  2. Species name: Erlikosaurus Andrewsi Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild This is not Erlikosaurus Andrewsi I once knew. It's not a normal Therizinosauroidea anymore. Instead, it's a literal, death itself. It's not fully sure that this dinosaur has any strong relationship with elements, but it's confirmed that Erlikosaurus is given some strange abilities by elements, including aggressive temperament. You might not want to caught by Erlikosaurus, since if you do, you'll become dust to dust by it's elemental fire breath. Domesticated I never thought Erlikosaurus could be tamed, but some tributes had successfully tamed this dinosaur. Once you tamed Erlikosaurus, it's going to be the greatest biotic weapon ever existed with its breath and powerful claws. Stats Health: 785 Stamina: 500 oxygen: 145 Food: 2700 Weight: 342 Melee damage: 47 (Claw Attack) Movement speed: 100% Torpidity: 960 General Info Erlikosaurus usually spawns in Forbidden Zone, Corrupted den, Secluded lake, and rarely in snow dome area. It is aggressive dinosaur like Therizinosaurus, and will attack player/tamed creatures if it gets too close in distance. Wild Erlikosaurus uses elemental fire breath to attack, just like Wyvern's fire. Elemental fire breath will increase player/tamed creature's torpidity. Wild Erlikosaurus dose not requires recharged element to shoot breath. This means it can shoot breath infinitely if its wild. Wild Erlikosaurus also does not make element traps. Wild Erlikosaurus drops Corrupted Heart and Erlikosaurus spikes when you kills it. In wild, Erlikosaurus is considered as part of corrupted dinos, but it dose not appears in OSD nor as minion in Titan boss fight. It's size is bigger than Carnotaurus, as almost same size as Therizinosaurus, but much smaller in weight. Taming Erlikosaurus can be tame with Passive taming. First, you need to feed elements to it. Since Erlikosaurus is aggressive, you need ghillie armor, like you encounter Gigantopithecus or Chalicotherium. You can also feed element shard or element dust. Here is basic chart of feedable items and number of them needed (based on level 1) Element: 20 Element shard: 36 Unstable Element: 14 Unstable Element Shard: 17 Element ore: 36 Element Dust: 45 Once Erlikosaurus fed needed amount of elements, it will gain power from element and becomes Friendly Mode for 12 minutes. Rest is similar to Charcarodontosaurus and equus; First, you need to ride on Erlikosaurus. And than. you need to hunt other creatures with Erlikosaurus. As you hunt creatures, you need to feed element stuffs to Erlikosaurus when it feels hungry. Like Equus, you have limited time to feed elements. If you successfully feed elements to Erlikosaurus in time, the taming gage will increase, but failing to this will result getting dismounted by Erlikosaurus and Erlikosaurus will become aggressive and attack you. keep feeding elements to complete taming. Erlikosaurus's taming effect will be based on what kinds of creatures you killed with Erlicosaurus and gained XP of Erlikosaurus. Corrupted Wyvern and Reaper will work best for Erlikosaurus's taming effect. Also, You cannot use elemental fire breath or create element trap while Erlikosaurus is in Friendly Mode. Abilities Normal Attack(left mouse click): 47 damage Tail Swing (keyboard C+left mouse click): 22 damage, with gashed effect Elemental fire Breath (right mouse click, recharged element needed): shoots fire from mouth, 5 tick damage, 100 damage total if hits directly. 4 shots consumes 1 recharged element. Breath swing (keyboard C+right mouse click, recharged element needed): swings fast with elemental fire breath, 56 damage if it hits anything. 2 shots consumes 1 recharged element. jump attack (key board C): jump and slams to the ground, 49 damage. producing recharged element: If you put element, unstable element, element shard, unstable element shard or element ore in Erlikosaurus's inventory, Erlikosaurus will constently produce item called Recharged Element, which is required to shoot Elemental Fire Breath. Element trap (Keyboard Crtl, recharged element needed): creates element trap that traps small to medium sized creatures. Affected creatures are same as Plant Species Y Trap. 1 trap uses 3 recharged elements. Reproduction Erlikosaurus's reproduction system is same as Therizinosaurus, except it only eats element stuffs for food, including for imprinting. Saddles Erlikosaurus can be rode without saddle, but you can also equip saddle. Saddle can be unlocked in level 57. variant Erlikosaurus has no variant but itself. It doesn't even have its own corrupted version, since Erlikosaurus itself is considered as corrupted dinosaur. Trivia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erlikosaurus Real Erlikosaurus has nothing to do with fire breathing stuffs, as you know.... I made up those element related abilities so it can fit in Extinction theme. Erilkosaurus's design was based off from Shin Godzilla (kamakura san). If Erlikosaurus added to the game, it will be the 2nd Therizinosauroidea adding to the game. Erlikosaurus's name means 'Erlik's Lizard'. Erlik is Mongolian god of death. If you like to see Erlikosaurus roaming on Extinction map, PLEASE VOTE!
  3. Elasmotherium is an extinct genus of large rhinoceros endemic to Eurasia during Late Miocene through to the Late Pleistocene, with the youngest reliable dates around 39,000 years ago. It was the last surviving member of Elasmotheriinae, a distinctive group of rhinoceroses separate from the group that contains living rhinoceros (Rhinocerotinae). The two groups are estimated to have split at least 35 million years ago according to fossils and molecular evidence. Five species are recognised. The genus first appeared in the Late Miocene in China, likely having evolved from Sinotherium, before spreading to the Pontic–Caspian steppe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. The best known, E. sibiricum, sometimes called the Siberian unicorn, was the size of a mammoth and is often conjectured to have born a single very large horn. However, no horn has ever been found, and other authors have conjectured that the horn was likely much smaller. Like all rhinoceroses, elasmotheres were herbivorous. Unlike any other rhinos and any other ungulates aside from some notoungulates, its high-crowned molars were ever-growing, and it was likely adapted for a grazing diet. Its legs were longer than those of other rhinos and were adapted for galloping, giving it a horse-like gait. In the game, it is twice the size of the Woolly Rhino, lives alone in the wasteland, and is extremely ferocious and has a very defensive personality, like the Therizinosaurus, it becomes hostile just by getting close to it. Masu. Especially when carnivores are nearby, they will now be given a buff called "Carnivore Killer", which will cause them to fight back when attacked. However, this rhino is good at lunging and impaling attacks using its horns, which are extremely effective against carnivores. This "carnivorous killer" effect is exerted not only on carnivores but also on contaminated creatures and Titans. The more you run, the faster your attack speed and attack power will increase, allowing you to stun and knock back your opponent. In addition, skewering attacks using horns are extremely effective against large carnivores such as Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus, and when skewered with horns, the stamina and defense of the skewered creature are greatly reduced. May inflict debuffs on Weakness, Bleeding, and Fractures. This attack can last until the opponent dies, and the skewered creature is unable to fight back. By the way, there is a low chance that when you defeat it, it will drop an "Elasmotherium Horn", which can be used as a substitute for the Woolly Rhino Horn. How to tame To tame this gigantic rhinoceros, you will need Ghillie equipment. If you don't have Ghillie equipment, you will definitely be hostile and will not be able to tame it, so be sure to wear Ghillie equipment. Passive taming is mainly done by hand-handed taming, but the bait used for taming is beer, and by hand-drinking beer, the taming gauge increases, but when the taming gauge rises to 50%, it becomes intoxicated or stops attacking. It will almost be in a temporary taming state. Please note that if you are attacked by yourself or another creature and become hostile while the taming gauge reaches 50%, the taming gauge will drop immediately and be reset, so please be careful. Then, when you are in a temporary tamed state, ride on a horse and hold down either the left or right key that appears on the screen in the same way as Andrewsarchus, and the taming gauge will rise. Unlike flat ground, walls and water can raise the taming gauge as it is, and the taming is completed when it reaches 100%. However, if you press the wrong key by mistake, you will be forced to ride a horse, and you will be made to be hostile. Also, there is a time limit of 30 minutes, and if you exceed this time, you will wake up, be forcibly removed from riding, and become hostile, so please be careful about that. After taming With a special saddle, you can ride a horse, and like in the wild, you can use a horned skewering attack that inflicts debuffs on your opponent, such as greatly reducing stamina, lowering defense power, bleeding, and breaking bones. The more you run, the faster your speed and attack power will be. increases, allowing you to use a charge that stuns and knocks back your opponent, and if there is a wild carnivore or tamed carnivore nearby, you will receive the "Carnivore Killer" buff. However, there is a TEK saddle, which has a sword-like device attached to its horns to electrocute opponents, and a Tek Phase Pistol on each hip, which can be used for attacks, recovery, etc. It also has pollution resistance, heat resistance, and cold resistance, and its physical strength and weight are set to be extremely high, making it excellent as both a tanker and a cargo transporter. 4. Brontornis is an extinct genus of giant bird that inhabited Argentina during the Early to Middle Miocene. Its taxonomic position is highly controversial, with authors alternatively considering it to be a cariamiform, typically a phorusrhacid (terror bird) or an anserimorph. The first fossils of Brontornis burmeisteri were described by paleontologists Francisco Moreno and Alcides Mercerart in 1891, the fossils being a left femur, tibiotarsus, fibula, and tarsometatarsus all from the same individual found in the Lower-Middle Miocene strata of the Santa Cruz Formation in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. In the same paper, two distal tibiotarsi from the same area were referred to Brontornis as well. Unknowingly, Moreno & Mercerat also named a species now seen as synonymous with Brontornis burmeisteri, Rostrornis floweri, that includes: various bill and skull fragments, seven vertebrae and fragments, femoral head, lower part of left femur, ectocondyle of right tibiotarsus. Some pedal phalanges and a trochleae of tarsometatarsus were also referred to the type, but they haven't been described in detail. These fossils were found in the lower Miocene Monte León Formation, one of the two formations the taxon is definitively known from. Some additional fossils, including a quadrate, were referred to Brontornis by Moreno & Mercerart in 1891, but these were dubiously referred. Mercerat named another taxon synonymized with Brontornis, Stephanornis princeps, in 1893, though the fossil is now lost so this assessment is unverifiable. Moreno's rival, Florentino Ameghino, also found fossils of Brontornis which he named Brontornis platyonyx in 1895 based on four pedal phalanges found at Monte Leon. The species has been synonymized with Brontornis. Ameghino also named Liornis floweri based on a distal tibiotarsus, distal tarsometatarsus, and two pedal phalanges of a juvenile that was synonymized with Brontornis in 1967. Liornis minor was also synonymized in 1967, but it has since been synonymized with Phorusrhacos. Callornis giganteus, another Ameghino taxon, may also be a synonym of Brontornis or a distinct close relative. Recently, the affinities of some Brontornis specimens has come into question due to the uncertain and debated phylogenetic position of the genus and its synonyms. In the game, they are three times the size of Terror Birds, and usually move in groups of three. They are belligerent and tend to aggressively attack surrounding creatures (including the player), especially large creatures such as Tyrannosaurus, Brontosaurus, and Spinosaurus. Moreover, the same applies to super large creatures such as Giganotosaurus. This is because this bird has a powerful beak that can cause "massive bleeding" and "major fractures", instantly killing players, medium-sized creatures such as raptors, and small creatures such as dodos. It is the power to do. They can attack even contaminated creatures regardless and easily kill them. Additionally, the bite attack with its beak has the effect of paralyzing large and colossal creatures, allowing them to be defeated while they are unable to move due to paralysis. Moreover, it can restrain players, small creatures, and medium-sized creatures with its beak, and can deal continuous damage. Tame This bird generates a nest at a specific location, and inside the nest is the bird's fertilized eggs. The player simply obtains the fertilized eggs, hatches them, and raises them into adults, but Brontornis and others are always watching over the nest, and the moment they try to approach the nest or steal the fertilized eggs, they will all be attacked. They will attack you all at once, so you have no choice but to escape with flying creatures such as Pteranodon or defeat them all on the spot. After taming It can be ridden without a saddle, and like in the wild, it can attack with its beak that causes "massive bleeding" and "major fractures," and can paralyze large and colossal creatures. And with its beak, it can bind players, small creatures, and medium-sized creatures, allowing them to carry them around or continue to do damage. Eating corpses also gives you a buff that makes you 5x faster, just like in the wild. However, by attaching a saddle, it will be even more powerful. This is because the saddle has a function that enables gliding, and the beak is protected with metal when the saddle is present. Its metal-protected beak allows it to collect various materials, and its attacks deal five times more damage than normal. Also, like the TEK equipment on the legs, you will be able to run faster and faster, and in some cases you will be able to warp and move. If you have any other good ideas, please let us know in the comments.
