  1. Name - Utahraptor ostrommaysorum Time Period - Early Cretaceous Spawn Map - Scorched Earth Classification - Dromaeosauridae Size - It reached 20 feet in length Tamable - Yes Breedable - Yes Description - Utahraptor would have been an extraordinary killing machine. Utahraptor is one of the geologically oldest and largest known feathered dromaeosaurids from the Desert. This group of carnivorous dinosaurs had a large retractable sickle claw on its foot, specialized for cutting. With a name meaning “Utah’s predator,” Utahraptor was a ferocious hunter that used its sickle-shaped claws to attack and rip apart its prey. The claw itself was 9.5 inches (24 cm) long.
  2. Hello ,dear survivors!! I wanted to introduce Archaeoindris(the giant lemur) to you.Archaeoindris fontoynontii is an extinct giant lemur and the largest primate known to have evolved on Madagascar, comparable in size to a male gorilla. It belonged a family of extinct lemurs known as "sloth lemurs" (Palaeopropithecidae).Along with the other sloth lemurs ,Archaeoindris was related to the living indri ,sifakas, and wooly lemurs, as well as the recently extinct monkey lemurs(Archaeolemuridae). The genus, Archaeoindris, translates to "ancient indri-like lemur" , even though it probably became extinct recently, around 350BCE. Behavior Archaeoindris is thought to have been a leaf-eater (folivorous), a view supported by wear patterns on its teeth. Its fused mandibular symphyses and the likelihood of accelerated dental development suggest that it began processing fibrous foods in the mouth with thorough chewing. Its diet may also have included some fruits and seeds. Like most of the other giant lemurs, Archaeoindris is thought to have been diurnal because of its relatively small orbits, which are comparable to those of gorillas. Size Since its discovery, size estimates have varied from "larger than a human" to "possibly the largest primate ever".The only fossil primate that was probably larger than Archaeoindris was Gigantopithecus blacki. Temperament Neutral to all other creatures.Aggressive to survivors. Wild Ark life changed this creature a lot , this species is definitely bigger and stronger than any from fossil records.Wild Archaeoindrises usually live in small groups 2-3 lemurs and some babies. They are also good climbers and very strong creatures, they can knock out small creatures and survivors. Domesticated If you will manage to tame it ,you will have a good traveler ,it can carry a lot of weight, and save you against dangerous carnivores. They look very slow and heavy ,but they are actually decent runners and climbers. To ride it you need a saddle.Taming a pack of lemurs will be better, they can defend you and your creatures. The strongest lemur will be the leader of the pack ,it will get a damage boost and small damage resistance.Lemurs are also good for taming creatures ,with its powerful attack it can deal torpor to creatures. They are decent at harvesting meat and berries. Taming Archaeoindris can be tamed only non-violently.This oversized lemur prefers eating beetles, spiders and small lizards. To feed it you have to drag lizard's, beetle's or spider's body ,while it will be sitting and wait till it will accept it.If you will do it while it will be walking ,it will start attacking you until you will leave his territory. After it's fed, it will start trusting you and won't attack you for a little time. You have to act fast ,or it will lose confidence in you(you have like 5 minutes).Repeat till tamed. If it or one of its pack mates gets damaged the taming progress will drop to 0. Habitat It's habitat in : Snow biome ,Redwoods, lakes in desert and jungles. Utility • Ammo Thrower: Its strength gives an ability to throw ammo(Cannon balls ,Spear Bolts ,oil jars and chain bolas)the damage dealt depends on its melee damage. • Travel: Great travel mount with its ability to scale cliff faces. The Dinopithecus also has a very good jump ability (very similar to a Ferox). It also has decent movement speed as it easily capable of defending itself against attackers. • Battle mount: Archaeoindris is a great battle mount. It deals a lot of damage by throwing spear bolts ,its melee attack can deal some torpor (depends on melee damage). The pack leader gets a damage resistance and small damage buff. Controls Left mouse button/R2 - Primary Attack Right mouse button/L2 - Powerfull attack deals higher damage ,slower ,but also deals torpor.(takes more stamina than primary attack also) L1 - going into the turret mod (like velo) (to change ammo you have to press on the ammo you want and then press on its saddle) Stats for 150lvl(wild) Damage - 170% Health - 4000 Oxygen - 800 Weight - 800 Food - 4000 Stamina - 800 Damage Primary attack - 35 Secondary attack - 60 Turret mode It can be also set on a turret mode to protect your base against aggressive creature and other survivors. To do it you have to click behavior and then turn the turret mode on.It will waste ammo from its inventory ,but in turret mode it shoots slower and deals 80% less damage. Also it can take ammo from the ammo box(If there will be no ammo in its inventory).Chain Bola effect in turret mode will last 2x quicker. They will also get 2x more damage in turret mode. Why do we need it? • There are too many dinosaurs in this game ,so one more mammal would be useful. • It's very balanced for pvp ,because: 1.It has lower damage than other creatures(Like mantis ,Magmasaur and some other). 2.Its stamina isn't very good and throwing attack takes like 2x more stamina than its primary attack. 