    This guy, can now confirm that NetServerMaxTickRate=XX works on my ark server, hehe 😎 I still need to test the Network rats work, but it appears that it is running quit well so fare 🙂

    Okay, i can maybe explain some of the confusion about what server fps is and is not.. First off calling it server fps is a decision made by the engine devs aka The Unreal engine. A fun fact, it is also called this in The Conan Exiles server running on the same engine 😛 However, what is meant by "server fps" is usually described as "tick rate" it is the time it takes for the server to react. Now that we got that straiten out, there has to be a limit on server fps(Tick rate) since game coding "can be" dependent on the server running at a predefined max rate. The game could become wonky if it is not coded correct. There is also a fact that if the server fps was unlimited it could stall the windows or Linux server running the game server. When you change the server fps in Ark you change the amount of single core performance that can be used and since Ark Unreal engine does not run on a real multi threaded engine. the threads are set in serial so having high CPU clock is really impotent for ark servers. In practice an ark server running 30 server fps on a 3 GHz CPU core will use about 18 to 20 % at most per core if you are running on a quad core CPU. I would think that changing the server fps, would give you better performance but also use more of your CPU power per core. Just a note: server fps(Tick rate) has nothing to do with client fps (Frame rate), so get that out of your dirty mind! Where stuff gets bad with Ark servers is that they hide some of the impotent engine commands ether because they think we are to stupid to use them or the devs did not code some of the mechanics right. Like in Conan exiles NPC turn rate gets broken when you tinker with the server fps 😢 I have not yet tested this in Ark, so i am not sure. I would however also like to test this in Ark, i found this information that might help you: lines to add into ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\Engine.ini [/script/onlinesubsystemutils.ipnetdriver] NetServerMaxTickRate=30 Please do test changing this on a test server before using it! Setting it to 60 should set the new server fps max to 60. The full engine.ini command overview: Settings in the game.ini: Again test before use! Gl hf guys.

    Sooner or later the will be a new map or a mod that gives access to aberration content just like SE. I also own the aberration dlc but i don't mind having it on other maps or like a huge under ground to Ragnarok.

    hello everyone, Now this is a suggestion for you. What about adding a huge Aberration underground to the Ragnarok map? Is that a great idea or what? :-) You know the last missing 1% could be a big beautiful 1% we are already surrounded by water, big water, ocean water :-P /Shepard

    ORP2 Discontinued suggestion

    The problems with orp2 mod are as you say. you need to only use specific settings to not corrupt buildings and dinos. That is why we need a new better one, with the same ideas. Regarding the purge system, this would not work on my cluster. The idea is to have almost invonarabel structures when purge is not happening and this leads to admins having to create a lot of ruls that then have to be enforced. It is also a system that is extremely unpopular when you ask players. It also has some of the same problems as the build in Offline raid Prevention system. One example of this is that you are not claiming an area but claiming structure placement in an area and this will encourages structure spamming. When i think about the ORP having to work cluster wide, then i don't agree with what you are saying. The ORP should only work per server else you can get offline raided while being on another server and that does not make sens to me. I do also think that creating a cluster wide ORP would be really hard to do. There is one thing that would be a great addition to an new ORP mod and that is if you could also change turret damage. I would like to set it to 2x when the tribe is offline, that would help making it harder to offline raid other players.

    They need to fix the save lag again, they did fix it before but when they add new patches it get worse and worse. I do understand that the size of the save file matters, so that only stacks with the impacts of the patches :'( Btw, i did decide to start a new season of my ark server and i have seen improvement to patching and the quality of the patches so that is some good stuff.

    Ark Server Performance CPU 20% max cap!

    I was thinking that it could be a limit to the engine or the server software or something like that. If this is a problem in the wildcard game code, then surly it can be fixed. I do understand that this might be quite a big issue.
