  1. Chunkingosaurus was a small stegosaurid originating in China. In game chunkingosaurus will be found in the forests on extinction attacking those who get to close to it with its powerful tail. Whatever gets close to it will feel the might of chunkingosaurus dealing massive amounts of damage, chunkingosaurus will have higher attack than kentrosaurus but lower health than it, it is rideable, its saddle unlocks at level 42, it has 2 attacks, its first is a bite, and its second is a tail whip that deals massive damage, while the bite is weaker. In order to tame it, it is a passive tame, who eats either rare mushroom, rare flower or azulberry. You approach, crouching slowly to its face than you feed it , if not, the chunkingosaurus will agro on you, once tamed its can gather berries, wood and thatch. When low health in battle chunkingosaurus will start to spin at high velocity running away and dealing 12 times the damage, after getting a kill the chunkingosaurus will dance. Once tamed chunkingosaurus will eat any kind of berry. He also has a high weight capacity. Chunkingosaurus will get a 800 second attack boost after killing a therapod. Also the saddle can also carry water. After you kill a chunkingosaurus you will get keratin, chintin, raw meat, and raw prime meat. Chunkingosaurus also has a ability called drought protection which allows chunkingosaurus to go without food or water for longer times. I hope you like the idea of chunkingosaurus, I picked this creature because the game has a lack of stegosaurids.
  2. Species: Chaoyangsaurus🦎 Time: Late Jurassic🌤️ Diet: Herbivore🌿 Temperament: Passive defender🕶️ 💚Wild🦎 Chaoyangsaurus in the wild is a lively, social creature often traveling together with other passive creatures. They are friendly enough to come right up to you and look you over before venturing off to explore its surroundings. Enjoying warmer temperatures and lower climates with lush fauna or shrubs. Being no stranger to the aquatic life you can also find them in the swamplands. The Chaoyangsaurus is also fiercely loyal, and while it won't outwardly attack you, it will always rush to the defense of the passive creatures around it that are under attack, so be careful when hunting where these quick loyal defenders roam with other creatures. 💚Domesticate🦎 Chaoyangsaurus is a very curious and friendly creature that loves visual stimulation If you can lead one to your home it will often times settle right in with you. While not large enough to ride, the Domesticated Chaoyangsaurus makes for an excellent companion retaining their fierce loyalty and helping you in your day to day activities. Once a harness is crafted for them they are more than happy to hold your food and narcotics for you, and will even help you feed your tames in surrounding area! 💚Behavior🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is a passive, friendly animal that is full of curiosity, often running up to new creatures that come into its path. Though they will never strike first once they or a fellow creature is in danger they will rush to the defense of others. 💚Passive Tame🦎 Chaoyangsaurus enjoys visual stimulation above all. Feed it it's favorite treat of a rare flower and it will follow you for a time. Leading it through your base, or other structures you have built will slowly tame it, the more advanced your build is, the faster it will tame, and the more different things for it to examine will raise it's efficiency. 💚Combat🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is far from a fighter, but better than nothing. They will attempt a sweeping tale attack to knock back smaller creatures. While this attack is indeed weak it will not effect taming effectiveness of an unconscious creature. 💚Utility🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is a early to mid game companion creature. Larger than your shoulder friends, but smaller than a raptor these fast creatures strive to be your best friend! If you fall unconscious they will try to wake you with gentle nudges. Once you build the harness for the Chaoyangsaurus They have a high carrying capacity for Berries🍇, meats🥩 and narcotics🐍. They can also be strapped onto other tames that have saddles, although they will need your help to detach from them. They will work as feeding troughs for your tames, automatically feeding them the most beneficial food and narcotics to nearby unconscious creatures, but will have no effect on passive tames. The harness can also be used as a mobile mortar and pestle. 💚Extras🦎 Chaoyang is not only a curious and intelligent creature but an obedient one, able to learn commands such as sit, or laydown, or play dead.🦎
  3. Welcome to my creature submission! I thought that for Extinction, we should vote for the feathered Arizonasaurus! Common name: Arizonasaurus Species: Arizonasaurus pudicitia Time: Middle Triassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Timid(Aggressive to corrupted creatures) Wild: I’m certain that the corruption would have long destroyed Earth if Arizonasaurus pudicitia wasn’t around. This feathered ctenosauriscid seems to have a hatred for the corruption to a point where these normally timid critters would chase down any corrupted creatures and even do increased damage to the corrupted. This is interesting since normally they run at the first sign of danger. Tamed:When tamed, Arizonasaurus is a incredible ally towards those that explore the wastelands. It’s corrupted sail on it’s back can protect the riders from the wasteland’s effects and gets a buff when killing corrupted creatures similar to the megatherium. Once you befriend this fluffy croc by passively feeding in meat while it sniffs something shiny, you would not have to worry about traveling the wastelands anymore. So what I propose what the Arizonasaurus could do is that when you ride it, you would be immune to the wasteland’s debuff for the rider as well as bleed and freezing for your Allies I’m a small to medium range. It could also have a smithy saddle, get a buff when it kills a corrupted creature that increases it’s healing and attack strength by 2x, and it would be a woolly rhino sized early game mount learning the saddle at level 28 as well as being able to make it easy for early game travel to the biome domes. Taming: To tame the Arizonasaurus, you have to throw a stack of metal ingots ( It’s preferred to split a stack of metal ingots by one) then you passively feed it meat while it sniffs the metal ingot. It’s recommended to use ghili to get close and to put up any nearby tames so that you don’t spook it. It’s favorite food are corrupted nodules but raw mutton and raw prime meat work as well. Left Click: A standard bite that you can do while you are running. Right Click: A shoulder bash attach that can’t be done while moving and does knock back C:A claw slash that can harvest silica and black pearls X: A tail spin attack that does 360 degree damage and could do bleed but can’t be spammed Control: a roar for aesthetics In conclusion, I think the Arizonasaurus would be the perfect addition to the map and I hope this at least gets into the finals. If someone could make a dossier and creature design, you will be credited. Let’s get Arizonasaurus into Extinction!
