  1. Time period: Late Permian Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild: There I was observing a wild Pack of Ravagers, chasing down a wild Moschops through the mushroom forest, when suddenly the ground started Shaking beneath me! Originally I thought it was just another earthquake. That was until the ground rose. and started walking? Little did I know I was standing on the back of a Scutosaurus! I thought I was just standing on regular ground, With mushrooms at my feet but it turns out it was a living creature all along. after observing the Scutosaurus for a while, I noticed how it casually approached a wild pack of raptors. Without fear or concern for their safety. It seemed to be doing this with the intention of feeding on the plump mushrooms growing near them. And to my surprise the raptors payed no mind or concern to the Scutosaurus. tamed: after more observation, I learned that the reason behind Scutosaurus being able to approach predators without fear is not because of its size or strength. But from its scent! The Fungi and the flowers growing on the Scutosaurus seems to be a turnoff for most predators, “masking” the scent of Scutosaurus as it lumbers through the mushroom forest casully chowing down on plants and fungi. If you could tame this creature. Perhaps you could use the scent and plants of Scutosaurus to your advantage? That is a very rough version of the Scutosaurus Dosseir, now let’s get into more detail about the mechanics of this creature. How to tame! the Scutosaurus will Sleep underground for the vast majority of its time, with only its arched back poking out. It will only emerge when attacked by a player or during an Earthquake. When the Scutosaurus is underground, you must pick the plump mushrooms growing from its back. once the Scutosaurus is awake, it will walk around like any other creature. It is passively tamed with plump mushrooms. The Scutosaurus cannot bury itself underground when standing on roofs and foundations, so it’s recommended to lure any wild Scutosaurus you want to tame into a trap so it can’t bury itself. Masking scent! The Scutosaurus has numerous amounts of plants and fungi growing on its body. This is a symbiotic relationship that Scutosaurus holds with these Plants. The plants provide a unique scent that is a turnoff to predators roughly the size of a Carnotaurus and smaller, this scent will not detour large beast like Spinosaurus or Tyrannosaurus. Meanwhile, the plants receive protection from the Scutosaurus and the fungi are able to spread their spores all over the place. this scent can be used to the players advantage if you tame one, wild predators will not notice you so long as you are in the vicinity of the Scutosaurus, this “scent range” can be increased in the radial wheel. but these predators Will still attack you if you get to close (similar to cactus broth). and as stated before. Wild creatures will not attack Scutosaurus either (unless if they are the size of a rex or spino) A Walking garden! once tamed, the Scutosaurus can be used as a sentient crop plot, with different seeds capable of being planted on its damp moss growing on its back. Wild Scutosaurus will have 1 type plant growing on its back, Plump mushrooms, These mushrooms glow and are used as taming food for the Scutosaurus. To harvest these mushrooms, you must pluck them from the Scutosaurus back while it is Undground. once tamed These mushrooms keep growing back and can be continuously harvested to tame more Scutosaurus. The Scutosaurus can have a max of three different plants farmed on its back, (excluding the plump mushrooms) Thanks to the Scutosaurus having a close relationship with plants. Its poop is one of the best fertilisers in the game, and it has strange healing properties, capable of healing the player like a healing tonic would. Burrowing: the Scutosaurus can bury underground. Wild Scutosaurus will stay underground, only emerging during an earthquake. Tamed Scutosaurus can be manually instructed to hide underground similar to basilisk or purlovia and they will become invisible to all wild Dino’s, while still giving of their masking scent buff to players.