3.Hard to tame. • It can be really good for countering rhyniognathas, wyverns, quetzals, managarmrs and other creatures. • There are no lemurs in this game. • Useful for pve/pvp. 3. Disclaimer: Placeholder artwork was done by me. Feel free to google me "Herschel Hoffmeyer" 3D artist (LoadedCrysis often uses my artwork for his thumbnails.). I may update the art with something better later. This creature is based off the real-life Ctenospondylus while also pulling inspiration from the Dimetrodon-like dinosaurs seen in the 1959 "Journey to the Center of the Earth." Say hello to one of Earth's first ever land-based apex predators... Common Name: Cteno Species: Ctenospondylus Time: Early Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Territorial Wild The Ctenospondylus is the ground-based apex predator of Scorched Earth and can usually be found basking in the dunes together in groups. While basking, these extremely hostile creatures almost seem to be in a comatose state, absorbing the day's heat through their sails. During the night hours though they can become much more active and hunt for food. When days grow very hot though, it seems to put them in a extremely aggressive and hyperactive state. While in this state, their sails seem to glow very bright orange to show off their prowess, hoping to attract a mate. Domesticated Taming a wild Cteno is impossible but stealing an egg is as easy as stealing milk from a wyvern... almost. These creatures carry around their eggs inside them, so you must forcefully knock out a female, access its inventory, and steal her egg(s) before she wakes up. A fertilized egg is rare and once you steal her egg(s), she quickly wakes up in an enraged state. So have an escape plan hashed out beforehand. Avoid a knock-out attempt during extreme heat as their torpor falls very fast, making it near impossible to knock one out. Once a fertilized egg has been stolen, the baby can be imprinted upon allowing it to be tamed. A domestic Cteno becomes an extremely useful mount for PvP situations, farming polymer, and incubating large amounts of eggs. Combat While in their comatose-basking state, it is best to just avoid them entirely which can be done quite easily. Just don't get too close or you will wake them up. When they are actively pursuing you, don't let them get to close as they can snatch you up with their tongue from a decent distance away, even right off your mount! You must stay even farther away on a flyer as they can quickly ground your tame with a terrifying and disorientating roar. The Ctenospondylus is larger and more powerful than a Rex and if enraged, can outrun most tames. If you must fight one, it is best to kepp your distance and use ranged weaponry. Utility Chameleon/Grapple Tongue: Use it's launching-tongue attack to grab up small and medium dinos and humans. Riders can be directly pulled off most mounts right into the Ctenospondylus' mouth! Once grabbed, they can be carried off or leeched off of, restoring the Cteno's health while depleting the victim's health (much like a Blood Crystal Wyvern). Level up stamina to increase the time it can hold onto its victim. Heat-charged "Metabolic Rage" ability: Cteno's have the ability to rage for a short period when their rage meter is full. This greatly improves their stamina, speed, damage, healing rate, and their sails will glow a bright orange. Daytime hours charge up the rage meter slowly while exposed to direct sunlight. Supercharge the meter by being somewhere hot or by shooting it directly with fire but make sure it is saddled so it takes greatly reduced fire damage. Heat Wave events fill this bar immediately and allow infinite rage while the event is going on. Disorientating Roar: This roar ability, which can only be used while in a Metabolic Raged state, instantly downs all nearby flyers. During PvP, this can be followed up with its grappling tongue ability to pull off the rider for a delicious snack. Use the roar with caution as it will fully drain your Metabolic Rage meter. Organic Polymer & Chitin Farmer/Storage: With a preferred diet of feasting on insects, the Ctenospondylus excels in harvesting large amounts of Organic Polymer and Chitin from creatures like the mantis and scorpion. The spoil times of Organic Polymer are also drastically slowed while stored in the dino's inventory. Level up melee damage to harvest higher amounts from your victims. Encaged Fire and Heat Resistant Saddle: The rider is fully encaged inside the saddle so they cannot be harmed or pulled from the saddle. The saddle also greatly reduces fire damage. Damage Soaker/PvP Aggressor: With a well bred Cteno with high stats in health and stamina, a Cteno can comfortably soak up damage while leeching health off of another dino that has a high health pool as well. When possible, leech off opposing tames to keep your Cteno healthy. If you happen to grapple a player and they die, their body is instantly consumed and their entire inventory is moved to your Cteno's inventory to safely access. Fertilized Egg Incubator: Placing fertilized eggs in its inventory will cause them to automatically start incubating, at a 20% increased rate! The limit to the amount of eggs is only limited to the dino's weight stat so level up weight to hold and incubate a very large amount of eggs. Sand Worm Hunter: Their sails will glow a cool-purplish color warning other Cteno's that a Sand Worm is nearby. Sand Worms will not challenge a wild Cteno but they will come after domestic ones.
  4. I think adding in an extinct variant of the Orthopox Virus would be a cool idea because it allows for PVP to have another aspect to consider with people setting up defenses using chemical weapons. Plus it would act as another tame similar to the Bee where it’s basically immobile in your base but can be farmed for resources and could maybe produce stuff like mutagel or other resources that way it also appeals to PVE players. The taming method could be something unique similar to the fish basket where you would have to make a container of sorts that can hold the virus safely and when you release it in the designated area of the base, it would just come out tamed but you’d have to be wearing hazmat when interacting with it, which gives that armor another benefit outside of the radiation zones. Sidenote- The container to contain the virus should be end game and very difficult to acquire with it being made out of more elusive resources. That way only super advanced players could tame one of these viruses. And you could create a mini lab with safety precautions that way the virus wouldn’t hurt your tribe or dinos. It would be similar to the Giga in the regard that while it’s tamed to you, it very much could still hurt you and your tames in the right circumstances.
