  1. DO NOT LOSE HOPE MY BROTHERS. LOBSTER CAN STILL BE SERVED TONIGHT. ONLY THROUGH UNITY SHALL LOBSTER PREVAIL, STAY STRONG MY BROTHERS. FOR THE REPUBLICCCCCC
  2. Common name: Big Heads Species name: Formicium Acronum Time: Unknown Diet: Omnivorous Temperament: Aggressive Wild: The concept of Formicium Acronum is quite terrifying. It wields massive mandibles perfectly designed for shredding into unsuspecting prey. They’ve shown to have a special taste for the flesh of mammals, and with its climbing capabilities… You should be careful not to get too close. Tamed: Once tamed, Formicium Acronum proves to be an incredibly versatile mount. The Big Heads strength is unmatched. Although it may sound surprising, it's frequently used in farming! Its ability to pick up and move large dinosaurs makes it an invaluable herder. Although it is most commonly used in agriculture, do not mistake it for a coward. Its attacks are hasteful and relentless and when in a pack they quickly become overwhelming to even the strongest of beasts if not disposed of quickly, and their armor makes that all the more difficult. Taming: Taming a is quite freaky. The player must kill all but one of the giant ants in a pack and then passively feed the last remaining giant ant Rare Mushrooms. Once the ant is fully tamed it will have been fully taken over by the mushrooms and it will follow your commands. Behavior: In the wild, Formicium Acronum can be found in groups killing things in the Fertile region of the map. Attacks: The primary attack is a fast bite attack. Secondary attack is a “shred” attack. While holding the button which is assigned to the secondary attack the Big Heads movement speed is slowed and it deals a continuous flow of damage to those it makes contact with. This shred attack also deals an armor piercing effect where the more the target is hit by the shred attack the more the target's armor is neutralized (similar to amargasaurus’s armor piercing spike). The third attack is a grab. This grab can pick players off of mounts and pick up dinos up to the weight class of Direbears. The Big Head can damage the picked up creature using the primary or secondary attack mentioned above. The fourth attack would be a projectile attack. The ant shoots a blob of goo from its gaster (behind) which will act as a tracking beacon. Whatever the goo hits its exact coordinates will be shown on screen to the player for 5 minutes or until the player places a new tracking beacon, or the dino/survivor is uploaded/cryopodded. Abilities: Insects Vengeance: After successfully killing a mammal, including survivors, Big heads receive a melee damage increase for a period of time. Harvesting: Big heads would be very good at harvesting resources such as clay, sand, mushrooms and fungal wood. They also have a pack bonus.
  3. Common Name: Shantungosaurus Scientific Name: Shantungosaurus Giganteus Time Period: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Neutral Wild: A living fortress. We’ve yet to find anything strong enough to effectively harm the giant. While it normally shows no notice to those around it, don’t be fooled. It is unlike anything we’ve ever encountered before. Earlier today I observed a pack of Allosaurus attempting to kill a lone Shantungosaurus only for them to be slaughtered like sheep in a slaughterhouse. I was greatly surprised when the alpha of the Allosaurus pack did its usual gnashing bite, only for it to have almost zero effect on the Shantungosaurus. Taming: Upon further research of Shantungosaurus, we’ve discovered the only way to domesticate it is to show dominance. After shooting it in the head to around half health, it will become passive and ready to feed in a similar way to Lystrosaurus. Domesticated: A domesticated Shantungosaurus is a sight to behold. It looms over all that dare oppose it and rightly so. We’ve designed a saddle for it that has built in metal spikes. We’ve managed to attach spiked mats to its saddle so anything that dares attack it will be severely injured for doing so. After intensive testing we've come to realize that in combat it is immune to being bled out, which is another great ability for combat. Come to think of it, that is probably why it showed immunity to the alpha Allosaurus’s gnashing bite, more research will be needed to confirm this theory. Important information: Shantungosaurus has two modes. It can switch between these modes using the C key on the keyboard. These modes are named “Bastion mode” and “Mobile mode”. When wearing a saddle if something deals a physical attack to Shantungosaurus the attacker will receive damage similar to how Kentrosaurus works. The attacker is NOT damaged if it doesn't use a melee attack. An example would be wyvern breath attacks. If a wyvern were to hit Shantungosaurus with a breath attack the wyvern would not be damaged. If a Gigantosaurus were to bite a saddled Shantungosaurus the Gigantosaurus would receive damage. Mobile mode: while in mobility mode, as the name suggests it is able to move at its regular speed but does not possess any of the buffs and bonuses of Bastion mode. Bastion mode: While in Bastion mode, Shantungosaurus gets a healthy range of bonuses. For one, it is immune to bleed and gnashing abilities, and its healing rate is increased by 50%. The only downside is that in Bastion mode its movement speed is decreased by 80%. With Saddle Without Saddle Why add this to the ark? Great question! I wanted to create something original that we’ve never seen before and that could have some usage, and what's more original AND useful than a giant living barricade?