  5. Introducing the Giant Porcupine, or Hystrix Refossa Maximus, ARK's best Endgame Mammalian Herbivore. Once hailing from the Pleistocene, is not bulked up in giant size, ready to dominate the ARK's. General Information: Common Name: Giant Porcupine Species: Hystrix Refossa Maximus Time: Pleistocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Defensive Credit for the artwork of this piece goes to my good friend Bryan, I really appreciate it. Wild: I have heard legends of a giant porcupine that roams across the lands of the arks, and with these rodents’ reaching sizes that dwarf some of its primeval neighbors that it inhabits these dangerous lands with. It wasn’t until I saw one of these lumbering beasts in the flesh that my mind changed. Absolutely out scaling its extinct relatives by immeasurable magnitude, the Hystrix Refossa Maximus massive size beats the rugged Stegosaurus in length, while the top of its hind quills exceeded the height of the top of the head of a Tyrannosaurus. It is truly a humbling and flooring thing to see. As far as behavior goes, Hystrix Refossa is constantly chewing and harvesting wood to keep its massive front teeth filed down, and lumbers around the fields of the island mowing down berries and shrubs that grow in abondance. As you can assume, this creature’s defense is unmatched, even beating the spiky Kentrosaurus in defensive powers. Unless near the edge of starvation, even the largest of creatures do not mess with the Hystrix Refossa, knowing that the risk is much less worth than its reward. The Hystrix Refossa has also seemed to have beaten the myth that porcupines cannot shoot its quills. This rodent can fire quills by whipping its torso, and such contortions fling quills, causing much bleed to any creature unfortunate enough to be caught in the crossfire. Domestication: While I have never done it myself, I have heard legends of the most daring tribes learning to harness the power of this giant rodent to have it as base defense, or offensive raids. Though Hystrix Refossa is domesticated by traditional methods of torpidity, survivors must be careful of the retaliation of this creature. Not only merely touching this beast will impale quills into the body, once the porcupine is filled with enough narcotic projectiles, the Hystrix Refossa can fire these quills laced with the sleepy toxins back at its attackers, increasing the change that a survivor can be stabbed back with its own tranquilizer projectiles, and risking falling asleep in the middle of taming this intense creature. But, once it is finally tamed, its rewards are certainly worth using it as a valuable war asset. Tamed: Once Hystrix Refossa is tamed for a tribe of daring individuals, several uses can be taken place with the use and execution of this creature. Being a rodent, Hystrix is almost as proficient at harvesting wood as its beaver cousins, as well as surprisingly harvesting crystals and gems at very surprising rates. Perhaps its buck teeth and strong jaws chip the crystal away easier than other creatures. On the offensive side, a bite from the Hystrix is extremely painful. Its buck teeth cause major gnashing damage, rivaling even Therizinosaurs in its damage. Along with its foul bite, its quills are a whole other monster. Survivors have figured out a way to train the Hystrix to fire these on command. Unlike the Yi Ling, Hystrix almost never runs out of quills, but like the Yi Ling, the quills can be laced with different materials to experience different effects. The Hystrix is also a naturally intimidating creature. Hystrix can contract its muscles together, forcing the quills to become fully erect, and almost double the appearing size of this creature. If resting quills reach the top of a Tryrannosaurus head, then contracted quills reach heights nearing the Gigonotosaurus, causing intimidations to even some of the most dangerous of creatures. Lastly, if it weren’t enough, this beast can roll at slow speeds if caught in a rough situation. I can only imagine the damage done to the poor souls that intercept a rolling Hystrix. Size comparison of Hystrix Refossa against the in-game "T-rex" EXTRA INFORMATION OF THE HYSTRIX REFOSSA MAXIMUS Diet (In order of taming effectiveness): Wood Stimberry Amarberry, Azuelberry, and Tintoberry Mejoberry All Crops Sweet Vegetable Cake Honey Extraordinary Kibble SADDLE INFORMATION (General Information and Primitive Recipe Requirements) Being such a large sized creature, the Hystrix Refossa can seat 3 riders comfortably. This is obtainable by the main saddle rider, positioned near the top of the porcupines back. This rider is the controller of the creature. The other two seats are positioned on the sides of the creature, one on the left, and one on the right. These side riders are in a prone position, lying flat on a sheet of hide and metal, being protected from the quills. Since these riders being prone, that have 100 percent access to use equipment such as firearms, crossbows, net guns, and any shoulder-positioned equipment, or pistols and flare guns. Recipe: 400 Metal Ingots 350 Hide 75 Fiber 150 Chitin/Keratin 200 Cementing Paste 150 Crystal 75 Silica Pearls HYSTRIX REFOSSA MAXIMUS ABILITY INFORMATION: Bite (Left Click): Using its large incisors, Hystrix can bite with extreme force. While this attack isn’t the fastest attack that creatures possess, it can cause gnash damage and is the highest damage-per-attack of any herbivore base melee in the game. Quill Projectile (Right Click, with directional aiming from visual positioning): Hystrix beats folklore and can fling its quills at opponents. Survivors have learned its ultimate use, and that is to carefully apply certain viscous materials to these quills, then fire the projectiles. These are the materials, and its effects: Narcotics: Taming Leech Blood: Swamp Fever Bio Toxin: Electric Shock Spark Powder + Cementing Paste: Chance to Spark a Flame Clay: Blindness Intimidation Factor (C): Hystrix can contort its muscles to intimidate wild and tamed creatures in a confrontation. Can be very useful in situations where an enemy tribe is raiding, or to cause troublesome creatures to tuck tail and run. Swat (X): Hystrix can use its large mammalian paws to swat away other creatures, while not doing to much damage, it can do knock-back to creatures as large as a Tyrannosaurus. Roll (Space): Though not as fast as a Roll Rat, Hystrix can curl its body into a role, and propel itself downhill, either to escape a confrontation, or to initiate an attack. It can impale creatures upon its impact. Once a roll is initiated, a sheet of glass and metal envelops the controller, but not the two side riders, which can cause disorientation to the side riders if the travel is to long (Think the side riders got hit off their tame by a Microraptor, something similar to that effect) Passive Quill Damage: If any creature was to bite, swipe, or hit Hystrix on the back 80 percent of its body, it is in for a sharp and damaging surprise, being impaled by its 7-foot quills, in some cases. These quills cause bleeding and will stack if the Hystrix is hit by the same creature more than once when the bleed is over. Being impaled by a quill adds a new mechanic to the game. Similar to getting rid of leeches, survivors must pluck these quills off of themselves and their tames. If these quills are not removed, it causes a permanent de-buff the creature or survivors total HP. Once removed, they can regenerate to max health, but also will cause another bleed cycle once removed. HARVESTABLE MATERIALS BY THE HYSTRIX REFOSSA MAXIMUS (In Order of Effectiveness) Wood Crystal (All Types) Gems (All Types) Thatch Fiber Berries (Of all Kinds, except Narcoberry) Narcoberry Porcupine Quills (Harvesting From other Dead Porcupines; passively from itself over time) HARVESTABLE MATERIALS UPON HYSTRIX REFOSSA MAXIMUS DEATH Harvesting a Hystrix Refossa by a player or a tame is not safe. It’s even a risk harvesting it , due to its quills. Though it does less damage if it were alive, those spikes still pack a punch, even after the creature is expired. Raw Meat Raw Prime Meat Porcupine Quills Hide EXTRA INFORMATION ABOUT HYSTRIX REFOSSA MAXIMUS Hystrix is naturally a passive creature, just ensure you do not accidentally touch a wild one. If this happens, you will get poked by its quills, then will become aggressive. Hystrix quills do not do damage to one another, but the individual melee damages one another (A porcupine can not hurt another porcupine with its quills, the same way Fire Wyverns can’t damage other Fire Wyverns with its breath attack, but can with bites) Hystrix are not very fast travelers, running slow, but with a surprisingly effective turning radius. Hystrix has the highest base melee of any herbivore in the game, slightly giving an edge to Theris, but have mediocre health and extremely low weight. Hystrix are not fast swimmers at all, and have one of the worst oxygen bars in the game. Hystrix can be picked up by Rhynonathia, Quetzals and wyverns, but doing insane damage to them while being carried, almost making it not worth it. Hystrix drop a new item, called Porcupine Quills. They can be obtained in several ways and have a variety of uses. They can rarely drop of wild Hystrix, obtained most from killing a wild Hystrix, or passively obtained from a tamed one. Once obtained, these quills can be applied to openable surfaces such as crafting stations, storage, or doors. They can also be applied to armour, able to be applied to flak, fur, riot, or chitin armour. Once a dino or another survivor hits someone wearing them, they get the same exact effect as they would if they attacked the Hystrix itself, just at a smaller, less dangerous scale. Hystrix and Theris are now tied in the best herbivores in the game for PvP, or PvE engagements, with these two being front runners for the Dragon boss fight. Being a rodent, Hystrix Refossa NEEDS to have constant wood in its inventory for it to eat and gnaw on. If Hystrix does not have wood/fungal wood/thatch to chew on, its large buck teeth begin to grow, restricting the room it can use its formidable bite. If it has wood to chew, it files its teeth down, and allows access for more room in its jaws to apply incredible pressure to the bite force. Hystrix Refossa is somewhat like the abilities of Yi Ling, but with some differences. The substances that can be applied to Hystrix are needed to craft or find, then apply to Hystrix, which engages in a small quick-time mini-game to apply to the quills, to ensure you do not get impaled. Yi Ling’s feathers are finite and are classified by ability after consumption of the creature but require no mini game to apply. Hystrix will never run out of quills but take very large chunks out of the rodents’ stamina, needing quick breaks. HYSTRIX REFOSSA IN THE REAL WORLD Hystrix Refossa was a species of old-world porcupine that lived in the Pleistocene era, hailing from most regions of Eurasia. Also known as the Giant European Porcupine, it is a direct ancestor of its cousin, the African Crested Porcupines, and the Indian Crested Porcupine, which it is the closest relative to the ladder, who hail from Africa and India, respectfully. (Mind Blowing, huh?). As a matter of fact, Hystrix Refossa is depicted to look almost identical to its two closest relatives, just having a much larger size, being roughly 20 percent larger than the aforementioned relatives.