  4. Hello, Ark Community. This is my first creature submission, based on the Ledumahadi from the Scorched vote, so credit to Jade_317 for inspiration. IF you have feedback or suggestions, please feel free to share them so I can perfect this submission. Im currently working on typing out a mock up dossier, so i will update this in a few days with one. In the Wild: Lessemsaurus can be found spawning out in the wastelands of Extinction. They spawn in herds together ranging from three to five members. They will slowly wander all throughout the wastes in search of large patches of what grass is left. While leaving herbivores alone, they will ruthlessly attack any carnivore or corrupted creature that gets near them, including your tames. Appearance: Size wise, the Lessemsaurus was not much taller than a human, but could be upsized in Ark to roughly the size of a stego, maybe a bit larger. It would also have more pronounced claws than its prehistoric counterpart to reflect its more hostile nature. To add cool corrupted elements to them, corruption could be running down their neck and stomach, with growths around their front legs as well. Saddle: The Lessemsaurus would have a unique saddle, reinforcing its claws with meta and adding metal plating along its neck, as well as saddlebags on its sides. With a saddle equipped, their claw attack would be able to do even more damage, as well as acting as good harvesting tools, with the saddle having a durability to balance it out. With the saddlebags, they will have an additional 25% weight reduction to wood and stone. Gathering: The Lessemsaurus would be able to gather wood, crystalized sap, gems, corrupt nodules, meat, and hide with its claw attack, being at bare minimum as effective as metal tools. It would also be able to gather stone, gems, crystal, and metal with its neck swipe, also being at bare minimum as effective as a metal pick. Taming: As hostile as the Lessemsaurus may seem, taming them is not too hard as long as you have the right supplies. To tame a Lessemsaurus, you need to stealthily and feed it re-fretilizer. THis will cause the Lessemsaurus to regurgitate a spoiled meat slurry in its stomach. You may now passively feed it crops, with veggie cake. A warning though, as its rotten vomit will attract carnivores to the area, which you will have to protect them from. Once one member of the herd is tamed, it would cost more resources to tame each other member, scaling with how many have been tamed. Abilities: Meat Consumption: As the Lessemsaurus was an herbivore in reality, it had only adapted to eating plants. Since the wastelands of Extinction dont have enough vegetation to support such large creatures on its own, they have adapted further. The Lessemsaurus of extinction are able to eat meat like a carnivore could, but have to swallow stones with the meat in order to pro[erly digest it. Even then, not all of it will digest, leaving behind a rotten meat paste that can be taken from its inventory and used as a more effective base for narcotics. Regurgitate: If a Lessemsaurus has rotten meat slurry in its inventory, you will be able to make it regurgitate it, acting like a lure similar to honey for carnivores. It would be used to bait traps for dangerous foes, or as a brief distraction during OSDs. Gallop: The Lessemsaurus would be able to have a charging run while on all fours, starting off slow and picking up speed the longer it runs, similar to the andrewsarchus, able to traverse the wastelands fast while having a good weight. Herd Buff: Similar to the buff that swarms of companies get, Lessemsaurus will gain a buff for each member in its herd, stacking up to a total of 5 members. For each member of the herd, the Lessemsaurus will get a bonus in attack speed, maxing out at an additional 50%, and increased damage, maxing out at close to double. Neck Swipe: The Lessemsaurus will swing its neck at its foes like a club, doing decent damage and a good bit of knockback, though having a slow attack speed with it. This attack is also able to break and harvest stone and crystals. Stance change: Like the Spinosaurus, the Lessemsaurus can rear up on its hind legs, Unlike the Spino, it can not stay on its hind legs for long before returning to all fours. IT is also much slower on its hind legs, only able to slowly lumber forward while in its special stance. Claw swipe: While reared up on its hind legs, the Lessemsaurus will be able to swipe at creatures with the small yet sharp claws on its front legs. While not doing as much damage as the neck swipe, it will be able to attack faster with its claws. Ultimate attack: While using its claw attack, the Lessemsaurus will build up a special meter like the shadowmane. When the meter fills up, it will be able to launch its special attack, using its claws and weight to bring its claws down the sides of its foe, dealing loads of damage and forcing it out of its special stance. If the stance ends before the bar fills or before the ultimate is used, the bar will reset to zero upon returning to all fours. Utilities: I had two things in mind while working on this concept. One was that this creature could be a faster moving resource gatherer, while not being as good a gatherer as a more dedicated one, while also being able to carry a decent bit of resources and collect ones unique to Extinction. The other thing this creature was built to do was to be a good creature to use for OSDs, given its general tankiness as a large-ish creature and damage buffs and capabilities. 