  1. Fjordur Ps4, unofficial pc server pve I have been playing on fjordur lately and noticed the sloped roof don't like to snap to the slanted wall in the right position even with selecting different placement options. It wants to place halfway down the slanted wall rather then at the top like normal. It will treat regular wall as a slanted wall and the corner of the regular wall sticks out the top... I am at a loss as to what is going on. Is it a wait for an update thing right now? Didn't know if anyone else was having this issue?
  2. I don't see any white drops on my fjordur server is this the way it is meant to be? All the others spawn even though I have rag drop settings in my game ini. Does anyone know where there is a written list of beacon ids for this map? Thx.
  3. please raise the server cap to 100 on official for new map.
  4. So I know that there are the X-Rock Elementals in the volcano cave by the wyverns, but are there any other spawns for normal rock elementals? Or even the Ice versions? Just trying to get an easier option since the ground for trapping in the volcano is so uneven.
  5. Before I start, I know that the map is just out and will probibly need some time to work out the kinks. Im playing singleplayer on PS4/5 and i decided to go into Fjordur as a new character. Firstly before playing survival I flew around in creative mode, and I noticed as is custom that there are dlc creatures on the map. I thought this was great until I loaded up survival and looked at the engrams available. Seems that only base game engrams are available. So while there are Basilisks, Magmasaurs and R-Snow owls on Fjordur you cannot use them. Im hoping that this only an oversight and that this was not intended.
  6. I recently noticed in the Ark Official Discord that PC Small Tribes gained a couple more Fjordur servers. I wanted to suggest this same change for PlayStation and Xbox. There are tons of people who missed the Fjordur launch and started late but we’re/are unable to catch up to those tribes who started on launch. The servers are very full and all the cool spots are taken leaving those who missed the launch behind. Considering that this is the last map for Ark 1, it is also the VERY LAST time for new tribes to get established on Small Tribes Servers on an even playing field, without getting destroyed by the larger and older tribes from the main cluster. Fjordur is truly an amazing map and giving those people who missed launch a chance to give Small Tribes a go one last time would be truly a great final gift from Wildcard for Ark 1.
  7. Fenirir is extremely hard to get but without any skills or get anything new, 6 bosses to defeat for a wolf with stun . . . We understand getting the titans off the map, but making Fenrir so hard to get and without any really impactful and important abilities is very frustrating. A dinosaur so difficult to obtain has to be at least very strong and with unique abilities. It is worth mentioning several extremely difficult to tame and unique dinos such as Shadowmane, Reaper, Astrocetus, Tek Stryder, Phoenix, Bloodstalker, etc. Please give Fenrir a decent role, add new skills, show the community that you still love the game. Some suggested skills: summon and control wolfs; Summon Skol and Hati (sons of fenrir); Summon the snowstorm around him; Freezing breath; Some kind of freezing dash.
  8. Hey! I noticed all of the dinos new from Fjordur are not able to be unpodded on Aberration. I'm here to petition for these creatures to be added to Aberration's allowed classes list, and why they still fit into the aberration theme/mindset regarding limiting certain tames. Andrewsarchus - This creature walks completely on land, and is more like a horse than a pig. Horses are allowed on Ab, so I feel this would be a fair thing to add to aberration. Granted the gun struggles to match up with aberration's usual vibe, however I'd argue it would prove useful against the limited number of actions you can usually take against things on ab. In this particular context, I am referring to the PVP side of the game, but I feel it would better balance mek/tek suit PVP on aberration. Fjordhawk - This creatures entire design revolves around picking bags and retrieving items. Granted full birds have typically been excluded from aberration, but Featherlights could be a counterargument as to why the Fjordhawk would still be a good fit, since it is a shoulder pet too and not a ridable bird. Aberration is a tough map in many cases, and being able to retrieve bags from horrible mishaps, both of the users fault and of the game's fault in certain terrain related incidents, would be a huge boon for aberration players. Fenrir - This creature's abilities are unique, but you can do certain forms of the same stuff with creatures that many people would argue have no business being on aberration. Examples being Freezing with Managarmr, spike reflection with Shadowmanes, unique pre-given saddle armor with Shadowmanes, etc. Creatures with WAY more wild abilities are on aberration class allowed list already, and I think Fenrir should be allowed to be part of that. Desmodus - This one is a TOUGH argue as it does fly around, which largely fights against the no flyer gameplay aberration strives for usually. However, where better to allow giant bats that break the usual no-flyer in caves rule than the massive underground that is aberration? It fits the underground vibe very well, with the abilities it posseses being a huge boon against creatures already allowed such as Bloodstalkers, Manas, and Tek Suiters (Not a creature but it really isn't fun to have no counter to a suiter being able to just zoom away untouched and unpunished for being underprepared aside from the suit itself. I can't imagine I'm the only one that feels that way). The echolocation screech in the dark depths of aberration also looks incredibly awesome! If anyone see's this and agrees, please upvote so we can gain some traction on this and get this visible to the devs to consider? Have a great day!
