Suggestion

Common name: Titan hippo
Species: Hippopotamus gorgops titanicus
Time period: late Pliocene
Diet: herbivore
Temperament: aggressive

Wild

Only sligthly smaller then a stegosaurus, Hippopotamus gorgops titanicus inhabits the biolumenecent areas of this ARK. A dangerous enviroment, Titan hippos have evolved the ability to quickly change their temperament in response to a given situation. They achieve this by releasing a thick fluid survivors often refer to as "hippo sweat" from special sweat glands. This fluid is filled with hormones and protects a hippo's skin from hazardous elements. I've observed titan hippos release 3 diffrent types of them, a red one filled with adrenaline, making them extremly aggressive, an especialy thick blue one that protects them from various injuries and a green one greatly increasing speed and endurance.

Domesticated

Being a giant hippo, it's jaws are of course of great value to any survivor. I've seen them harvest various resources such as berries, wood and even metal at a moderate efficency and transport them with little difficulty. The meer sight of a hippo charging with an open jaw is enough to detter most predators, not to mention the thunderous force of it's bite either. But by far the most valuable aspect of a titan hippo is it's sweat, with a body shake it can apply it to nearby survivors and allied creatures, which makes it invaluable as a support tank to any tribe. It's properties seem to have almost the same effect on any other creature, greatly boosting the desirable capabilities of any pack or army.

Abilities:

-LBM: basic bite (used for harvesting rocks, metal nodes...)

-hold LBM: charged bite, the titan hippo slowly opens it's mouth and closes it with great force, resulting in not only high base dmg but also a thunderous shockwave that deals notably less dmg then the bite itself but with a much greater AoE. The longer it's charged the more dmg it does. May intimidate smaller predators when running with this attack

-RBM: headbut, deals slightly less dmg then a bite but much better knockback (used for harvesting trees and berries)

hold RBM: grab, the titan hippo grabs an enemy creature with it's jaws, from here it can deal dmg by using it's basic bite, the intial attack deals only 0.5× of it's base dmg but increases with each bite untill capped at 2×. Grabbed creatures can escape by dealing enough dmg to the hippo (they can still attack). Based on the size of the creature it may grab them in diffrent ways:
•up to parasaur sized creatures are picked up and can be thrown similar to a mammoth
•stego sized creatures are immobilised, the hippo can drag them around but can't outright run
•any larger the hippo will meerly imobilise

-C: sweat mode switch, switches between the 3 types of sweat similar to amarga or stego
•adrenaline, while the effect is active, with each one of the hippo's attacks, it's damage increases rapidly, increasing even faster if the hippo is taking damage while at it, untill it either hits the cap or stops attacking, at which point the buff will rapidly plummet
•resilience, while active the hippo recieves a buff which reduces the duration of status effects by 50% (includes fire dmg, radiation, mushroom effects, freezing abilities, bleeds...)
•mobility, while active the hippo's speed is increased by 20%, charge build up significantly reduced+boosted hp and stamina regen

-hold C roar, applies the effect of whatever sweat mode is curently active, to itself and nearby creatures as well as survivors for 1min, with a a cooldown after the effect expires. (Allies recieve a reduced version of the buff, adrenaline bile adds significantly less dmg, resilience reduces effects by only 33%...)

-space: a short bash, which can be used with the charge to either build speed quicker or to deal great damage at high speeds

-Additional stuff:

•Titan hippos have a 50% weight reduction on basic resources
•it has a charge build-up sprint mechanic like an andrew/rhino/bear. While it starts out significantly faster then then 3, it's top speed is not nearly as fast.
•it sinks to the bottom of any body of water like a karkinos. From there it's space bar bash turns into more of a jump, if used with the sprint it gains heavily increased jump distance and speed, like an underwater ferox.
Can perform a slow swim by double taping space bar