5. Disclaimer: I am no artist so visual representation won't be super great, but hopefully my written descriptions will suffice! Also The species might not fit the time period qualifications for submission, but it does not need to be this ant species specifically. But in my head since this is extinction I figured the element corruption grew an ant on earth to a massive size, if that is not acceptable then just imagine it is a cousin species of the titanomyrma that underwent the same corruption process! Specific species isn't super important to me, I just think a ride-able ant in ark would be dope! Wild Spawn The Dinoponera Matriavastus is a creature you will never find on it's own. Because of this, they benefit from a pack bonus that gives a substantial damage reduction buff. When killed the Dinoponera drops a large amount of chitin and a small amount of meat. The Dinoponera workers spawn in the vicinity of a nest, which looks like a man sized anthill sticking out of the ground. Inside the nest is the Dinoponera queen, who will occasionally leave the nest to wander before returning into the tunnels. The Dinoponera is not aggressive to humans unless they get close to the nest and the queen. They share the same temperament to wild creatures except small creatures like dodos, lystros, etc, and they will consume corpses. Because the Dinoponera reproduces asexually, the species only contains females and all of the workers will be an identical level to their queen, so if you see mis-matched levels of workers it means another nest is nearby. The nest will act as a structure and is destroyable, when destroyed it forces the queen out and aggros her and all of the workers. Once the nest is destroyed all Dinoponera will stop spawning in the area and any existing Dinoponera will slowly despawn when out of render, so you can clear nests in the hopes of finding a higher level nest nearby in the future. Taming You first have to reach the nest without being detected by the workers. The queen can be coaxed out of the nest by dropping honey just outside of the nest, or you can wait for her to naturally emerge. Once the queen is out of the nest you must feed her bug repellent without drawing aggression. This will cause her to lose health quickly until she dies. Killing the queen this way will not aggro the workers. Once the queen is dead, access her inventory and remove her pheromone. Then apply the pheromone to yourself. If you currently are affected by bug repellent yourself, you must wait for the effects to wear off. Be careful of how long you wait, as the pheromone will spoil within a few minutes outside of her inventory. When you are affected by the pheromone, if you are attacked by any creature, nearby workers will come to your aid. This could help save your life, or get the workers killed by accident, so watch your surroundings. Once covered in the pheromone, approach a worker and it will give you a request for some kind of resource. It could be a basic material or a basic food, ie wood, stone, berries, raw meat, etc... Put this item in your last inventory slot and give it to the worker. The more of that item you have in a stack, the more tame progress will be made. So giving it a full stack of 100 wood will give it more tame progress than giving it a stack of 5. Continue filling the requests of the worker until the tame is complete and you have a Dinoponera! You can technically tame as many Dinoponera as there are in the area, but because you only have 30 minutes of pheromone you have to manage your time properly. Once the pheromone wears off, any wild Dinoponera in the area will instantly aggro on you. Breeding Unfortunately since you cannot tame the queen they would not breedable. But I have been debating whether or not they should be. Maybe a decent idea would be the ability to feed a worker certain items and it will transform into a queen, giving you the ability to have one that lays eggs. Possibly feeding a worker 1-5 queen pheromones will turn it into a queen? I'm still split on this part simply because I love breeding and getting mutations. Saddle Upon reaching level 35 you unlock the Dinoponera saddle, which is crafted in the smithy and costs: metal, hide, fiber, and chitin/keratin. This saddle would provide the usual 25 armor and visually would have slight armor plating and saddlebags all over it. It's saddle acts as a crafter, but not a smithy or mortar+pestle. This saddle is able to craft unlocked primitive engrams that would normally need to be crafted in your inventory. So primitive structures, certain saddles, and much more could be crafted on the move without the need for a blueprint. Utility Weight Reduction Once tamed, it is an exceptional beast of burden, capable of reducing the carry weight of wood, thatch, fiber, hide by -40% while reducing the carry weight of stone, metal, flint, obsidian, crystal by -35%! On top of that it reduces the carry weight of all structures by -50%! This makes it extremely useful when moving large quantities of supplies or setting up/moving to a new base location. It can gather wood, thatch, meat, hide, berries, and fiber, albeit at a relatively inefficient rate. Not the best for gathering, but will do in a pinch. Traversal & Mandibles It is able to climb walls and uneven terrain fairly quickly. Pressing the crouch key while riding a Dinoponera allows you to use it's mandibles to pick up certain things. It is capable of picking up and carrying storage boxes, similar to how the rhynio can carry structures. But the Dinoponera can only carry small storage boxes, large storage boxes, and vaults (vaults will act as a drag that I will talk about shortly). It's mandibles are also able to pick up and carry creatures. Anything with a drag weight of 100 or below can be picked up and carried. Not only that, but creatures that fit the weight can also be picked up and carried if they are dead or unconscious! The Dinoponera is also capable of dragging creatures with a drag weight of 101-300! The drag is quite different from the carry. With dragging, the Dinoponera can move heavier objects, but because of the weight, must focus all of it's strength moving it. Therefore when dragging heavier creatures and metal vaults, the Dinoponera can only walk backwards. But have no fear! The Dinoponera is capable of climbing up surfaces backwards, so you can still drag that unconscious Ankylo up a cliff! This can be quite useful to move knocked out creatures to a safer area for taming. It also has use as the ability can drag corpses, making you able to bring a corpse to a tame with better gathering efficiency or even transporting bodies to assist in Carchar taming! Although you would still need to drag the body closer to the Carchar yourself, the Dinoponera can move the corpse quickly from a further distance. Dinoponera Nectar Lastly, when 1 honey and 20 berries are placed into the inventory of a Dinoponera, it will convert the honey into a sweet and nutritious nectar that will provide +40 food as well as a 15% bonus to movement speed, stamina, and stamina regeneration for 15 minutes! The Dinoponera love this nectar and it can be fed to them as well, doubling the effectiveness of the nectar but for only half the time.
