  1. The protosolpuga is an ancient relative of todays camel spider. The main idea for this creature was that it'd be a very speedy and dangerous foe to make exploration a bit more challenging. It would be a bit faster than a raptor or sabertooth and would be able to outrun most creatures. I tried making it both a good fighter and a good travel mount hence the 2 modes. Even thought this is supposed to be the protosolpuga I actually just designed it after the currently alive camel spider, with a few minor tweaks and changes ofcourse. This is simply because the few images that pop up on google when searching protosolpuga are, as seen at the bottom of this page, very vague and hard to understand. Behavior: The protosolpuga would be a very aggressive creature, charging at anyone who gets too close. It'd run up to any creature it comes upon in its movement mode to then switch to combat mode and attack. If the creature were to be small enough, carryable by an argy, the protosolpuga would use its grab ability in which it uses its jaws to pick it up into a defenseless state to then chomp down on it, dealing bleed and massive damage. If multiple creatures were to attack it it'd pick one up if possible and chomp on it in its jaws whilst using its claw strike to hit the rest. If the creature were to be too big to be picked up the protosolpuga would simply use its claw strike and chomp normally. Abilities: (Left Click) Chomp: A very strong attack in which the protosolpuga would clamp down its jaws on its unfortunate foe. It would deal massive damage and bleed but would have a quite long cooldown so it could only be preformed every other second or so. This would mean that the chomp attack actually would have slightly worse DPS than the claw strike but its bleed would make it stronger against foes with more health. The chomp attack would be weakened when in movement mode and would deal less bleed however it'd be the only attack available in movement mode as the 2 front limbs are busy running instead of fighting. If the protosolpuga were holding a creature in its jaws with the grab move the creature currently being held would be the one to get damaged by the chomp attack. (Right Click) Claw Strike: A slightly weaker but much faster attack that utilises the protosolpugas 2 raised front limbs in combat mode to swipe, one after the other, in a 2 hit attack towards its foe. However, since it utilises its 2 front limbs the protosolpuga would only be able to use this attack when in combat mode. The claw strike attack would hit the target twice and have a much lower cooldown than the chomp which would lead to it actually having slightly better DPS. However this attack wouldn't make the opponent bleed so this attack would be reserved more toward weaker foes with less health. However, this attack would only be useable in combat mode as in movement mode the 2 front limbs would be used for movement instead of combat. (C) Grab: Much like an argentavis the protosolpuga would be able to gently use its jaws to pick up and carry around creatures. The creatures that would be carryable in the protoslpugas jaws would be the same as the argy can carry in its talons. If the chomp attack is used whilst a creature is currently held by the protosolpuga the creature being held will be hit. Stats: Healt: Just a little weaker than a rex or spino to compensate for it dealing a bit more damage than them. Stamina: Decent, like an argentavis but would loose stamina faster in movement mode. Oxygen: Don't really think it matters, it's a giant desert dwelling arachnid. Food: Just about like a rex or spino. Wheight: Pretty much like a rex or carno, it's not meant to be used for rescource gathering so it'd just about have enough to carry you, something in its jaws, and som meat/hide & such in its inventory. Damage: About as strong as a rex or spino when in combat mode but only about as strong as a carno or baryonix when in movement mode. However, keep in mind that it'd also have bleed a bleed effect making it slightly superior. Speed: A bit faster than a raptor or sabertooth, not fast enough to truly be considered a travel mount but would atleast be able to catch up to most creatures on the ground. Torpor: Just about the same as a rex or spino as its taming method would make tranquilizing it hard enough as it is. Movement Mode: When in movement mode the front legs of the protosolpuga would be lowered down to the ground and be used for movement instead of combat. Movement mode would simply be activated by running (holding shift whilst walking). Whilst in movement mode you'd have no resistance or damage reduction and your attacks would be weaker but you would be traveling att significantly faster speeds. The chomp attack would now do less bleed and deal less damage overall and the claw strike attack wouldn't be able to be preformed as the front legs are being used for movement. Combat Mode: When in combat mode the front legs of the protosolpuga would be raised up and held in the air to be used in combat to attack and block incoming attacks. This would make the protosolpuga stronger in general but much slower like an anky. When the protosolpuga is ridden combat mode would be activated by simply not sprinting for a second or so but when not riding it it would activate automatically