  9. Unless you've already done it (client & server), instead of everyone wanting this, crapping out the net with (PC) 20G patches, how about staging it in much smaller chunks. Push some to Steam etc, then on launch day a much smaller patch with whatever is required for bug fixes and enable the module. My dev experience has been the media is usually locked in place before launch and is the bulk of what is transmitted. Hopefully this is your experience as well so that stuff is available to get *now*. Please be considerate of your fans and others for a smoother roll out.
  10. Hi, we are two guys from EU and start on the new Map Fjördur when it comes out at 12. June. (small tribes + pc) Your Profil: - from US or Asia - over 20 years old - more then 1k hours in ARK pvp - character lvl 100+ - tek engrams Message me on dc if you are interestet. Tunes#2646
  11. Does anyone know officially if it will be possible to transfer items or dinos to this new map as it is created? If so, what do you think about this?
  12. So it seems to be the largest map we could possibly get with ALOT of content but there will inevitably be things removed or changed, for the most part they said it will stay the same but I already got my ideas on what's being removed First off I think just like the last 2 maps we will get a new Boss based on one of the creatures added and by process of elimination I think its fairly easy to conclude that we will see something like a Desmodus King The Fjordhawk is a shoulder pet so that's instantly disqualified, the Andrewsarchus just doesn't seem like the type of creature to get a boss variation and the Fenrir while it's the second most likely candidate is still a solid no since Steinbjorn exists and is basically a Fenrir like mini boss but in bear form, so Desmodus Draculae King it is, plus with the huge amount of caves on the map it makes sense to capitalize on the creatures that spawn in those caves This also makes me think that the Titans will definitely be removed, if they stayed they would take away from the spotlight of the boss and considering this is the final boss ever to be added I'm sure they wouldn't want the Titans to steal the Spotlight, maybe they'll keep the general heavy visage of the Titans around the map as statues and the like but definitely no Titan spawns on Fjordur anymore I think the rest of the bosses will definitely stay though, they got custom unique arenas as is but I think they will do away with the artifact in the arena and base it around the trophies of the bosses, they would also bump down the Manticore to be one of those trophies since in the mod you need to collect things from the other bosses for the manticore and instead of the Manticore they'll make it as a trophy collection to summon the Desmodus King, to me that just makes the most sense, it is the final boss to ever be added into ark 1 so why not make it stand out
  13. Hi I would like to make a suggestion for the new Fjodur map if Rock Drakes are going to be on the new viking map them can I make a suggestion of the drakes either having a glowing skin effect like Aberration dinos or crystal wyverns or a different skin patterns like the X or R dinos from gen 1 and 2 it will give people who love rock Drakes like myself a even more reason to go on the new map Give the drakes some love please and thank you.
  14. ...................................................................................... Quick start Omnivorous dinosaur right between Rex and theri basically a duck headed thick theri with stationary attacks and one item focused gathering ....................................................................................... {appearance} In appearance Deinocheirus is similar to a therizinosaurus but it is much larger with its vertebra almost forming a spine on its back and with a weight measuring up to 6.4 metric tons. It has violent coloured skin with blue patches on its head but most of its body is covered in feathers with darker colours on its back and tail but brighter colours in its stomach. it has really long and strong arms with a nice set of claws which compensates its weak ducklike beak. it'll have longer feathers at its tail and arms almost wing like {saddle} I imagine it to have a saddle with some blades attached to its claws just to give it even a more horrific look. {Wild} It is an omnivorous creature but not the one to mess around with. Naturally they wander around grazing the vegetation but they are willing to accept an easy meal when it walks up to them. So keep your distance. They are not going to attack any big bodyed creatures naturally but they are willing to protect themselves and the other Deinocheiruses. (much like trikes and stegos do) {domesticated} This dino will fit well in your collection. It being an omnivore means it can eat both meat and berries, vegetables and also can take veggie cakes. It can sprint pretty fast but burns trough stamina pretty fast. It has an attack while sprinting similar to the deinonychus where it moves its hands in a griping pulling way. that attack would be slow and it has a 1/4 chance to apply a reaper spit like effect (except it'll be red) called "Painful scars" it'll slow down the effected enemy and thats where its standing attack comes in when it starts to jump left and right while swiping with its hands. this attack will keep applying the effect and builds up a rage meter that speeds up its attackspeed like tek claws and also burns through stamina so it cant just stun and run after you that easily. On the omnivore side the regular harvester attack where it leans close to the ground and moves its beak fast searching for food like modern ducks do. While doing this attack it searches for the specific item type you have set it to and only harvest that. This can make farming tintoberryes for medbrews easyer for example. {Taming} It'll be a passive tame, but not the kind of one that you would think much like an aggressive passive tame. Where u have to damage its limbs to get it on the floor and feed it with prime fish meet being its favourite, And wait until its recovering. {Note} I didn't wanted to go too crazy with this idea but i'm interested to see what do you think about my suggestion, sorry if i annoyed you with all of this like this like that but its much easier for me to explain what i think it will be. If u want to see my suggestion in game please vote for it to change the game together.