  6. Common Name : Hatzegopteryx Name : Hatzegopteryx Thaambema Diet : Carnivore Temperament : Aggressive Wild : Hatzegopteryx has claimed the tittle as Ark's "Titan of the sky" , it being the size of a Giganotosaurus . They live solitary lives and are very territorial , attacking any creature it sees . Tamed : If you manage to tame one of these titans you're in luck , because you just befriended a "flying tank" . That can cause great damage and pick up creatures as large as an Amargosaurus . Note , if it senses that is in danger it will retaliate . If you manage to make a saddle for it , you managed to turn a flying tank into a bomber . Tame : Feed it tamed creatures Ridable : Without a saddle Saddle : unlocked at level 95 (allows you to drop bombs bellow you)
  7. This is Mamenchisaurus, Extinction’s last bastion against the corruption. This powerful creature is one of the strongest tames known, rivaling even the Giga and Charchar in terms of use. Let’s get into her, shall we? Design In real life, the Mamenchisaurus was a large sauropod found in Jurassic China. They had few predators due to their size, and had one of the longest necks known among dinosaurs. On Extinction, they boast a coat of protofeathers on their backs and tails, as well as the element-infused underside shared by Velonasaurs and Managarmr. When empowered by eating a corrupted heart, the spines along its back will glow blue, much like the “good” element color on its and most Extinction creature’s underbellies. Dossier “Common Name: Mamenchi Species: Mamenchisaurus Interfectorem Corruptionis Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Herbivorous Temperament: Defensive” Wild ”The wild and unnatural wastes of Earth are oftentimes too much for any creature, much less any herbivores. and yet? the righteous and gigantic Mamenchisaurus stands tall against the waves of opposition. These huge sauropods use their weight and mighty tails to combat the hordes of corrupted creatures in the wastes, sometimes even fighting Titans and winning! They make a unique use of corrupted nodes and hearts they pick up, turning the former into a tame-enhancing applicant, and the latter into sheer elemental power, the beast being near unstoppable when under its effects.” Domesticated “While not exactly easy to tame, Mamenchisaurus offer immense utility to anyone who can wield its power. It’s among the only creatures I’ve seen fight those Titans and hold its own, meaning that, next to the MEKs, they’re arguably the best creature for taking on those abominations. Earning one’s trust, on the other hand, is a whole ‘nother beast entirely.” Ecology Mamenchisaurus are massive herbivores found wandering the Wastelands of Extinction. Despite being herbivores, they will relentlessly attack and kill hordes of Corrupted Creatures, leaving most other species alone. Due to their immense size, they are rarely, if ever, attacked by predators such as Rexes or Spinos. Taming Mamenchisaurus are tamed strangely. A Wild Juvenile must be found and interacted with to begin the process, as it will follow you after being interacted with. While it is following you, you must kill Corrupted Creatures (Or Titans if it is more convenient for larger tribes) and ensure the Juvenile’s health never drops below 50%. If it does, the Juvenile will become aggressive to you. After enough creatures are slain, the Juvenile will warm up to you and sit down, allowing it to be fed a single Corrupted Heart to tame. The larger the creature slain, the more the taming bar goes up. Abilities Mamenchisaurus offer a wide range of abilities meant to fight off the rampant corruption. For starters, the species passively deals 2x more damage to Corrupted Creatures and Titans, are near impossible to knock back from Titan attacks, and can rotate in place. Their main attack is a directional foot stomp, allowing them to hit all directions around them. Their secondary attack is a neck sweep, giving them far more range than their primary attack. Their third and strongest attack is a charged and targeted tail whip, so precise as to accurately impact corrupted points on Wild Titans and dismount riders. Lastly, Mamenchisaurus can convert Corrupted Nodules into a paste that empowers tames against corrupted creatures, and can consume Corrupted hearts to gain an even further damage boost, enough to also damage metal structures. The main drawbacks of such power is the beast’s terrible speed, high demands for food, lacking attack power against non-corrupted creatures, as well as the substantial cooldowns/recoil that all of its abilities have. Uses ~Mass Gatherer Though not its intended purpose, Mamenchisaurus’s Neck sweep can harvest trees and bushes, gathering immense amounts of wood, thatch, fiber and berries. ~Wave Defender Due to its buffs against corrupted creatures, Mamenchisaurus is a must-have for OSDs or Element Veins. The one catch is due to its large AoEs and damage, the Mamenchisaurus must be placed away from the defended position to avoid it breaking the target itself. ~Raiding/Raid Defense Due to its large health pool and size, Mamenchisaurus can somewhat effectively drain turrets of their ammo, and breaks down defenses due to being able to break Metal structures in its empowered state. On the flip side, Mamenchisaurus can effectively counter raiders using Titans due to its powerful anti-corruption abilities. ~Titan Hunting/Taming Due to its power against Titans and Corrupted Creatures, Mamenchisaurus is best used to fight these gargantuan threats. It can even be used for taming the behemoths due to its targeted tail whip attack. It can easily compete with Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus against any of the Titans, including the King Titan. The one caveat is the creature’s inability to properly attack the Desert Titan when wild, due to the Titan’s tendency to fly high out of reach of most creatures (this can be circumvented by building a large enough platform on a Quetz Platform saddle, much like how one flies a Giga up to the Titan). Notes -I submitted the Mamenchisaurus due to the lack of variety in most community votes. While many different species (some good, some bad) have made it into the top ten, the winners are mostly the large carnivores (Charchar, Fasolasuchus, Gigantoraptor) or flyers (Desmodus, Sinomacrops, Rhyniognatha) and I wanted to introduce something new. Specifically a herbivore, as the last herbivore to be introduced was the Amargasaurus on Lost Island (unless the Andrewsarchus eats berries but I don’t recall it doing so). -The Mamenchisaurus was designed as both a PvP and a PvE tame to appeal to both crowds. While it doesn’t have distinct utilities angled toward either party like the Laeallyenasaura (My last submission), it’s unique abilities make it an valuable tame for late-game Extinction, for both PvE and PvP tribes. -Mamenchisaurus was partially designed to shake up the meta, given its anti-titan abilities and its precise and powerful tail whip. -While titan-opposing dinosaurs have been proposed before, I made mine a sauropod to differentiate itself. -The Mamenchisaurus’s taming method, particularly the feeding of a Corrupted Heart, was meant to dissuade the taming of early-game. -Mamenchisaurus’s main counter would be speedy player-controlled flyers or gliders, which can easily get hits in without being struck themselves. -If targeted right, the Mamenchisaurus’s tail whip can very easily put Managarmrs or Rock Drakes out of commission, swiftly killing the beast or its rider with its immense power.