when it detects a threat nearby. When combat mode is active the protosolpuga would deal more damage get a damage reduction from attacks coming from infront of it as it would atleast partially be able to block them with its front limbs. The chomp attack would deal more damage and now induce a stronger bleed effect and the claw strike attack would now be useable. Taming: The protosolpuga would be a knockout tame but due to its thick armor plating it'd be invulnerable to all tranquilizers. To tame the protosolpuga you'd instead need to let it grab on to one of your creatures. When this happens the protosolpuga would be left with ith it's jaws open. This then gives you a chance to be able to run in with a shield and forcefeed it narcotics. After this it'd let out a shreik and begin to chase after you. During this chase you have to lead it to another one of your tames so that it looses aggro and switches target to grab on to the new creature, leaving it vulnurable for another force feeding of narcotics. This process would then continue until it reaches enough torpidity to be tranquilized. After this its just like a usual knockout tame where you simply just put carnivore food into its inventory and wait. Breeding: The protosolpuga would be breed like any other creature but would, as it is a very strong tame, have a quite long breeding interval, hatching time, and maturation time. Biome: When I started working on this creature I originally intended it to wander the wasteland between the biomes as I felt that biome was, at least compared to the others, a bit lackluster. However as I kept working on it I realised it just blatantly fit better in the desert area. Hi survivors, today I present to you the Aberrant Giant Squirrel Beginning Notes: In case you just want to skim through this here are the main points; the saddle for the Aberrant Giant Squirrel will be able to be unlocked at level 45, however it will be able to be ridden without a saddle. It has the ability to dig up items (during earthquakes) based on the zone you are in, yes it can give element, every little while. It can climb, jump, and ride ziplines. Taming is done using citronal for all of it, along with rare flowers, and narcoberries, with a special ability if no taming effectiveness has been lost to give a better stat roll after being tamed. It will be able to counter most things in Aberration, apart from Rock Drakes and Reapers, and will not be aggroed on if the creature has the size of a Carnotaurus and below. It does have a normal and a bleed attack, the normal one has a damage around a Sabertooth damage, and will have a decent attack per minute. The bleed will do the same amount of damage as the normal attack, and 1% of bleed dealt over 5 seconds, it will have around a 1.25 second cooldown between bleed attacks. It will be able to pick up creatures that are Parasaur size and under. When you kill a wild Giant Squirrel you have a chance (20%) to be rewarded with a fur cloak. This fur cloak will give your survivor 20% more speed and weight, when riding tames it will give 10% speed and melee. Finally, this mount will keep you at the perfect temperature, no matter the temperature of the environment. See below for more details! Behavior: The Aberrant Giant Squirrel is neutral unless you come really close (within 2 foundations of it). If you have citronal on your hotbar it will become passive, regardless of how close or far you are and will run when attacked. It will spawn in the blue zone and sometimes uncommonly in the green zone. In the blue zone they will spawn on the tree areas, they can be found jumping from branch to branch as a way to run away from predators when under 25% of health. When at full health it will calmly walk around, anything that is smaller than it will regret attacking it. It can take on bigger creatures with the proper environment, using its agility to gain the upper hand. Utility: The Aberrant Giant Squirrel is designed to be a way of fast transportation around Aberration without fear of dying. It has been designed to be a late early game, or an early midgame tame. Its saddle will be unlocked at level 45, however it can be ridden without a saddle. It will be able to climb up, down, side to side, and use ziplines. Since squirrels can fall from any distance and not be hurt the Aberrant Giant Squirrel won’t take fall damage. It will also be able to grab the smaller medium sized creatures with its tail. And another feature is to be able to jump high, with a mechanic similar to the Reaper, Procoptodon, and the Shadowmane, with the crosshair aimer. However, a normal space bar makes it jump up a little, and holding it will give the crosshair. When you are close to a wall and you are flying from the super jump, you will cling onto the wall. So you will have to do a tiny super jump to cling onto the wall, or aim at a wall from afar and jump to it. It has an item digging ability which allows it to dig up anything that is in an colored area that it’s in. Its tail also acts as a temperature regulator when you are riding it. LMB: Bite; Does some damage, (around Saber damage), 0.5 seconds in between each attack. RMB: Scratch; Does damage same as bite (around Saber damage) along with 1% damage of max health with a bleed, bleed takes 5 seconds to deal the damage. 