Cameroceras: A Glowing Multi-Purpose Orthocone
Scout555 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Species: Cameroceras Thalassapyro Time: Middle Ordivician Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Many survivors including myself have noted the extreme depth of the ocean on this Ark, apparently the western side of the ocean has no end but I seriously doubt if this is true. Many prehistoric marine life dwell in the strange abyss but one of them is significantly more flashier (fishier?) than the others, Cameroceras Thalassapyro. In a lot of ways it is similar to Tusoteuthis Vampyrus in that they are both cephalopods capable of spraying ink but that's where the similarities end for me at least. For one Cameroceras is much smaller that Tusoteuthis (I'd posit around the size of a Dunkleosteus) and well it glows and not just that, it's ink glows. Cameroceras ink seems to have many different properties depending on which colour the Cameroceras decides to glow and it can fire the ink in multiple different ways, either in a single big cloud similar to Tusoteuthis or multiple small bursts it can fire from a distance. Domesticated A tamed Cameroceras can prove to be one of the most useful underwater creatures to have at your (tribe's) disposal. Its large cone-like shell can be used as a big spear to just simply skewer other creatures but that's rarely why survivors tame them. The main reason Cameroceras Thalassapyro is tamed is due to its glowing ink that changes its properties depending on its colour, from what I have seen there are three "modes" Cameroceras can go into "heal" (green), "damage" (red), and "freeze (or just stun)" (cyan). What the ink does in these modes is pretty self-explanatory but as stated before Cameroceras can fire the ink in multiple ways either in a single large cloud or multiple small bursts that can be fired from a distance but I should warn you, Cameroceras is not an infinite well of ink, if too much ink is expelled it will have no ink in its body and will have to speed up its metabolism to make more ink, in non-biologist words when Cameroceras runs out of ink it gets incredibly hungry so make sure you brought a lot of snacks during your dives with this thing. Mechanics Cameroceras is the multi-purpose aquatic creature capable of stunning, dealing damage, and even healing things and its all because of its fancy glowing ink! Cameroceras' basic attacks include a bite and weird cone slam, similar to the Woolly Rhino you can turn this cone slam into a powerful charge attack though not as powerful as the Wooly Rhino's charge attack. Cameroceras can expel ink the same way in all of its modes either in single devastating cloud like the Tusoteuthis or it can fire pellets of the ink from a distance similar to a tek saddle. The three modes are heal (green), damage (red), and freeze (or stun) (cyan). Heal mode heals things that come in contact with the ink, Damage mode, get this, damages things that come in contact with the ink crazy right?, and lastly freeze mode stuns things that come in contact with the ink. Stun mode in particular deserves a somewhat deeper look, the ink bullets don't immediately stun enemies but only after many, many shots. The Single Ink Cloud does instantly stun enemies however. Cameroceras has a unique ink stat, this stat determines how much ink it can expel, when theres no more ink Cameroceras gets a status effect that increases ink replenishing however also making it's hunger drain a bit more. Taming Oops I forgot to add how you tame this thing, uuhhh you let it eat some honey i guess. -
scary boi Guanlong Wucaii: The lizard of terrifying sounds (again)
ZapPoto posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Ok, you might be wondering why it says "again" in the title, I had thought of suggesting another creature, however, looking at the aberration context, I strongly believe that this is a very good concept for this map, and would fit quite well in its gameplay (in my opinion) "let's do this one last time" Guanlong Wucaii is a species of dinosaur that lived at the end of the Jurassic period, approximately 156 million years ago, in Asia. Its name means "Crown Dragon" due to the crest on its head, This was one of the first species of Tyrannosaurus, unlike this one, it had three fingers on its front legs instead of the two already known from the rex. From its hind legs you can see that it was a fairly fast and agile predator. Before we talk about its abilities, I'd like to highlight a couple of basic things I'd like this creature to have: -Its base Health is similar to that of a Thyla -Low weight: it is a light and fast animal, it cannot carry so much weight. -His skills use a lot of energy -It has a