  8. Hello fellow survivors, this is my first submission to a creature vote, so if any of this formatting is weird, please bear with me. Anyway, here's my submission for the Aberration creature vote and one of my favorite herbivores, the Ouranosaurus (Art made by me). Common Name: Ouranosaurus Species: Ouranosaurus anticachemicus Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Reactive Wild Ouranosaurus anticachemicus is perhaps one of the weirdest herbivores I've seen on the Arks, especially compared to its relative the Iguanodon. Though it is large and bulky, with the ability to unleash punishing stomps and kicks to any aggressor, most predators leave it alone as it peacefully searches for the next berry bush or mushroom patch to feast on. However, the reason why Ouranosaurus seems to be immune to such attacks from large carnivores like Spinosaurus or Carnotaurus may lie in how often times it chews up narcotic-inducing substances and then proceeds to rub them into its skin, causing whatever attacks it to eventually knock itself out. The Ouranosaurus itself seems to be immune to any negative effects caused by its food. Or perhaps it simply has a different effect on the animal, which would certainly explain its lax behaviour! Domesticated Just when it seems this herbivore couldn't get any stranger, it just keeps on surprising! I've talked to tribes who have managed to tame the beasts, telling stories of the Ouranosaurus walking in on them while cooking up stews and curries and patiently waiting for a serving themselves. It appears that the more complex the stew and soup, as long as it contains mushrooms or berries, the more friendly an Ouranosaurus will be towards you, even if it includes meat or eggs. The tribes have also begun to use the bizarre ability to consume literally anything without repercussions and used it to grind together various substances that can be used in place of narcotics or stimulants. I even observed them using an Ouranosaurus to grind up gunpowder and gasoline, fitting a pouch under its snout to collect as the resources ran down its neck. Others decided to allow the Ouranosaurus to simply rub the narcotics all over its body as it would in the wild before riding out into danger, with every foe who attacked them collapsing not long after. No matter which way a survivor decides to use this creature, it is sure to be worthwhile. Habitat: As mentioned in the dossier, the Ouranosaurus will be near mushroom patches and berry bushes, mostly near water sources, generally untouched by most predators due to go along with the idea that predators have found out not to touch them due to their abilities idea, like how monarch butterflies are generally avoided due to being poisonous. Usability: Mobile Chemistry Bench: I can already hear "BUt WhaT About THe EqUUs" comments and how it already functions as mortar and pestle as a saddle. My goal for the Ouranosaurus was not to replace the Equus or any other similar creature, like the Iguanodon, but to offer an alternative (It's slower than both and has no lasso or infinite stamina, in case it was necessary to mention). The Ouranosaurus can make everything that the chemistry bench can, albeit of course at a slower rate to not eliminate the use of a chemistry bench completely as having one on the go can be useful. In order to activate this ability for the Ouranosaurus to grind everything up in its mouth and spit it out, I had the idea that the player must toggle whether or not it will have a pouch beneath its head to collect the resources. While this is toggled, the Ouranosaurus can still attack, but it can't activate its other ability. Chemical Covering If the resource pouch is not toggled, then anything that the Ouranosaurus consumes that has an effect, such as narcoberries, narcotics, or stimberries, the Ouranosaurus will chew up and rub the juices on its body, giving it a coating that reflects said effect onto anything that attacks it, as seen in how a Carnotaurus is knocked out after it bit the Ourano in the dossier. In order to help counteract the overpowered potential of this ability, not only will it not last, but it will also take up a lot of said resources and they will not provide the Ourano food. This process can be helped to tame creatures as this ability pairs well with the bulk and health of this herbivore. YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE OF THESE ABILITIES ACTIVE AT A TIME. Travel: The Ouranosaurus is somewhat slow and bulky but has a good amount of stamina, and due to its good stamina usage and recovery, it can cover a long distance with little trouble due to not aggroing many creatures outside of things like reapers, markings, or alphas. It is also immune to radiation, so anywhere is really available as long as you are up for the journey. The saddle will also have a two-person saddle, stretching across the top of the sail and each person sitting on one side, with weapon use allowed. Combat: The Ouranosaurus has two primary attacks, those being a front stomp with both legs and a back kick. Both deal a good amount of damage but lack effects as they wouldn't be necessary. The chemical covering ability can also be used to help knock out enemy tames or wild creatures to render them useless depending on whether the substance eaten has a narcotic effect, or hunger to drop if it ate something like stimberries. The Ouranosaurus itself is immune to any of these effects. Taming: Here's the drawback of taming such a creature with strong physical and unique abilities. As stated, it is necessary to use recipes to tame the Ouranosaurus as long as they have mushrooms or berries in them, and the more complex the recipe, the quicker it will tame. However, it will also follow you home if you recently ate any recipe that followed these requirements and wait around until you've either cooked up a meal for it or until the effect wears off. They will passively hang around the base unless attacked So, why did I choose Ouranosaurus? With its sail and potential for bright colorings and glowing patterns, Ouranosaurus will surely stand out from other creatures on the Ark, which I think is very important for an Ark being all about unique compared to the rest of them, with its main diet being berries and mushrooms due to them being plentiful in the Ark. I also wanted to buff out the sorely lacking herbivore representation in the game, with most of them being weak and starter tames that usually get bodied by the many carnivores that stalk the Arks, which generally isn't true in most cases in real life (Cue "it's a video game" comments. Please hush I want my funky badass hadrosauriform who is also potentially high all the time to beat the crap out of stuff). In the end, I just think it's neat. However, most importantly: If you wouldn't want something like this and would rather have something else, THATS OKAY. I hope you find something you do like and HAVE A GOOD DAY.
