  1. Species: Hadrokirus Hydrostus Time: Late Miocene Diet: Carnivore/Piscivore Temperament: Relaxed/Predatory Any art or dossiers are welcomed. Hadrokirus should be a mid to late game tame. I think I’d be cool for it to spawn in a variety of locations. The Center is a watery map that has a lot of beach and artic places, feels like it just fits a seal. WILD Hearing barking or bellowing out on the glaciers or beaches of The Center is not uncommon, you’re around a pod of Hadrokirus. These giant seals rule the beaches and the coasts of the arctic. They can be seen in pods of 1 male and 4 females with babies scattered about. They are lumbering, a sight to behold with the males being the largest of the pod. They spend their time on land lounging, sleeping, and playing, even picking the player up before dropping them. But Hadrokirus must eat a lot to sustain their body fat. So, when entering the water, Hadrokirus becomes a super predator, attacking and eating anything within there, including humans. When encountering a pod of hunting Hadrokirus, one will go to the surface and let out a bellow that can be heard for miles, aggroing all Hadrokirus in the pod. They’ll rip you apart and pick you up (not playfully) and drown you. If the prey puts up more of a fight, the Hadrokirus will use its STEAM BREATH that melts flesh and boils whatever it’s attacking. TAMING Hadrokirus are docile on land but aggressive in water. One might think to feed it on land, but Hadrokirus isn’t hungry when on land and way too aggressive to hand feed in water. Tranqs don’t work as its blubber is too tough, however, you can use its playful and predatory behavior against it. Putting tamed Kairuku on passive flee will excite Hadrokirus as they love the chase and taste of Kairuku. Chasing, attacking and eating the Kairuku will slowly fill its taming, so you’ll need a lot of penguins. The longer the Kairuku lasts, the more taming you’ll get, so high heath Kairuku are essential. THE STEAM MACHINE Hadrokirus utilizes steam in its hunting and intimidation. Once tamed, the STEAM BREATH is a devastating weapon while also offering utility. Steam uses water, Hadrokirus must drink water to fill its bar, or you can manually give it water through water skins, jars, and canteens. The steam does a lot of damage, burning everything in front of it, and the steam can even damage the rider (if the saddle protects the player like the Andrewsarchus or Magmasaur, you’ll be fine). The steam will linger for 8 seconds and will do even more damage underwater, this takes a lot of water and stamina. STEAM ENGINE SADDLE Hadrokirus has a special saddle that acts as a fabricator but is much more expensive. Those willing to spend will be granted with a fully working steam engine that can convert water into power. Having the Hadrokirus saddle on and near electronics will power them like a generator. The water drains much slower than a generator and has much greater range. It even protects the player from the cold but not the heat. CORPSE DEBUFF When a Hadrokirus dies its body take days to weeks to decompose, and far away carnivores will sense it and make their way towards it. This might make a Hadrokirus corpse look like a hazard, but when a carnivore feeds, due to the fat, blubber, and nutrient rich meat, the carnivore will become full and turn neutral. This is Hadrokirus’ satisfaction debuff. To Rex, to Spino, to Allo, to Raptor, almost every wild carnivore will become neutral and not attack you (you can use this to trap\tame carnivores easier). If a human consumes the meat, they will gain increased health regen, weight, and fortitude. UTILITY AND COMBAT Hadrokirus are experts in digesting fish and Kairuku. Able to consume meat, bones, and skin while deposing of unwanted waste, like black pearls and blueprints. Kairuku = a small amount of black pearls. Fish = a chance of getting blueprints. Hadrokirus have decent carry weight and water speed, but horrible land speed. They are tough with thick blubber to resist bullets and bites, immune to any ice attack, and cannot be frozen. Their blubber gives insulation to everything in the area. Hadrokirus gain an excitement buff from killing penguins. The buff increases its organic polymer penguin harvesting, land speed, damage, and stamina by 30% while increasing the STEAM BREATH damage by 10%. Buff lasts for 2 minutes. ABILITIES · First button’s a basic bite that does good damage and does great damage to Kairuku. Holding the button down will pick up the target with a drag weight of 125 and lower (the titans have weirdly low drag weights so just ignore stuff like that). · Second button’s STEAM BREATH with high damage that hits through mounts and lingers, dealing more damage underwater. Any creature that takes no or reduced damage from fire takes no damage from this. · Third button’s a loud bellow that stuns small creatures and humans for 5 seconds. Larger creatures get their attack speed cut in half. It’s even louder and travels farther in the water. It’s on a 5-minute cool down but in between, Hadrokirus does an emote seal clap, *arf arf’s* and all. · Jump button’s a belly flop, dealing huge damage and knock back. VOTE FOR THE MEGA SEAL The sight of a pod of giant seals swimming across your starter base would be amazing, especially with the baby seals around. Here are some extra ideas I had but I’m unsure about and please give suggestions. · Being around the STEAM saddle will boost the speed of mechanical saddle users like Magmasaur, Andrewsarchus, Roll rat, and maybe Tek saddles. · The saddle can STEAM and boil food like an industrial cooker.
  2. Scutosaurus, the Mineral Master Species: Scutosaurus Talosus Time: Late Permian Diet: Mineralivore\Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Any art or dossiers are welcomed. WILD I have never seen the animal equivalent of those rock elementals back in scorched. These trike sized parareptiles are ruff skinned and sturdy but almost as fast as a morellatops. I initially thought they were herbivorous, but after seeing them eat stone after stone, metal nodes, and crystal deposits, it’s safe to say they’re not just vegetarian. They eat so much of the stuff that they grow rock and gem manes. They can be found in every part of Aberration but they’re a bit on the rarer side of every zone. Living in the more shaded locations, foraging in herds of 3 to 4. They’re heavily built with large upper bodies, similar looking to the Moschops, but more elongated coming in colorations of dark bluish greens and grays. The main feature of the Scutosaurus Talosus is its mineral armor that it gets from its diet allowing it to take on giants like Spinosaurus and Karkinos. (Art by Mark Witton) TAMING Scutosaurus taming is difficult, it’s too territorial to be passive tamed and to resistant to narcotic effects as it eats many Ascerbic mushrooms. The only way to tame it is to blow up its armor and feed it minerals. Basically, Scutosaursus’ armor is not ingrained into it, meaning that you’re able to chip it off. Guns and dinos won’t work well though, you’ll only remove a small bit of its armor. Explosives are recommended or anything with high AOE damage. Once all armor is removed, the Scutosaurus will panic, eating any rock or metal node in sight to replenish its armor. This IS YOUR CHANCE TO FEED IT, repeat this process until it’s tamed. FOOD REQUIREMENTS Flint (bad) Stone (ok) Crystal (good) Metal (great) Element (best, but it will take a little damage. It won’t ruin its taming effectiveness) SCUTOSAURUS’ ABILITIES MINERAL ARMOR UPGRADE STATION Starting with mineral armor, the scutosaurus eats many minerals. As a result, the body will spit out the waste on the scutosaurus’ back, causing there to be mineable gems sprouting out its back; creating a small bit of light as Scutosaurus don’t provide their own bioluminescence. All you need is a pickaxe to mine the gems off its back and depending on the region, you may find that your scutosaurus it will have different gem types: green gems, blue gems, and red gems. Scutosaurus can be found where these gems are found. There can be up to 4 nodes of gems on its back. Same goes for tamed ones, just feed them the gems you want produced. 