  2. The Dracorex is a new Creature to be introduced in Ark Survival Ascended. This Creature is roughly the size of a Utahraptor and has unique skills and abilities unlike anything you’ve seen before, I have decided on the Dracorex as my Creature submission to add some more variety among the Dinos. We have only the 1 Pachycepholosaurid in ark and it’s pretty.. lacklustre, This new Beast and its taming method and abilities are in my opinion some of the Strangest and coolest that there is! Additionally, The Dracorex’s name means “Dragon king” what better nickname for a creature introduced in a fantasy map? Habitat: The Dracorex Can be found Both in and outside The Dragon Trench on Ragnarok, Either inside the trench itself, or around the outer area of the Dragon trench often appearing in pairs or by themselves. Diet: These Beast are Herbivores munching on any berrys and seeds. Temperament: Docile, they’ll chill out with you and won’t attack, unless provoked by attacking them, their friends or by stealing their eggs. Taming method: this is where the fun begins, and where the name, “Dragon king” starts to shine, to tame a Dracorex first you must find and isolate one from any other nearby Dracorex. Then. You must drop a Wyvern egg of any of the 4 Core elements Fire, Lightning, Poison, ice, The Dracorex will then Smash open the egg by ramming into it, Destroying the egg and absorbing the element of the dragon egg through its many horns on its face. The higher level the Egg is your Dracorex smashes the Higher its Taming bar will rise. Taming effectiveness is determined by how much Damage Your Dracorex has sustained, so keep it safe! Depending on what type of eggs you let it smash. and how many of them for example 6 poison Eggs and 2 fire eggs then your Dracorex will gain the “Poison Element” and Become a “Poison Dracorex”. With the powers of a poison Wyvern, it can blast Poison clouds from its horns. With the powers of a fire Wyvern, it basically becomes a living Flamethrower, with the powers of an Ice Wyvern it can Freeze Oppenents with a steam of cold air from its nostrils. And With the powers of a lightning Wyvern can shoot a stream of lighting from its horns. the basic idea of the Dracorex (Dragon king) is that it can basically mimic the powers of the dragons, but in a smaller and more compact body, making this Dino Really useful for base defence and cave Exploration and once tamed, you can let it smash any more Wyvern eggs by enabling “Egg smashing” in the Behaviour section, where it will smash any Wyvern egg in a nearby radius. Upon smashing say, 3 eggs of any element of your choosing it will change the Dracorexs element to match the eggs it has smashed, so your not locked into any 1 element once tamed. in terms of speed, the Dracorex can run roughly as fast as a Smilodon or Raptor, building up speed as it sprints, stamina barely drains as it sprints too, so it can easily go long Distances. Once you’ve reached top speed, you can use the Primary attack button to instantly destroy all obstacles in your path, Trees boulders you name it. The Dracorex is also able to use this Headbutt to deal major damage to Structures, it Can Damage up to metal grade, through it admittedly won’t take too much health out of metal structures. But anything Stone grade or below and your in for a bad (or good) time due to the Dracorex’s status of “Dragon king” it takes Half the amount of damage from All Wyvern/dragon attacks. (Including the Dragon boss) additionaly, when riding the Dracorex all wild Wyverns will ignore you unless provoked. The Dracorex also does Double Damage to all Wyverns, Rex’’s, Gigas and Charcaradontosaurus to solidify its place as “King” And you can ride around on the Dracorex without the need for a saddle. But you can Craft “Dracorex armour” from Wyvern bones. Which can be Harvested from dead wyverns. This Armour is bone Like in Appearance and Reduces all Damage from all creatures and players. but like Player Armour it has Durabilty and will need to be fixed with more dragon bones once Damaged or broken. The Dracorex also comes with “Recoil” effect, Similar to Kentrosaurus, where attacking it from the front will cause the spikes on its face to damage all those who make contact. Baby Dracorex will have the same element as their parents. If you breed a lighting Dracorex and a fire Dracorex, you’ll get a Fire/Lighting Dracorex. Which has both the powers of a Fire and Lighting Dracorex. With you being able to choose which elements you want to use while in the Radial Wheel either while riding the Dracorex or when just opening the Radial wheel when standing next to the Dracorex and looking at it. Please Consider this Herbivorous Powehouse to be added to ARK! We need more strong Herbivores and I think the Dracorex is Perfect for the job