  5. WILD The Albertosaurus can often be found surrounded by a pack of troodons these two have a symbiotic relationship with the Albertosaurus fighting off larger predators and the troodons defending the Albert while it sleeps at night. ABILITIES The Albertosaurus can compress and expand its spinal chord ranging from the size of a bary to the size of an allo in its small form the Albertosaurus can jump long distances sprint at high speeds and has a stealth that reduces the aggro of other dinos and gives a small damage reduction, however this form has rather lackluster weight and health with only average melee. In its large form the Albertosaurus has a bleed effect on its attacks as well as a stomp attack that will slow down nearby creatures once this form will also have a super attack similar to a shadowmane. This form lacks stamina and speed but has great melee and health as well as an average weight. TAMING To tame the Albertosaurus you have to sneak up on it while it is sleeping killing the entire troodon pack then you access the Albert's inventory placing an artifact inside upon doing this the Albertosaurus will go into a rage changing into its large form then chasing the survivor then to finish the taming the survivor has to drop hunter trophies as the Albertosaurus gives chase then the Albertosaurus is yours.
  6. There aren’t that many dromeosaurs in ARK Survival Evolved currently with there only being like two in the game that being the Raptor/Utahraptor and the Deinonychus along with the little demon that is the Microraptor which is why I am suggesting to add the Dakotaraptor to ARK Survival Evolved. The Dakotaraptor also known as Dakotaraptor Stenini was an extinct genus of dromeosaurid known from partial skeletons that was unearthed in Harding County, South Dakota, USA in the Hell Creek Formation by paleontologist Robert DePalma in the year 2005 in a bonebed that beared the remains of a variety of dinosaurians and non-dinosaurians and do to it’s rarity in the formation it has been given the nickname as the ghost of the forest. On the Arks the Dakotaraptor also known as Dakotaraptor Brutum meaning brute, beast, or animal in Latin, is a dromeosaur that like the Deinonychus is covered in feathers with it looking similar to a bearded vulture when it comes to coloration and is slightly bigger than the Raptor/Utahraptor being 6 meters or around 19 feet long. It also makes a loud crocodile like bellow similar to the sound of a thunderstorm along with hisses, grunts, growls and a loud guttural roar. It is also able to go quite fast for the creature’s size with it being lean and muscular along with being able to take a lot of damage. It’s bite and claw attacks can also give a bleed effect to things that it is attacking similar to the Deinonychus or Allosaurus. Similar to the Argentavis it can regenerate its health by eating carcasses along with it being able to smell dead bodies and things on low health similar to the Direwolf. It also has a stomp attack and a tail attack along with it being able to latch onto surfaces and creatures similar to the Deinonychus but it can also actually crawl on surfaces much better than the Deinonychus with it being more like the Megalania and the Rock Drake instead of jumping from place to place like the Deinonychus although unlike the Deinonychus it is too big to actually glide but still takes no fall damage do to it’s feathers acting as armor from the fall. It also has a fear roar that scares smaller creatures away such as the Deinonychus and It also has another roar that gives it a new ability called war cry which makes it in raged somewhat similar to the Giganotosaurus with it being able to deal around two or three times more damage to things than normal along with giving it glowing red eyes although unlike the Giganotosaurus it won’t kill you too. You can also craft the saddle for it at level 42 with it’s saddle having two leather pouches at the back similar to the Equus along with some weapons hanging off it like a sword or axe. Also similar to the Deinonychus you need to steal their eggs in order to tame it and while you can find the Deinonychus up on open cliffs, you can find the Dakotaraptor in the dense redwoods and higher up in elevation in more mountainous terrain near the peaks of mountains. You can also find them mostly living alone although you can also rarely find them in lose mobs of three or four compared to the typical wolf like pack hunting that you always see in dromeosaurs.
  7. All that needs to be done is make this dang thing tameable now, the ark has evolved So far, and everything hidden in caves, that there is no reason to not change this simple factor! making it breedable but only with allied tribes, only one per tribe can be out at any given time.
