With an impaling, spear-like, crest on the top of its head, dagger sharp talons, and a wings sharper than swords, this raptor of the sky can easy cut through bolas and nets in half the time making it very difficult to contain. If found in the wild, it is best to keep your distance. These flying beasts have a very keen eye for survivors. They actively hunt out and stalk survivor encampments awaiting to strike the survivors at the most opportune moment. When this moment comes, these birds are quick to immobilize their prey with their crest by swooping out of the sky at lightning speeds where they will then feast on their kill. They have a very aggresive temperment to smaller and lighter creatures and survivors. Tamed The only way to successfully tame this beast is by hunting for it at night when it lay sleeping. They make very little sound so finding one poses a very difficult challenge. Once found, you must act quickly to lay a trap because once woken the Nyctosaurus goes into a rage where it deals 3x damage and has a speed boost. It is a normal knockout tame, but bolas and nets won't work on this bird. It must be trapped. If you manage to hunt and trap one of these creatures and live to tell the tale this bird would prove very advantagous to your tribe. With its quick swooping ability, you are able to quickly gain the upper hand in an aerial battle. The crest allows you to easily knock players off tames and immobilize them. This bird can easily out run pteradons, desmodus, and even wyverns. This creature also has the ability to locate hidden enemies with its crest similar to the parasaur.