1.25 seconds between attacks. Bleed will stack up to 20 seconds. C Attack: Pick up small to smaller medium creatures with its tail, (max being a Parasaur) Hold C to get a crosshair for better precision. X Attack: During an earthquake with a 5 minute cooldown, depending on which area you are in, the Giant Aberrant Squirrel will dig up items according to that area. So the stuff you find in the green zone, you get from digging in the green zone. The stuff you find in the blue zone you get for digging in the blue zone, with a 0.05% chance to get element in lower quantity (lower being like 50). The stuff you find in the red zone you get for digging in the red zone, with a 1% chance to get element in decent quantity (decent being like 75). Passive Abilities: Utilizing its claws for riding and tail for balance the squirrel can go on a zipline. Can grab smaller medium creatures with its tail, max being a Parasaur. Carnotaurus size and below won’t aggro, anything bigger will. When riding you will always be at perfect temperature, because of how a real world squirrel uses its tail to stay cool. When killed with a 20% chance (only wild) it will drop a special fur cloak. That acts like a skin (this will go in the chestpiece slot) and when equipped shows a fur robe , this will give you 20% more weight and speed for your survivor, and 10% speed and melee for your tames. Taming: To tame this creature you must have citronal on your 0 slot on your hotbar, making it passive no matter how close you are to it, you will passive feed it citronal until it hits 30% taming. Once at 30% taming you will have to knock it out, passively, by feeding it citronal infused with narcoberries (this would be done by having the citronal in your 0 slot, and your narcoberries in your 9 slot.) You can just feed it narcoberries, but when you feed it with both, you can regain lost taming effectiveness, however when fed with both at max effectiveness, gives a better roll for stats when tamed. Good roll in stats would mean that the oxygen and food wouldn’t get unwanted points, they would all most likely go into melee, weight, stamina, and health. This ability will only work if it has not lost any taming effectiveness, this will not work if you feed it to get the taming effectiveness back to max. When you feed the squirrel with E you would feed it one of each item. Once knocked out it needs to have citronal and rare flowers put in its inventory to tame. Wild: The Ratufa Sciuridae is cunning and strong. The molten element makes it bigger and bioluminescent. With its amazing features allowing itself to regulate its body temperature, along with the ability to jump practically anywhere. It outsmarts predators using its strong legs along with its claws to slowly weaken anything hurting it. This beastie thrives in the blue region of this strange nightmare. Hunting these furry fellows will reward you with its fur coat. When wearing this particular fur robe however, it seems to empower your legs so that you can go faster and carry more, and makes your tames more eager to hunt and destroy along with giving them the ability to slightly edge past opponents when running. Domesticated: Once tamed using a variety of methods, all strangely using citronal, you will have the power to travel anywhere on the Ratufa Sciuridae. With its leap out-powering most other creatures it can be a useful friend to have especially when needing to avoid an all-out combat. It seems to slaughter anything that you come across, only it doesn’t have the power to rival the apex predator of this ARK. Nonetheless, its tail provides warmth, and when needed it can cool you off too. The last thing to be noted about this master of the trees, is how during an earthquake, it can give you those items found in the area it's in, simply by digging a hole and giving you the items. Name: Styletoctopus Species: Styletoctopus annae TIme: Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Almost indistinguishable from the corals beneath it, Styletoctopus usually lies between the flora of the varios Lakes in the Bioluminesence. Unseen by almost all Lifeforms due to its amazing camouflage Ability, making its usually glass clear Skin appear the same Texture as the groung below it. Only moving when prey is swimming within its reach. Taming: When a Survivor gets grabbed by Styletoctopus's tentacles, they will try to consume their victim immediately. As they quickly get closer to the beak of this Creature, the need to struggle will grow rapitly. The only chance at that point is to heavily injure its softer vulnerable parts. Making Styletoctopus flee and seemingly vanish into the terrain itself. Some Survivors have even tried to force feed the Octopus live Lamprey, while in the process of being eaten alive. While this is very dangerous for the limited time you have left at that point, seems to surprisingly work to slowly gain its trust and escape a gruesome death. Domesticated: Styletoctopus is seemingly one of the most versatile mounts for traversing these giant caverns. Being able to safely travel, unseen by most predators, thanks to its camouflage Ability. Its a fast swimmer and a capable underwater hunter. It enjoys cracking open any crustacean it can find. Making it perfect for hunting down Karkinos and harvesting an