  8. Ladon is closely related to the wyverns, that has been seen on the arks. But Ladon is found in the vast oceans. They lay their eggs in seaweed nest in the deeps of the caverns of the ocean floors. Not tamable, breedable, Rideable
  9. Gualong Wucaii means literally crown dragon, this Chinese antecesor of the T.Rex is theorized to be one of the first tyrannosaurids and the one that started its rivalry with the ceratopsids. So, here's my concept for Guanlong: Common name: Guanlong Species: Guanlong Dracotyrannus Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Carnivorous Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Guanlong Dracotyrannus is a medium-sized Ark carnivore being slightly smaller than the Raptor. These hunters go in packs and tighter they're not afraid to stalk creatures larger than themselves. But don't be fooled, these carnivores know how to fend for themselves. They are proud creatures and will not give up easily, but despite this they're curious by nature and can be surprised by fire leaving a small period where the survivor can run away because the Guanlong will be fascinated with the fire and/ or other bright elements that capture their attention. Domesticated: Despite the Guanlong's pride, it has shown incredible loyalty to its survivor. Ithey may seem small, but a pack of these predators is to be feared. In fact, this predator will face larger creautres in a pack, and if it loses it, it will not stop fighting until its enemy falls, thus honoring the fame of its descendant, the T.Rex . Taming: Guanlong dracotyrannus is a proud hunter and will not accept being tamed unconscious. because of this, only survivors above level 40 are worthy of taming. To tame this creature, you have to separate the desired specimen from its group and once this is done, distract the creature with light and feed it with its favorite food, then the Guanlong will emit a roar and attack the survivor, but there is no need to worry since the Guanlong will damage the survivor very slightly and its difficult for it to kill you. Then yo must fight back the Guanlong (it's recommended to hit it with your fists so as not to kill it) and after a while of "fighting" teh Guanlong will roar and stop attacking you, that is when you must take advantage and feed the creature, then repeat this process until it tames. His favourite food is the excepcional kibble, followed by the prime mutton, cooked prime mutton, prime meat, prime fish meat, cooked prime meat, cooked prime, fish, raw meat, raw fish, cooked meat, cooked fish, dried prime meat, and dried meat. Skills: Main attack (Left click): Bite Secondary attack (Right click): Pounce (if the creature is small, it will immobilize it on the ground and bite it as if it were a raptor) (if the creature is larger and the secondary attack button is maintained, the Guanlong will bite and scratch in a long period like deino always consuming 75% of its stamina) Alternative attack (C): Roar: The Guanlong will emit a roar that increases the attack and damage resistance to allied creatures. If the guanlong have pack bonus it also applies a damage reduction to the enemy. Alternate attack (LCTRL): Ambush (The Guanlong crouches and reduces its movement speed and noise making it harder to detect) Jump (Space bar) Passive ability: Luminous attraction (The Guanlog is attracted to light sources, when it is in the wild it will stare at the light source for 15 seconds before going back to what it was doing, if the source is a torch or a lumipet it will look and pass by, but if you carry them, it will attack you until it kills you leaving the pet unharmed unless the pet attacks the Guanlong then it will kill it to. Wild and tamed Guanlong are immune to fear. 10. Description: The Ogresuchus is a small reptile that lives in the wide plains, forests, and any place where large egg laying herbivores are found. This creature can be used as a shoulder pet and can be found in deep shades of blue, brown, green and blacks and greys. Think of a creature with the looks of a kaprosucus and about the size of a Pegomastax...or more of a scrunched kapro with a shorter face and stubbier tail. Abilities: When worn as a shoulder pet it cools you down from the hottest climates like beaches, deep forest's and the deserts on Scorched earth due to its cold blood. It can also be set to wandering and will collect all eggs within a certain radius storing them in its inventory saving you time. When the creature is wandering it will not be attacked by any creatures unless it steals their egg therefor will be attacked and chased until it runs to far out of range. It will also bring back eggs from your dinosaurs ready to be made into kibble or hatched into new dino's. Taming: This creature is tamed passively with its preferred foods being large eggs, superior kibble and raw prime meat. If hurt will run and your taming process will start over. 11. Introduction: The Ark’s dry terrain and oceans both have their apex predators, but the sky is up for grabs….. Wild: A large pterosaur from the late cretacious, Thanatosdrakon is a terrifying and powerful creature to face alone, as its habitat in high altitudes presents a daunting challenge to bridle. The only survivors to ever have seen Thanatosdrakon have done so upon the back of aerial mounts, higher up than even the Ark’s Quetzal dares to venture. Even if one is brave enough to get close to a Thana, these majestic beasts of the air mate for life, and their partner will always be close by to send nosy survivors fleeing for their lives. Domesticated: The Thanatosdrakon’s strong wings keep it suspended in the air for most of its life in the wild, and its decently-sized body can withstand moderate weight, enabling it to carry large-scale supplies across long distances. Unlike the Ark’s only other fearsome aerial predator, wyverns, Thanatosdrakon does not have a ranged attack, though its sharp beak can jab lethal wounds into its victims that one may bleed to death from before help can be sought. However, even a domesticated Thanatosdrakon will only deal maximum damage if it is protecting its mate, in which case it will violently seek to spill the blood of any potential threats without hesitation. A mate-boosted Thana can rival even the terrifying Giganotosaurus in ferocity. Thanas prove to be excellent offensive tames as well, as their ability to snatch riders from the backs of their tames in midair leaves both the survivor and tame vulnerable. While one attacks the survivor ensnared in its talons, its mate is able to finish off any pursuing tames. Behavior: As an apex predator of the sky, Thanatosdrakon has few enemies, and will not hesitate to make any creature that dares to near it a meal for itself and its mate. Thanas have little reason to show themselves at lower altitudes unless they are hunting, and almost never land. Wild Thanas are extremely intolerant of humans straying into their territory, and become extremely aggressive on sight. Thanatosdrakon will only pursue survivors until they have sufficiently chased them out of their domain, however, and will give up the chase just below most mountain peaks. If a pair of Thanas encounter a particularly stubborn survivor that sticks around for them to eat, one will render the survivor defenseless and arch into an elegant dive to seize their prey straight from the back of any mount, while the other keeps the survivor’s tamed companions occupied. Appearance: Slightly smaller but more agile and vicious than the wyvern, Thanatosdrakon possesses