  15. Name: Cryolophosaurus Species: Cryolophosaurus ellioti Age: Early Jurassic Period Location: Antarctica‭ ‬ Diet: Carnivor Size: ~6.5 (21.3 ft) meters long and and 465 kilograms (1,025 lb) in weight. Potential ability: Frost Bite- The creature's cold bite slows enemies and freezes them over time. Source Wikipedia Notable facts about the Cryolophosaurus The Cryolophosaurus (meaning "cold crested lizard") has a armored head crest reminiscent of a pompadour giving it the nickname "Elvisaurus" First carnivorous dinosaur to be discovered in Antarctica Only creature in the species Cryolophosaurus ellioti One of the largest theropods of its time Cryolophosaurus being a large Arctic dwelling dinosaur makes it the perfect candidate for Fjordur. 16. Wild Labyrinthodont is a semi-aquatic carnivorous amphibian living on beaches near cliffs and can be also found in some caves with sufficient source of water. In Adulthood it can grow up to 8 meters. Its large body with worm-like skin that is incrusted with scales of a lizard and limbs adapted for swimming but also climbing on wet surfaces makes it perfect swimmer and climber. Adult Labyrinthodonts are highly aggressive and dangerous, while juveniles are mostly harmless. Juveniles only leave their nests when starving. Their digestive metabolism makes them last longer without food. Adults are apparently highly protective of their young, willing to abandon helpless prey if they hear them call (which can apparently be heard from some distance away). Domesticated Labyrinthodont makes a great amphibious mount. It grants a high protection to its rider. It posses a ability to move at increased speed using upward leaps/charges. With them it is also able to devour its prey within seconds. Adults are too stubborn to be tamed and care more about eating you than becoming friends with you. In contrary the younglings are more curious and are willing to be tamed. But caution must be taken when taming labyrinthodont because when adult labyrinthodont finds you interacting with his nestling it will rather kill its own child than to let you tame it. -I chose this creature because it fits the map just perfectly. There were some rumours about great long worms that were mistaken for amphibians. All this was taken from mythology so it makes sense :D. Also this creature was in Primeval and sadly it was changed for the film purpose but it seemed really cool and I think it would suit the Ark perfectly. -Abilities are easily set: left click: The labyrinthodont bites when looking forward or when looking backwards it turns to the target(that is behind) knocking any creatures in its proximity away while turning with its enermous body(tail swipe/body swipe) right click(when clicked): The labyrinthodont jumps forward with small bite that does not deal a great damage but makes the labyrinthodont jump further(in water it makes the labyrinthodont do a dash and moves it even further) right click(when held): The labyrinthodont stands up on its hind legs and charges a leap/charge attack that deals a great amount of damage but also when used on small creatures it can eat them instantly C button : roar that weakens nearby enemies ( when used underwater, ocean creatures up to size of plesiosaur will get scared and weakend) Saddle: Two seat saddle with smithy It would be amazing if this creature made it in Ark. Not only for me but for many people it would be a venerable memorial of Primeval. Please support this post and if you can add some ideas bellow.
  17. The Purussaurus is a extinct relative of the Caiman. (Inspiration, Ark Additions, Sarco, Me living in a Place full of Gators) In the wild: they live in bodies of water/Rivers. Areas like the Ocean, Lakes, Frozon rivers, and they Make the Large dinos fear getting a drink!, Due to their Oily skin they can live in Cold Areas and hunt like if its a Hot Swamp. they have extremely Strong jaws and a Tail that makes a Brontos looks weak. they have Sharp spikes like plates and Extremely Strong skin. Even though they are very large, they are rather nimble on land able to "Galop" to targets like a Cuban Croc! However this comes at a Cost, Due to their fat and oils they store to keep them warm, they burn through stamina Much more then most animals. they are almost built to Kill Larger targets that come too closes. However they seem weaker to smaller targets, thats what the hide is for. Size in game (2.5x bigger then Sarco) Movement: When in the Water they swim Like a Magmasaur On Land they move like a Croc but when they Run they gain A VERY good speed buff but they have Trash stamina when running on land (like gigas) Able to Turn Very fast (like Sarco) Still goes through stamina when in water unlike most crocs Will gain speed when swimming on the surface (Like a Shark) Ability's: Passive effects: Saddle is 3 seater Can go into Raft mode when swimming Roar gives intimidation effect Takes 15% less damage due to their hide Gains Hydration buff Deals 4.5x more damage to "Large targets" (Gigas, Rexs, spinos, wyverns, Mosas, Yutys, etc) Deals 3.5x more damage when targets are in jaws and goes through 30% of armor. able to grab things like (Manes, Wolfs, Raptors, etc) can go through 35% of armor When biting (deals 60% to Large targets, or with Power bite) Able to turn fast like Sarco. Can hold tail Attack to charge up the Knockback and damage. Net guns will not stun them but disables there bite attacks Attacks Bite: Deals heavy damage. (4.5x more to large tames (Golems, Gigas, wyverns, Drakes, reapers, allos, Rexs, spinos, Manas) the