  6. Danielsraptor (meaning "Michael Daniels's thief") is an extinct genus of masillaraptorid bird from the Early Eocene (Ypresian) Walton Member of the London Clay Formation in Essex, United Kingdom. The genus contains a single species, D. phorusrhacoides, known from a partial skeleton. The Danielsraptor fossil material was discovered in layers of the London Clay Formation (Walton Member), dated to the early Ypresian. This formation is located near Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex, England. The holotype, NMS.Z.2021.40.12, was collected in 1991 by Michael Daniels (who the taxon is named after). This specimen consists of a partial skeleton including the skull, vertebrae, fragmentary wing bones, elements of the pectoral girdle, pelvis, the majority of the legs, and various bone fragments still partially enclosed in matrix. An additional referred specimen, NMS.Z.2021.40.13, was found by Daniels in 1986. This specimen includes a partial sternum, right coracoid, scapula, furcula, and pygostyle. In 2022, Gerald Mayr and Andrew C. Kitchener described Danielsraptor phorusrhacoides, a new genus and species of masillaraptorid, based on these fossil remains. The generic name, "Danielsraptor", honours Michael Daniels, who collected and studied bird fossils from the type locality. This is combined with the Latin "raptor", meaning "thief", in reference to a vernacular term for birds of prey. The specific name, "phorusrhacoides", references the extinct "terror bird" clade Phorusrhacidae, whose members had a similar bill shape. The describing authors concluded that Danielsraptor had a body shape very similar to the middle Eocene Masillaraptor of Germany. It had long legs, which may indicate that it had a terrestrial lifestyle, foraging on the ground similar to modern caracaras. It had a large pygostyle, indicating that it would have likely had long tail feathers. This, in addition to its long ulna, suggests that it was capable of well-developed flight. Its beak was similar to those of extinct phorusrhacids and extant caracaras. In the game, they mainly inhabit wastelands, snowy mountain areas, and desert areas, and are twice the size of raptors. It is good at running quickly, just like a giant roadbill, and like a cassowary, it is good at attacking with its legs, but its attacks have the effect of breaking the bones of its opponents. It is also capable of long-distance flight, and is about the second fastest of Pteranodon. However, the only creatures with long legs that can be grabbed are small creatures and players. How to tame To tame this bird, simply put it into a coma and tame it. However, the only food he can feed is battle tartare steak, and that's all he eats. Therefore, you will need to prepare a large amount of Battle Tartare Steak to tame. After taming It can be ridden without a saddle, moves like an Equus, and flies like a Pteranodon. Attacks with the legs can also cause fractures, just like in the wild. But there is a saddle, and that saddle is a full TEK saddle, allowing you to do super fast dashes, barrel rolls, and warps. So that saddle makes it a perfect migratory bird. If you have any other good ideas, please let us know in the comments.
  7. Percrocuta is an extinct genus of hyena-like feliform carnivores. It lived in Europe, Asia, and Africa, during the Miocene epoch. With a maximum length of 1.50 m (5 ft), Percrocuta was much bigger than its modern relatives, but is not smaller than a 1.8 meters length for female lion. Like the spotted hyena, Percrocuta had a robust skull and powerful jaws. Similar to Modern hyenids, its hind legs were shorter than the front legs, resulting in a characteristic sloping back. Percrocuta was introduced as a genus of Percrocutidae in 1938. Percrocuta's relation to the family Hyaenidae was debated until 1985, when Percrocuta, Dinocrocuta, Belbus, and Allohyaena were accepted as the four genera of Percrocutidae. More recent evidence, however, has shown that Belbus and Allohyaena at least, are not percrocutids. P. abessalomi is known only from a skull, two mandibles, and two teeth. These fossils were all collected from the Belomechetskaja, Georgia area and date from the sixth Mammal Neogene (MN) zone. This species is the best known of the family Percrocutidae P. miocenica is known from only a few mandibles, found in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey. These fossils are also dated to MN 6. In the game, it is a neutral carnivore that acts alone, and attacks to counterattack when attacked, but perhaps because it is a hyena, the attacks of this creature can have a bone fracture effect on the opponent, and May trigger Mega Rabies at the same time. This is effective against other creatures as well as the player, especially against contaminated creatures, causing 5 times the normal amount of damage and 5 times the amount of broken bones, and causing Mega Rabies to suffer. How to tame He has an almost calm personality, so it's usually a passive tame by hand. However, the only bait used is Shadow Steak, and it will eat only that. Also, if the player accidentally attacks or is attacked by another creature, the taming gauge will be reset, so you need to be careful when taming. After that, feed the Shadow Steak, and when the taming gauge reaches 100%, the taming is complete. After taming You can ride a horse by attaching a saddle, but the saddle is equipped with various weapons, and you can use the following weapons. 1, jot machine It has a Jot plane, which is used to dash away from enemies or glide across distances. 2, assault rifle An assault rifle is mounted on its head, allowing it to carry out indiscriminate attacks even from a distance. 3, detector It is a device that allows you to understand what kind of creatures are around you, and from there you can learn about your enemies. 4, flame radiation He has flamethrowers on each of his hips, and can shoot flames from them. 5, environmental guard protection barrier A protective barrier is automatically applied to the mounted player to protect against environmental debuffs (e.g. heatstroke, freezing, etc.). If you have any other good ideas, let us know in the comments.
  8. introducing.... Lambeosaurus Lambei Simple Description: Lambeosaurus would be one very few of the apexes of the herbivores, with strength that matches its size. Lambeosaurus' defining ability would be a drawn-out loud roar that stretches on for as long as you're holding the specific button down. It drains stamina and eventually oxygen (when stam runs out, don't use it for too long!) The ability would be like a turret with no bullets. It would also have a stomp attack, which would be its most powerful. It would have a bite/chomp attack too. Lambeosaurus heals faster when near its own species (wild + tamed) but heal slightly slower when near enemy carnivores. In the wild it attacks all carnivores on sight (maybe even gigas?!) and naturally herds towards other plant eaters. It would be slower than a rex when running, but a little faster than one when swimming. Common Name: Lambeosaurus Species: Lambeosaurus Lambei Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Defensive Wild: Discovering Lambeosaurus Lambei was a truly beautiful and breath-taking sight; and one you can survive as long as you don't hurt it or get too close! This gigantic hadrosaur is even able to rival Tyrannosaurus with its devastating strength and abilities. One of Lambeosaurus' many defenses against carnivores is using its booming voice, letting out a lengthy and deadly battle-cry that is able to make even the steeliest of minds tremble. It can reach high frequencies that can permanently damage and even deafen the creatures around it, and it is heavily suggested that you wear ear protection near any sort of Lambeosaurus or simply stay far enough away from it. Lambeosaurus also is unique in regards to its behavior. The creature naturally gravitates towards other herbivores, either its fellow Lambeosaurus' or other plant eating species, and even heals faster when it is resting near its own kind. Observing Lambeosaurus behavior and interactions with carnivores is another story entirely. Lambeosaurus is quite the opposite with meat eating creatures, and attacks them on sight out of what I can only assume is to be pure unnecessary hatred. Domesticated Taming a Lambeosaurus is more a test of your patience if anything. After watching many failed attempts and a few from myself, I have concluded that you should never bring a carnivorous mount to the creature. It is best to relocate or erase carnivores nearby entirely. I have also discovered that tranquilizers and narcotics are ineffective on this beast during the taming process, perhaps from the adrenaline boost it gets when in battle. The use of Lambeosaurus has been entirely for battles to the death, able to stand against Tyrannosaurus and other large apex predators with mighty ease, and due to this Lambeosaurus is an incredibly worthy and fearless addition to have in your tribe. Attacks: Stomp: Right Click (PC), Right Toggle (Xbox) Booming Roar: C (PC), Right Button (Xbox) Bite: Left Click (PC), Left Toggle (Xbox) Abilities Analysis: Shattering Stomp: An attack that deals the largest amount of damage, it sends raptor-sized creatures flying, and gives rex-sized creatures slight knockback. It shatters the ground and creatures a large dust cloud, blinding creatures caught in it. Booming Roar: An attack that damages all creatures (excluding tamed creatures or humans wearing ear protection like ear muffs) in a large radius, acting as a turret. If exposed to this ability for too long, players will start experiencing muffled noises and a blurry screen. This ability uses up stamina, and afterwards drains oxygen once stamina is gone. The roar will noticeably shift and become more hoarse if oxygen is starting to be used. The booming roar ability also encourages its allies nearby, though not as well as a Yutyrannus. Draining Bite: An attack that deals the least amount of damage, being a simple chomp attack. It also inflicts a small amount of torpor. Stronger Together: A passive healing ability that initates when near other Lambeosaurus', both wild and tamed. Weary: A passive decrease in how fast the Lambeosaurus will heal. This happens when its near 3 or more enemy carnivores. Although this can be countered by the Stronger Together ability with another Lambeosaurus present. How To Tame: To tame a Lambeosaurus is a unique feat. You must encounter the Lambeosaurus on a herbivore only, as if will attack your carnivore mount if you try to tame it. The Lambeosaurus will let out a loud bellow, and it will initiate a brawl. You must last for as long as possible and get the Lambeosaurus down to 30% health. Once it reaches that point, the Lambeosaurus will bow, and get closer to its herd (if there are any other Lambeosaurus') and rest. Once asleep, you must defend the Lambeosaurus until it wakes. During this time, predators will be attracted to the Lambeosaurus and try to attack it. Defend it until it wakes, and you will have successfully tamed a Lambeosaurus! Stats Analysis: A Lambeosaurus would be incrediblg beefy in health and have decent stamina, although that is what you would want to upgrade the most. It has a poor amount of Oxygen. It does decent/pretty good damage. Utilities: PvP: For PvP, it would be a pure battle mount and or possible boss dino. Due to its booming roar ability, it would act as a sort of turret with a large radius. It would be a truly devastating force of nature to encounter on the battle field; enemies beware! PvE: For PvE, it would be more a defensive creature/possible travel mount. It can scale many rocks and cliffs with ease, and can get you to point A and point B in a guaranteed safe manner. It could also be used as a gatherer Gathering: It would be a decent berry gatherer, and can gather thatch in large quantities. With its shattering stomp, it could crush rocks and gather flint. Saddle: For the design, it was mostly inspired off of the Parasaurs saddle. It would also have a customizable flag for your tribe! Colors: Regions up until 2 would consist of darker, duller coloes, such as browns, grays, whites, blacks, etc. 3+ regions would be mucher brighter colors!