amazing amount of Polymer and Chitin at the same time. Even capable of going onto land to hunt, for up to an hour at times. Though very slow on Land it only needs to enter water for a couple of seconds to restore their limited time. It can even slowly climb vertical surfaces aswell as easily fits into columns and holes it proportionatly should'nt even fit in. In combat Styletoctopus will try to overwhelm its opponent by holding down or grounding them and slowly whittling down they're health until eventual collapse. Survivors have used this Ability to let this Giant Octpus hold onto they're bigger mounts, to better move Styletoctopus around. When their mount falls of cliffs or into pits Styletoctopus will try to shield the Creature from the incoming fall damage and has even been seen slowly carrying they're mounts up the cliffs where they have fallen of. Concept of a Styletoctopus clinging to a tamed Rex mount: Potential Moveset: Styletoctopus could be able to turn in place Primary Attack (Left Click): Directional Singular Tentacle Attack Secondary Attack (Right Click): Grab for small creatures, that will get sqeezed to death, slowly doing more and more damage Heavy Attack (C): Grab with its whole Body, clinging onto bigger Creatures slowly scrapping of their health with no way of getting them off until their death Feel free to share your critiques or new ideas!
  4. I Introduce the Labyrinthodontia, it will be a super amphibian made for Aberration. Common Name: Labyrinthodontia. Species: Labyrinthodontia Megalis. Time: Late Paleozoic Diet: Carnivorous/Piscivorous. Temperament: Aggressive. Concepts: (To Know about Labyrinthodontia) The core unique ability for Labyrinthodontia will be a useful sticky slime ability, with its slime it can use it to shoot it at opponents or lay it on the ground working similarly to a bear trap to immobilize things for a little period of time. (I was thinking either 20 or 30 seconds for the time duration) if you have tools you can break free from it faster or help break out other things faster too. Its sticky slime can also allow it to use to climb and scale surfaces when in its sticky mode. The slime grants it an ecological bonus to stay resistant to gas, basilisk poison, reaper acid and radiation. I was thinking too that since it’s an amphibian it will have a multiple stage lifecycle, and they have to breed in water too, the stages consist of a tadpole at juvenile and half tadpole and half adult for adolescent and then adult. And I thought it would be fun if they were sexually dimorphic like shadowmanes. Taming: the taming I wanted to make interesting. So basically you need to get a pheromone gland from a female Labyrinthodontia and use it to make them passive on you, and I decided to make the feeding options flexible, once in the passive state you can approach them and feed them Quality fish baskets, Large Fertilized Eggs, or a Reaper baby for an instant tame Maybe (if they decide to add that) the gland effects last for 5 mins and also you get two from each one you harvest one from. To tell if they’re ready to be fed again their fins on their heads will perk but if not hungry yet they’ll stay in default position. Tamed: Congrats when taming this things. I was thinking it would have a multi-seated saddle for good transport. The slime should make for good exploring and good offense. The reaper buff should make it formidable, and also being an apex predator should help you big time with having a good strong creature on your side. also was thinking it would be cool if it got a buff when consuming reaper pheromones of a nice buff. Dossier: wild- It’s no longer a surprise to see a regular creature taken to an extreme, at least not for me, it’s just sort of the norm now. These super amphibians love and inhabit the rivers, lakes, swamps and the bioluminescent biome. They stand at the top of the food chain and don’t have a nice temperament! I’ve seen them use a slime to hunt and immortalize their prey and to keep themselves safe. Unfortunately it’s hard to observe these buggers because they always want to snack on something. Domesticated- I was not wrong with calling them super amphibians! What’s even more crazy are those brave enough to tame them. Taming is interesting Labyrinthodontia glands apparently sooth their temperament and allow for approaching. They have a nack for large fertilized eggs, quality fish baskets and especially reaper spawn those help them to tame in an instant! These creatures have an interesting and useful sticky slime they use like I observed them using in the wild. They can use this slime to immobilize things to shooting things with it or pouring it on the ground like a trap, it also grants them protection from gas, basilisk poison, reaper acid and radiation. They also gain a significant buff when they consume reaper pheromones too. so that all for this creature I hope you guys like it, it was a ton of fun making this creature have a good day fellow Survivors. Also my apologies if the it isn’t that super good.
  5. The giant sea turtle! Archelon is immune to jellyfish and electric eels, and can build up speed as it swims. It also halves the weight of all items in its inventory, and can be found on tropical beaches where it nests, or shallow waters where it glides through the sea!