only expiation is Mosas and most sea dinos Heavy bite: Like with a shadowmane when you attack a Target enough you can do a Power bite by holding Bite button. (Gives gash and goes through 60% of Armor) Tail Slap: Able to Smack targets around and can throw people off mounts (if they are low enough). but cripples Larger targets, can charge up tail attack for more damage and Knockback Tail Wave Slap: when floating about in the water able to thrash your tail to throw a Wave of water, Knocks targets back and can stun them Grapple: Able to grab mid to small targets and able to thrash them around or even throw them. (goes through 50% of armor But able to get out by attacking it, when do you so it stuns the croc), Able to grapple to Large targets and it Locks you and the target like a Stego tail (Grains HP, Stamina and will last so long as you got stamina, does more damage depending on Max HP). Has a Stun Lock for 60 secs Roar: Gives intimdation effect Weakness: (Due to how strong it sounds it should have some weakneeses) Net guns: disables bite attack but they can still slap you with tail Spino: they deal 2.5x more damage to them Apex Water tames deal and take 2.5x less/more damage (Mosas, squids, Pelsios) Torpor: they are weak to Torpor and gain it faster Able to be dismounted easily via microraptors Smaller targets (they don't take 4.5x more damage so Diens and Wolfs can do some work, But shadowmanes don't get this buff) How to tame: You must Hit them with a Stun base attack (Chain bolas, Z Fruits, beartraps, etc). Once they are Stunned you Must Ride them like a Equus Or void. when they start thrashing around you must press a button to feed them (Meats or Extraordary kibble). if you succeed you gain taming effectiveness. If not... you will be thrown off and you will go flying.... Overall not fun!. HAVE FUN! Pics: (Make this 2.5x bigger) Ark "Additional Creature's" Mod my poor Photoshop work of it
  18. Wild (from the notes of Helena Walker): So far I have seen many unseen creatures, starting with creatures that I knew earlier as a pile of bones, ending with fantastic dragons. However, this creature can't be compared to anything I've seen before. In the ark database, this creature is called a peregocetus and it's not even clear what it looks like. Peregocetus looks like a mixture of otter and seal. This creature lives in flocks on reef coasts. You can hear them right away, because the mixture of their cries reminded me of the vocalization of Brazilian otters and foxes. The diet of the peregocetus consists of fish, mainly megalodons fall under their distribution, although they do not disdain coelacanths, salmon and piranhas. There have also been reported cases of attacks on pelagornis, kairuku and even ichthyornis, if they fly low enough over the water. Apparently, these mammals do not tolerate competition in their category and therefore immediately destroy all seabirds. Despite all this, they treat the survivors well enough, as long as they don't provoke them. Home : Some tribes tamed flocks of such creatures and were very surprised by the result. Firstly, the peregocetus has well-developed infrared vision under water and it can make a U-turn under water, similar to a tropeognath, which gives a head start in water battles. Secondly, like ichthyornis, he collects first-class meat where others do not collect. Thirdly, it is ideal for the extraction of resources, or to be more precise: straw, organic polymer, tree sap, sand, charcoal and sulfur. Also, when he hits a stone with his tail, he collects cement paste from it, but does not collect the rest of the resources from various ores. And fourthly, his screams are so loud and strong that they can scare even yutirannus. In terms of combat, this creature can also stand up for itself. If you attack a pack of tamed peregocetus on a tyrannosaurus, then you will win, because their bites cause bleeding, which destroys the enemy's health reserves in a matter of seconds. Taming : Any peregocetus is tamed passively. However, to tame you will need to create your favorite shark soup, which is easily created in a pot or in an industrial oven. (Recipe : 1 alpha megalodon fin, 3 lemons, 5 rare mushrooms, 10 fried meats). We look for the right individual, put the soup in the zero slot, tame and enjoy. Breeding : Peregocetus is a viviparous mammal that does not have an oxygen scale, so you can mate them everywhere, the main thing is to monitor the value of food!!! Functions by buttons. Left click - Bite (causes bleeding). Right click - Tail strike (stun and collect resources). Space - Jump (can jump out of the water). The "C" button is Infrared vision. The "O" button is a sun reversal (works only in water). Left ctrl - Scream. Notes to possible questions. 1 - "Shark soup has some value besides food for domestication"? Yes, it can be fed to creatures and this soup increases the regeneration of health by 30% (approximately like basilosaurus). 2 - "How exactly is the bleeding distributed?" - The same as in allosaurs, i.e. the wound is suspended by the individual with the highest level. 3 - "How much will he stun with a tail attack?" - The attack will be balanced. Let's just say it's bigger than a thorny dragon and smaller than a basilisk. 4 - "Will the roar affect Giganotosaurus and Titanosaurus?" - no. His cry scares away everyone except giganotosaurs, titanosaurs, all alpha creatures, titans and reapers. Please support this creature (if you liked it) and ask questions if you still have any.