  9. Brachiosaurus (/ˌbrækiəˈsɔːrəs/) is a genus of sauropod dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Jurassic, about 154 to 150 million years ago. It was first described by American paleontologist Elmer S. Riggs in 1903 from fossils found in the Colorado River valley in western Colorado, United States. Riggs named the dinosaur Brachiosaurus altithorax; the generic name is Greek for "arm lizard", in reference to its proportionately long arms, and the specific name means "deep chest". Brachiosaurus is estimated to have been between 18 and 22 meters (59 and 72 ft) long; body mass estimates of the subadult holotype specimen range from 28.3 to 46.9 metric tons (31.2 and 51.7 short tons). It had a disproportionately long neck, small skull, and large overall size, all of which are typical for sauropods. Atypically, Brachiosaurus had longer forelimbs than hindlimbs, which resulted in a steeply inclined trunk, and a proportionally shorter tail. Brachiosaurus is the namesake genus of the family Brachiosauridae, which includes a handful of other similar sauropods. Most popular depictions of Brachiosaurus are in fact based on Giraffatitan, a genus of brachiosaurid dinosaur from the Tendaguru Formation of Tanzania. Giraffatitan was originally described by German paleontologist Werner Janensch in 1914 as a species of Brachiosaurus, B. brancai, but moved to its own genus in 2009. Three other species of Brachiosaurus have been named based on fossils found in Africa and Europe; two are no longer considered valid, and a third has become a separate genus, Lusotitan. The type specimen of B. altithorax is still the most complete specimen, and only a few other specimens are thought to belong to the genus, making it one of the rarer sauropods of the Morrison Formation. It is regarded as a high browser, possibly cropping or nipping vegetation as high as 9 meters (30 ft) off the ground. Unlike other sauropods, it was unsuited for rearing on its hindlimbs. It has been used as an example of a dinosaur that was most likely ectothermic because of its large size and the corresponding need for sufficient forage, but more recent research suggests it was warm-blooded. Among the most iconic and initially thought to be one of the largest dinosaurs, Brachiosaurus has appeared in popular culture, notably in the 1993 film Jurassic Park. In-game, it is three times the size of a Brontosaurus and half the size of a Titanosaurus. It usually has a gentle personality, but when attacked, it will roar with anger, grant a buff, and then become hostile. Roar of Fury is a buff that increases attack power, speed, and defense, and grants coma resistance, pollution resistance, cold resistance, and heat resistance. In this state, the main attacks are trampling attacks using the legs and mowing attacks using the tail. How to tame Brachiosaurus has a nest in a specific location, and the nest always contains a huge fertile egg. Once you get the fertilized eggs, all you have to do is hatch them and raise them to become adults. However, there are always Brachiosaurus watching near the nest, and the moment they take the fertilized eggs, they attack all at once. At that time, you will need to escape as fast as you can by riding on a flying creature such as a pteranodon. After taming You can ride a horse with a special saddle, and there are three types of saddles. The first is a regular saddle, the second is a platform for building a base, and the third is a TEK saddle. Just like in the wild, it is possible to use trampling attacks and mowing attacks, as well as buffs with ``Roar of Anger''. However, the platform saddle used to create the second base allows you to freely create a base. The TEK saddle has a beam on its head that consumes elements and can be used to attack from a distance, and on its back it can fire TEK missiles that consume elements and is best used on horseback. It will be covered with a barrier to prevent debuffs from being applied to players who are in it. This makes it very useful in the fight against contaminated creatures and the battle against the Titans. Especially when it comes to Titans, the TEK saddle is the best choice for fighting Titans, as they are twice as powerful as normal against their weak points. 10. Hello dear survivors, today I present to you the incredible Sibyllinae Arboreal Mimic is an extraordinary creature that evolved after being exposed to the mysterious compound Element on planet Earth, during the events that led to the desert of Element on the map Extinction, in the game ARK: Survival Ascended. This description will detail its characteristics, including sexual dimorphism. Sexual Dimorphism: One of the most striking characteristics of the Sibyllinae arboreaimitatus is the pronounced sexual dimorphism. Females of this species are notably larger than males, an intriguing evolutionary adaptation. While females can reach dimensions comparable to that of a Tyrannosaurus rex, males are generally about half the size. Size: Comparable to a Tyrannosaurus rex, females of this species stand out as some of the most imposing creatures in the Elemental wasteland. Camouflage: Both sexes possess the unique chameleonic ability to resemble a burnt tree in the Elemental Desert. This camouflage is used to ambush prey and avoid threats. Deadly Jaws: Both males and females have extremely powerful jaws, capable of crushing prey and even defending themselves against predators. Agility: Amazing agility is a trait common to both sexes, but more pronounced in males, allowing them to quickly change position when necessary, whether to hunt or escape danger. Wild Behavior: The Sibyllinae Arboreal Mimic is notoriously solitary and territorial, regardless of gender. They camouflage themselves like scorched trees, remaining motionless for long periods until prey or threats approach. When they detect a hunting opportunity or a potential threat, they quickly change posture, revealing their deadly jaws and striking with precision. ATAQUES!: Universal Attacks (Works on Both Genders): Predatory Bite: The Sibyllinae Arboreal Mimic lashes out with its powerful jaws, dealing significant damage to the target. This attack is effective both for hunting prey and defending against threats. Stealth Strike: Utilizing its chameleon ability, the Sibyllinae camouflage itself like a scorched tree and launch a surprise attack when prey approaches, delivering a powerful blow. Charge Attack: With its surprising agility, the creature can make a swift charge against its opponents, dealing considerable damage and even knocking down smaller targets. Male Exclusive Attacks: Sneak Attack: Males are remarkably agile and can execute a sneak attack, silently moving behind their prey and delivering a precise, deadly blow. Sequential attacks: when these attacks are enabled, you will have to set a certain time (which will appear on the screen) to increase the male's attack speed, which can reach a maximum of 200%. Female Exclusive Attacks: Devastating Smash: Females, due to their impressive size, have the ability to perform a crushing attack that can shatter prey and structures with ease. This attack is especially effective in siege situations. Menacing Scream: Females can emit a terrifying scream that temporarily stuns nearby prey and threats. This allows them to gain a tactical advantage in combat. Domestication methods: Camouflage Dance Steps for Males: 1.Careful Observation: The tamer must carefully observe the males in their natural habitat, studying their movements and behavior. 2. Imitative Dance: The tamer must learn and practice an imitative dance that reproduces the characteristic movements of Sibyllinae males. This can include agile movements such as jumping, sliding and turning. 3. Ritual of Approach: With the imitative dance mastered, the tamer must approach the males with the dance, imitating their movements and behavior. This establishes a form of communication and respect between the tamer and the creature. 4.Gradual Taming: Over time, the males will allow the tamer to come closer and closer, allowing him to gently touch their jaws and vulnerable areas. Domestication takes place gradually, as trust is built. 5.Integration in the Tribe: Once tamed, Sibyllinae males can be integrated into the tribe or team of survivors, where their agility and skills can be used for tasks such as hunting and reconnaissance. Steps of Camouflaged Harmony for Females: 1. Collective Approach: The tamer should approach Sibyllinae females with a group of tamed males, ensuring that they are present as mediators and demonstrators of trust. 2.Giving Gifts: Gifts, such as natural foods and materials from the Elemental Desert, should be offered to the female as a sign of peace and cooperation. 3.Dance of Harmony: The tamer, along with the tamed males, performs a choreographed dance that demonstrates harmony and cooperation. The dance incorporates movements that mimic the camouflage and posture of females. 4. Bond Building: The tamer and males continue to interact harmoniously with the female, gradually creating bonds of trust and respect. 5.Integration into the Tribe: Once the female accepts cooperation, she can be integrated into the tribe or team of survivors, where her majestic presence and formidable strength can be harnessed for defense and other activities.