moderate base attack, but makes up for it with a 5 second duration bleed, which doesn't stack, but does reset after each attack. -is one of the fastest creatures on the Ark WILD: The creature will appear in the wild in groups of 3, which, like Raptor or Deinonychus, will have an alpha which will be the highest level Guanlong. When Guanlong detects a player, two things can happen, first: If guanlong is not in the player's field of vision, it will imitate a random roar of the strongest creatures on the island such as Rex, Carcha or Giga, in the case of being in the player's field of vision, Guanlong will begin to attack the player directly. Domestication: To tame a Guanlong, you must avoid being detected by it, be it with a camouflage suit or a hot soup, then you must separate it from its group, either killing them or distracting them, having him far enough away from his group, you must feed him rotten meat, which will raise his unconsciousness until he sleeps, after that just feed it meat until it is tamed. Tamed: He has a pack roar, when using it he receives 15% speed and 25% attack, it lasts about 100 seconds, but has a 30 second cooldown. Guanlong can emit high and low frequency sounds, it can even imitate animal sounds, the latter can be used to intimidate or annoy survivors with terrifying roars, or to specifically attract large creatures, such as Carcharodontosaurus or Yutyrannus, which will target Guanlong and start chasing him, which is perfect for putting creatures into traps or making it possible for another player to shoot at it from another side. High and low frequency sounds can make a big difference in PVP or PVE, as they will stun large and small creatures for a short amount of time, depending on the animal that you want to stun, you must raise or lower the sound frequency, the bigger the animal, the less stun time it will have, for example, a Giga would be stunned for 2.5 to 3 seconds, a Titanosaur might be stunned for 2 seconds, a Raptor for 9 seconds and a Dodo for 15 seconds (although I don't know why you would attack a Dodo), obviously this ability will have a cooldown of 20-30 seconds. Guanlong can also buff his allies using his ability, giving them 30% more stamina for 12 seconds. but then you may wonder: What happens if we put many guanlongs in a row? During the cooling time a player could get off one, and get on another... but the solution I came up with is the following: if there are more than 3 Guanlongs in an area (I didn't think of a specific radius), and one uses its sound ability, the rest of the Guanlongs will be stunned for twice as long as the stunned enemy creature, if there are only 3 guanlongs in the area, and one is on cooldown, when you get on another and use its ability, it will stun the enemy for 25% less time, in addition to depleting three times the stamina of the Guanlong used. Here a dossier that I had done a while ago sorry for my bad english...again -

Name: Saichania Species: Saichania chulsanensis Temperament: Neutral Tameable: Yes Diet: Herbivorous Description: The Saichania has very thick skin that even polymer rifle bullets can't get through, it's the distant cousin of the Ankylosaurus but unlike its farming cousin, it's more for defense against most projectiles in ark. Ability: When Saichania's ability is activated, its spines start to grow and start to glow causing it to take a buff of 80% less damage from projectiles only and also reflecting projectiles back to their source and is also immune to net if his ability is active, but if it is not active the network will be able to paralyze him Ability 2: It begins to spin its tail for 2 or 3 seconds and when it hits it stuns the Dino, how the forward charge of the trike Requirements to activate your first ability: In order to use the Saichania's first ability, you need to have beer in your inventory. Taming method: In order to put Saichania to sleep, you need to use cannonballs or catapult ammunition and eat vegetable cake. Extra Information: Saichania's first ability can return any ammo that exists in the ark except nets, catapult ammo, ballista ammo, rocket launcher missiles, fire arrows, cannonballs, and harpoon ammo. Projectiles that the Saichania reflects will return to their point of origin with a small exception for turrets and tek turrets, if a turret is firing at the Saichania its bullet will bounce back to the player in sight or a dinosaur but it will be missed. will give the player more priority than an enemy dinosaur. And its mount, I thought it would be a good idea for it to be under the Saichania as if it were the gacha mount or also to be on one side of the Dino like the amargasaurus mount but with a reinforced cabin just like the andrewsarchus mount.

