You should be able to use TEK gear on any map besides Gen1. Try unequipping then re-equipping your gear, or change the order you equip it in if you have other TEK gear on.

Gen2's release has been pushed to February of this year. This was announced on Studio Wildcard's Community Crunch from around a month or so ago. Gen1 was already released on Switch at the end of June 2023, so you should have access to that!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly! Winter Wonderland will be making a triumphant return with new presents and goodies for ARK survivors. The epic winter-themed holiday event begins on Thursday, December 14th and will last until Friday, January 5th. RaptorClaus will be sailing across the star-filled night sky in his sleigh, dropping off presents filled with high-end loot as well as Mistletoe, and Coal for those naughty Survivors. You'll be able to catch RaptorClaus flying across the skies at midnight (game time) on all maps. GachaClaus is also making a triumphant return to help RaptorClaus spread the holiday cheer! GachaClaus will be roaming all maps looking for eager recipients while sporting holiday-themed colors. We recently released a patch but it did not include Gen2. That map is not out yet, but we hope to release it later this Fall.

There is no local play available for ARK Switch. You can play on a non-dedicated session to play privately between you two, but two Switches are required for play.

We do not have release dates for those maps yet, but we will announce those on our socials when the time comes!