massive, powerful wings that dwarf those of the Quetzal, making it a graceful yet formidable aerial opponent. It has a long neck which enables it to attack opponents at long range and on all sides. Its sharp beak backed by a powerful neck can deal fatal puncture wounds to its victims. It is feathered over most of its body, often pigmented paler colors to blend with the sky. Taming: Thanatosdrakon is extremely intolerant of humans, and even when survivors display their dominance by knocking it out of the sky and offering food, they will only comply if their mate is with them, even still only for a short period of time. Thanas tamed from the wild will only allow survivors to mount them while they are close to their mate, or until the female lays an egg. If the pair is separated too far from one another, both will turn on their captor(s) and attempt to kill them. If they are kept together, however, they will remain docile until an egg is laid. Then, both parents turn hostile, and the survivor’s only hope is to either kill the Thanas or lead them back up into the sky. They may not become tameable again until they de-aggro. Even though the parents return to their wild nature, the survivor is left with a Thanatosdrakon egg to hatch with no strings attached, as it will bond with its owner from birth. Attacks/Utility: - Jab: The Thana’s primary attack, a brutish jab of its beak that deals decent damage and bleed if mate boosted. Both an aerial and terrestrial attack. - Knockback: The Thana’s massive wings can produce small whirlwinds that knock back most small-medium opponents. Both an aerial and terrestrial attack. - Swoop & Grab: Thanatosdrakon can hone in on close-by targets (both on the ground and in the air) and swoop down to grab survivors off of their mounts, ensnaring them in a brutal attack that deals bleed damage (if mate-boosted) for a few seconds before releasing them (similar to that of a thylacoleo). Parachutes are a must-have if there is to be any hope of surviving the fall if a flying tame is not close-by. Aerial attack only. - Screech: A deafening trill that alerts everything in close proximity to the Thana that it's coming for blood. The sound of the Thana’s screech will send any creature (or survivor) within range into a frantic state of panic. (Similar to that of a yutyrannus.) - Cliff Cling: Able to attach to cliff faces or large, vertical flat surfaces. - Dive/Glide: Able to dive down and gain momentum before pulling up to glide at higher speeds. Essentially, Thanatosdrakon would be the powerful flying creature Ark needs to make its skies actually dangerous and encourage players to use land mounts. It wouldn’t be confined to trenches like wyverns, just around high peaks just above Quetzal spawns. It would make it THERE but not at every turn to be annoying, just as a looming threat. It should hit hard (especially when mate-boosted when it can deal bleed damage) but have a poor health pool, as realistically its only predator would be big land carnivores which it’s meant to hit hard enough to combat, anyway. So no need for a ton of health. Because it would be such a powerful creature (that can FLY) its taming method is meant to be a bit out there and difficult. You would need a strong flying mount beforehand (which you need to go wyvern trench-diving) or something with a platform saddle to chain bola it. I imagine it would have moderate torpidity, certainly not nearly as high as that of a Giga because you need a male and female at the same time for the tame to be successful. Pairs would likely spawn at the same level together to avoid getting one good level and one trash level, it’d either be two good levels or two bad. The wild ones would be tamed by the knockout method, and you’d keep them until you bred them and they laid a fertile egg. Then they’d turn aggressive and you’d either need to kill them or lead them back into the sky. Thanas are meant to be super mate-reliant, because Ark doesn’t have anything like that besides normal mate boost for every creature. Yes, that makes them a pain, but if people want things like bomber saddles (I don’t, but I know the community is pushing for it), it needs to be at least more difficult than tropeognathus, because otherwise they’re useless. I think the difficulty of taming balances their potential for abilities, like dealing bleed, being able to pick up the same array of creatures a Quetzal can, snatching off mounts and tussling like thylacoleos but in the air, maybe an upgraded yutyrannus scare roar, diving, and hanging from cliffs. (I don’t expect they’ll all be abilities, but they’re cool suggestions.) definitely think they should have the snatch attack and be able to carry things if nothing else though. I just liked the idea of a large, dangerous predator in the sky to deter people from just, vibing up in the air to escape the dangers of land.
  12. Though we have a Direwolf and it wouldn't be hard to make one look like a fox, the Giant Fox could be smaller than a Direwolf, but obviously bigger than your every day average fox. So, I'm posting this here for the giant fox. A Giant Fox would make a pretty cool addition to the game and I have a few ideas for not only its abilities, but stats in relation to its bigger counterpart - Direwolves, and if it would need a saddle or not. So, here is the ability: Creature: Giant Fox Biome: Any, but most in Redwoods Abilities: High Jump (3 wall high), Creature/Item Bag location (Super Hearing and smell), and Stealth Ridable: Yes Breedable: Yes Tame Method: You have to throw meat at the ground and let it eat it but if he see you he will not eat the meat and attack you Saddle: Optional (Can wear a saddle but does not need one to ride, like the Equus) Well, this is my take on it and personally I'd love to see a Giant Fox creature added to the game!! Also this is open for discussion as well as a suggestion. Thank you all!!!
  13. Tought we have the purlovia wich is inspired by racoon well look more like ancestor of raccons the giant racoon is bigger and stronger at the difference that he don't go into the ground. So, I propose to make a racoons but maybe instead of a little one like the image above make a giant that will be rideable this would be the only thing I would change about it. The giant racoon will be very good to travel trought the world fast or to transport stuff due to is high weight, but you can also use it for combat. So here is the ability: Creatue: Giant Racoon (I take suggestion for other name) Species: Procyon Lotor Time: unknown Diet: omnivore (prefer berry) Temperament: passive Passive abilities: Steal (when on the Racoon you can open the hive and beaver dam to take the thing in it without been seen) Stealth (when you are on the dino and the dino himself has the same ability has the guillie suit to hide from other dinos) Carrier (Weight is reduce by 25% in is inventory) Ability 1: night vision (since racoon can see in the dark you can activate a night vision that will allow you to see 40% brighter than usual, only at night) Ability 2: Climbing (You can activate the climbing mode wigh allow him to climb tree and wall as the same as thylacoleo) Rideable: Yes (need saddle) My idea for the saddle is that it can have two bag with 10 emplacement one on both side that will not count on the weight off the racoon Breadable: Yes Taming: You give him food in is inventory in is inventory nd he will go to the nearby water source to clean is food like racoon does in reel life sometime I take suggestions if you have idea, thank you all.
