  1. (art found on the wikipedia page) Species - Cryodrakon boreas Time Period - Late Cretaceous Diet - Carnivore Temperament - Aggressive Wild Cryodrakon can commonly be found walking or flying along the icy shores of the Center. Unlike its relative, the Quetzalcoatlus, this large azhdarchid does hunt other creatures, using its spear-like beak to pierce fish and smaller prey alike (including humans). However, when faced with larger terrestrial creatures, this behemoth of a azhdarchid opts out of attacking them. Instead, their size acts as a way to intimidate other potential predators from attacking it. It does seem to become more aggressive towards avian targets, however... Domesticated Very few tribes have managed to subdue a Cryodrakon. Those who have utilize a special sac found on their neck to shoot icy projectiles at opponents, slowing them down and rendering many unconscious. Some also utilize its aggression towards other avians to dominate the skies. Potential Abilities and Features - While lacking the weight and stamina of the Quetzalcoatlus, it makes up for it by being stronger and moving swifter. - Utilizing a sac on the underside of the neck, it is capable of shooting icy spit at foes, slowing them down and causing torpor to build up (inspired by Garuga's Cryolophosaurus). - It is not capable of picking up creatures. - It deals increased damage to any creature classified as a "flyer" in-game. This includes pterosaurs, wyverns, birds, and other flying creatures. Potential Controls Left-Click - The Cryodrakon will peck at foes, dealing a debuff that slows avian creatures down significantly and causes them to bleed. Right-Click - The Cryodrakon will spit ice at opponents, causing them to slow down. It also inflicts a good amount of torpor. C - The Cryodrakon will suction water into its body from any body of water, allowing the rider to use the right-click attack. Control - The Cryodrakon will do a bellow, similar to the Quetzalcoatlus. X - The Cryodrakon will do a barrel-roll, which works in a similar fashion to the Pteranodon's barrel roll. Taming Method - To tame the Cryodrakon, the survivor must first use a chain bola to immobilize it. During this time, it is recommended to create a trap around the Cryodrakon to make the next step easier. - After immobilizing it, the survivor must directly feed narcoberries, narcotic, or bio-toxin to the Cryodrakon. - After feeding it enough times, the Cryodrakon will be knocked out, allowing you to tame it normally. Saddle - The saddle is learned at Level 76, the same level as the Quetzalcoatlus' saddle. - It requires the same ingredients as the Quetzalcoatlus' saddle as well, albeit in increased amounts: - 850 Hide - 750 Fiber - 150 Cementing Paste - 100 Silica Pearls
  2. Common Name - Appalachiosaurus Species - Appalachiosaurus montgomeriensis Time Period - Late Cretaceous Diet - Carnivore Temperament - Neutral In the Wild The Appalachiosaurus is a large eotyrannosaurian found in the Molten Element Region and the bottom of the Rock Drake Trench. Due to the extreme danger these areas harbour, this creature has evolved to deal with those threats. It has an interesting adaptation, which allows it to emit a slight glow in a similar manner to a light pet. Despite its rather large size and intimidating demeanor, the Appalachio is not aggressive to creatures that are not Rock Drakes, Reapers, and Nameless. Taming To tame the Appalachiosaurus, you must wait until one approaches the player. This happens randomly, but can occur artificially with the help of reaper pheromones. Do beware, however, as consuming one may instead enrage the Appalachio. Once approached, it will prompt you to drop nameless venom on the ground, followed by a rock drake feather and finally a reaper pheromone gland. It will then begin to trust the player, allowing you to passively feed it meat. It might be a better option, however, to feed it rock drake eggs. Domesticated The saddle for the Appalachiosaurus is unlocked at Level 80, which is equipped with a light generator for keeping the Nameless at bay (it does not have the ability to scare away Nameless with its natural light, instead it only weakens them). The saddle does require charging to continue to keep the light on, which can be charged though charging stations or charge batteries. They also can be force-fed reaper pheromone glands, which will induce the Appalachio Bloodlust buff, giving it a 15% damage increase and 10% damage reduction for two minutes. One could continue to feed it reaper glands to lengthen the effect, but using enough may cause the Appalachiosaurus to rage, so use with caution. After the Appalachio Bloodlust buff expires, it enters a burnout state for two minutes, which lowers damage and damage reduction. Abilities Left Click - Bite, which will apply a debuff to Rock Drakes that weakens them, as well as dealing extra damage to them. Right Click - Skull Bash, which has high knockback and deals extra damage to Nameless and Reapers. Control - Cosmetic Roar C - Stomp, which does more damage to creatures with smaller drag weights. X - Toggles the Light Generator on the Saddle R - Automatically consumes reaper pheromones in the inventory, applying the rage debuff to itself.
