  1. This creature, the Cretoprocirrus, is my suggestion for Aberration. Me and a friend have been working on this concept, and we hope that it does well in the voting. Cretoprocirrus is an extinct rove beetle that evolved during the late cretaceous and was in existence for millions of years during and after that time. Modern day Rove Beetles are able to expel a harmful gas at any possible predators or prey, and it is assumed that the Cretoprocirrus could do the same. Also, scientific studies have shown that the mandibles of some of these prehistoric beetles were lined with zinc and other metals. In Ark, the mutation from the element would have taken these abilities to the extreme. Our concept is that this insect could be used for traversing aberration, stealing rock drake eggs more easily, and possibly even having a support role when fighting bosses. Also, while almost all biomes on Aberration have certain species native to them, the only thing unique to the surface is a few variants of reapers. The Cretoprocirrus would spawn almost exclusively on the surface, making it one of the first creatures to do so. The traits and appearance of this beetle will make it a good fit for Ark Aberration. This Species would move slightly faster then a player, be slightly larger then a Carno(around 12 meters or 40 feet). The glowing blood and gas that it has inside of it would make its veins glow with a bright color (Red, Blue, Green, or Purple) Other then this, this creature would be mostly black with a shiny shell and little color variation between color regions, although it would still have some. It would also have a very small turning radius. Dossier- Species: Cretoprocirrus Venenemfumi Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivorous Temperament: Opportunistic Wild Once dotting the swamps on the surface of Aberration, the Cretoprocirrus Veneneumfumi has since retreated to the smaller caves on the surface after this Ark's collapse. What was once already a human-sized beetle has grown far larger then it should have been capable of, and it has become an elusive but deadly predator on the desolate surface. While it hides out of sight all day because of the scorching heat and radiation, this insect emerges at night to scavenge and hunt injured prey. Like modern day Rove Beetles, the Cretoprocirrus is able to expel a dangerous gas from its abdomen to aid in combat. There are multiple effects of this gas, all depending on the type of creature that the beetle has eaten beforehand. Perhaps even more dangerous than this is that its element-infused mandibles are able destroy all but the strongest of structures and can cause bleeding and diseases. However, the thing I find most interesting about this bug is its lifecycle. While being an extremely rare sight, some survivors have reported seeing adult Cretoprocirrus raid Rock Drake nests and carry their young to the eggs, which the larva will then burrow into and feed on the nutrients inside. Unfortunate people have tried to hatch these eggs and find a smaller version of this sinister threat inside. Once escaping the egg, the beetle then moves to the surface where it begins the rest of it's life. Domesticated While it could be tamed, domesticating a Cretoprocirrus is a dangerous and possibly lethal challenge. The first part of this task is to make it to the surface and a Cretoprocirrus, which is a difficult thing to do on its own. Next, this beast must be forced to panic before it attacks you. As this beetle is terrified of the light due to it living on the surface, seeds from a rare plant that emit light work very effectively. Once weakened, the insect must be fought. They must be damaged to a very specific level of health, so the attempts at using extremely powerful creatures will almost always end in the Cretoprocirrus being to critically injured or dead. Due to this, it is recommended, although dangerous, to fight it on foot. Be careful not to let it attack you because it could cause major damage, as well as helping it regain health faster. Once tamed, this amazing bug is capable of impressive feats. First of all, it's able to use different types of gas that is converted from the type of blood of the creatures it eats. For example, creatures with normal blood help the Cretoprocirrus shoot clouds of healing gas that regenerate wounds on both other creatures and itself. Species with highly acidic blood, like insects, reapers, and other animals, will allow it to expel an acidic spray that can do a lot of damage, to both creatures and structures. There are many abilities the beetle can gain, and that combined with the fact that it can store all gas types at once makes the