifying extinct predators, to join us in the living, dynamic world that is ARK: Survival Evolved. Whether online or off, solo or in a large tribe, we think that everyone will find something special to discover on the ARK and make it their home.

    When will they FIX the bluescreen on Unofficial pc servers!
    I payed for 90 days, and now because of all this I payed for 1 and half day so far for nothing.

    and they don't say anything on about it.

    I'm trying to load in and then as soon as the servers pop up I get a blue error screen..anyone know how to fix it?

    I got a good chunk.

    New Rags are crammed to over 100 people on them.

    No Legacy Rags. No new Centers. 3 Scorched- all EU.

    Legacies are practically empty.

    EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: This was a PVE looksie only. I haven't checked PVP.

    Nope, no support whatsoever for Legacy servers. Like we really had much to begin with. That's why all the new servers are clogged with over twice the limit of players on them.

    Well 24 hour later and it is only getting worse. Now a lot of us can't even see the server list. Biggest day one flop since NMS.

    I love playing your game ARK! (other than all the duping on legacy servers)

    When ark was a Preview at least I could play the game, I have yet to play your game even though I have virtually stared at my t.v. for 25 hrs waiting to get into a Ragnarok server.. It was ok, that the servers came up 17 hrs later than expected, but it is too much for me to stare at all the full official servers that I hopelessly cant get into.

    It isn't appropriate how poor your communication is with the purchaser. It is just disrespectful now. I have wasted time and asked others to waste their time for me to play your game that I now understand isn't ready. I had a 17 man xbox crew on stand by for 15 hours waiting to get into Ragnarok and now this wont be happening. I dont care to enjoy your game anymore, too much headache dealing with your lack of leadership to take responsibility. Please tell me how I can get my money back and add on scorched money too.

    Only the devs never come here. You're only slightly more likely to get a response through Twitter. Slightly, but still highly unlikely. You should start by going to whoever you bought the game from and see where it goes from there.

    Tbh Wildcard is probably the worst game developing company out there!

    After years of support to the game and bug reporting we first get slapped with a ridiculous price tag, mass duping, no support through from tickets, and finally, on release, I had some hope!

    NOPE, once again Wildcard shows their true intentions, Company is a joke. Full release and you release this amount of servers???? DILO are you thinking!

    Honestly, it is absolutely disgraceful that gaming companies can rip off customers like this! There need to be more regulations on quality and control, after all, it may "just be a game" but they are still selling a product. 

     

    Right RANT is done, uninstall ark and avoid wildcard on any further purchases happy gaming all!

    Wildcard you are a joke of a company and I truly hope you go bust!

    So almost 26h after multiple times postponed release the game is still FAR FAR from being a product being advertised. 100 servers and almost 6.000.000 copies of the game sold. Where should the rest 5.993.000 players play???

    Thats what i resorted too even though that's exactly what i didnt want to do but thats what everyone suggested it's just stupid that it's locked behind ascension in the first place if i was on a server in a tribe that did not continuously stab me in the back then i'd be happy playing through each Ascension but single player you would of hoped for some leeway at least it is wildcard and wildcard are usually forgiving to SP players but to be honest playing SP sucks too i wanna be on a server but i've had poopty experiences on both pvp and pve.

    It's come to the point where most of my friends no longer play an if they do its CO-OP. I will say that i have found a nice place to build with a sweet view i'm just glad i had my wyvern to be able to fly up to it.

    First ! I cant find my old Server on Xbox. It is Server 713. And Second Every ragnarok Server is completely full. I had so much issues with this stupid game man. I Hope u Idiots do it right at least One Time Please. I cant Tell how many Dinos etc ive lost because of ur incompetence.

    All old servers (that weren't deleted) are now on the Legacy server list.

    Rag will be full until they release more servers and the novelty has worn off a little. Your best bet is to play in Single Player for a bit to get a game plan together for when you get to go online.