  11. On the Extinction map, I present to you the Pandinus megaunges, a formidable and unique creature that reigns in the vast desert of the Compound Element. This scorpion belonging to the genus Pandinus is a real threat, known for its striking and dangerous characteristics. Description of the Pandinus megaungues: The Pandinus megaungues is a colossal creature that stands out amidst the arid desert of the Compound Element. Its massive body is covered in a rigid exoskeleton that ranges from glossy black to vibrant purple, providing it with perfect camouflage in dune shadows and starry desert nights. The characteristics of this scorpion are its claw-shaped chelicerae, prominent and sharp as blades. These claws are used to grab their prey, and in the game world, they offer a unique mechanic. Each attack with this scorpion's metasoma carries the dreaded Pandinus Toxin. A deadly poison that does not stack, but is lethal to players who stack it. Furthermore, when used against enemy creatures, it can temporarily slow them down, making Pandinus megaunges even more formidable in combat in addition to its size which is comparable to that of a Rex. Attack forms: 1. Mighty Claw Attack: Pandinus megaunges uses its powerful claw-like chelicerae to deliver a devastating attack. When it successfully hits a target, it deals significant damage on impact, but instead of applying poison, the claws can apply a temporary immobilization effect. The target hit by this attack can be temporarily paralyzed, making them vulnerable to subsequent attacks or allowing Pandinus megaunges to escape dangerous situations. 2. Toxic Metasoma Attack: Pandinus megaungues raises its metasoma, the final part of its body, and delivers a precise blow towards its target. Not only does this attack deal significant damage upon initial impact, but it also injects a concentrated dose of Pandinus Toxin into the opponent. The toxin begins to eat away at the target's health and lowers their resistance, making them more vulnerable to other attacks and environmental hazards. 3. Bleeding Acid Bullet: In this special attack, Pandinus megaunges expels a projectile of corrosive acid towards its target. On hit, this projectile not only inflicts initial damage, but also starts a "bleed" on the target. This "bleed" effect deals 0.60 damage per second over a 10 second period. Bleeding damage can stack if Pandinus megaunges manages to land multiple acid projectiles on its target. In addition, the "bleeding" can be renewed with each new impact of the acid projectile, prolonging the opponent's suffering. 💥Skills and abilitys💥: 1. Natural Armor: Pandinus megaungues has a resistant natural armor that gives it a remarkable defense capacity. He can activate this ability to further reduce the damage he takes temporarily. This makes it a valuable option as a living shield in battle and also for protecting allies in its proximity. 2. Sense of Alert: This ability allows Pandinus megaunges to detect the presence of enemies or threats in its surrounding area. He can alert his nearby allies to the presence of potential dangers, making him an effective guardian during war and a vigilant protector in everyday situations, this ability developed over time thanks to Extinction's dangerous environment. 3. Healing Toxin: Contrary to its poisonous nature, Pandinus megaunges has the ability to use its toxin to heal itself. He can apply the toxin to himself to accelerate health regeneration 2 times faster. This skill would have a duration of 30 seconds and a cooldown of 5 minutes. 4. Bury Underground: Pandinus megaunges can bury itself underground using its powerful claws. This came because he is a nocturnal hunter, but unlike Megalosaurus he is not exclusive to the night and therefore burrows to grab small prey by surprise and devour them in one go. 5.Grab and take: This ability allows Pandinus megaunges to carry creatures comparable in size to a triceratops in a claw without preventing it from attacking. ❗Taming method❗: 1.Finding a Pandinus Mother: The first step in taming the Pandinus megaunges is to locate an adult female. This requires exploration in the Compound Element wasteland where these giant scorpions dwell. Once found, the female must be killed carefully, taking into account the critical time to catch the pups. 2. Catching the Cub: After eliminating the mother, you will have a short period of 25 seconds to catch 1-2 cubs, out of the 50-80 that cling to her back. These pups are the ones you intend to tame and raise. 3.Puppet Care: Once you have the pup(s) in your possession, it is essential to create a safe environment for them. As puppies have fragile exoskeletons, you must provide a protected breeding environment away from threats and extreme temperatures. This may include building a fenced space and maintaining ideal temperature and humidity conditions. 4.Complete Domestication: As the puppy(s) grow and go through various stages of development, they will become more independent and less vulnerable. After a period of care and growth, the Pandinus megaungue(s) will be tamed, becoming loyal allies in your adventures in the game. (Im inspired by the yellow scorpions)
  12. Cave bear, either of two extinct bear species, Ursus spelaeus and U. deningeri, notable for their habit of inhabiting caves, where their remains are frequently preserved. They are best known from late Pleistocene cave deposits (the Pleistocene Epoch lasted from about 2.6 million to 11,700 years ago), although they can be traced back to Late Pliocene times (the Pliocene Epoch spanned from about 5.3 million to about 2.6 million years ago). In European cave deposits the remains of more than 100,000 cave bears have been found. Cave bear remains have been found in England, Belgium, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy, and Greece, and the animal may have reached North Africa. Several local varieties, or races, have been described; dwarf races are known from some regions. Stone Age peoples sometimes hunted the cave bear, but evidence of that hunting is very sporadic; it is highly unlikely that hunting by human beings caused its extinction. It appears likely that most cave bears died in the severe glacial winters during dormancy; the remains include a large proportion of very young or very old bears and many specimens showing unmistakable signs of illness or disease. One study suggests that the extinction of U. spelaeus may have been related to evolutionary changes in the skull, which resulted in enlarged sinuses that helped the bear survive dormancy at the expense of a thinner skull, which reduced the animal’s biting force and limited its diet to softer, low-value foods. Extinction of the cave bear seems to have been a gradual process that was complete between 28,000 and 27,000 years ago. The cave bear’s weight ranged from 400 to 1,000 kg (about 880 to 2,200 pounds), the largest cave bears being comparable in size to the Kodiak bears (U. arctos middendorffi) of Alaska and the polar bears (U. maritimus) of the Arctic. The head was very large and the jaws bore distinctive teeth, which suggests that the animal was largely vegetarian. In 2013 a mitochondrial DNA sequence of a cave bear was reconstructed by a group of scientists from a bone fragment discovered at Atapuerca’s Sima de los Huesos (“Pit of the Bones”) cave in Spain. The fragment was dated to more than 300,000 years ago, which made the genome among the oldest ever reconstructed outside of a permafrost environment. In the game, bears are highly territorial bears that mainly live in and around caves, and will attack any creature that approaches their territory, regardless of whether it's the player, a dodo, or a mammoth. They may also stand up and make a threatening roar as shown in the image below. Its roar has effects such as losing the will to fight and strengthening itself, but we will delve into that after taming. Also, on rare occasions, there are bears with their cubs. Children are friendly, but parents are extremely ferocious and dangerous to protect their children. Therefore, it is best not to approach the parent and child bears when not taming them. Taming To tame is to tame a child. However, parents are hostile and attack to protect their children, so it is necessary to defeat them. Because if you kidnap a child, they will chase you persistently. Then, after killing the parent, hand the honey to the child and complete the tame. After that, it is necessary for the player to raise it until it grows into Otona. After taming You can ride a bear without a saddle, but there is a saddle for riding the bear, and the saddle is unique in that the entire bear is covered with armor. A bear with an armored saddle can perform a lunge attack while running, which can destroy obstacles such as structures, giant rocks, and even metal structures. can do. This bear also has the following abilities: 1. Force of Nature: The Primal Roar empowers the cave bear, increasing its stamina and attack power for a short time. During this time, its skin becomes thicker, reducing damage taken from enemy attacks, and its claws become sharper, increasing the damage of its lunges and paw attacks. 2. Uncontrollable Fear: The cave bear's terrifying roar strikes fear into nearby enemies, causing them to be momentarily paralyzed with fear. This provides a tactical advantage for the bear and its allies, allowing them to attack stunned enemies or quickly move away from danger. 3. Protective Aura: The Primal Roar emits a protective aura around the cave bear, granting bonus resistance and health regeneration to nearby allies. This aura creates a sense of security and empowerment for the team, increasing their durability and allowing them to face challenges with more confidence. 4. Darkvision: When Primordial Roar is activated, the cave bear gains the ability to see in the dark with unearthly clarity. His eyes glow brightly, allowing him to see into the night, into the depths of the darkest caverns, as if it were broad daylight. This gives you a strategic advantage when exploring shadowy locations and surprising enemies that lurk in the shadows. 5. It can walk on all fours and two, and is fast on all fours, running as fast as a woolly rhinoceros. If you attack on all fours, you can get a lot of meat and berries. On the other hand, bipeds have a lot of stamina, but attack with powerful claws instead of increasing attack power and defense power. Biped walking gives you a lot of skins and fibers. By using these abilities properly, you will be able to play an active role in PVP, boss battles, and more! If you have any other good ideas, please let us know in the comments.
  13. Stegodon is an extinct genus of proboscidean, related to elephants. It was originaly assigned to the family Elephantidae along with modern elephants but is now placed in the extinct family Stegodontidae. In the game, it has a huge fang on a body larger than a mammoth, and usually acts in groups of three. If you kill this elephant, there is a small chance that it will drop Stegodon Fang. This "stegodon fang" can be used as a weapon, acting as a long spear that inflicts the effect of breaking bones on the enemy. Also, by combining a shield with a Stegodon Fang, you can generate a Stegodon Shield, allowing you to attack while defending with a shield. However, stegodons themselves can also be attacked with their fangs, which also inflicts a fracture effect. Stegodon also gets a buff called "Carnivore Killer" when carnivores are nearby. Stegodons that act in packs have a herd buff, but Carnivorous Killer greatly enhances that buff, allowing 3 Stegodons to easily defeat a level 1 Giganotosaurus. In addition, bosses such as Titan are also targeted, and since the "carnivorous killer" buff is given, you can fight advantageously by bringing 3 or more Stegodons. They are normally neutral towards everyone, but when attacked by someone they become hostile and the whole group fights back. At this time, the leader individual with a high level shouts and orders the entire group to attack. Combining the herd buff with the "carnivorous killer" buff greatly strengthens it, and since it attacks with the whole herd, it is considered to be a very frightening and dangerous existence for carnivores such as Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus. Sho. Taming method Using the same taming method as Dinopithecus, only the leader individual can be tamed. Therefore, it is necessary to defeat Stegodon other than the leader, but in the first place, the herd's buff itself increases attack power, defense power, and speed by 70%, and when combined with "carnivorous killer", it is strengthened by 2 times. that. Therefore, it is very difficult to defeat. After defeating the leader and reducing the leader's HP to 75%, the attack will stop. You can tame it by hand after it stops attacking, but it will only eat Sweet Vegetable Cake, so you'll need more Sweet Vegetable Cake. When the taming gauge reaches 100% after reaching a certain number, the taming is complete. After taming You can ride with your own saddle. There is no herd buff when alone, but it is possible to activate "Carnivorous Beast Killer". However, if two or more animals form a herd, the herd buff will be applied to the entire herd, and the individual with the highest level will become the leader. Once leader, a stegodon can howl and order an entire herd to attack. Also, like the wild, it can perform bleeding effect attacks with its long fangs without any problem. Especially carnivorous animals including bosses will activate "carnivorous killer", which is very useful in boss battles. And as an ability that can be used after taming, by putting stones in the inventory, you can grab the stone with your nose and throw the stone to stun, and its power is enough to stun even Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus. . By the way, if it hits the player or other creatures, it will die instantly. You can then cut the weight of wood, straw, stone, flint and metal by up to 95% and transport materials in bulk. If you have any other good ideas, let us know in the comments.