  19. As a suggestion for the new map for Ark Survival Evolved, Fjordur. A boreal subspecies of an ankylosaurid with a battle axe like tail from the tropical environment of Chile, that was discovered in 2018, would be an interesting idea for a new armoured creature in Ark. Common Name: Stegouros Species: Stegouros geliagros Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Reactive Tameable: Yes Rideable: Yes Breedable: Yes Torpidity Immune: No Taming Method: Knockout Preferred Kibble: Simple Kibble Preferred Food: Spinach Seed (Primitive Plus) Equipment: "Stegouros" Saddle (Level 47) Rider Weaponry: Yes Humans Can Carry: No https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stegouros#/media/File:Stegouros_elengassen_original_Luis_Pérez_López.jpg Wild and Subspecies The species Stegouros would normally be found in the tropical lands of Late Cretaceous Chile, however. The subspecies, Stegouros geliagros (The Roofed Tail of the Frozen Land) has adapted to the boreal and grassland environments found in Fjordur. Having small round plates running down the animal's back and forelimbs, Stegouros's main method of defense is found on its tail. The osteoderm plates that run down the sides of the animals back, end at the tail. These plates form the unique paddle shape that gives the animal its interesting feature, and is why some compare the design and use of the tail to the clubbed weapon used by Mesoamerican tribes such as the Aztecs known as a macuahuitl (a wooden club that has embedded obsidian shards - a form of melee). This tail is used by the parankylosaur (relative of euankylosaurus (ankylosaurus, euoplocephalus, nodosaurus and )) as a method of self-defence and/or for sexual display. This tail could be considered similar in concept to the use of thagomizer spines present in stegosaurids, but the plates found on Stegouros are broad in shape and along with the size of the animal and the muscles present in the tail. The swinging action would be similar to swinging a double headed axe. This means that the amount of force created by the tail could easily slice through flesh and easily cause internal bleeding. Stegouros geliagros is the largest member of its species, being more than 8 feet in length. This increase in size is due to the small amount of competition by other herbivores in its environment, which has resulted in a form of gigantism in the species. Stegouros uses its mass and size to counteract and block attacks dealt by large predators ranging from direbears, direwolves and daeodons to carnotaurus and yutyrannus. In its natural environment of Chile, Stegouros would have thrived in a tropical and lush environment with abelisaurids, sauropods and ornithischian dinosaurus and in size. Stegouros elengassen has estimated to be a third of the size of a person, and is sometimes depicted as an ankylosaurid version of a thorny devil (a lizard species that lives in Australia). S. geliagros is twice the size of its cousin and instead flourishes in a colder based landscape. This could be because this subspecies has a connection to Antarctopelta and Kunbarrasaurus, relatives to Stegouros that lived on the continents of Antarctica and Australia and are both speculated by palaeontologists to similar builds and both a similar tail designs. In this new habitat, Stegorous also has adapted to a different diet and feeding style. Stegorous has a diet consisting of moss, conifer needles, berries, and ferns and if food is harder to reach. Stegorous can use its small plate segments or scutes (this feeding method would be considered a weight and feeding disadvantage in other ankylosaurids) to lift its neck upwards to reach the branches of conifers or deciduous trees and nip away at leaves, needles or fruits (depending on the biome - benefits its diet and feeding style). This adaptive method saves the animal energy and allows it to adjust to any environment changes. The anatomy behind Stegouros's skeletal system shows how the animal had a major weak spot near its head. Unlike other ankylosaurids, Stegouros has no major osteoderm plates behind its head and neck area, but instead a majority of its armour is found in the back of the animal around the tail and legs. This speculates that the ankylosaurids method of defence is based around its blindspot near the back of the animal. This is a repellent towards being ambushed from behind by a large predator. The legs of Stegouros are stoat in shape and help allow the animal to carry the weight of its tail and the scutes along its body. These scutes range in shape, as some on the osteoderms on the sides of the animal are sharp in triangular shape, and could be compared to nodosaurids. Abilities These are our suggestions for the abilities of Stegouros: Due to the shape of the bladed plates running down the tail of Stegouros, the animal has a chance of causing a 25% major bleed effect for 30 seconds when in melee combat. This also has a 10-15% chance of applying impaled. Stegouros has an ability known as "Scuted" which results in the Stegouros lowering its movement speed but increasing the amount of damage output by nearby tames (of the same tribe) and converts damage reduction