1 gem = 1 node (you must wait one hour for all gem nodes to fill up.) Their mineral diet also dictates their type of armor. Each armor gives Scutosaurus different effects. FLINT ARMOR: Not too different from the scutosaurus’ natural armor but it catches fire way easier, even sparks from guns can ignite it. Melee attacking it with human or dino while on fire will set the attacker on fire. STONE ARMOR: The most basic, you gain more armor, and you gain the ability to launch boulders at foes. Not doing as much damage as a Chalicotherium, but it is faster. CRYSTAL ARMOR: It doesn’t give any actual armoring but comes with other effects. You get 10% speed, and 50% resistance to debuff effects like fire, freeze, torpor, stuns etc. METAL ARMOR: You get much more armor and cannot be picked up nor knocked back, but you’re 10% slower and you can’t swim. You can only walk at the bottom of the water. ELEMENT ARMOR: The strongest but also most dangerous. Feeding it to your Scutosaurus will cause it to take 20% damage. You will enter corrupted rage mode for 5 minutes with a 3-hour in-game cool down. The scutosaurus’ eyes turn a purplish pink, and you get 90% resistance, 10% speed, 30% damage buff, and if bitten, reflect a small amount of damage back. After 5 minutes, the scutosaurus will take 50% of its health in damage and enter sluggish mode. It will move slower, regen slower, and can only walk. The 3-hour cooldown will come into effect, and you must wait for it to wear off. UPGRADE STATION The scutosaurus can eat and spit out items to upgrade gear, such as saddles and weapons. Just put the item in its inventory with the required resources. This will be slightly more expensive than the item’s original cost but upgrading mastercraft items to ascendant will be 2x more expensive. The build quality and success rate will be dictated by the scutosaurus’ crafting skill. However, it doesn’t matter how high the scutosaurus’ crafting skill is, the cap is always lower than blueprints. Upgrading items with the scutosaurus is a quick way of upgrading equipment but in the long run, finding Blueprints holds a better result. ATTACKS · Basic attack is a single foot stomp, good damage and hits decently fast. Holding the button will do a duo foot stomp, great damage with a slight cool down. It also uproots buried creatures. · The second attack is a bite that collects good crystal, flint, and gems, and does extra damage to Flack and Tek armor. · The third “attack” is a stomp roar. Just for effect. · Jump button is a belly slam that shatters your current armor so you can replace it with a new one. This does the most knock back and damage. · Press the two attack buttons in Stone Armor to throw boulders. WEAKNESSES While Scutosaurus might be a good sprinter, it has bad agility. Its turning circle also isn’t the greatest, it’s better equipped to fight larger creatures and its armor can be chipped fairly easy if your opponent has a plan. (model in WWB) Basically, I wanted a creature that takes the aspects of the gems and rocks of Aberration, and it’s always good to have strong herbivores on the roster. This also doesn’t replace the Doedicurus or Ankylosaurus in particular. VOTE FOR THE SCUTO And please tell me more ideas to make this guy even better.
  3. APPERIENCE Same height as a raptor yet longer and skinnier. Coelophysis is a medium theropod that comes in colors of tan, red, brown, and orange. WILD Coelophysis are group animals that like to congregate around water and food areas. However, they do not pack up and there are no leaders a no social hierarchy. They don't get a pack boost and just group up for protection and feeding opportunities. They prefer arid deserts and dry lands and while encountering a Coelophysis group, it's almost impossible to spot them, they have the ability to camouflage and therefor hide in plain sight. When the Coelophysis group detects you, they will start swarming from all sides making your items drop on the ground, coming out of camo mode attacking and going back into it and they have a stamina draining bite so running into a group without prep is a mistake. They have a similar outnumbered behavior as the hyaenodon however, Coelophysis don't just run they bolt in the other direction far away from the area and being that there so fast it's very hard to find and track them. TAMING Like many other creatures Coelophysis are too wild to tranq tame and hand feed, so you have to get their eggs. Interestingly Coelophysis keep the eggs in their inventory, and they need to be knocked out to take to the eggs. This is no easy task as Coelophysis have an auto dodge ability (I'll get into that later) and will run if their alone and since their so fast and stealthy it can be hard to even land shoots. Once hatched and tamed Coelophysis is a loyal yet dangerous companion it has a saddle, but you don't need a saddle to ride it. Their incredible agile able to