  14. Sierraceratops (meaning "Sierra horned face") is a genus of chasmosaurine ceratopsian from the Late Cretaceous Hall Lake Formation of New Mexico, United States. The genus contains a single species, Sierraceratops turneri, known from a partial skeleton discovered in 1997. In 1997, geologist Gregory H. Mack discovered fossils of a large horned dinosaur on the Armendaris ranch of Ted Turner, founder of CNN, near Truth or Consequences in Sierra County, New Mexico. They had been exposed on the surface by erosion. A team of the Natural History Museum of New Mexico subsequently uncovered more bones with the cooperation of the ranch manager, Tom Wadell. In 1998, the discovery was reported in the scientific literature and referred to Torosaurus latus. More fossils were collected in 2014, 2015, and 2016. They were first prepared by volunteers and later by Sebastian Dalman. In 2021, the type species Sierraceratops turneri was named and described by Sebastian G. Dalman, Spencer G. Lucas, Steven E. Jasinski, and Nicholas R. Longrich; the final article version was published in 2022. The generic name combines a reference to Sierra County with the Greek keras, "horn", and ops, "face", a common suffix in ceratopsian names. The specific name honours Turner. The holotype, NMMNH P-76870, was found in a layer of the Hall Lake Formation, dating from the Campanian-Maastrichtian, about seventy-two million years old. It consists of a partial skeleton with skull. It preserves a left premaxilla, a jugal bone with epijugal, a right postorbital horn core, a quadrate, a quadratojugal, the interparietal bar, a squamosal, a pterygoid, a rear left dentary, two neck vertebrae, two back vertebrae, sacral vertebrae, two ribs, a shoulder blade connected to a coracoid, an ulna, a hand claw and an ilium. About 16% of the skeleton has been preserved. It was disarticulated but the various elements were found in close association in a natural position. The fossils are part of the collection of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science. Sierraceratops compared to other Hall Lake Formation fauna Sierraceratops was a medium-sized horned dinosaur. The skull was a little less than 2 metres (6.6 ft) long and the animal measured around 4.5 metres (15 ft) in length. Compared to other chasmosaurs, it has short but massive brow horns that are relatively short and robust and a long cheek horn on the jugal. The frill was relatively long and had large holes, the parietal fenestrae, separated by an oval-shaped midline bar. In the game, it is three times larger than the Triceratops, and is highly territorial, so it is extremely ferocious and attacks players, carnivorous dinosaurs, and contaminated creatures to the point that it immediately becomes hostile when approached, and it charges quickly to stun them. This dinosaur howls and grants itself a buff that grants attack power, defense power, speed increase, coma resistance, pollution resistance, heat resistance, and cold protection, and causes surrounding creatures to lose their fighting spirit and fear. , grants a debuff that reduces attack power, defense power, and speed. Taming method This dinosaur is too ferocious, so taming it is difficult. How you tame it is a very special kind of tame, almost like a bullfight. After all, this dino is purposely hostile and will chase after you with a rush to stun you. Players must mount other creatures and guide them to collide with rocks and other obstacles (other than trees) while escaping from the Sierraceratops. Sierra raceratops will then collide with an obstacle such as a rock (other than a tree) and will be temporarily stunned. As soon as you pass out, give Sierraceratops a drink of Energy Brew. The moment you drink it, the taming gauge will finally rise. Then, it will immediately get up and chase after you to attack the player again, so all you have to do is guide it to an obstacle such as a rock (other than trees), make it collide with it, and at the moment it faints. By repeatedly feeding Energy Brew to raise the taming gauge, you can finally tame the animal when the taming gauge reaches 100%. However, if Sierra raceratops are attacked by other creatures, if the player or the creature the player is riding is attacked by Sierra raceratops, or if the layer itself or the creature the player is riding is attacked by another creature, The taming gauge will go down, so be careful. After taming You can ride it with a special saddle, and like in the wild, you can charge and howl to stun yourself, giving you buffs that increase attack power, defense power, speed, coma resistance, pollution resistance, heat protection, and cold protection. It is now possible to apply debuffs to surrounding creatures that cause them to lose their will to fight, cause them to fear, and reduce their attack power, defense power, and speed, and the buffs are also applied to players on horseback. However, there is actually another saddle, and it is this saddle that shows its true potential. First, the horn is equipped with a gunblade, which can function as a melee sword with a bleeding effect, or as a pump-action shotgun for powerful long-range attacks. Next, it is full body armor, and the armor cuts damage by 95% from surrounding creatures, making it almost invincible. What's more, both of his hips are equipped with missiles, allowing him to attack by launching missiles. The best part is that it is equipped with a gatling on its head, allowing it to perform gatling attacks from its head. However, to make this saddle you need to use a regular saddle. If you have any other good ideas, let us know in the comments.
  15. Listriodontinae was an extinct subfamily of even-toed ungulates that existed during the Miocene in Europe, Africa, and Asia. In-game, they are omnivorous boars about the size of a Daeodon, with males having a single unicorn-like horn and females having no horns. They have a neutral personality and always act in pairs, male and female, and will fight together if attacked by an enemy. However, if one dies, the other may wander around in search of a new partner (because the other has also lost its partner). When you meet a new partner, a pair is formed, but both partners must be male and female, and pairs with the same surname are not possible. If the other person already has a partner and a pair has been formed, , searches for individuals of the opposite sex who have given up and lost another partner. When attacked by an enemy, the female emits a "cry of love", granting the male a buff and the male charging the enemy with its horns. After performing a lunge attack, the male and female will normally fight together. However, a male lunge with its horns stuns the opponent, reduces attack, defense, speed, and fractures. As a result, the male and female are able to defeat the male and female together before the effect wears off. Also, the male's lunge is effective regardless of whether it is from a long distance or close range. Taming method It is completely impossible to tame unpartnered individuals, so we need to find a pair of partnered male and female individuals. Each tamed pair is handed one potato to prove they are not the enemy. After feeding the potato, it will be temporarily tamed and will follow the player, but there is a time limit of 30 minutes. How to tame within that 30 minute time limit? First of all, it is temporarily tamed, so you cannot ride it, but it will fight alongside you instead. However, you can only fight against contaminated creatures, and your taming gauge will not rise even if you fight uncontaminated creatures. Therefore, you need to fight and defeat the contaminated creatures together. Killing contaminated creatures fills the Taming Gauge. Also, if you are damaged, you can feed it potatoes to heal it. However, if you kill one or both of them, or accidentally attack them and turn them hostile, the taming gauge will be reset, so be careful. After that, you can fight together and fill up the taming gauge to 100%, then the taming will be completed. After taming It can be ridden without a saddle, but females can buff males with Cries of Love, and males can stun, attack, defend, and slow their opponents, and charge with a fracture effect. However, with a dedicated saddle, you can use additional abilities. It also differs between males and females. First, the female has no horns, so her head is equipped with a flashlight that allows her to see in the dark, such as in caves. Additionally, Cruise Missiles are equipped on both hips, and can be fired from there to automatically track and attack targets. The male, on the other hand, has horns, so the horns are equipped with swords, allowing him to additionally deal heavy bleeding attacks and cause large amounts of damage over time. In addition, Miniguns are equipped on both hips, allowing continuous firing attacks from them. If you have any other good ideas, please let us know in the comments.
  16. Disclaimer: I am no artist so visual representation won't be super great, but hopefully my written descriptions will suffice! Also The species might not fit the time period qualifications for submission, but it does not need to be this ant species specifically. But in my head since this is extinction I figured the element corruption grew an ant on earth to a massive size, if that is not acceptable then just imagine it is a cousin species of the titanomyrma that underwent the same corruption process! Specific species isn't super important to me, I just think a ride-able ant in ark would be dope! Wild Spawn The Dinoponera Matriavastus is a creature you will never find on it's own. Because of this, they benefit from a pack bonus that gives a substantial damage reduction buff. When killed the Dinoponera drops a large amount of chitin and a small amount of meat. The Dinoponera workers spawn in the vicinity of a nest, which looks like a man sized anthill sticking out of the ground. Inside the nest is the Dinoponera queen, who will occasionally leave the nest to wander before returning into the tunnels. The Dinoponera is not aggressive to humans unless they get close to the nest and the queen. They share the same temperament to wild creatures except small creatures like dodos, lystros, etc, and they will consume corpses. Because the Dinoponera reproduces asexually, the species only contains females and all of the workers will be an identical level to their queen, so if you see mis-matched levels of workers it means another nest is nearby. The nest will act as a structure and is destroyable, when destroyed it forces the queen out and aggros her and all of the workers. Once the nest is destroyed all Dinoponera will stop spawning in the area and any existing Dinoponera will slowly despawn when out of render, so you can clear nests in the hopes of finding a higher level nest nearby in the future. Taming You first have to reach the nest without being detected by the workers. The queen can be coaxed out of the nest by dropping honey just outside of the nest, or you can wait for her to naturally emerge. Once the queen is out of the nest you must feed her bug repellent without drawing aggression. This will cause her to lose health quickly until she dies. Killing the queen this way will not aggro the workers. Once the queen is dead, access her inventory and remove her pheromone. Then apply the pheromone to yourself. If you currently are affected by bug repellent yourself, you must wait for the effects to wear off. Be careful of how long you wait, as the pheromone will spoil within a few minutes outside of her inventory. When you are affected by the pheromone, if you are attacked by any creature, nearby workers will come to your aid. This could help save your life, or get the workers killed by accident, so watch your surroundings. Once covered in the pheromone, approach a worker and it will give you a request for some kind of resource. It could be a basic material or a basic food, ie wood, stone, berries, raw meat, etc... Put this item in your last inventory slot and give it to the worker. The more of that item you have in a stack, the more tame progress will be made. So giving it a full stack of 100 wood will give it more tame progress than giving it a stack of 5. Continue filling the requests of the worker until the tame is complete and you have a Dinoponera! You can technically tame as many Dinoponera as there are in the area, but because you only have 30 minutes of pheromone you have to manage your time properly. Once the pheromone wears off, any wild Dinoponera in the area will instantly aggro on you. Breeding Unfortunately since you cannot tame the queen they would not breedable. But I have been debating whether or not they should be. Maybe a decent idea would be the ability to feed a worker certain items and it will transform into a queen, giving you the ability to have one that lays eggs. Possibly feeding a worker 1-5 queen pheromones will turn it into a queen? I'm still split on this part simply because I love breeding and getting mutations. Saddle Upon reaching level 35 you unlock the Dinoponera saddle, which is crafted in the smithy and costs: metal, hide, fiber, and chitin/keratin. This saddle would provide the usual 25 armor and visually would have slight armor plating and saddlebags all over it. It's saddle acts as a crafter, but not a smithy or mortar+pestle. This saddle is able to craft unlocked primitive engrams that would normally need to be crafted in your inventory. So primitive structures, certain saddles, and much more could be crafted on the move without the need for a blueprint. Utility Weight Reduction Once tamed, it is an exceptional beast of burden, capable of reducing the carry weight of wood, thatch, fiber, hide by -40% while reducing the carry weight of stone, metal, flint, obsidian, crystal by -35%! On top of that it reduces the carry weight of all structures by -50%! This makes it extremely useful when moving large quantities of supplies or setting up/moving to a new base location. It can gather wood, thatch, meat, hide, berries, and fiber, albeit at a relatively inefficient rate. Not the best for gathering, but will do in a pinch. Traversal & Mandibles It is able to climb walls and uneven terrain fairly quickly. Pressing the crouch key while riding a Dinoponera allows you to use it's mandibles to pick up certain things. It is capable of picking up and carrying storage boxes, similar to how the rhynio can carry structures. But the Dinoponera can only carry small storage boxes, large storage boxes, and vaults (vaults will act as a drag that I will talk about shortly). It's mandibles are also able to pick up and carry creatures. Anything with a drag weight of 100 or below can be picked up and carried. Not only that, but creatures that fit the weight can also be picked up and carried if they are dead or unconscious! The Dinoponera is also capable of dragging creatures with a drag weight of 101-300! The drag is quite different from the carry. With dragging, the Dinoponera can move heavier objects, but because of the weight, must focus all of it's strength moving it. Therefore when dragging heavier creatures and metal vaults, the Dinoponera can only walk backwards. But have no fear! The Dinoponera is capable of climbing up surfaces backwards, so you can still drag that unconscious Ankylo up a cliff! This can be quite useful to move knocked out creatures to a safer area for taming. It also has use as the ability can drag corpses, making you able to bring a corpse to a tame with better gathering efficiency or even transporting bodies to assist in Carchar taming! Although you would still need to drag the body closer to the Carchar yourself, the Dinoponera can move the corpse quickly from a further distance. Dinoponera Nectar Lastly, when 1 honey and 20 berries are placed into the inventory of a Dinoponera, it will convert the honey into a sweet and nutritious nectar that will provide +40 food as well as a 15% bonus to movement speed, stamina, and stamina regeneration for 15 minutes! The Dinoponera love this nectar and it can be fed to them as well, doubling the effectiveness of the nectar but for only half the time.