from behind to 50% and the front to also 50%. This equalises the amount of damage that is dealt on the Stegouros and improves defence. When activated the ankylosaurid stands on its hind legs and then falls down, this activates the ability for a span of 2.5. minutes. Stegouros has an alternative ability to "Scuted" called "Untapered!" which results in an increase in melee damage with the tail (by 10% every swing (can go up to a maximum of 50% increased melee damage in five swings)) and increases wood and thatch gathering with the tail. Stegouros has a 75% weight reduction towards wood and thatch in its inventory. Stegouros has a 80% damage reduction when attacked (melee and firearms) near the tail and the pelvis region. This is due to how parankylosaurids have a pelvis area that is reinforced with a thin sheet of bone that results in a "pelvis shield". Stegouros can attack with its tail or body slam into enemies using its bladed scutes that cover the side of the animal. This attack can cause a 15% impaled affect. Location Stegouros are found across Fjordur. From the conifer forests of Vannaland and Vardiland, the temperate forests and grasslands of Vardiland and the lush environments such as the swamps, beaches and tropical regions of Vanaheimr and Balheimr. They feed off of the mosses, ferns, leaves and/or needles of the conifers in temperate and boreal environments found across Fjordur. https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Mod:Fjordur Specific locations to find Stegouros include the Broken Meadows, Lindbjord Forest, Skadifjord, Forburg, Vardiland River regions and Vanaheimr Lake regions across the map. GPORTAL ARK: Survival Evolved - Welcome to Fjordur - GPORTAL Private Server Legacy An example of a common location of this species, is the Lindbjord Forest. Feeding off of mosses and leaves of temperate plants, the Lindbjord Forest is a a location where Stegouros geliagros breed and flourish in large numbers. A recommended location to tame this unique paranylosaurus. Any suggestions and comments please reply below. These are my team's suggestions, so all credit and reference goes to them. 20. ARK lacks a prehistroic Giraffe so I'm Submitting Sivatherium as my entry so we can finally have a cool Prehistroic Giraffe in ARK and i think with its unique horns, I see Sivatherium being a really cool Living Catapult. Wild I've seen alot of prehistroic mammals in my time but I've never seen a Prehistoric Giraffe let alone it being the largest prehistroic relative. Sivatherium Flingerrum is a very strange creature on this ARK mainly its large horns. Unlike Modern Day Giraffes, They're very sharp and wide and I've seen even wild ones pick up and hurl Large boulders at attackers with them. They also use their horns to get the delicious sap from trees to supplement their weak stomachs as Sivatherium's have a case of a sick stomach causing them to hurl up their lunch. Domesticated The Sivatherium's love for sap is so strong, Sivatherium is easily tamed by letting it lick the sap off any nearby Survivor. Just don't get covered in its vomit after it takes some sap from you. Once tamed, Sivatherium's large horns provide huge utility in raids turning it into a living catapult able to hurl boulders or jars of pitch at enemy bases. They also have such a good run speed able to run long distances without consuming stm and are able to carry large loads for either raids or resource harvesting. And despite the nasty vomit, I've seen survivors use it as a substitute for spoiled meat due to its putred smell and taste. Sivatherium is a tame all tribes should have in many unique ways despite their weird behaviors. Left Click: Horn Slam Right Click: Stomp C Key: Catapult Mode (Able to Launch Catapult Boulders and Jars of Pitch from its Horns) Other Abilities: Sprints without consuming Stm, High Wght Stat, Gather Sap from any tree, Vomit acts as Spoiled Meat substitute Taming: Let it Lick Sap out of your Inventroy Saddle Lv: 30
  21. Timurlengia is a small tyrannosaurid about the size of deinonychus, 10 ft long. it was feathery like the yutyrannus, in ark fjordur it would be slower but tankier than the raptor with higher torpor it would probably not spawn in packs it would be rideable (preferably right off the bat) and a rider would be able to use weaponry. some cool ideas are if it could disarm enemy players in pvp or break their weapons, if it could pull a chariot or carriage or something like that(maybe that someone could build on), if its feathers warmed the person that tamed it when they were right next to it or riding it in the cold(fjordur is really cold), and if there was danger nearby, the Timurlengia could warn the survivor that tamed it(referencing the creatures great sense of sight hearing and smell). maybe the survivor could tame the Timurlengia normally or with its egg but i think it would be more interesting if it had a unique taming process like having to heat it up or helping it kill things or something. PS i added Timurlengia in the previous vote and it got like two votes so i hope it gets more this time. Here is a Timurlengia picture I got of the internet if it isn't satisfactory google "Timurlengia".