jump far and run on walls for a short time, pressing the jump button while jumping off walls or jumping will make the Coelophysis do tricks like flipping, spinning etc. Not only does this look cool but doing this 5 times in a row will give Coelophysis a speed and stamina buff that last for 3 minutes. In combat Coelophysis is a glass canon, even with a saddle Coelophysis is quite easy to kill however, they auto dodge ability which has a chance for them to not take any damage. They can dodge bullets, bites, turret fire, player melee and ranged attacks pretty much anything except for explosions and this dodge chance is determined by a stat usually level is determined how much dodge chance they have the minimum is 5% the max is 75% it can be leveled and mutated but it cannot exceed 75%. Next is the basic attack, as said before it drains stam and does good damage but where this move shines is the buffed damage it gets when you attack creatures from behind. Attacking any and all creature when they are turned away will do massive damage until the creature turns around, if a human turns away any weapon their holding is dropped and biting again will pick up the weapon similar to the whip. Camouflage it's pretty self-explanatory in cloaks and can't be seen by dinos or turrets. Lasty is the claw stab, by itself it's not the best but feeding it recipes is where this attack works for example feeding it med brews will make the claws inject its victims with med brews or feeding it energy brews will make it inject energy brews this even works with custom recipes. So, you can basically give your Coelophysis a poison claw attack or a health claw attack to heal allies, but the recipe only works once so you have to make multiple recipes for your creature to consume. INSHORT I tried going for an assassin creature and I think Coelophysis makes since for it and Coelophysis is very popular, so I think be a good creature for ark. And if this dossier DOES NOT CONVINCE YOU, THIS WILL!
  4. APPERIENCE Hadrokirus is a large seal with big teeth, they can come in colors of brown, tan, white, and black. Larger than Dire Bear, shorter than a mammoth, males have a fur mane. WILD Hadrokirus can be seen in packs of 5 to 10. While on land. Hadrokirus is slow and lumbering and is only aggressive to Kairuku. While in the water, it is a super predator attacking almost anything. When it aggros to you, it will go to the surface of the water and let out a loud bellow that can be heard for miles and attack you. Hadrokirus also have a pickup attack On land they will only use this to play with you but in water they drown creatures. I think the pickup limit should be Equus and lower. TAMED Taming Hadrokirus is a little difficult to tame because it's thick blubber stop any and all tranq arrows or darts but it's to wild to be hand fed. So the only way to tame Hadrokirus is to take it to warmer climate. While on a beach or forest, Hadrokirus will passively lose torpor do to its blubber making it over heat. At 50% torpor Hadrokirus blubber will be retraced allowing you to hit it with tranq arrows and darts. But don't underestimate Hadrokirus. It's roar can stun you and it is fast thanks to it's retraced blubber. Once tamed, Hadrokirus is an amazing mount. It's fast in the water and has a fur saddle perfect for keeping you alive when traveling. They are very strong with an armor piercing attack and a tail attack that does ok damage. It can slow small creatures and with thick blubber to resist bullets and bites, immune to any ice attack, and cannot be frozen. Hadrokirus will get rage form killing Kairuku and gather more organic polymer. CORPSE DEBUFF When a Hadrokirus dies its body take days to weeks to decompose and far away carnivores will sense it and make there way towards it. This might make a Hadrokirus corpse look like a hazard but when a carnivore feeds, do to the fat, blubber, and nutrient rich meat the carnivore will become full and turn neutral. This is Hadrokirus satisfaction debuff, to rex to spino to allo to raptor almost every carnivore will become neutral and not attack you (you can use this to trap\tame carnivores easer). If a human consumes the meat they will gain increased heath regen, weight, and fortitude. IN SHORT I think Hadrokirus would be a great fit and it needs more attention. And if this dossier DOES NOT CONVINCE YOU, THIS WILL!