  17. Simbakubwa (Simba the Loyal) Thank you for looking at my suggest! I am not the best artist but I hope that this drawing will get my point across! Info Even thought it resembles a large cat and its name means “great lion” in Swali it is actually closer to the hyena family. This massive mammal is from the Miocene era. It was discovered by Kenyans in Western Kenya. This animal is estimated to weight in at about 650 pounds and the largest could get to over 1500 pounds. It also has a large head with a very powerful bite. Environment This animal mostly lives in the city, when the corrupted dinosaurs started to appear on the outskirts they were pushed inward. This also lead to them becoming attracted to element, once they started to consume this their bodies began to change. They started to have blue element veins run along their legs and you can some hints of a metallic substance. You will also see that they have a large array of different patterns and colors on there bodies, such as stripes, sports, manes and specks. This biggest change was their intelligence, if you watch them you can see that they are actually thinking about ways to solve problems. Its a fantastic sight to see!. Taming. This animal is PROUD and smart, while they are not prone to attack if approach they will if they are extremely hungry. So It is best to wait till they have already fed in order to approach and try to tame. There is 2 important steps taming this creature, 1 is that when you approach you much make it an offering such as meat or element. If it accepts it, it will allow you on its back and this is were the real test begins. You must prove your worth by not falling off, this can have dire consequences, since they can climb walls! Once tame you will have the most loyal beast ever because this beast will only every allow one person to ride it and access its inventory and that the one who tamed it!. Once you have tamed this animal you will have a very powerful companion. It can jump and climb walls which is great for getting out of a hot spot. It has a powerful bite which can do some major damages, specially to corrupted dinosaurs. Also it proves to be useful to have this companion to the highest level because anything that is helping it fight will get a pack buff, if its the highest level. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simbakubwa
  18. This is my submission for the community vote for a creature for the Extinction DLC. I’m going to do the first little bit in Dossier format because it is a useful base. Wild: They Cacops are not to different from those I used to know only through fossils, though admittedly a little bit bigger. They seem rather peaceful, hanging around beaches. They like to eat bugs, which they catch with their long strong tongue, though I am not sure that they had this tongue naturally in the past. Perhaps the tongue is like the venom spitting of Dilophosaurus I have encountered. Domesticated: Once you befriend and domesticate a Cacops, they can be a useful companion. They can ride on their owner’s shoulder and have a calming effect on people. Their tongue can be used to grapple creatures many times the Cacops’s size and experience survivors can even use their Cacops as a living grappling hook. They also seem to have no qualms with being used as living pillows, and they as so cute! Cacops drawing Wiki page I think that Cacops would be passively tamed. As an amphibian there would probably be a tadpole form that hatches from eggs laid by a Cacops that would in turn grow up into the air breathing Cacops. As the real world Cacops was very small, I think it would be sized up in Ark, but no bigger than a cat I’d say. (Sorry there is no fancy color or anything on this submission.)
  19. Darwinius is a genus within the infraorder Adapiformes, a group of basal strepsirrhine primates from the middle Eocene epoch. Its only known species, Darwinius masillae, lived approximately 47 million years ago (Lutetian stage) based on dating of the fossil site. The only known fossil, called Ida, was discovered in 1983 at the Messel pit, a disused quarry near the village of Messel, about 35 km (22 mi) southeast of Frankfurt, Germany. The fossil, divided into a slab and partial counterslab after the amateur excavation and sold separately, was not reassembled until 2007. The fossil is of a juvenile female, approximately 58 cm (23 in) overall length, with the head and body length excluding the tail being about 24 cm (9.4 in). It is estimated that Ida died at about 80–85% of her projected adult body and limb length. The genus Darwinius was named in commemoration of the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Darwin, and the species name masillae honors Messel where the specimen was found. The creature appeared superficially similar to a modern lemur. The authors of the paper describing Darwinius classified it as a member of the primate family Notharctidae, subfamily Cercamoniinae, suggesting that it has the status of a significant transitional form (a "link") between the prosimian and simian ("anthropoid") primate lineages. Others have disagreed with this placement. Concerns have been raised about the claims made about the fossil's relative importance and the publicising of the fossil before adequate information was available for scrutiny by the academic community. Some of Norway's leading biologists, among them Nils Christian Stenseth, have called the fossil an "exaggerated hoax" and stated that its presentation and popular dissemination "fundamentally violate scientific principles and ethics." In the game, unlike the existing Mesopithecus, it has a unique face and appearance similar to a Golden snub-nosed monkey, and is slightly larger than the Mesopithecus. This monkey lives in a wide range of forests, caves, and snowy mountains, and is always alone. They are omnivorous and may eat both berries and meat, and sometimes scavenge the corpses of living creatures. Unlike Mesopithecus, they are curious about players and will observe them when they spot them. However, he didn't come here to be tamed, he intended to observe, and if attacked, he would be hostile without question. When hostile, they will perform a dung throwing attack that slows movement and reduces defense, or a scratching attack that causes blindness and bleeding with their powerful claws. And on rare occasions, they may steal weapons, tools, etc. from players. How to tame The way to tame them is not passively handing them over, nor taming them in a coma, but in a special way. As I said earlier, there are times when players steal weapons, tools, etc., and this is a major key to taming. What I mean by that is, you get them to steal your tools or weapons on purpose. When you steal a weapon or tool, a "monkey mark" will appear on Darwinius himself who stole it, and you will need to follow it and follow him. If Darwinius sits down tired, hand him the food he requests and ask him to return any stolen tools or weapons. If you exchange stolen items for requested food, your taming gauge will increase. After resting for a few minutes, he will steal the tool or weapon again and go somewhere, so you chase him, and when you catch up, give him the food he requested, then return the stolen weapon or tool, and so on. Repeat this until it reaches 100%, and the taming is complete. However, please note that if the player attacks Darwinius during taming and Darwinius becomes angry and becomes hostile or is attacked by other creatures, the taming gauge will be reset, so please be careful. After taming Since it is larger than Mesopithecus, it rides astride the player as shown in the image (*The image is of a chimpanzee, but it is just an image). ↑ *This is an image only. Darwinius riding on the player will help the player. For example, when a player is fighting in PVP, it is possible to attack by throwing feces, and if the feces are hit, it will reduce movement speed and defense power. At close range, it will use its powerful claws to attack the player with a clawing attack that causes poor visibility and bleeding. Furthermore, if you have a weapon or tool, if it is a gun type, it will automatically shoot when you are fighting, if it is a melee weapon such as a sword, it will be used for melee attacks. When it's running low, they'll let you eat and drink. In some cases, it may automatically replenish before some effect wears off, or it may automatically fix debuffs. It will also be useful for collecting later. What's more, all materials obtained through harvesting are 80% lighter, so you don't have to worry about weight. If you have any other good ideas, please let us know in the comments.
  20. I am not an artist at all and created the concept art on my phone so don't mind how crappy it looks. After the fall of humanity on earth leaving the planet in ruins, one creature stands above all as the everlasting specimen. The Megaloblatta Evolved over time and grew to fit its corrupted wasteland home, their large outer shell protects the weak body of this creature and hardens when it feels threatened. Due to the harsh environment, the weaker portion of the Megaloblatta have corrupted like its fellow surviving creatures to form an apex scavenger in the wasteland. Abilities: - Passively makes the food/water of nearby survivors decrease slower when inside the wasteland. - At 50% health hardens it's shell and gets a defence upgrade. - Acid Spit which slows enemies hit with it and deals minor overtime damage. - Can shed its shell to reveal wings which allow for the Megaloblatta to temporarily fly. - When it sheds its shell defence is decreased but movement speed / stamina is increased. - Bury itself underground to escape predators. - Does not need a saddle to ride but the saddle should be used. Saddle: The saddle of this creature allows for the shell to be shedded on command to allow the Megaloblatta to fly permanently, once flying the saddle can be activated to stretch and spread out the wings for a steady glide similar to a Rock Drake. Although once the creature lands its saddle automatically closes up and will not open back up for a limited amount of time. The saddle itself allows for the Megaloblatta to store up acid to unleash a larger scale spray attack. Taming: - Find the Megaloblatta within the wasteland. - Stand a tamed predator nearby the creature so it's wings will open up ready to flee. - Sneak up to the creature before it flees and passive feed it Corrupted Nodules. - Repeat process until it is tamed. Mating: The mating process of these creatures needs both parents to have saddles equipped. The shell restricts mating within the species so they need to shed the shell in order to mate, you need to use the saddle to open up the shell and allow for the creature to breed. Concept Art: The purple on the second image is the corrupted section, I know it's hard to understand hahaha.
  21. The Chatham raven is an extinct species of large raven native to the Chatham Islands (New Zealand). Another closely related raven occurred on the North Island and South Island of New Zealand, namely the New Zealand raven (C. antipodum). included in C. moriorum, but is considered a distinct species today. A reconstruction of the species is in the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, specimen MNZ S.036749. The Chatham raven was significantly larger than the New Zealand raven, and probably the world's fourth- or fifth-largest passerine. They had long, broad bills that were not as arched as those of some of the Hawaiian crows (C. hawaiiensis). Presumably , they were black all over like all their close relatives. There do not seem to be recorded oral traditions of this species – most of the Moriori people, after whom this species was named, were eventually killed or enslaved by Māori explorers, and little of Their natural history knowledge has been preserved. Thus, it cannot be completely ruled out that like some congeners they had partially white or gray plumage (see also Pied raven). Remains of Chatham ravens are most common in coastal sites on the Chatham Islands. On the coast, it may have frequented the seal and penguin colonies or fed in the intertidal zone, as does the Tasmanian forest raven (C. tasmanicus). have depended on fruit, like the New Caledonian crow (C. moneduloides), but it is difficult to understand why a fruit eater would have been most common in coastal forest and shrubland when fruit was distributed throughout the forest. In-game, he appears as a crow the same size as Fjordhawk. These crows move in groups of five, but since they are migratory birds, they constantly fly to move to different places with their groups. However, they are extremely vigilant, and if there are carnivorous dinosaurs or players nearby, they will cry loudly, and all of them will immediately fly away at once. However, when attacked, the whole group becomes hostile and attacks all at once. This crow can inflict a debuff that reduces defense and recovery when attacking an enemy. Also, if one member of the pack is killed, it will remember who killed it and will chase it down to get revenge. If it is a player, even if it dies and respawns, it will still remember the player and may attack that player to get revenge. Taming method Real-life crows are known to be the most intelligent birds, and since this crow is also highly intelligent, it is a unique taming method that uses that intelligence. However, all members of the herd are automatically tamed, so keep that in mind. Also, even if you tame only one, it is impossible to tame only one, and if you kill a companion, they will become hostile for revenge, so if you tame, it is recommended to tame the entire herd. To do. First, Ghillie equipment is required. Build a small hut a little further away from the group when you have Ghillie equipment, and set up a food storage in the hut. In addition, when building a hut, a window is essential, and it is necessary to install a window frame in one place. However, please do not install doors and door frames for entrance doors, as they will be recognized as entering by the player. Also, there is only one place to install the window frame. And don't forget to install the ceiling above to prevent it from coming in from above. After that, go outside and install the window frames and windows. In a nutshell, the order is to “install the base” and “all the walls except for the space used for the window frame”, and then “install the ceiling and finally install the window frame and window in the space used for the window frame”. After that, while watching from outside the hut, check if there are any enemies nearby. Then they notice the existence of the hut and fly to the hut together with the flock. After observing the hut, open the window, enter the hut from there, and obtain food from the food storage, which will greatly increase the taming gauge. And when it comes out of the hut, the player sneaks up and hands over the same food that was in the food storage to complete the tame. Also, if you are attacked by an enemy, notice the player's presence, or if the hut is destroyed, the taming gauge will be reset, so please be careful. After taming Since the entire herd is tamed, it is possible to attack the whole herd, and when attacking, it is possible to give the enemy a debuff that reduces defense and recovery, just like wild animals. Also, when it detects that there are enemies nearby, it will let out a loud cry to inform the player and the crows in the flock. In addition, because of its excellent intelligence, by handing tools such as axes, it will automatically collect items, and by instructions from the player, it can steal items from other creatures or other players, At the player's instruction, steal eggs (regardless of whether they are fertilized or unfertilized) from creatures that protect eggs such as wyverns, and watch them instead of the player like a surveillance camera. can do. By the way, the individual with the highest level becomes the leader, and only the leader can be placed on the player's shoulder. All members of the herd may follow along while the leader is on the player's shoulder. However, if the leader dies, the remaining members of the herd will automatically return to the wild, fly away from the spot, and disappear as they are, so it is necessary to prevent the leader from dying. . If you have any other good ideas, let us know in the comments.
