Gigatitan the giant wing clipper and anti flyer glider
Matteu posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Gigatitan In real life gigatitan is an extinct titanopteran insect from triassic kyrgystan. It had a wingspan of up to 40 centimeters and was unable to fly, but it could glide. In ark It will be found hanging on the sides of high cliffs waiting for unsuspecting flyers to pass. When it spots one it will lift off and glide towards it grabbing it and attempting to crush its wings. This depends on the weight stat of both creatures if the weight stat is very low gigatitan will instantly crush the wings and the flyer will have to glide to the ground and will not be able to lift off where gigatitan will come to claim its prize. After it is done it will simply climb back up a cliff and wait for its next meal. However if the weight stat is similar there will be a struggle where both parties involved are able to pull each other into different directions. If the weight stat is way highter than gigatitans it will eventually have to let go. It will look like a giant locust with spikes on its legs for grabbing. Abilities wing crushing gigatitan will lock onto the wings of a flying creature glider or onto a managarmer and attempt to crush its wings. If this succeeds the target will be forced to make an emergency landing and wont be able to get back into the air for several minutes. Wing flap every 10 seconds gigatitan can flap its wings to gain a little speed and altitude. Wing flash it will reflect the sun with its wings and this works like a flashbang to anything looking into that direction. Taming gigatitan probably burrowed its eggs into plants so to get one you will have to cut down trees until you find a gigatitan larvae you will then have to feed the larvae living animals until it is big. But similarly to a reaper baby they will attack you. Also don’t forget about their protective mothers that hang on the nearby buildings. You can pick these larvae up but they will attempt to struggle by throwing spit in your face to blind you and will also knock you off direction.- 1 reply

Gigatitan the giant wing clipper and anti flyer glider
Matteu posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Gigatitan In real life Gigatitan was a huge titanopteran insect that was related to modern grasshoppers. Its wingspan was around 40cm and it was so large that it was only capable of gliding. It was a predator with arms similar to a mantis. In ark Gigatitan will be the size of a wyvern although a similar size to a quetzal or rhynio could also work. It will be able to climb on cliffs and use that or its jump ability to lift off. It will have the following ablities Wing flap Once airborne gigatitan can occasionally flap its wings to increase speed and altitude/ Slash with its front legs it will slash the area perfect for doing precise dive bombing damage without getting to close to the ground Wing clipper while in flight it can capture other flyers and damage their wings. This will put the flyer into a glide mode where it will be forced to the ground and temporarily disabled. Perfect for gigatitan to catch up on its prey taming to tame them you will have to hold on to them with a grappling hook and target wild flyers that the gigatitan will attack (similar to how tamed animals attack a target) in this time you need to get it to kill as many as possible before it lands which it will after not having a target for a while. Breeding gigatitan laid its eggs inside of plants so in game you will have to put the eggs in a plant species or crop plant which it will destroy-

amphibian Prionosuchus - Ragnarok's water dragon!
Katanaa posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Ark desperately needs more amphibians, and what better than one of the biggest, if not the biggest amphibian of all time, Prionosuchus! ============================================== Abilities: It's main attack and ability is it can store and shoot water at incredibly long ranges, much like a sniper rifle made out of pressurized water within the Prionosuchus. Whenever its in water, it is able to store water by holding CTRL (or its console equivalent) and then prop itself above the surface to shoot it's stored water at foes using RMB. Whenever it hits a target, the target will become stunned and dismount the player, this becomes dangerous for players using a flyer above the water. This also deals high damage when fully charged, having a max of 120 damage dealt, this may also hit a player and not the creature itself. Additionally it shreds through armor like nothing. If it is pointed directly above water, it can fling itself out of the water, while its in the air you are able to do barrel rolls to boost your speed, but you have to fling yourself multiple times to get more barrel rolls for speed, the fastest it can become is 3x its normal swim speed. If it hits an enemy while doing a barrel roll, it can do damage to them, and the damage depends on how fast you are moving/the amount of barrel rolls. Barrel rolls are activated by pressing C (Or console equivalent) while flung. Pearl sniffing is one of its other abilities, when it is in the water you can press X (or the console equivalent) to sniff out silica and black pearls, if it has found either pearl, it will mark them with a green outline if its silica and a blue outline for black pearls, if you dismount this outline will stay for 10 seconds. Can passively detect danger nearby, almost like a glowpet. Full omnidirectional turning (like a Rhynio) when in water. Immunity to eel and jellyfish stings. (This art is done by ZCI5250) =============================================== Taming method: To tame a Prionosuchus you must have either Silica pearls or black pearls in your last inventory slot, this will make Prionosuchus approach you, when it has approached you, you can give it the silica/black pearl which boost its taming, however it will quickly dart away to the nearest body of water for 10 seconds. After it has finished darting away, it will approach you again. Repeat this process and you will have a Prionosuchus. =============================================== Extra information: Prionosuchus can be found in oceans, swamps, rivers, and caves with water. Saddle is unlocked at level 60 It's stats are similar to that of a Spino. ================================================ And thats all! Thank you for reading this and I hope you enjoy this submission.- 2 replies

aquatic Rhizodus - Monstrous fish of the shores
Katanaa posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Rhizodus was a massive fish from the carboniferous period, the era of large arthropods, it has been proposed rhizodus lunged at land-bound prey much like a modern crocodile. My idea of Rhizodus is for it to be an aquatic creature that can traverse across lands in bursts, and for it to be anti-flier and anti-arthropod (Including stuff like tusoteuthis). Its land crawling ability allows it to reach land based creatures and players, though its not very fast at all, however you can do a lunge out of the water to quickly snatch anything on land or in the sky. When it lunges at a player or creature it will grab them, of which they can be brought back into the water, it can grab creatures that are below-rex sized in terms of land creatures, and fliers it can grab up to Rhyniognatha, but quetzels and wyverns are excluded from this. Other aquatic creatures it can grab as well, plesiosaur size is its max in terms of grabbing. Thrashing is its special attack when it has grabbed something, causing a bone break debuff that increases the amount of damage the creature takes per thrash. (Base thrash does 60, next thrash will do 70, and then 80, etc for example). ============================ Arthropod predator makes it do 2X damage against arthropods and mollusks (tusoteuthis), along with its ability to grab fliers out of the sky makes it pretty well suited to counter against Rhyniognatha. Arthropod predator also has the added bonus of making it immune to resin. Ammonites cannot make creatures aggro onto Rhizodus. ============================= Tanky & high base attack are Rhizodus's strongest points in terms of stats, will health and melee stats higher than a rex, it makes it a dangerous foe to encounter be it the ocean, land or skies even. However it has poor stamina and speed. ============================= Immune to eel and jellyfish stuns, along with tuso grabs. This makes it an effective counter to eels, jellyfish and tusoteuthis along with basiliosaurus, which does make it good for underwater cave exploration. ============================= In terms of abilites thats it, but its saddle comes in handy in one way: Its saddle has various storage containers on it that reduce basilo oil, bio-toxin and prime fish spoil times (on top of other perishable ocean items). This makes it useful when you go gathering resources in the ocean that spoil. ============================= And finally, it's taming method. Its taming requires you to sacrifice Arthropods (or something like tusoteuthis) to it, with either Rhyniognatha or Tuso being the best creatures for taming it.- 3 replies