Palaeosaniwa Canadensis, the 4 meter carnivorous monitor lizard
Snow25 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
So my idea is for a giant prehistoric lizard, the Palaeosaniwa Canadensis. They measure from 3-4 meters in length (about 12 feet). Taming: I was thinking it could be similar to the shadowmane taming method, except instead of fish, it uses titanomyra. There could be a new item similar to the fish basket, a bug net or something. once the bugs are collected, you release them and the lizard will grab them with it's tongue like a chameleon does. Ghillie mist be worn to tame, or it will try to eat you. Wild: They will be aggressive, and are able to jab you with their tongue, which will do a small stun. Tamed: Rideable, players riding will be able to do the tongue stun, as well as a tongue grab similar to a bloodstalker. They will be fantastic chitin gatherers, and will have a buff while near bugs. They will also be able to climb on walls and ceilings. The Palaeosaniwa will be able to turn chitin into a very strong venom. You will be able to collect venom from them periodically as long as chitin is in their inventory, the venom has tranquilizing properties and can act as a powerful narcotic. You can also consume the venom, and it will have a great positive effect on you, removing all debuffs for 90 seconds, and all creatures that eat you in those 90 seconds, wild or tamed, will be poisoned for 15-25% of their health. After the 90 seconds, you will fully torp out and be unconscious for a bit. -
tek saddle Brontotherium - The Beast of Thunder!
FutureBug96 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Creature info: Brontotherium is a huge rhino-like animal (it's biologically closer to horses) larger than woolly rhino, but smaller than mammoth. It's a late game herbivore made for destroying things, tanking hits and transporting heavy materials. It's also has 2 types of running: Normal run - around the speed of unridden rhino. Charging mode - builds momentum just like ridden rhino, creates a very loud running sound, makes brontotherium unstoppable by rocks, trees and even creatures (that are not immune to knockback). Gives armor piercing to it's attack. It also can instantly destroy stone tier structures, but can't damage higher tiers. Attacks: LMB: Head bump - deals around 50 damage. RMB: Quick rotation - makes brontotherium able to perform quick 180 degree rotation (just like the real world rhinos). C key: switches brontotherium run into charging mode. Ctrl key: Roar - can be used when running, gives a weight reduction and gathering boost to allies. Abilities: PvP oriented: Brontotherium is immune to any form of stun and can't be net when charging. It's also very hard skinned so bullets deal 50% less damage to it. It's also impossible to knock out because of torpor immunity. Can instantly destroy stone tier structures (and lower). Is immune to shadowmane poison. Lightning wyvern's lighning attack deals 50% less damage to it. Due to it's ability to rotate 180 degree (even when charging, however it loses all momentum when doing that) and being immune to stunning and poison, it can counter shadowmane's attacks. It can also have a TEK Saddle with power batteries. When brontotherium is charging (running) it charges the batteries (they use element as a fuel) and when it reaches full momentum it can use LMB attack to release a super charged blast. This super attack destorys every rock and tree around brontotherium and stuns for 5 seconds everything that was hit by the blast. It can also shut down Stryders, TEK generators and everything that requires electricity to run. To recharge the battery, brontotherium just needs to build maximum momentum again. PvE oriented: Brontotherium has a very good weight stat, making it viable as a transportation mount. It's not only fast, but also possesses a 50% weight reduction on some heavy resources (metal, stone, crystal, scrap metal, all the gem types and black pearls). It's very tanky and quite hard hitting creature, so it can be used to hunt alphas and even fight bosses! It's saddle has an armor plating look, to appear more badass. Roar can be used to give a 30 seconds buff that boosts weight reduction on allied dinos (for example argentavis can get +15% reduction on resources, giving in total 65% reduction on metal, crystal etc.). It will also boost the amount of resources that creatures can gather by 15%. Due to it's specialized lips, brontotherium can be enabled to wander around and gather very specific resources from bushes (like rare mushroom, flowers, silk, and even crops! Taming: To tame this massive beast, survivor needs to find it's baby in the wild (they do not grow up until tamed) and separate it from it's parent(s), as baby can only be tamed when it's alone. To tame the baby, survivor needs to protect it from predators, and anything that scares it. Occasionally baby will want some herbivore food (specific berry, crop, sap, or even veggie cake). The taming bar will progress each time a baby is defended and fed. When tamed, baby will start to grow up (it can't be imprinted) until it becomes an adult and can fainally be ridden! I am not the author of any of the images. Feel free to post your ideas/dossier ideas about this creature in the comment.-