possibilities endless! In addition to its gas, the Cretoprocirrus can bite through nearly any building, and it can cut through any material with decent efficiency thanks to its Element-infused jaws. Finally, due to maturing inside of a Rock Drake egg, this bug is even able to see through camouflage. These traits make the risk of venturing to tame a Cretoprocirrus well worth the reward. So overall, this beetle would have several unique abilities. Its Bite can harvest all materials with an efficiency about twice as good as a pick, hatchet, or sickle. It can see through camouflaged creatures, making stealing rock drake eggs much easier. It also has multiple gas abilities based on the blood of the creatures it eats, as shown below. Red/Normal-Healing clouds shot from the beetle's mouth that heal all allied tames and players in the cloud by 1% of max health per second. The cloud lasts for 1 minute and has a 2 minute cooldown. The cloud has a large radius and Costs 20% Blood. Green/Acidic-Acidic spray shot from its abdomen that does damage to creatures and buildings that scales with melee damage. Lasts for 15 seconds and has a thirty second cooldown. It also slows creatures down to about half their speed. Costs 10% Blood. Blue-this type of blood activates the gas sprayers in the legs of the beetle, allowing it to rocket into the air and glide down slightly faster then a parachute by using its wings. This creature cannot fly, as to fit with the theme of the map, so my explanation for this is that its body is too heavy for its wings to carry due to element mutation. Has a thirty second cooldown. Costs 12.5% blood. Element-Infused-This type of blood only comes from creatures, or the boss itself in the Rockwell arena during the boss fight, but if the Cretoprocirrus gets a few hits in, it can become twice as power(multiplies all stats by 2) as long as it has some of this blood in it. This constantly drains, but damaging or killing more creature in the arena replenishes it. Costs .5% blood per second. These four abilities can all be stored in the creature at once, and can all be used by switching to them in a new icon on the HUD. This icon will show the percentage of blood storage the beetle has full. Creatures damaged will increase the respective blood types by about .2%-1% per hit depending on size, and creatures killed will increase it by about 1%-5% depending on size. In Addition to these abilities, the normal bite attack costs a bleed that lasts for 5 seconds and drains 1% health per second. Does not work on alphas or bosses for balancing reasons. If used on players, it has a 25% chance of inflicting mega rabies. However, this creature is not breedable. The Cretoprocirrus can also climb walls, although not quickly and it comes at a cost of stamina. Plant Species Z fruit will cause wild Cretoprocirrus to panic and run away. Wild Cretoprocirrus usually spawn in by themselves, but can rarely spawn in groups of two or three on the surface. They drop raw meat, raw prime meat, hide, and a very large amount of chitin. One final ability this creature has is a 50% weight reduction on all meat types and hide. The saddle would be unlocked in the mid 60's to 70's levels and can hold one player. However, the player is able to use tools and weapons when on the saddle. The saddle would be metallic (not tek) and not hide like most saddles in the game. These insects cannot be carried and are only affected by chain bolas and large bear traps. Finally, instead of Rock Drakes, Wild young Cretoprocirrus can emerge instead when the eggs are hatched. They are extremly fast and aggressive, but only about as strong as a raptor. These are untamable, and their chances of hatching instead of a drake are only about 10%. Stats- Health-around 7000 at max level Stamina-Around 2000 at max level Oxygen-around 1000 at max level Food-around 10000 at max level Weight-Around 1200 at max level Melee damage at 100%=around 50 Overall, this creature is about as strong as a rex. Controls- Main attack-bite secondary attack-gas attack C or R3-Swith gas attack normal controls for all other movement and sprinting Well, that's it for the cretoprocirrus. A giant rove beetle fits the vibe of the map well, and I think that it would be a great addition to the game with its abilities, features, and environment. Hopefully this does well with voting and people like this suggestion. I'm not sure if it would be good for PVP or not, and I'm hoping that its balanced enough, but hopefully it can do its intended purposes well if it was added into the game. Any ideas, feedback, or constructive criticism is welcome. We'll see how Cretoprocirrus Venenumfumi does in the vote!