  14. https://prehistoric-wiki.fandom.com/wiki/Tyrannophontes The giant mantis shrimp is anything but a shrimp, like other chitinous residents of the ark the giant mantis shrimp is several times larger than it's real world counterpart. Reaching the size of around 2 grown men. In the wild giant mantis shrimp can be found in many of the arks oceans, however they are also very territorial amd will defend this territory vigorously, however it will not leave the range of said territory and is a very solitary creature guarding it's nest either by its self or with a mate. Survivors looking to obtain one as a mount must first steal an egg from a nest by either killing the defenders or swiftly swimming with a mount to capture the egg. Though the giant mantis shrimp is a very maneuverable swimmer able to swim in any direction it's speed is slow compared to most ocean denizens though still several times faster than a survivor in scuba. That said the giant mantis shrimp is capable of immense bursts of speed using their massive tails to burst near instantly several meters striking and stunning survivors and tames with their massive clubs on their pincers dismounting riders from their tames. The giants mantis shrimp can only do this a few or more times before requiring resting their tail. Strikes like these can often knockout a creature all together leaving them helpless to the ambush predator. One of the biggest draws to obtaining or killing a giant mantis shrimp are it's eyes, once harvested the giant lenses of the creatures eyes convert ultraviolet and infrared light into visible light making it easy to see in dark or particle obstructed places (exactly like the snow owls predator vision) which must be how the creature is able to survive in dark and murky muddy waters. Once harvested the eyes can be crafted into a visor with chitin and attached to a chitin helmet (only attachable to chitin helmet) once attached if the helmet were to break the visor is destroyed with it as there is no way to fix the lenses once they've broken.(DEVS THE THERMAL VISOR IS THE MAIN DRAW FOR THIS CREATURE DO NOT CHANGE THIS PART WHATEVER YOU DO!!! MAKE IT EXPENSIVE OR REQUIRE SPECIAL RESOURCES TO CRAFT, WHATEVER, JUST DO NOT REMOVE THIS FEATURE!!!) One other reason to tame and breed giant mantis shrimp is for it's shell fragments (like megachelon shell fragments) survivors that breed out specimens with high virility (high health creatures drop more shell fragments, chainsaw works best) can reap the rewards of easy chitin production through slaughtering of the creature and once the shell fragments have been grinded down. This has led survivors nicknaming them "ovis of the sea" referring to their relative rareness and the act of slaughtering them for resources. On land mantis shrimp are near helpless only able to move as fast as a survivor can walk and due to their aquatic nature can only breed underwater yet most survivors prefer to breed giant mantis shrimp rather than hunt them due to their spread out population, the vibrant colors that result from this augment their already very vibrant colors. As a mount the maneuverability giant mantis shrimp brings lend it well to building underwater as the creature does not drift in the water and it's neutral boyancy allows it to move unhindered. Hunting with the mantis shrimp brings benefits against cnyderia as the jellyfish is one of it's main food sources able to harvest great amounts of biotoxin, it also obtains a lot of anglergel from angler fish and easily gathers great amounts of pearls as it's pincer clubs easily crack open the clams that hold these pearls. To a lesser degree the giant mantis shrimp can gather wood and stone and the like with it's powerful claws and clubs making it a serviceable underwater resource gatherer.