  9. Diamantinasaurus The Behemoth Cave Sauropod Art by Brian Engh from dontmesswithdinosaurs.com Dossier- Name: Diamantinasaurus Time: Late Cretaceous🕰️ Diet: Herbivore🌱 Temperament: Neutral😐 Wild The Diamantinasaurus is a colossal herbivorous sauropod from Australia commonly found in both the green and blue zones. Large plates that adorn the Diamantinasaurus' back serve as protection against predators and the radiation within the Ark. Unlike most herbivores, the Diamantinasaurus possesses a highly developed sense of aggression when threatened, enabling it to fiercely defend itself by utilizing its immense size and powerful tail to fend off potential predators. In the wild, the Diamantinasaurus employs its large front limbs to pound the ground, similar to the roll rat, in order to unearth gems. Taming When taming the Diamantinasaurus, its back plates will glow in either green, blue, or red, corresponding to the three gems found in each zone. These colours will alternate during the taming process. The survivor will then need to drop the gem that matches the colour of the plates. However, once the Diamantinasaurus consumes a gem, it becomes aggressive, and any attempt to ride a mount will result in the Diamantinasaurus knocking the rider off. The taming time will depend on the level of the Diamantinasaurus and the difficulty of obtaining the required gems, so survivors must come prepared. Domesticated Once domesticated, the Diamantinasaurus can be utilized to significantly enhance the efficiency of harvesting various gem nodes scattered across the diverse zones of Ark Aberration. In addition to this valuable capability, the Diamantinasaurus possesses other abilities and utilities that make it a versatile asset in this challenging environment. Primitive dual catapult saddle: the catapults mounted on the Diamantinasaurus are reminiscent of the trolls' catapults from Lord of the Rings. Positioned on either side of the Diamantinasaurus, they accommodate two individuals, much like the seating arrangement on an Amargasaurus saddle. This setup serves as both a PvP strategy and an alternative to taming the Karkinos, albeit with the inherent risk of the Karkinos still having the capability to snatch the two individuals operating the catapults. It is worth noting that the saddle itself can sustain damage through extensive use, but higher tiers of saddles may possess greater durability. Radiation protection saddle: despite its higher cost compared to the primitive alternative, boasts infinite durability without the inclusion of the two catapults. It provides the rider and two others with protection from the radiation in the red zone, as well as from the effects of the spores found in both the green and blue zones. Attacks Ground pound: will dismount players from dinos and will harvest more gems from nodes Reduced weight from gems Tail swipe: pushes back dinos and harvests berries and thatch Charge: breaks through wood and thatch however has a large cooldown Passive abilities Dorsal plates will glow with corresponding buff in each zone green, blue and red- Green higher speed Blue quicker cooldown and larger AOE of ground pound Red Higher defense/attack and the dorsal plates will grow thicker and sharper Passively produces light in all zones
  10. Smok - Was a type of large predatory archosaur living in the late Triassic in modern Europe. Its fossils come from sediments in the brickyard in Lisowice near Lubliniec, dated to the turn of the Norian and Rhaetian (205-200 million years). Measuring 5-6 m in length, of which nearly 50-60 cm was the skull, it was one of the largest Triassic archosaurs. "Smok" shows some features in theropods, rauisuchians and more primitive archosaurs. Omnivore Wild Smok will spawn near rivers and more infected aberration biome, where he will hide between rocks or in water .Using his glowing scales he will be able to charm other animals or players to come to his location slowly. You can escape the charm of smok by Eating an Aquatic Mushroom or Auric Mushroom depending if it would be found as Water type or Abberated Type. Taming To Tame This Gentleman You have to bring creatures to him, he will then devour them. The Bigger the animal or the bigger the level of the animal the more percentege in taming it will have. You also have to bring diffrent kinds of mushrooms because Smok will charm you too if you are not carefull with him, also between animals Smok might consider wanting a random type of mushroom because he is a picky eater. Tamed Water Type - He Gets Unlimited Oxygen underwater plus gets Boost to Damage and Speed near Water . His attacks also Give Bleed effect just like Allo.(More like an Archosaur) Abbilitys: His First abbility: Jaw Breaker- His Jaws Open Wide and Do A LOT OF DAMAGE and does bonus damage to all structures and animals underwater. Second Abbility: Super Tail- His Tail Starts To vibrate which cause All Nearby Agressive Creatures to Turn peacefull for 15 Sec. The Cool down for abbility is 30sec. Third Abbility -Roar! Abberated Type- With Being On Radiation comes Props of course . This type of Smok Is Getting Buffed on Radiated Biome and Surface in Strength and Protecion But Also Gets and Abbility to Climb Walls and Diffrent Surfaces with extreme speed. His Bite unlike His Water Brothers is Poisonous which helps with stronger creature cause it avoid any type of armor For Example Reapers.(As a More Theropod Like Dino) Abbilitys: His First abbility: Jaw Breaker- His Jaws Open Wide and Do A LOT OF DAMAGE and does bonus damage to all animals with More Strength . Second Abbility: Wall Run- His Claws Starts To stick to all surfaces which help him get around "Abberation". Third Abbility -Roar! Because The Debate About it Being more Like Archosaur or Theropod one type should be more theropod and the other one more like Archosaur. For The Sadlle i Thought Maybe Like a Green House With But With Metal as Like a Magmasaur or Andrewsarchus but smaller.
  11. Proposal My proposed creature is aurochs. The auorchs is a bovid from northern Europe that became extinct around the 17th century and could measure up to 2.8m. Information Group: Mammal Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Very aggressive Characteristics aurochs would be the only creature in the ark whose offspring would be a different color than the parents, even if you change the color of the creature with commands the offspring will always be a very light brown color Colored areas 0: Central part of the body 1: Front and back of the animal (including legs) 2: Hair on the forehead and the line of the back 3: Hooves and around the muzzle 4: Head 5: Horns and center of the muzzle Equipment A saddle can be put on it with or without a platform, but with a very small platform and a built-in boiler that would work like a normal non-industrial pot. Up to 3 people can ride on the saddle without a platform the necessary materials are: metal Wood pearls fiber cement Behavior He has a medium range of vision and only if you enter his field of vision will he attack you and depending on the distance at which you are he will use one attack or another. Since wild hatchlings may appear naturally in ARK survival ascended, the amount of hatchlings may increase aggression. Just like with cows in real life. Rewards Keratin meat First class meat skin Ur sweat gland. coat Domestication Due to its aggressive behavior, it will have to be comforted in some way so that it does not detect us, it can be with insect pellent, a camouflage suit or the most effective way with the ur sweat glands and to get them you will need to kill a other ur to get it and consume it. re It would have a type of passive domestication where the creature could not be aggressive. Bovids like buffalo bears and bison eat a large amount of lignin which is a component of wood so their favorite foods would be, in order of best to worst, kibble, fungal wood, sap, normal wood, vegetables, the purple berry and the other berries. Once tamed it will be able to consume nomal and fungal wood, sap, berries, vegetables and vegetable cakes Effects An ur when it kills a beaver or another ur (the second only with domesticated bears) will acquire an increase similar to that of the magateri which will also make it become aggressive even if you have taken the gland. Since they are all wood consumers. All hits deal 75% more damage to beaver dams Controls Basic Headshot (left click) - a basic headshot with enough damage ignores all armor types. Collect corpses, bushes and trees, getting more straw. Charge (right click) - a boost charge, applies bleeding of a very high percentage, dismounts. You will not be able to turn while charging. +75% damage resistance Collect trees to get more wood and some sap