Pentaceratops Imperialis, Impenetrable Bulwark
PieTheMath posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Pentaceratops imperialis [Impenetrable Bulwark] Heavy Tanking Herbivore A large ceratopsian with an even larger head, Pentaceratops are quite the sight to see in the wild. Often traveling in tightly knit herds, Pentaceratops are docile to everything except the largest carnivores. Should the herd come under threat by a massive predator, they will lash out aggressively, easily being able to best their foes. When tamed, Pentaceratops serve as an excellent war mount as well as base defense, being able to form sturdy walls should a tribe come into ownership of a group of them. In combat they can employ this skill to form an impenetrable shield wall, allowing their war band to march forward free of threat from enemy guns and cannons. Defensively, these massive beasts can from extensive bulwarks to shield bases and anything their tribe so chooses. Abilities [Passive] Safety In Numbers When in a group of 3 or more, Pentaceratops receives a defense boost [Ability 1] Stance Change Pentaceratops changes stances, as the name implies. There are a total of 4 stances, Bulwark, Marching Wall, Battering Ram, and Neutral. -Neutral: Base wild stance, no stat changes. -Bulwark: Pentaceratops lowers its body to the ground, laying down with it's huge frill acting as a wall blocking incoming damage for the rider and any tames or structures behind its massive frill. While in this stance Pentaceratops cannot move and damage to the head in this stance would heal Pentaceratops and charge up its Battering Ram stance. When in this stance other Pentaceratops may "lock up", forming a very durable wall. -Marching Wall: Pentaceratops lock up in a line formation, their frills forward as they march. Damage is greatly reduced and any damage taken or dealt by Pentaceratops charges up its Battering Ram stance. -Battering Ram: Upon charging its gauge sufficiently, all Pentaceratops in the Bulwark/Marching Wall formation charge forward, entering their offensive stance. Their damage is boosted in this stance, making them a very credible threat. Pentaceratops does increased damage to structures in this stance, making it an excellent frontliner or seige beast. [Ability 2] Taunt Pentaceratops lets out a loud roar, stamping its feet on the ground and shaking its massive frill in a threat display. This taunt would function like the magmasaur, drawing aggro to Penta so it or its allies can finish them off. Attacks [Attack 1] Headbutt Slow headbutt that does heavy damage and knockback. Disabled in Bulwark mode. In Battering Ram this attack does enhanced damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 2] Light Stomp Directional light stomp, light damage and knockback. Disabled in Bulwark mode. [Attack 3] Heavy Stomp A heavy AOE stomp, does heavy damage and little knockback. Disabled in Bulwark and Marching Shield mode. In Battering Ram this attack does enhanced damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 4] Charge Only available in Battering Ram and Neutral mode. Does heavy damage and high knockback. When in Battering Ram this attack does heavy damage to structures and constructs. [Attack 5] Head Sweep Only available in Bulwark and Marching Shield mode. Does little damage and exceptional knockback. Saddles Base Saddle A normal saddle, leather and metal. Pentaceratops is ridden on a seat strapped to the side of its body, allowing the rider to see. Heavy Armor Pentaceratops’s entire front half is covered in plate armor, providing exceptional protection. Art and ability concepts by Falcon9/PrimevalArtist on twitter- 1 reply

The Dracorex is a new Creature to be introduced in Ark Survival Ascended. This Creature is roughly the size of a Utahraptor and has unique skills and abilities unlike anything you’ve seen before, I have decided on the Dracorex as my Creature submission to add some more variety among the Dinos. We have only the 1 Pachycepholosaurid in ark and it’s pretty.. lacklustre, This new Beast and its taming method and abilities are in my opinion some of the Strangest and coolest that there is! Additionally, The Dracorex’s name means “Dragon king” what better nickname for a creature introduced in a fantasy map? Habitat: The Dracorex Can be found Both in and outside The Dragon Trench on Ragnarok, Either inside the trench itself, or around the outer area of the Dragon trench often appearing in pairs or by themselves. Diet: These Beast are Herbivores munching on any berrys and seeds. Temperament: Docile, they’ll chill out with you and won’t attack, unless provoked by attacking them, their friends or by stealing their eggs. Taming method: this is where the fun begins, and where the name, “Dragon king” starts to shine, to tame a Dracorex first you must find and isolate one from any other nearby Dracorex. Then. You must drop a Wyvern egg of any of the 4 Core elements Fire, Lightning, Poison, ice, The Dracorex will then Smash open the egg by ramming into it, Destroying the egg and absorbing the element of the dragon egg through its many horns on its face. The higher level the Egg is your Dracorex smashes the Higher its Taming bar will rise. Taming effectiveness is determined by how much Damage Your Dracorex has sustained, so keep it safe! Depending on what type of eggs you let it smash. and how many of them for example 