  1. I've been trying to figure out if/how I can keep random strangers from joining mine and my friends Non-dedicated server on Xbox as well as if there's anything I can do to increase the host tether distance? If anyone has any info, that would be appreciated as I received no answers from Ark support on this. Also, I am not able to play on PC. Below is a list of things I tried and that have failed: 1. I am not given a host tether slider in world settings, that is only for PC players. 2. Dedicated servers or Private Matches do not allow my friends to join the server even when invited. 3. Setting a server password also does not work as ASE will not ask my friends to enter said password when they try to join. 4. I have gone into my Xbox privacy settings and set everything I could to just friends. This does not keep my server from showing up to strangers in the server list. 5. I selected Hide Server Info in my game options panel just to see if this did anything. As far as I can tell, it does not since randos have still been able to get in.
  2. Been playing a lot of Ark Survival Evolved on Xbox which has a lot of server issues with host tethering as well as NO solution for keeping unwanted strangers from joining your server. I am not able to play on PC as my computer can NOT handle it. I was wondering if anyone knew if these issues have been solved/improved upon in Ark Ascended?
  3. Ark support redirected me to here for this so I am. Despite how ridiculous it is. I'm just going to paste my grievances from my ticket that they refused to address as well as labeling them as bugs when they're actually features that I'm not able to access on console: Questions related to playing console non-dedicated sessions: 1. Why am I unable to adjust the host tethering distance on a console and are there currently development plans to implement this feature (that PC players already have) soon? It is very frustrating that I can only go a certain default distance from the host (which isn't far) until I am pulled back and away from what I was doing. This seems like something that should've been addressed given how long the game has been out/being patched. 2. Why can I not allow friends onto my non-dedicated session without also opening up my server to random strangers online and are there currently development plans to solve this soon? I do not want random people in my game who could potentially ruin things I/my friends have built and tamed. Private match does not work and does not give the others an option to enter a password even though I had set one and a dedicated session will not allow them in either. I have even gone into my xbox privacy settings and set everything to just friends and that also did not keep random people from finding and joining my server. Again, this seems like something that should have been solved way before now. If you are experiencing the same, I encourage you to comment SOMETHING to get the devs to actually look at this.