  22. After noticing that the lamprey really doesn't have that many uses in Ark and is found on specific maps such as Abberation. My team and I wanted to suggest a more complex, tamable (without fishing baskets), rideable version of jawless fish that would live in the oceans of the new, Nordic-based map coming to Ark Survival Evolved. As a new suggestion for an aquatic creature on Fjordur, my team and I have suggested Eptatretus arcaita (the Hagfish of the Ark). A subspecies of Hagfish that has adapted to the freezing ocean floor of Fjordur, and feeds on anything large enough to fit in its mouth. 14 Fun Facts About Hagfish | Science ... smithsonianmag.com Common Name: Eptatretus Species: Eptatretus arcaita Time: Carboniferous to Holocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Opportunistic Tameable: Yes Rideable: Yes Breedable: Yes Torpidity Immune: Yes Taming Method: Passive Preferred Kibble: Regular Kibble Preferred Food: Raw Prime Fish Meat Equipment: N/A Rider Weaponry: No Humans Can Carry: No Found scurrying through the depths of the Fjordur oceans, Eptatretus arcaita is a subspecies of Eptatretus (genus) Hagfish that has flourished from the Carboniferous Period to the present day Holocene. Feeding off of the remains of dead organisms, these hagfish have grown to tremendous sizes to compete against other carnivorous species found in the darkest depths of the bottom of the ocean. Hagfish are jawless fish that flourished on our planet for more than 500 million years, and are living fossils. These "fish"-like vertebrates are primarily known for their unique appearance and methods of self-defence, such as their use of slime. Hagfish use a protein solution known as "mucin" that they release in the form of a slime-like mixture, to clog up the gills of opposing fish. However, Eptatretus arcaita has evolved a secondary use of this slime, as an ability in snaring prey. Food and nutrients is one of the most important concepts for survival in the depths, so as an alternative to searching for rotting flesh. Eptatretus arcaita will create net-like structures from their slime, as a way of catching smaller fish, trilobites and aquatic mollusks such as cephalopods. Since hagfish are members of Agnatha (jawless fish), in order to bite down on prey. Hagfish have two sets of teeth-like structures made of keratin that allow them to bite chunks of flesh out of decaying animal remains. Primarily scavengers, Eptatretus uses this adaptation to bite through the carcasses and corpses of large aquatic beasts such as basilosaurus, leedsichthys and megalodon that end up rotting on the ocean floor. Going head first into the carcass, hagfish burrow into the rotting flesh and will eat the remains from inside out. This species would be a new horror to look out for, when traversing the deep, freezing seas of Fjordur. https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn20993-zoologger-slime-killer-hagfish-feasts-in-rotten-flesh/ Abilities: These are our suggestions for Eptatretus. When Ridden, Eptatretus can shoot slime projectiles at enemies, this can both deal damage and stun opponents. If attacked or harmed, the ooze-like protein solution that covers the Eptatretus's skin can be released into the surrounding water. This can stun and deal lethal amounts of damage to enemy players and tames, primarily fish (this includes Electrophorus, Dunkleosteus, Megalodon, Manta, Lamprey, Piranha, Coelacanth and Sabertooth Salmon). (Connected to the previous ability) Fish mounts can suffer a debuff known as "Mucined!". This debuff suffocates the health of both the player (if not wearing SCUBA gear) and nearby fish tames for 25 seconds. This debuff also slows the movement of the organism within that period of time (20 seconds). Hagfish don't have stomachs, this is a personal boost that lowers the amount of food that the Eptatretus needs to digest. Eptatretus can't be tranquillised and is torpor immune. Hagfish also don't have mouths, so when attacking prey. The Eptatretus will lash out and latch onto prey and use its keratinised teeth to bite through the hard skin of fish and arthropods such as trilobites. A secondary ability that Eptatretus arcaita can apply to itself, is known as "Coiled". This ability results in the Eptatretus curling into a makeshift ball (with the survivor intact) and reducing the amount of damage that opponents inflict on the hagfish and the rider. This increasing defence for 20-40 seconds (depending on the level ( Under level 75 = 20s, but over level 75 is 40s). Hagfish slime is incredibly endurant and is even considered bulletproof. This slime can be collected by the player and used to slime up and coat walls and foundations, this improving the strength and structure of buildings (for a limit of 30 minutes), and even lowering damage dealt by firearms. This also applies to the use of firearms in aquatic environments. The nets that Eptatretus produces can be used as a bulletproof shield (for a few seconds) that can block harpoon bolts and lower the amount of damage dealt by firearms. Eptatretus's kerationised teeth are designed for tearing into the flesh of rotting corpses. This also means that if in combat, these teeth can be used to cause a bleed affect (25% chance when in melee combat against aquatic tames, but a 50% chance when attacking an opposing survivor). The slime can be obtained by the player, from the Eptatretus's inventory (similar to harvesting oil from a basilosaurus). The slime can be set on fire, used in improving the defence of structures and in decreasing the damage dealt by firearms. Weaknesses In order to balance the abilities found in Eptatretus, we suggested a few disadvantages and weaknesses to not make this creature overpowered and unliked by the community, but also as way of suggesting methods of counteracting players who use this creature on PVP servers. Eptatretus can suffocate if pushed or grabbed out of water. Despite it's design, Eptatretus can still be netted by chain bolas and net projectiles if on land, and by fishing nets (Genesis Part 1). Eptatretus can't