Kick (c) - a kick with one leg, but if you have the effect it will be done with both like the andrewsarcus. Bram ( x ) - +50% damage and +50% damage resistance Jump (spacebar) - makes a small jump Both with the kick and with the load and the basic blow it can damage straw, wood and stone structures, especially damaging wooden structures. utilities Mobile tent: Due to its saddle with platform you can have a protection since you can build a small structure. Help to tame ur: Generate ur sweat in your inventory which allows you to tame them more easily. Boss mount : Due to its strong attack and the fact that it can enter the boss fight arena it can be a good option to face them. Climber: He can climb very steep slopes and combined with his jump can be of help in climbing up steep inclines Reaper-killer: Due to its resistance, bleed and ability to ignore armor it can easily kill a reaper king/reaper queen Mount for the surface: due to its resistance to radiation and its ease of killing reapers it can be a good mount for exploring the surface Weight reduction wood 85% fungal wood 90% sap 70% ur sweat 25% Collection berries fiber fungal wood wood knew straw cactus sap rare flower rare mushrooms silk keratin chitin raw meat prime raw meat raw mutton skin abyssal ice biotoxin organic polymer coat fungi Appearance area They appear throughout the blue zone and parts of the green
  12. Wild If you ever find odd claw marks rising up the side of a sheer cliff, odds are you have found the path of a Diabolotherium. Unlike their larger cousins, these sloths use their claws to climb sheer surfaces, allowing them to traverse the caves of Aberration with ease. They also have a unique mechanism for descending. Their ultra-dense bones combined with springy joints spread the kinetic energy from falling throughout their bodies, meaning they can safely jump from any height and will simply run it off! Taming Diablos would be a very straightforward to tame, were it not for their habit of hanging from vines and cliff-sides where they are hard to reach. To make matters more frustrating, when on the ground their metabolic rate drops near to zero, so it takes much longer to convince them to eat whatever treats you have brought for them. They are omnivorous, but prefer sweet honey above all! Tamed Diablos are very well rounded. They are built sturdy, can carry a lot of weight, and can traverse up and down the caves of their home with ease. Their fur is unique in that it provides itself a natural defense against radiation, and when sheared and made into a saddle, can protect you as well! Just don't try bringing out the scissors near a wild one, as they can become skittish or even aggressive. They gain a great deal of energy to expel upon landing from a great height, so many survivors use them as raiders to ambush from above. Having seen this in action, it's about as gruesome as you would expect, leaving very little of the unfortunate victim to bury.
  13. Hello surviors i would like to introduce you to the Eotriceratops. The Eotriceratops is a strong mid game tame but could also be used later game. This ceratopcyan is larger then more famous counterpart the triceratops. Unlike the triceratops this creature dosen't have as much bulk despite being larger, but it is made up for with the Eotriceratops increased damage. WILD - When wild the Eotriceratops is a calm and gentle creature but if you get on its bad side they'll be hell to pay. The eotriceratops will remember your survivor and when spotted will go out of its way to ruin your day. When in its herd of 2-4 they have a increased defensive bonus that scales the more eotriceratops are in the herd, the defensive bonus you gain stops increasing at 4 eotriceratops. With this buff and their good memory if given time to prepare the eotriceratops may lay siege on your tribe in order to settle a score in an envision type event. TAMED - When tamed the Eotriceratops are very loyal and noble creatures that will risk their own life in order to save their master for they see them as part of the herd. The buff they receive in the wild still applies to when tamed, making them a formidable ally for your tribe and with the ability to dig up the ground and pick up boulders and fallen logs and use them as weapons to fend off foes makes them a strong offense dino. The Eotriceratops will also have a stomp ability where they rear up on their back legs and slam back down in a powerful attack that blows back opponents and stuns them briefly. And with the passive ability called "Protection" You are protected from all those dismounting creatures such as the Microraptor or Thylacoleo. When immense danger is uppon its master and the eotriceratops is below 6% health and almost dead it will pull the agro of the attacking creature, fighting till the end in order to save its masters life. TAMING - There are two taming methods for the Eotriceratops one being where you passively feed it honey because these big creatures have a sweet tooth. But feeding it honey will also send it into a hyper frenzy and it will try to attack you in order to get more honey from you. The second method is you have to jump onto the back of the eotriceratops and try to tame it down by showing your dominance almost like the equus or andrewsarchus but to do it this way you must kill the other eotriceratops or they will attack you off and ruin your taming. CREATORS NOTE - Even if i dont get in top ten i had a fun time designing this creature to help the survivors conquer the world of ragnarok and i hope you all had a fun time reading it!
  14. Head note: I haven't looked around to see if anyone else has proposed this before for other maps, but this is my take on the Thalassodromeus. Genus: Thalassodromeus sethi Common Name: Thalassodromeus Researched Background Thalassodromeus is a genus of pterosaur that lived in what is now Brazil during the Early Cretaceous period, about a hundred million years ago. Thalassodromeus had one of the largest known skulls among pterosaurs, around 1.42 m (4 ft 8 in) long, with one of the proportionally largest cranial crests of any vertebrate. Though only the skull is known, the animal is estimated to have had a wingspan of 4.2 to 4.5 m (14 to 15 ft). The Thalassodromeus was thought to be a Skimmer Bird - skimming over water's surface and catching fish but also small prey on the coast lands, they later developed to fly in-land in search of opportunistic encounters. This is ideal for transversing the large map of Ragnarok. Wild Behavior Temperament: Aggressive Diet: Carnivore (but tames off Fish) Then Thalassodromeus can be seen circling around riverland areas, looking for it's next meal and rarely landing for a break. Unlike the skittish Tapajara and the docile Pteranodon, the intelligent Thalassodromeus sees human survivors as ideal prey but only if it can wear them down. For larger adversaries, the Thalassodromeus utilises lightning fast hit and run tactics to chip away at it's prey until it can feed. When endangered or close to death, the Thalassodromeus will fly away similarly to the Tapajara. While not suited for in-air combat or carrying a lot of items, the Thalassodromeus is a great hunter of the lands and waters below. Domesticated Abilities Gliding & Long Distance Flight - Thalassodromeus rarely flaps its wings in the air which is ideal for long distance flights, and will steadily use it's wide wingspan to maintain itself in the air. While it is unable to manuever as smoothly as a Tapajara, the Thalassodromeus is faster has 2 flight modes to switch between Gliding and Hovering. Able to fly and skate across water - When the Thalassodromeus flies onto water, it is able to skate across the water at a speed slightly faster than a Bloodstalker. It may grab creatures on the surface of the water which are smaller than a survivor, including fish to heal itself (potentially similarly to an Argentavis?). The rider won't be dismounted when it interacts with water. Grabbing - Can pick up creatures in it's beak up to the size of a survivor and can crunch down on them with it's powerful blade-like, robust jaws. Primary Attack - Bite Secondary Attack - Head bash attack which inflicts a stun. (15s cooldown) Increased spoiler times for perishables Taming Method The survivor must submerge themselves in water near a Thalassodromeus which will start the taming process. It will then repeatedly swoop down on onto the water directly above and this will give the survivor a moment to feed them Raw Prime Fish Meat / Superior Kibble. If the survivor isn't completely submerged under water, the Thalassodromeus will attack instead. Be sure to hold your breath well, and keep an eye out for piranhas and other dangers! Thank you for reading my suggestion.
