  1. Name: sollersaurus Name meaning: dexterous lizard Diet: omnivorous Temperament: neutral or aggressive Dossier: Wild: Found in the higher and more empty regions of the fertile zone, sollersaurus is a bizarre creature to say the least having attributes that make this beast feel right at home in this twisted ark having a build well suited for taking damage and scaling the maps caverns aswell as having a frill on its head and stripes and spots along its body which can change colour if they are happy / satisfied or threatened / aggressive. Sollersaurus is commonly spotted in the wild alone but can also be seen in small groups with the largest group I’ve discovered having four members. the animal can eat crops but prefers high quality meats such as mutton or prime eat or it’s favourite kibble. The sollersaurus seems to have a rivalry with the ravagers also found throughout the fertile region as conflicts between the two species is quite common. Tamed: As a creature sitting comfortably at the high end of the middle of the food chain, sollersaurus is a great mount for survivors wanting to traverse the carverns walls easier, is great for defence and offence and surprisingly makes a pretty good companion. Abilities: Ability 1 - “climbing” Press the jump button when next to a cliff side or natural wall to begin scaling it, the sollersaurus uses its powerful arms and legs to haul itself and its rider up until they reach the top or run out of stamina. To keep sollersaurus from tiring out while climbing you can increase a new stat unique to the creature called core strength, levelling this stat will increase its speed when climbing till its climb speed is 65% of a rock drakes and can also decrease the amount of damage the animal takes by giving it up to 20 base armour. *imprinting does stack with this* ^ Ability 2 - “intimidation” when confronted with an enemy creature press down on the right joystick (if your on console) to open your frill and roar which will scare off creatures not bold enough to take you on (scares away carnivores up to the size of raptors with one roar except ravagers) you can stack this ability with up to 3 sollersaurus’ to scare off any creature other than spinos, reapers, karkinos, rock drakes and certain water creatures with this effect lasting 15 seconds. When intimidating a foe, your sollersaurus’ frill has glow spots on its frill and body which can shine an aggressive red colour. This ability has a cool down of 3 minutes when alone and can be reduced to a maximum of 1 minute when accompanied by two or more sollersaurus’. Ability 3 - “stance switch” press LT (again if your on console) to swap between being quadrupedal and bipedal with bipedal mode also being able to work with the intimidation ability, while bipedal you can swing your forearms to cause bleed damage by pressing RT (console AGAIN) but you are 40% as fast than you would be in quadrupedal mode. If you are bipedal and hit a rock you can gather stone, flint and small amounts of metal but this does take a larger chunk of stamina than attacking a creature (you can increase how much resources you get from hitting a rock similar to Ankys and doeds), when quadrupedal you can bite creatures and players by also pressing RT, you are also faster in this stance. Taming: *you will need to be in a heightened man made structure so the sollersaurus can’t attack you* To tame a sollersaurus you need to let it trust you and show it you can be companions, this is achieved by isolating a sollersaurus and dropping food for it to munch on with it requiring foods such as raw mutton, raw prime meat, rockarrot, savoroot, long rads and citronal aswell as regular kibble (the different foods give varying taming effectiveness with the crops giving the least and kibble giving the most) . after feeding the animal up to 50% taming it will allow you to get close to it from there you can stroke the frill which is timed so you’d have to perform the action in enough time, failing to do so will reduce taming progress and the creature will attack you, you’ll know if you’ve completed the ask as the taming bar will go up and the frill will open and glow a docile green colour. From the you’d continue the process until it is tamed. The sollersaurus saddle unlocks at level 40 and costs fibre, hide, fungal wood and metal to craft and can be crafted in a smithy. More information: The default survivor height is roughly around the same height as the sollersaurus’ shoulder. Sollersaurus can have different coloured frills with only the bioluminescent dots on its frill and tail going from green to red depending on if it’s fighting or not.