6 poison Eggs and 2 fire eggs then your Dracorex will gain the “Poison Element” and Become a “Poison Dracorex”. With the powers of a poison Wyvern, it can blast Poison clouds from its horns. With the powers of a fire Wyvern, it basically becomes a living Flamethrower, with the powers of an Ice Wyvern it can Freeze Oppenents with a steam of cold air from its nostrils. And With the powers of a lightning Wyvern can shoot a stream of lighting from its horns. the basic idea of the Dracorex (Dragon king) is that it can basically mimic the powers of the dragons, but in a smaller and more compact body, making this Dino Really useful for base defence and cave Exploration and once tamed, you can let it smash any more Wyvern eggs by enabling “Egg smashing” in the Behaviour section, where it will smash any Wyvern egg in a nearby radius. Upon smashing say, 3 eggs of any element of your choosing it will change the Dracorexs element to match the eggs it has smashed, so your not locked into any 1 element once tamed. in terms of speed, the Dracorex can run roughly as fast as a Smilodon or Raptor, building up speed as it sprints, stamina barely drains as it sprints too, so it can easily go long Distances. Once you’ve reached top speed, you can use the Primary attack button to instantly destroy all obstacles in your path, Trees boulders you name it. The Dracorex is also able to use this Headbutt to deal major damage to Structures, it Can Damage up to metal grade, through it admittedly won’t take too much health out of metal structures. But anything Stone grade or below and your in for a bad (or good) time due to the Dracorex’s status of “Dragon king” it takes Half the amount of damage from All Wyvern/dragon attacks. (Including the Dragon boss) additionaly, when riding the Dracorex all wild Wyverns will ignore you unless provoked. The Dracorex also does Double Damage to all Wyverns, Rex’’s, Gigas and Charcaradontosaurus to solidify its place as “King” And you can ride around on the Dracorex without the need for a saddle. But you can Craft “Dracorex armour” from Wyvern bones. Which can be Harvested from dead wyverns. This Armour is bone Like in Appearance and Reduces all Damage from all creatures and players. but like Player Armour it has Durabilty and will need to be fixed with more dragon bones once Damaged or broken. The Dracorex also comes with “Recoil” effect, Similar to Kentrosaurus, where attacking it from the front will cause the spikes on its face to damage all those who make contact. Baby Dracorex will have the same element as their parents. If you breed a lighting Dracorex and a fire Dracorex, you’ll get a Fire/Lighting Dracorex. Which has both the powers of a Fire and Lighting Dracorex. With you being able to choose which elements you want to use while in the Radial Wheel either while riding the Dracorex or when just opening the Radial wheel when standing next to the Dracorex and looking at it. Please Consider this Herbivorous Powehouse to be added to ARK! We need more strong Herbivores and I think the Dracorex is Perfect for the job

Vishnuictis Species: Vishnuictis gracilis Time: Pliocene - Pleistocene Diet: Carni/Omnivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: Commonly found on plains of Ragnarok, Vishnuictis is large carnivore/omnivore that is mainly nocturnal. Probably for the purpose of avoiding large theropods. Also lots of animals seem to be repelled by its strong scent. After all my observations, I think it is some kind of large civet. It's all fluffy and cute, but be alert - don't get too close, cause it tends to be aggressive towards survivors. I thought I could scare it with fire, similar to some other mammal predators, but it didn't seem bothered, more like it was interested in my torch. And even let me pet his back! Domesticated: Some northern Tribes of Ragnarok say that Vishnuictis was born for war. They use armored saddles to ride them into battles. Other survivors found its very good, keen smell useful when finding strong animals. I even drank a beverage from (and now don't be disgusted) the berries from its feces. It was not very tasty, but I felt filled with energy afterwards, like I could run for miles and not be tired. Maybe it has something to do with its good endurance on long distance travels, where it really shines, in my opinion. Abilities: Bite/Claw attack (L click/R click) Scent dispersion - Vishnuictis will start to leave a trail of scent behind him. The scent will hover there for some time and will repel wild or other tribes' creatures away from your location. (on C) Sniffing - Vishnuictis sniff the air, and mark high level creatures for you (on X) “Coffee brew” - If you feed Vishnuictis tintoberry, it will produce a unique kind of feces you can then use to craft a special brew (in a crock pot or cooker ) that will give you a small speed boost buff. Taming method: As the dossier description suggests, you need to approach Vishnuictis with a source of fire, during night. It would come closer to you and let you pet it. Then you can feed it specific items because it is a very picky eater (similar to Moschops). Treats suggestions: honey, beer, wyvern milk, citronal or veggie cake After that, you can equip it with an armored or light, more stealthy saddle. Armored saddle would give you and your Vishnuictis better protection, whereas the Light saddle would act like a ghillie.