  15. I haven’t read through the other things yet, if it turns out this has already been submitted I apologies The darwinopterus is a small, flying carnivore that tends to be found in warmer parts of ragnorok. Female darwinopterus tend to lack the crest on the top of their heads which makes it so it’s incredibly easy to tell the two apart, these small pterosaurs tend to be much more colourful then most other creatures which makes them easier to spot whilst flying around. Because of this, Darwinopterus use their small body as an advantage and often fly or run behind rocks and into cramped spaces. They often flee when attacked and eat bodies that have been left around or hunt things smaller things like dodos, jerboas, etc, they can be domesticated in two different ways. 1• petting, feeding and protecting one. Younger darwinopterus are often found near the older ones and are the only type that can be tamed this way, the older ones are a bit more complicated. 2• killing small dinos, dragging their corpses to an adult darwinopterus and letting it eat it. Once you’ve done it a few times the darwinopterus will gain your trust begin following you around, then you do the same thing again. once it allows you to pick it up, grab it and it’ll tame. Tamed darwinopterus don’t have much they can do other then climbing onto your shoulder. However, they do have a couple helpful abilities that make them pretty useful! 1• grabbing items darwinopterus are able to grab items that you throw to them, you can also make them grab things by throwing that at the item. This is helpful for things like stealing wyvern eggs since it makes it easier to grab them without making wyverns attack you, they can also hold weapons in their mouth and attack from your shoulder if not on passive mode. (Only once tamed) 2• stealing from survivors (pvp) if you throw one at a survivor it’ll grab a random item from their inventory and bring it back to you. This will mostly be helpful for pvp though and is mostly useless on pve (unless your trying to annoy your sibling on a single player world. Also wild ones are NOT able to steal) 3• stat boosts These small critters love pets and cuddles, whenever you pet one it’ll temporarily boost their stats a small bit, which is good to do before making them steal from other players since it’ll also boost their speed and health incase they try to fight back despite have multiple good abilities, there’s also a few cons of owning them, such as their low stats, darwinopterus have low health, melee and stamina usually. However they do have decent weight ————————— https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwinopterus
  16. Species Name- Australovenator Wintensis In the wild- Australovenator is a rare species of the ark, only being found in flat, non-forested areas. They can also be found in deserts, but they're even rarer here. Australovenator would have an aggressive temperament toward the player and their teams. However, it would be docile to wild creatures around it unless attacked. Australovenator has a wide agro range and will keep agro until either losing interest (after about 10 seconds) or leaving render distance. Australovenator is incredibly fast, as fast as a rolling roll rat! It takes about 6 seconds for a Australovenator to reach this speed, however. Escaping this animal can be a challenge, but getting to the high ground or running to a nearby dense forest is your safest bet. Australovenator will be a sort of upgrade to the raptor, being about the size of an iguanodon. Taming process- In order to tame a Australovenator I would advise to build a trap and lure it in while on a flying creature. From there, you need to sneak up to it and feed it beer, that's right, beer. From here, it will get a status effect called "Drunk Rage." This effect will aggravate everything around it for about a minute. This will also nearly double its damage. A level 1 Fukui will need about 1 beer jar, a level 150 would need about 13. Once it's fed the final beer, it will tame but will be knocked out for about 10 seconds. Tamed- Australovenator's saddle is unlocked at level 75. A tamed Australovenator has a few unique abilities. To start with, it has its basic bite, the weakest of its attacks. However, you can bite while moving at its extreme speeds. The second ability would be a latching ability, this would allow Australovenator to latch onto a larger animal like a rex and take bites out of it. However, Australovenator can take damage from the creature attacking back in this phase. up to two Austrolovenator can be on a target at any given time depending on the size. a creature the size of a stego could only have a single Australovenator on it, while a creature the size of let's say the dragon could have up to 5 on it at a time. Australovenator stamina would drain quickly during this. The last of its remarkable abilities is its speed. As mentioned before, it can go as fast as a rolling roll rat, however, Turing is a different story. Australovenator when at full sprint can whip around a full 180 at the cost of some of its speed, needing to regain some of it afterwards similar to andrewsarchus. Roles- It can serve many roles and purposes, one of them being for combat. With all of its amazing abilities, it's no surprise, it would fit in as a truly worthy opponent during combat. However, it serves a very nice niche in a PvE setting. It can serve as a metal harvester, as it has a 50 percent weight reduction for metal, stone, sulfur, obsidian, and many other minerals. This makes it great to pair with creatures such as doedicurus and ankylosaurus. It could also be used for boss fights against creatures like the titans and the dragon. In PvP setting, it can be amazing for base raids, being able to whittle a creature's health down and sporting the speed to get away with it relatively unharmed. Thank you for reading through this extensive article about the Proposed apex of the plains.