be tranquillised or starved to death, so the only other method of eliminating the hagfish, would be in using melee weapons (or using tames) such as swords and pikes when dealing with Eptatretus, as the slime can be cut through of, when using metal tools. Eptatretus is weak against marine and semi-aquatic reptiles (Sarcosuchus, Kaprosuchus, Spinosaurus, Plesiosaurus, Mosasaurus, Carbonemys and Ichtyhosaurus), mammals (Basilosaurus and Otters), and mollusks (Tusoteuthis). Eptatretus can only lash out and suction onto aquatic tames, but since it is a jawless fish. The only other form of damage that the hagfish can deal, is through using its kerationised teeth to cause the opponent to bleed to death. Even if the slime can cause players to get stunned and the hagfish can cause a 50% bleed affect, the biggest weakness towards the Eptatretu's performance against opposing tribes and survivors, is in SCUBA gear. SCUBA (and Tek) gear prevents the player from suffocating from the slime, and can give a small increase in protection towards the melee damage input from a Eptatretus. Location Flourishing in the depths of Fjordur, Eptatretus arcaita can be found in the ocean between Vardiliand, Blobjord and Vannaland, and along the coasts of Balheimr https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Mod:Fjordur The ocean between the four major land masses of Fjordur, is where Eptatretus can be found. Eptatretus can also be found along the warm coasts of the bottom right island of Balheimr, and flourish in the harsh conditions around the volcanic region. These are my team's suggestions, so all credit and reference goes to them. Comment and suggest below. Thanks. - MonstersHunters
  23. Common name: Megarachne Species: Megarachne Empusacheirus Time: Late Carboniferous (credit to my friend on discord MOSASAURUS) Wild: Patrolling the rivers of the "Vanaheim realm" of this perplexing ARK Megarachne Empusacheirus is nothing like M. servinei (to the point where I find it difficult to say its megarachne), for one it is much larger than its smaller relative, just as tall as Moloch Sagittarius (thorny dragon for non super biologists) , and is an active predator. It's eyes glow in a similar fashion to fish of the Anomalopidae genus and are usually a yellow colour but once an unlucky victim gets in its eyesight the glow turns red and Megarachne begins chase until the unlucky creature gets lucky and get's out of its grasp whether it be simply running away or killing megarachne or when megarachne kills the victim. The second abnormality is the mantis like claws (which can quickly turn into hand when it captures its victims) that allow it to climb like the ARK's Megalania and give fatal swiping attacks, it can also tuck in its legs and "crouches" in order to get into more (but not all) difficult to reach places such as cave entrances, when not crouching it can quickly sprint but will drain it's stamina very quickly. It also has abnormality is it's tail which is capable of shooting a web (that requires lots of time to charge up) that entraps the targets for a small amount of time. And it's final trick up it's chiton is strong armour on it's head. Domesticated: Taming Megarachne Epusacheirus is an incredibly dangerous but rewarding task. The armour on Megarachne's head makes any tranquillising shot on the head utterly useless but it's tail fortunately doesn't have this same luxury. Once tamed you have an incredible assassin with surprising agility, impressive "headgear", and the ability to go to places most other creatures of it's size can't. Some more clever tribes have found a way to create "patrol zones" where megarachne can patrol through the manmade zones and search for any possible threat that it's masters told it to hunt for. Megarachne, like every other creature has it's weakness. For one megarachne's "crouch" can't make it go everywhere, secondly it's tail is still vulnerable, bullets and the attacks of larger creatures/ strong melee weapons completely ignore the armour, the web shot is inaccurate and takes a while to charge up, megarachne can't see through walls, and it takes damage from fire more than other creatures. Megarachne is also definitely not a beast of burden and it's eggs/brood need to be incubated/raised underwater. The saddle is for only a single person, oh and also megarachne is a great oil and fish meat collector (more on fish meat) Gameplay: Megarachne patrols the rivers/bodies of water in Vahaheim in a similar fashion to how the E.M.M.I patrol the emmi zones of Metroid Dread just in a 3d space. Much of it's abilities are based on abilities that individual E.M.M.I have (such as the sprint), the head has armour but the tail doesn't. You can create "Megarachne points" These sticks when close enough create a line that tamed Megarachne can patrol in a similar way to how they do it in the wild (flashlight eyes). It is a standard knockout tame with the extra gimmick of the head, once knocked out it requires either spoiled meat, raw fish meat, prime fish meat, mutton, and Superior kibble. Saddle is classic one person. Eggs are layed in similar with other invertebrates of ARK but have the extra requirement of needed to be in water and the babies must stay in water until they are adults. Using plant z fruit also stops them in their tracks for a while. They have infinite oxygen and they gather increased oil and fish meat but obviously gather more fish meat than oil. When it captures a small to medium creature it instakills them but it leaves it vulnerable to other attackers and it can't attack large creatures. When captured a quick-time event happens (the sliding bar one) where you have a VERY small time window to escape. Yes is can swim like many other creatures but something to note; megarachne prefers not to swim and instead crawl on the ocean floor (it can still climb on underwater things like on land) the only time it swims is when its following something, told to go somewhere, told to attack something, and by riding it. It also has a tek saddle where it gains friggen tek berserker axes.
