  4. Ark Cenozoic is a luscious but dangerous expansion with many dangerous creatures and environments. There is something different about this ark however, that is the absence of dinosaurs and the surge of large megafauna of the Cenozoic time period. Explore the vast lands of the Cenozoic containing many different biomes from the lush jungles to the freezing tundra, tackle Cenozoic creatures some familiar and some new, challenge mother nature's wrath, but most importantly reach ascension by defeating the elder guardians of these treacherous lands. Map Wide Events: Revamps of old weather events: Electrical Storm: whole map is engulfed with rain, lightning and dark clouds flyers fly 10% slower lightning volleys strike regularly throughout the map lightning strikes deal a lot of damage and set targets on fire lightning damage is increased following things are disabled: guns turrets tek generators most machinery powers wind turbines faster lasts 1 in game day cycle Cold Snap: most of the map gets covered in snow and ice all lakes, rivers, and water sources freeze only non-frozen water available is the ocean temperatures drop below zero blizzards slightly blind things caught in it tundra creatures begin spawning throughout the map outback and desert become unchanged outback lake is the only lake that remains unfrozen caves are areas not affected following things are disabled: hatching eggs growing crops irrigation breeding buffs creatures certain creatures lasts 1-2 in game day cycles Heatwave: all water sources dry up making lakes and rivers recede temperature increases significantly sandstorms become frequent in desert and outback ocean is unaffected tundra biome recedes desert creatures begin spawning throughout the map but only in the non-tundra regions caves are areas not affected following things are disabled: refrigeration/preserving growing crops buffs certain creatures lasts 1-2 in game day cycles New world events: Locust Invasion: locusts swarm the lands like a living sandstorm anything caught in present swarms will be slowed and have their stamina and health slowly drained dead bodies and death drops decompose at an exponentially high rate following things are disabled: growing crops natural tree regrowth +lessens creature spawns Megatherium are permanently raged lasts 1 in game day cycle Flash Flood: entirety of the map is mostly flooded with water everything sunken or partially flooded caves are fully flooded water creatures begin spawning throughout the map areas of high elevation are safe does not affect structures lasts around 2-3 in game day cycles
