NOTHOSAURUS - THE SKILLED FISHER WILD: Nothosaurus is a Neutral Land And Sea Predator. it mostly preys on fish, but can also attack small land animals like Dodo, Lystrosaurus and will even jump up and eat Ichthyornis in the air. It Wont attack humans on land, but will attack them in the water, unless the human has consumed Lazarus Chowder. it often lives alone but can be spotted in groups of two, These Groups are called a pair and always consists of a male and female, and if youre lucky, a baby. it lives by big rocks on the beach and can be caught fishing by the shore. They commonly spawn near basilosaurus corpses and by the waterfall of the ancients TAMING: After you have consumed Lazarus Chowder you can passive tame them by giving them fish. They like Exceptional Kibble the most, then raw prime fish meat, Fish meat, Cooked prime fish meat and Cooked fish meat. But be careful, because if you start taming a Nothosaurus that lives in a group, the Nothosaurus you are taming will lose taming and taming effectivness 7.5x faster, The only way to stop that is by starting to tame both Nothosaurus or to lure away the other and kill it, Baby nothosaurus does not count as a nothosaurus in this case and is therefor untamable. DOMESTICATED: Tamed Nothosaurus eat fish meat of all kind. Tamed Nothosaurus have a Primary bite attack and a secondary carry attack that pickups small cretures and even wild fish. the fishes you can pickup is wild sabertooth salmon, Wild Piranhas and wild Coelacanth. if the nothosaurus is in water with fish in its jaw, the fish can fight back (if not Coelacanth) but if you go on land the fish cant attack you and after 10 seconds will start to lose health (2.5 health per second). The Nothosaurus third attack is a Dive. if in water, it will launch the nothosaurus forward for a short time. if a fish (or manta) is infront the nothosaurus during the launch, it will be dealt double the damage of the primary attack and pickup the fish (or manta), dead or alive. if you do the dive on land, it will just launch the nothosaurus forward a short lenght, it will still pickup cretures infront of the nothosaurus, but only do half the damage of the primary attack. Everytime the Nothosaurus kills a fish with the dive, it will grant the nothosaurus chitin. Coelacanth=1x Chitin, Piranha=2x Chitin and Salmon=3x Chitin. The Manta doesnt grant chitin but it grants keratin, so when you kill a manta with the dive, it gives you 2x pieces of keratin. You can fish with a fishing rod from the back of a nothosaurus. the nothosaurus Cant breathe underwater but has a enormus oxygen stat. SADDLE: The Nothosaurus saddle (at default) has 25.0 armor. it is crafted with: 300x Hide, 100x Cementing Paste or Achatina Paste, 100x Metal Ingot or Scrap Metal, 250x Wood and 300x Fiber in the smithy. it is unlocked at level 40. The Nothosaurus saddle Works as a Beer Barrel. The Nothosaurus can be riden without the saddle. the Saddle would fit neatly on the nothosaurus like a thylacaleo saddle, but it would have a small beer barrel behind the Player seat straped with many leather strips. HISTORY: Nothosaurus was a semi-oceanic animal which probably had a lifestyle similar to that of today's seals. It was about 4 metres (13 ft), with long, webbed toes and possibly a fin on its tail. However, some species such as N. zhangi and N. giganteus were larger, up to 5–7 metres (16–23 ft). When swimming, Nothosaurus would use its tail, legs, and webbed feet to propel and steer it through the water. The skull was broad and flat, with long jaws, lined with needle teeth, it probably caught fish and other marine creatures. The Nothosaurus is an extinct genus of sauropterygian reptile from the Triassic period, approximately 240–210 million years ago, with fossils being distributed from North Africa and Europe to China. It is the best known member of the nothosaur order. Nothosaurus means False Lizard.
