September 13th: TLM Cluster Extension -- Announcing OMEGA Ark Hey there, folks. This has been something of a background project for a bit, but we’re getting real close to going live… so, I’d like to present the cluster’s very first core-overhaul server set to launch within roughly a week’s time! TLM: Omega! It's recognized as "The MMO of Ark," and I think it's earned the title. Its content is designed with the model that there should always be something more to do: 300,000+ possible combinations of traits, abilities, and Dinos, as well as ARPG-style dynamic drops from defeating enemies, a fully-functional quest system, and nearly limitless potential for strategy from allowing players to imbue gear. You can modify and re-roll the effects of almost anything--Saddles, Armor, you name it--for bonus stat points and additional effects to cater specifically to your playstyle! The Mod also places massive emphasis on making player characters just as viable for a full playthrough as any Dino, and with enough creativity and the right gear rolls, you might be even stronger than any tame could ever be! With an even bigger emphasis on tackling big raid-battle baddies with your buddies, there ought to be something for everybody. It aims to provide the single most rewarding modded experience that Ark can offer, and we’re beyond thrilled to include it in our community! Please note that due to a drastically different XP curve and level cap, you'll need to create a new character on the Omega server once it goes live. You will not need to transfer your existing character from our main cluster! Please stay tuned for more details as we move closer to our expected launch date, Friday, September 22nd! September 1st: New Kits and New Colors! Starting after our next server restart... You may notice some colorful changes in chat and in Discord! There have been a few changes in roles: Ramshackle > Survivor Mastercraft > Alpha Journeyman > Beta Apprentice > Gamma "Survivors" (players who have linked their Ark character to Discord under ⁠server-links) will now sport a yellow name on Discord and in game "Alpha" donors will now have red in game/Discord names and a dragon trophy icon "Beta" donors will now have blue in game/Discord names and a megapithecus trophy icon "Gamma" donors will now have green in game/Discord names and a broodmother trophy icon All staff members will have cyan names in game and in Discord with custom icons Patreon Kits The Patreon kits have also been revamped! Don't forget to collect your new monthly kit featuring our favorite knock-you-off-your-mount dinos All donors will receive a breeding pair of TLM colored Microraptors, Beta will receive one fall-themed Thyla, and Alpha will get a fall-themed Thyla breeding pair You also have weekly coins to collect in ⁠server-links Shop News All other Starter and Survivor kits have been reset You will now get 7 Starter kits instead of 5 The shop will be updated soon with new kits for seeds and dyes for easier farming and art work--it's been a busy week, but it's happening soon! The shop icon (the buff in the lower right corner of your screen) will no longer appear on Progression Maps and will only appear on Hub Maps. You will still have access to the shop on all maps, but it will be a little less clutter on your screen Other Roles & Rewards Patreon folks aren't the only one getting spiffy chat colors--we have something in the works for people who complete maps too! Stay tuned! The day cycles on all maps have been reverted back to official settings Still being fixed! Give us one more day We're still working out the kinks to the Birthday Bot and Birthday kits! We do have a couple of you on standby for a birthday kit raincheck--we haven't forgotten! We are also working with a new hopefully non-awful decay plugin to automatically remove forgotten bases while awarding dedicated players with more decay time. It's still in the works, but we will keep you updated! Belated Congratulations Congratulations to... @misty, @Moonybliss, and @Tarl for defeating the Overseer on Alpha difficulty! They're on their way to sunny Scorched Earth! @Unga Bunga, @Borax, @Darg, @Grug, @PinkuNoZo, and @SpiderInAJar for defeating the Master Controller on Gamma difficulty! Now they're setting in to Genesis 2 for the final leg of their progression! And a special congratulations to @Saul Goodman! In addition to being an amazing admin on this cluster and a good friend to those who have gotten the chance to know him, he's also our very first player to defeat ALL alpha bosses, concluding with his victory over Master Controller earlier this week! He also reached the max player level--205--and won the Mjolnir hammer! He may be a little scarce these next couple of weeks as he moves out of state, so please send him well wishes! Map suggestions are open from now until Thursday, July 27th! Go to the ⁠new-map-suggestions and please read the pinned Discord post. Suggestions will be open until July 27th where you will be allowed to vote on THREE of your favorite maps. On July 28th, the top three most popular maps will make it to the final round of voting. From July 28th to July 31st, you will vote cast ONE vote for the final round. By August 2nd, we should have the new map up and ready to explore!