  22. TL;DR - Gobiraptor Minutus is a small theropod that attaches to Corrupted creatures in the Wasteland to feed off their Element. Kill the creature it's on and feed it Element to tame it. Keep it fed or it will enter an enraged "Hangry" mode. Naturally sniffs out explorer notes and scares off small creatures like pegos/microraptor. With interchangeable craftable TEK modules, it can use HLN-A's scan ability and stun TEK creatures and equipment for a short time. A rare costume can be obtained from Corrupted Alphas that allows you to 3-D print skins. Dossier: Wild: Gobiraptor Minutus is a big deal for such a little guy. It can be found in the wastelands around the Sanctuary City - well, actually found on the Corrupted creatures in the Wasteland! Gobiraptor has found a unique way of processing the Element that usually corrupts creatures and as such it latches onto larger infected creatures and feeds off them! Taming: Taming one of these little ones is a unique challenge; the first step is to remove them from the creature they're attached to by killing the creature without hurting the gobiraptor. They can latch onto something as small as Triceratops or something as dangerous as a Gigantosaurus! And the task of removal is difficult in itself: attempting to kill the creature with a tame is too imprecise, so you'll have to do it manually. In addition, if the gobiraptor takes damage at any point it will scurry off or - worse - die! The best trick we've found is to use a precise weapon like a sniper or bow to kill the Corrupted Creature. Once it's off you can feed it some form of Element, until it's tamed. Be careful though! If it finds another Corrupted Creature to latch onto you'll have to start all over! Domesticated: Aside from being adorable, these guys have a variety of uses for just about any type of Survivor! Santiago even made some cute little helmets for them! My personal favorite is what he calls the Data Scanner: helpful for looking at a creature's information. Santiago likes the Pulse Extender better - apparently it amplifies the natural bio-electricity of the little guy to temporarily fry nearby TEK - useful against those defense units. Even without the addons, Gobiraptor is quite useful. He can sniff out nearby data points, frighten away pesky creatures like pegomastax and microraptor. Finally, Gobiraptor also has the ability to temporarily power nearby electronics - like a short term, portable, bio-battery! As an addendum, Kaz was able to find a 3-D printer in the stomach of one of the larger carnivores. If you attach it to Gobiraptor, the Element it passively eats will charge the printer and you can print some unique costumes. Seeing Kaz walking around with bunny ears on his head is worth all the trouble I've been through. Make sure to feed your little guy. If he gets too hungry, he'll get hangry and start attacking you and your tames. -* So the idea with this creature was originally a bot, but I wasn't sure if that was allowed so I picked a cute dinosaur to adapt the idea to. Extinction has long been missing a shoulder pet, and I was wondering what would be the most useful creature for a survivor who has already beaten the ARKs and is now facing down the Titans. Gobiraptor perches on the medium to large size Corrupted creatures in the Wasteland. Before you can even begin the taming you have to find one you want to tame, then kill whatever it's attached to - it could be as mundane as a Trike or as terrifying as a Giga! And you can't use creatures - it will instantly kill the Gobiraptor. Additionally, weapons like shotguns or TEK rifles can hurt the Gobiraptor which will cause it to flee and despawn. So you need to kill the creature with a precision weapon. Once the creature is dead, Gobiraptor will be a little lost and just stand there, confused for a few seconds. This is the perfect time to run in and feed it some Element! At first it'll just take dust, then shards, then whole Element, repeating the cycle until tamed - similar to Astrodelphis. After eating it will curl up and take a nap. When it wakes up you can feed it again! Be careful though, feeding Gobiraptor Element will trigger an effect similar to basilos and attract nearby Corrupted creatures - and if one large enough gets close, Gobiraptor will latch on and you'll have to start all over. I thought this would be a tough and unique taming method while not being as infuriating as amargasaurus. It gives the Wasteland some life and a bit of challenge to the corrupted creatures. Alone, Gobiraptor will scare off the more pesky creatures of the ARKs like pegos, microraptor, etc. similar to a Sinomacrops. Additionally it can sniff out explorer notes like a direwolf - something I really wish a shoulder pet could do. There are two TEK helmets you can craft and equip on it: The DATA Sensor and the Pulse Extender. The DATA Sensor gives you HLN-A's scanning ability while the Pulse Extender allows the Gobiraptor to temporarily stun TEK equipment/creatures. It has a limited range and short effect - but enough to give you a head start getting away or turn an ambush into a fair fight. The PAC Attachment (Purify Absorb Convert) goes in the costume slot. Overtime as Gobiraptor consumes Element it will build charge which it will store in the PAC. You can use this charge as a form of currency to 3-D print skins! As a bonus I'd love an exclusive skin set to Gobiraptor - maybe a Corrupted TEK skin set. While the other two modules can be crafted, the PAC can only be found as a rare drop from Corrupted Alphas. It will be broken when you find it and you'll have to repair it. The battery part I'm iffy on, but to round it out I included it. Basically Gobiraptor can be placed down and set into battery mode. It will consume more Element (Like Daeodon) and power structures in a small range. Finally, Gobiraptor's allegiance is only bought with Element, fail to feed it and it will quickly turn on you and your tames. While it is in "Hangry Mode" it will attack tames and you, and also damage any TEK related items or structures in an attempt to feed. You can try to pacify it with Element but good luck - it's fast moving and deadly when enraged - you'll probably end up having to kill it. 23. Epigaulus is a genus of extinct herbivorous rodents in the Myragauridae family that lived from the Oligocene to the Pleistocene. The correct genus name is Ceratogaulus, and Epigaulus is a synonym. Just like the Honed Gopher, it had two large horns growing from its nose. Epigaurus is the smallest known horned mammal, the only horned rodent, and the only horned borer (other than the fossil armadillo Peltephilus). It is also a mammal (which burrows underground). They were native to what is today known as the Great Plains of North America. Speculation about the role of the horns abounds, including burrowing (disproved by the location and orientation of the horns), sexual display, and fighting/predator protection. Since the horns were not sexually dimorphic, their defensive role is likely. In-game, they are friendly nocturnal creatures that like Purlovia are good at digging, burrowing into the ground during the day in the same manner as Purlovia, and emerging at night to feed. I wander in search. They are timid and will immediately burrow into the ground to hide when they see the player or a creature larger than themselves. Therefore, unless something happens, basically no one can kill them. By the way, unlike Purlovia, it looks like an image, so I think you can understand it at a glance. How to tame Ghillie equipment is essential as it is timid and will run away if you just look at it. Then, with Ghillie equipped, find the depression in the ground where Epigaulus is hiding and place some honey near it. After that, hide in a place a little far away and wait for it to come out. Then, it poked its head out of the ground, smelled it, noticed the presence of honey, ate the honey, and then crawled back into the ground. At this time, the taming gauge will rise. After that, check to see if there are any enemies nearby, then place some honey so they don't find out, feed it, and increase the taming gauge. And when it reaches 100%, the taming is completed. However, if you are discovered midway through, you will run away immediately and your taming gauge will be reset, so you must do your best not to be discovered. After taming It is impossible to ride, and it is too big to carry on your shoulders. However, it is good at digging in the ground, and you can make it burrow under the ground and collect some materials. And it will store those collected materials in the ground. You can also burrow underground and use it as a spy for reconnaissance. For example, you can find out what kind of creatures are out there without being found out, and what kind of things are in the enemy's base. If you have any other good ideas, please let us know in the comments.
  24. Common Name: Velociraptor Species: Velociraptor mongoliensis Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Evasive/Agressive Variants: Corrupted Velociraptor, Tek Velociraptor Dossier: The Velociraptor is a small carnivore that usually travels in groups of 4 - 8 to hunt larger creatures, but sometimes you will find a Velociraptor alone. When he is alone, he usually hunts Dodos and Lystrosaurs, and when a larger creature get closer, he flees. It is possible to see Velociraptors all over region, mainly in the Sanctuary and Wasteland. When tamed, the Velociraptor will be an extremely loyal shoulder creature, that when the survivor is very injured and beig attaked, the tamed Velociraptor will jump from your shoulder and defend you from the enemy creture, and, if necessary, it will sacrifice itself for you. To tame him, you need to find a lone Velociraptor, and crouch behind him to offer him food, and little by little, he will gain your trust.
  25. This is a short guide on how to make a relatively effective element farm. Please note it doesn't produce element directly, it instead makes element dust. The first step, you will need to tame some tek parasaurs, the higher the health the better. Next tame a therizino. Level melee fore more resources, or weight so it can run longer without you. Next set up small chamber, about double the length of your theri. Don't put a roof on. Next, build relatively high directly above the chamber, and put your male tek parasaur in the very middle of the open space at the top. Fill as much as you can around the male with females, so that their backsides face into the chamber. Set all the parasaurs to mate, the theri to aggresive and add some air conditioners. ***THIS IS NOT MY OWN, THE CONCEPT WAS INSPIRED BY SYNTACYT***