  15. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paleolithic_dog Shepherd - when equipped with a saddle you can pet Canis Lupus Domesticus it will sit down and can act as a mobile "leash" for wandering dinos. Search and Tame - When equipped with a saddle with a sled that can be used to move knocked out tames equal to Argentina carrying capabilities. Canis Lupus Domesticus can be given the dermis of dinos and set to "Search and Tame" seek out max level dinos matching the dermis's in it's inventory when it finds one it will circle the dino to keep threats at bay Search and Hunt - When equipped with a saddle Canis Lupus Domesticus can be given the dermis of dinos and set to "Search and Hunt" Canis Lupus Domesticus will then begin hunting wild dinos that match the dermis of creatures in its inventory. Search and Rescue- when equipped with a saddle adds a sled behind Canis Lupus Domesticus and can be given the dermis's your tames. When set to "Search and Rescue" Canis Lupus Domesticus will search for that tame that the dermis belongs to. Canis Lupus Domesticus will return with the tame in tow. Search and Retrieve- When set to "Search and Retrieve" Canis Lupus Domesticus will collect near by items, drops, and bags, Spawning - Canis Lupus Domesticus generally spawn in location where Ovis are found. May even be found protecting the Ovis from natural predators. Pack bonus- Canis Lupus Domesticus recieve a pack bonus when they are with other Canis Lupus Domesticus and dire wolves Taming -Passive Tame- crouch or maybe sit emote near the Canis Lupus Domesticus. Canis Lupus Domesticus will become interested in the survivor. Initially circling the survivor, eventually coming up to you. Give it kibble or pet it depending on what it wants. It will back away and circle again. This repeats until tamed when tamed it will sit down in front of you. Taming one and it will be a Survivors Best Friend
  16. Draconis Rex Introduction: The Ark’s three most iconic tyrants have small reflections of themselves that dwell among its survivors on tameable scales. Araneo are the spawn of the Broodmother; Gigantopithicus are the minions of Megapithicus; but the mighty and regal dragon has no spawn amidst the Ark aside from its bipedal cousin, the wyvern. Wild: A medium-sized, quadrupedal draconid, Draconis Rex is believed to be a myth by many survivors, as its habitat in high altitudes presents a daunting challenge to bridle. The only survivors to ever have seen Draconis Rex have done so upon the back of aerial mounts, higher up than even the Ark’s Quetzal dares to venture. Domesticated: The Draconis Rex’s strong wings keep it suspended in the air for most of its life in the wild, and its decently-sized body can withstand moderate weight, enabling it to carry large-scale supplies across long distances. Unlike its wyvern cousin, the Draco is four-legged and can sprint even when grounded. Also unlike the wyvern, Dracos lack breath attacks, though its serrated fangs are a force to be reckoned with. However, even a domesticated Draconis Rex will only deal maximum damage if it is protecting its mate, in which case it will violently seek to spill the blood of any potential threats without hesitation. Dracos prove to be excellent offensive tames as well, as their ability to snatch riders from the backs of their tames in midair leaves both the survivor and tame vulnerable. Appearance: Slightly smaller but more agile and vicious than the wyvern, Draconis Rex possesses massive, powerful wings that dwarf those of its bipedal counterpart, making it a graceful yet formidable aerial opponent. Atop its regal head is a crown of sharp, sturdy horns that aid it in combat. Dracos have bodies covered in tough, plated scales, and pointed spikes line their spines, though males of the species will have longer, more dense spikes and bigger horns than females. Taming: Draconis Rex is extremely intolerant of humans, and even when survivors display their dominance by knocking it out of the sky and offering food, they will only comply if their mate is with them, even still only for a short period of time. Dracos tamed from the wild will only allow survivors to mount them while they are close to their mate, or until the female lays a fertile egg. Both an aerial and terrestrial attack. - Wing Flap Stun: The Draco’s massive wings can produce small whirlwinds that knock back most opponents and leave them stunned for a short period of time. Both an aerial and terrestrial attack. - Swoop & Grab: Often used in addition to the wing stun, Draconis Rex can hone in on close-by targets (both on the ground and in the air) and swoop down to grab survivors off of their mounts, ensnaring them in a brutal attack (similar to that of a thylacoleo) that deals bleed damage (if mate-boosted) for a few seconds before releasing them. Parachutes are a must-have if there is to be any hope of surviving the fall if a flying tame is not close-by. Aerial attack only. - Charge: On the ground, Dracos may use a charge attack (sometimes after stunning a target with wing stun) that deals large amounts of damage. - Roar (Vanity): A roar solely for vanity in which the mighty Draconis Rex flairs its spines and releases a deafening roar to display its dominance.
  17. Man's best friend. The Amphicyon is a canid from Early Miocene period. Standing 6ft high and weighing 400 pounds, this isn't a dog to mess with. Although they are passive creatures, you don't want to anger them. This well, muscled beast has incredibly strong legs. Which can stun and knockout players in one swipe. With a powerful neck and sharper teeth than a wolf, this tame can harvest more meat than any other creature! Please upvote. We need dogs 🐕
  18. While we have many different raptors such as our iconic “raptor” and deinonychus. We don’t really have what is a larger apex raptor on the size capacity of our apex carnivores such as the Allosaurus, Rexes and Spino. While it would still be the smallest of the Apex dinosaur category. I still believe it will be a fun addition to add to our list of main boss dinosaurs. Common Name: Utahraptor Species: (Utahraptor Ostrommaysi) Time: Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Basic description: The Utahraptor (utahraptor ostrommaysi) was one of the largest Dromaeosaurids that lived in North America during the Early Cretaceous period ranging around 16-23ft (4.8-7 metres). Utahraptor Dossier: Wild: When I thought outrunning and surviving attacks of raptors was hard enough… it wasn’t long til I stumbled into something far larger… deadlier… and just as smart. A pack of utahraptors is a challenge in itself. Further study shows how fascinating and how intimidating such creatures are both in broad daylight and nighttime. They often roam in packs of 3-4. Capable of tackling prey 3-4 times their size with confidence and finesse. With their calls echoing through the air, they are capable to holding their own with the apex carnivores in the region. The more they are challenged the harder they are to take down. Making them either a very deadly threat or a capable ally. Taming: Utahraptors being highly intelligent they have