Hmm. ok. In SP you do (at least I am). I did beat Beta Overseer the other day, and my character spawned on the beach with nothing just like a game start. (default spawn point, even though I did select one of my beds once I downloaded my character after the cutscene). I'm using ASM to run the server. Wondering if there is some setting there I missed regarding that behavior. 

Thanks! I did find the wiki page for that. looks like its "cheat playercommand Ascend1". I'll try that first and see what happens.  Note I did try to recover the islandbak and tribeback files (then rename them) but no luck there. 

EDIT:

It worked! I reloaded the save folder backup at entrance to TEK cave, ran the command, ascended, got the implant/levels/hairstyles. When I spawned my satchel was there with everything I had prior to going in.  Like a good non-cheater, I threw it all away as I "should" have lost it all anyway once I ascended. 😉

Title says it all. I finally beat the gamma overseer and ascended (after all these years) The cutscene played, I got the "download character" screen. Clicked one of my beds, and then my game crashed.

I am playing on a dedicated server running Ark Server Manager (on my LAN) When I tried to rejoin on my client rig, it said "Player already connected" I checked the server and indeed, it still showed one player in game. I stopped the server, restarted it, and when I joined, I only had the new player screen, NO download player available! OMG!!

I DID do a full backup of the server game BEFORE entering the TEK cave, and of course, I could just load that and do it again, but I REALLY don't want to. And I don't think it's fair since I DID beat it. (For the first time ever BTW, long story as to why after just surpassing 10,000 hours in this game, I JUST actually beat the overseer, but I digress)

Is there a way for me to load up the prior save game and, give myself the gamma ascension levels/completion/implant?)  I'm showing the achievement unlocked now (screen attached) as proof. I just need my player (with the ascension implant/levels) back., please, can anyone help me??  TIA

Island map, normal SP. I gave up and went back to running a dedicated server, for myself. And everything works as intended with those options checked on the server. There are a lot of problems (especially over time) when you play straight SP on the same computer. I think it has (in some part) something to do with game timers whereas you are constantly starting and stopping the game. I think it just gets hosed up after a while (like many weeks). Dinos not respawning is another one. Seems to be way worse on SP game vs server game. (as another example)

Both PVE mode and allow cave building ARE CHECKED in options. Verified here in the gamesettings.ini file (shown below)

So why can I not still place anything inside caves??

Thanks. I already knew that but did not elude to my knowledge of that aspect of ascension previously. But I certainly appreciate the clarification!

Thanks to all! (Belated) I had stepped away from gaming due to RL issues but am back.  I knew leveling would only happen once per ascension level, but am very glad to hear I can ascend three times in all. Once each for Gamma, Beta, Alpha, off Island map. Thanks again!

After much searching (here and the Wiki), I still cannot find an answer to this.

 Say I am on Island. I beat all bosses on GAMMA and ascend, can I go back TWICE and then beat all bosses on BETA and then ALPHA and ultimately ascend off Island three times? OR, Do you only get ONE SHOT at ascension off a map, so you better make sure it's ALPHA ascension (in order to maximize the level unlocks available) Thanks in advance.

I think The reason the map(s) don't change with the seasons anymore is it was only ever on Island, back when it was the only map. I completely understand, with all the work and all to add it to the others. I admit it would be somewhat of a stretch on scorched earth, but I digress.

It was really cool having "real" seasons on the map. I do know the first winter Wonderland caused many people to get mad even though they were warned for a month the weather was going to get colder and to make the appropriate arrangements.  It was quite refreshing to have another survival factor thrown into the mix every now and again.  Just like real life, the fall colors came out and then winter set in. It was cool (literally) heh.

Would love to order but ever since these were announced, I cannot complete the ordering process. It ALWAYS gets to the last page "saving creation" and then the page goes blank. I am using I.E. 11 (please lets leave browser wars out of this) and survivetheark.com is fully allowed on every browser setting I have.