also a very interesting method of taming. To gain a Utahraptor’s trust you need to provide it with food in the form of corpses (like the Carcha or Fjordhawk). This can be done with a pack of Utahs or a single individual. For a pack, the alpha Utah will sniff with a curious bark and eye you and the body that you are dragging. (Same if it’s only one). The alpha will eat the body and gain trust depending on the type of dino it’s been given. Larger animals give more trust. Once the trust is full, the Utahs form an alliance hunt. If the alpha approves the rest obey. As you will be given the opportunity to go on a pack hunt for a certain time limit allowing you to tame the alpha Utah. Over this course you are to lead a certain amount of creatures to the utahraptors in which they will kill. However, you are not allowed to have any other tames next to the Utahs. Any apex animal (rex, giga, Spino) will startle and break the trust. Any lower tier dinosaur will be deemed potential prey and be attacked (lower tier carnivores like Carnos, herbivores). Being one of the pack you must be able to provide the group meals yourself. This will mean you will often have to run on foot and lure prey to the Utahs. Putting trust in them is the same as them putting trust in you. After the alpha Utah is tamed. Should there be more pack members, the next in command will allow you time to do the same method and continues. (Initial tamed Utahs will not break the trust of other wild Utahs of the pack until they are podded or within a certain range away from the rest). Domesticated: Utahraptors are diverse and being intelligent. They will provide both utility and power to your arsenal. They have two different stances. “Assault Mode” and “Tactical Mode” (Can be swapped like how the Desmodus can turn on and off heat vision) Passive: “Apex Adrenaline” when faced against apex predators or animals much larger than itself. Utahraptors gain a slight personal movement speed boost and receives less damage. This includes when fighting against bosses. Assault mode: This stance makes the Utah a deadly weapon focussed on attack. It has its initial bite, primary attack. It’s secondary is a jump back kick which also sends it backwards slightly. This ability causes a “Dazed” debuff and causes the target to be slowed. It’s third skill is a call which doesn’t affect many creatures except for those categorised under medium tier dinosaurs like Carnos, Trikes, etc. This causes “Intimidation” which reduces the target’s melee by a certain percentage. Tactical Mode: The stance causes Utahraptor to use more supportive and strategic. Similar to how it has the initial bite. This bite will be significantly weaker. Except this one now has “Weakening” the bites cause the dino to lose stamina and while this debuff is active, the target has less stamina recovery out of battle and also when exhausted it will also prevent the target from using attacks. (E.g if a giga person was to spam the bite over and over. This debuff prevents them from being able to do so should they run out of stamina.) A balance for pvp. It’s secondary is now a grab. This ability allows the raptor to pick up smaller target in its mouth. While in the Utah’s mouth, players can either bite to hurt the target in their jaws or press the secondary skill again to throw them a certain distance. The third skill which was the call now changes to a “Call to Arms” any tame within the roar radius now gains a new buff. This skill now gives allies reduced stamina consumption and increased health regeneration. (This won’t heal like the owl or daedon, more increases their natural healing). Anything classified within the dromaesaurid family such as raptors, deinonychus will also gain the Utah’s passive. Wild raptors and deinonychus hearing this call will become your allies temporarily like how yuty can ally Carnos. Utahraptor also has the ability to jump significantly high. Capable of reaching the height of a giga’s head or slightly higher. Strategy: For PVE, the Utahraptor is a late-game dinosaur tame that boosts both power to the tribe’s arsenal and tactical ability. Utahs are made to fight dinosaurs significantly more challenging. Meaning a beneficial tame to use against bosses and a tame able to hold their own decently against the apex carnivores which can ruin a person’s day. Utahraptors rank potentially at the lowest or mid among the apex carnivores. Being slightly smaller than an allosaurus when it comes to size, but it would be faster than all of them. Having the speed slightly faster than a yutyrannus, and against bosses and other larger carnivores this speed increases. However, their utilities rank them among Rexes, Spinos and Yutys being the second apex carnivore to hunt intentionally in a pack. Pvp: Utahraptors are specialised for being teamwork assets. Having an assault mode to slow enemies. Used for both offense and defence. While the tactical ability allows people who can time their skill right, to potentially grab or ambush people off their dino saddles. Kidnapping and making a quick getaway, or positioning them a more favourable way in a battle. Such debuffs like “Weakening” also keeps players in mind to play carefully. Since it reduces stamina and prevents the target to become so exhausted they are unable to move. This can balance ways where many people often take advantage of the exhaustion trade off to torpor like giga bites. Making people think twice before taking on a Utahraptor. (Personal note: While I do know this isn’t a dinosaur that is “Unique” in terms of concept. I think that there isn’t really a dromaesaurid that has an aura like our other carnivores. While Deinonychus has proven its worth among boss fights. It lacks the size to display an absolute presence on the battlefield. Let me know what you think)
  19. The Giraffatitan (similar to a brachiosaurus) would have a ability have a giant crushing attack using its two front legs aswell as a small knock back attack using its tail and will have the ability to reduce weight on wood gathering to make it a good harvester and a decent pvp dino but would not be given a platform saddle. these creatures would spawn near mountain biomes and would require to tranq it out but would have a similar torpor to a giga but once tamed it can be a useful Dino to dominate against most carnivores of the ark. The Giraffatitan would take a small amount of reduced damage taken against any attack dealt but a carnivore but will still get bleed attacked on which makes ir quite weak against dinos with a bleed attack. The Giraffatitan will also be given a roar that will fear any small-medium sized creature that attack it as for the big creatures it may take serveral roars like a yuturanus to be able to scare it off but till then it will help reduce the damage on the attack given by that target the Giraffatitan will not have any pack buffs and will be a uneasy tame to find similar to quetzals and finally this enormous beast will spawn on all maps except abberation gen 2 and scorched earth but would be hard to find on extinction level for saddle: 90 not for bosses great tank against turrets herbivore
